Worked as an extra on this a long long time ago . I think it was the second movie set I'd ever been on . It was very cool to see a real pro like Sean Connery at work. He would be joking around and as soon as they yelled Action! he would snap into character in an instant. And to this day I can still remember the director Richard Brooks shaking his fist at an airplane that flew overhead while the cameras were rolling and yelling "Goddamit ! Can't you see the red light is on ? We're trying to make a movie here ! "
Great movie with the late Sean Connery, the late John Saxon, the late Robert Conrad, the late Robert Webber, the late George Grizzard, the late G.D. Spradlin, the late Henry Silva, the late Dean Stockwell, the late Leslie Nielsen (God love them all and RIP to all those great actors). And the movie also has Katherine Ross and a very young Jennifer Jason Leigh. Great trailer about it too.

Based on the book 1979 "The Better Angels" by Charles McCarrry. There was a sequel in 1995 called "Shelley's Heart."
It happened ... 20 years later ... it startet with 9/11, 2001. Saw this visionary movie on the big screen in 1982 and later on TV, just once. It's time for another viewing.
Richard Brooks never made a bad movie, never! A fantastic director, totally underrated. RIP.

I just watched this movie because I'm a fan of Jennifer Jason Leigh. she's only in it for a minute near the beginning but like a lot of the films she's in it turned out to be surprisingly INTERESTING,
Director Richard Brooks also directed "Blackboard Jungle" (1955) which starred JJL's dad Vic Morrow…maybe she got a little part because of this connection
Anyway I didn't expect this to be a good movie but it really was odd and strangely prophetic. Thanks JJL!! I was looking for you but found a really good movie!!!
Jennifer was also great in The Hudsucker Proxy.
I'd love to see the whole movie again, after 2 viewings when it came out and on TV in the 90ies. Anyone could upload it entirely? Please. 🙂👍👏

The fantastic movie which predicted 9 11. Fan. This was banned for a long time,l ike even or as today the Seven days of may, with Burt Lanchester and Kirk Douglas,also once the wife of Frank Sinatra, should be mentioned, called Ava Gardner. Sorry currently I dont remember who played the President,but was a great actor who played with Spencer Tracy in my other favorite movie. sorry if this note was too long. From Budapest.Note again:Tthe movie Dirty Harry was first proposed to Frank Sinatra,than to John Wayne,and only later to Mr.Eastwood, and star was born.

I thought my car was stolen on top of that while I was waiting I was being stalked I called 911 thinking my car was stolen I knew that I was below the tow threshold had a ticket that I needed to pay even with that ticket when I went to redeem my car and the fees it was $307.00 but here is my car being towed I'm stressed out I'm being stalked just to add to my stress. Wrong is wrong right is right its not the first time something like this happens where a wrong was committed.
What was supposed to happen was that that little ticket was to be left in my window lime the rest of the cars that were there and ticketed that was the RIGHT thing to do.
I honestly don't t see the majority of people in a good light all the children and babies yes the people who really kept it real with me time is winding down I don't think ego man gets it, I'm keeping my distance for reason
The Scene with Leslie Nielson at 1:30 isn't in the movie.
I can guess why. The beginning of political correctness.
Also the exploding helicopter appears only on a video monitor in the film.

Looks like it's trying to capitalize on the humor of Dr. Strangelove in a much more 'over the top' way. Some good lines in the trailer. (It's time for God fearing Christians to come out of the closet! - Don't tell them yes, and don't tell them no, don't even say maybe! Tell them you'll call them back - but don't! That's how you get to stay president.) Dare I say a cross between Paddy Chayefsky and the Zucker Bros?

Wrong is wrong right is right ✅ in NYC your car can be towed if you owe 350 or more. My car was towed not because it was right because it was wrong. I made a mistake parked In a no standing zone I was wrong it wasn't International however what was wrong was that I was below the tow threshold thats wrong that tells me that I was targeted and someone acted in spite
