McBee OIS suspect dead following multi agency chase, standoff in Pee Dee

The suspect in the shooting of a McBee police officer late Thursday night is confirmed dead after a standoff in Lee County, by the Darlington County line.
The suspect, 27-year-old Alston Modilin, was found Friday morning around 10 a.m. after the standoff near Una Road following a Blue Alert Friday morning. An Horry County official said a shooting incident took place and Modilin was confirmed dead by the Lee County Coroner's Office. Lee County Coroner, Larry Logan, said an autopsy will be performed on Tuesday morning.
