  • Walking, Hiking, Messed up legs, knees, and ankles, Self Defense, harvesting, climbing, crossing streams, defending against aggressive pokemon...There's lots of reasons to have a good unbreakable walking stick. Cold Steel is about the only game in town when it comes to this kind of thing. We look at my new favorite (The Axe Head Cane), the Steven Seagal Ten Shin, and the Irish Blackthorn Walking Staff.

I have a three year old cold steel walkabout, love it. I keep behind my door at home and in my van when I go out. My regular walking cane is deadly but I have developed a system of strikes with this walking stick that gives me more confidence. I am 70, broke my back in service, lost left leg in mc wreck. I figured that an old Vietnam vet can not and will not be a victim.

I am an experienced camper/survivalist with Sickle Cell Anemia. So the idea of an unbreakable walking stick is a great find for people like me.The irony is that I am watching this video while in the hospital. Thanks for the video!

I have the blackthorn walking staff, fits my 6'3" frame almost perfectly. Light & very comfortable in the hands. 👍🏻

Thank you Chris for doing this vid,,,I indeed have a bum leg due to a construction accident and have been walking with a cane for about 15 years now...the cane I have been using for the last few years is the Cold Steel African Walking Stick and I love it...the two new canes that have caught my attention is the Axe cane and the Walkabout...so again thank you very much

I want one, it should be called the pain cane. Very entertaining commentary as usual.

I currently own both sizes of the blackthorne walking sticks. The original 38", & the new 59" walking staff. I love them both!!

Dude ... you busted my stitches and earned a sub. The spontaneity of comic materials rained on you like mana from heaven. Thanks for putting humor in this serious world of preparedness.

Five weeks out of major back surgery-six titanium screws and rods in my lower back. I also have bad knees and sore shoulders. You just sold me on this axe-head cane. We shall see.

Thank you so much Chris my Dad's has a real problem with his balance sense he was diagnosed with MS in 1998 that's why he retired from the Navy! He is a big fan of cold steel i just ordered one thank you! He doesn't like to use any type of assistance, but has gotten to the point where he doesn't mind a cane! :)

I'm a couch ninja myself. Not so much with the feet but the hands are like lightning after watching a kung fu movie. Especially walking through the house to the bathroom. Then it's time for a nap.

Hey Chris, another great video bro, I just got back from the doctor's office, got a shot in each knee, and he recommended a walking stick, your video couldn't have come at a better time. Kudos to Will for the Bushcraft idea too, at 67, I ain't climbing anything anymore. You guys ROCK the House, all the best. Paul
