For future reference or anyone who what's to try this, the best way to remove the top part of the sharpie is to grab the cap and the bottom of the sharpie while it is closed and then just bend it the top will pop off
Hey man love the show. I have a helpful idea to make the smoke much thicker. Adding the uncooked power mix to melted parafin wax then putting it in the pen, makes it very thick

Craft paper fitted with insulation is extremely flammable. Insulation has a flash point but it’s high.
Craft paper that ignites has the potential to get the insulation to flash point, where it contains so much heat it combusts.

Corey you can take a blowtorch directly to fibeglass and it melts. That’s it’s safety feature. It however combusts when it contains heat that has been building and building and building from what its surrounded in or around, if craft paper catches fire, and the beams and structures within the walls also catch fire, left to burn the fibreglass will reach a point in which it won’t be able to take any more heat and dispose of it so it’ll just go up in flames. The majority of it would have been melted away by that point anyways

You make flash paper the same way you make flash cotton. All you are doing is nitrating the cellulose in the paper or cotton to make nitrocellulose.
As an actual legitimate pentester, can confirm that this is close enough to what I do.
I would like you to attach some rocket candy to a lock, and see if you can open the lock. Or, make a small thing that fits into a lock, made of candy. Or, better yet, just sharpie someone's lock lol.

You know they make Armstrong's mixture that is just in the middle of a string and you pull both sides to pop it no party thing destruction necessary. Also USE A HIGHLIGHTER, they have more area and you can remove the back so you can shove the rocket smoke mix in easier.

That "rocket candy" is no joke. My friend made some back in high school. He made some that were the size and appearance of peanut butter cookies. Lit one on fire and it made enough smoke to make it look like a house was completely on fire.

the smoke bomb mixture actually works better when it is just a powder. the reason is when you cook is, you caramelize the sugar and evaporate some of the potassium nitrate
The title sounds like the description of a chinese Amazon product.
I have a suggestion for this, instead of cutting of the top and threading the string through, you can just pour hot glue into the top of the cap and put the rest of the pen into the cap upside down, let it cool and then you can pop it. this way, it will look more natural

So, if you're looking for bigger sharpies (just in general, but sure, this is an application that bigger could be better) look up a Sharpie pro. They're big bulky sumbiches meant for use in a general contractor setting. There are also the metal cased sharpie magnum, but I'd tread lightly with that. We're already in grenade territory.

Potassium chlorate in the right ratio with sugar will give off more smoke and burns cooler. You can add dyes for colored smoke too.

In order to make it burn slower, add a little bit of baking powder. A little goes a long way. It'll make more smoke and burn for longer
Flash cotton goes bad after a while. Draws moisture and won't light well

Now that they did the newspaper smoke paper thing I’m gonna try doing this but putting smoke newspaper into a shredder and packing as many small bits of smoke paper into the pen

I think a good way to do the fuse would be to use a small dab of hot glue on the end of the pull string and glue it to the inside of the cap
It'd make it more concealed and a more fluid trigger when you pull the cap off.
When your making the rocket candy add water to the mixture and boil it off while making it to make the rocket candy burn slower and make more smoke
The actual way to build it would be best to use the thicker version of the r candy so that way we can then use the end of the stick to make just a short hole once r candy starts lighting you don't need anything else to keep it going I will go on its own then also instead of cutting the tip the way you did just pull the nib out and put the Armstrongs Wick through the top where the nib was then glue it inside the cap so that way it has a nice tight seal and it will pop very easily. Just think how hard it was to pull the Sharpie apart no glue will be needed to keep the wick in place other than in the cap

Instead of cooking the smoke mix to a paste keep it as a powder and mix in melted wax. Iv seen tutorials online that show you get a longer more controlled burn with more smoke and less flame as a result.
