Been subbed since 200k (about) and not once have I had problems . I think the problem lies when you go past the looking and go straight into touching .
It depends what you're watching back to back... ex: how to kick a door in, best times to break into house, what to do after you've broken into house ect....
If you had glasses/goggles that just absorbed whatever wavelength of light the laser is you would only be at risk from the heating aspect, which didn't sound all that great.

He attached them to a welding mask because the glasses probably didn't cover light coming in from the sides well, but you don't need an entire welding mask for that. You can get better fitting goggles or just some tape to block the light on the edges. The focus of the beam was also clearly pretty close in front of the gun ~2 feet. This means the effectiveness/power drops off significantly if you aren't at this exact distance from the end of the gun. A regular magnifying glass and the sun can catch wood/paper on fire with pretty much the same effectiveness, granted this can be used at night or indoors and at any angle.

Hey Rogues! That "Handheld gatling gun" looks alot like something called a Pepperbox Revolver. Basically a early multi shot pistol design before they figured out how to align the cylinder with the barrel.

There is nothing wrong with being insane! To survive or even to flourish today in this society you have to be “a few. Bricks shy of a full load.” As long as you do no harm to others it should be okay. That laser bazooka used parts from a microwave to fire and yeah it takes a second to light cardboard on fire but it has extremely dangerous potential. He just wanted to avoid burning down the house.
