I realize this is a week old video but I am die hard Jones fan and I truly believe that Thiago Santos was a great match up. Here's what I think. Jones knew Thiago messed up his knee but didn't want anyone to say that he only won that match because he took down a guy with a blown out knee. So Jon took him on in the fairest way possible, (in this scenario), which is fighting standing up. I also noticed Jon didn't throw any crazy moves which meant he took Thiago very seriously. I also think Jon didn't go all out so that if the match did go to a rematch, Thaigo wouldn't be able to study the footage. With Thiago having a messed up leg, technically, Jon wouldn't be able to study Thiago to the fullest as well since Thiago was fighting unlike himself because of the injury.
The reason John didn't take him down when he could have is cuz he loves to challenge himself and beat you at your own game. Like he wrestled DC who is one of the best wrestlers in their first fight and he ground-and-pounded chael sonnen whose one of the best at that. If you don't believe me he even said it after both those wins.
Ngannu is the only real threat imo. All it would take is one punch from Francis and I don't think Jon would be able to take him down. Jon would have to fight a perfect fight standing making almost no mistakes and just out point him.

Daniel Thorold I agree with the first part but the gsp fight was never interesting to me. He’s so old and out of his prime. If he can beat Dustin and tony he’ll be the best lightweight of all time. But if he moves up to welterweight and wins that strap I’d consider him one of the goats.
J Khabib’s opponents aren’t anywhere near the level of any of the goats. His only top level wins are RDA and Conor, and even then he’s only undefeated because of a BS decision against Tibau which he really didn’t win. I realize this is a week old video but I am die hard Jones fan and I truly believe that Thiago Santos was a great match up. Here's what I think. Jones knew Thiago messed up his knee but didn't want anyone to say that he only won that match because he took down a guy with a blown out knee. So Jon took him on in the fairest way possible, (in this scenario), which is fighting standing up. I also noticed Jon didn't throw any crazy moves which meant he took Thiago very seriously. I also think Jon didn't go all out so that if the match did go to a rematch, Thaigo wouldn't be able to study the footage. With Thiago having a messed up leg, technically, Jon wouldn't be able to study Thiago to the fullest as well since Thiago was fighting unlike himself because of the injury.
