  • Опубліковано 16 січ 2023
  • In this video we show you how Ghee is made in the traditional Vedic way, using the Bilona method. Milk is first set into curd This is then churned to get butter. Ghee is obtained by heating the butter and filtering it.
In this video we take you on our tour to Gir GauJatan Sansthan in Gondal, Gujarat. This is run by Shri Ramesh Ruparelia. His is a success story of how he grew from a farm labourer to owner of many acres of agricultural land as well as 250 cows.
He specialises in organic farming where no chemical pesticides or fertilisers are used. Also he has developed indigenous cow breeds for A2 milk and dairy products.
He has turned it into a profitable business venture and now exports nearly 140 dairy, by-products(such as anaerobic fertilisers) and agro products worldwide.

I make it the same way.
But I collect the Cream n make it into Curds n then extract the Butter.
I get Cream from the Milk I buy *Hutatma Cows Milk* from *Sangli*
3 times a day I extract Cream from 1 Litre of Milk.
I also use a small Bilona to Churn the Curds by Hand. It takes time but Good Exercise for me.😊
I am 60 years Old now

@@GitasKitchenvery hard to find real ghee here in America .
I used to always get it at my Indian Grocers but I don't even trust a lot of those ghees ... they never say on the label that they are from the A2 cows which I have known about for many years now .
Also here in America a small amount of organic ghee from grass-fed cows is actually very expensive😮.

Fascinating video. So interesting and informative. We are buying A2 cow milk only since a few months. But the curd is a little watery. The little malai that forms on top, I remove and churn into butter. The ghee from this tastes divine. Now Amul has brought out A2 buffalo milk. I use that for turning into curd because the curd sets well. Have still not made butter from it. Just started buying recently.
My mother always used to remove the malai from the curd (not milk), collect it for a few days and then make butter.

I have always shared your videos and now again with this amazing eye opener video. Toooo much modernization and technology around. Offcourse there's positive growth plus in keeping up with the Jones. But there's also a lot of side effects as well. This is the modern generation.

It’s possible because most commercial companies make ghee from milk cream and not curd. The leftover milk can be used as toned milk or for other dairy products. That’s why it’s nominally priced but nutritionally there’s no difference between regular ghee or a2 ghee. Taste, aroma and texture would be better for A2 ghee.
