How did the plastic of the furby not catch fire and how did the smoke of the melting plastic not even trigger the alarm?
From a google it looks like plastic has to reach its boiling point to catch fire, so the mass of the pan and the food was probably enough to keep it from getting that hot.
0:53 I actually have a similar rule at my house. Three of the rooms in my house go around in a loop, and two of THOSE rooms are divided by a golden (which I'll call “yellow” from now on, the reason why is complicated) line. I find it redundant to have two different paths to the same room, so I try to forbid people from passing the yellow line, and not pass it myself, since it's the best candidate for the “cut-off” point for the loop (as it's the easiest room transition to remember, since it's the room transition that stands out the most). When I or someone else passes it (assuming I knew that I/they passed it, of course), I/they need to re-pass it as soon as possible, as they are now considered to be in “another dimension”, and it's dangerous to be there for long.
