Hi Folks. Opted for a way less destructive and RESTORABLE fix: 1) Open the top as shown 2) Locate the offset weight that makes anything that vibrates vibrate when it spins. 3) Slide it off the axle on the motor - GENTLY. 4) Glue the weight inside the case for future restoratiion: I used Bondic 4) Test before closing the case 5) Voila, no more buzz, unit unharmed

Its easier and safer to go in on the left hand side.
The black middle band which has a slight indent, start there when lightly prying.
You can go under with a tiny flat head screwdriver

Thank you so much for the video! I've never done anything like that before because I was always too afraid that I'd break something if I open it up. But the vibration of the go plus plus is SO annoyingly loud that i would've stopped using the device anyway. I figured I might as well give it a shot then.
The hardest part for me was removing the top part from the tape. Once that was done it was a piece of cake! "Fixed" the go plus plus of my boyfriend as well afterwards and both turned out great.
    Thank you so much!

you could also take off the piece of metal at the end for the motor with a small flat head and just push it off, the motor will still go off but with no weight at the end it won't vibrate. you can still hear the motor but its barely noticeable compared to the normal vibration.

I know it’s very small and little chance of issues, but would it be better to put a small bit of electrical tape over the clipped wires? The device would still try and send a signal to the motor every 3 seconds while playing. I can imagine over time there would be some type of heat just being put out next to the battery. Thought?

i might be wrong but... i think thats a slightly modified DSi battery too, in case you'd ever want to replace it with some sodlering. i think i might go with the route of ~drooling the entire thing iwth hot glue to prevent it for beign ablt ot rotare. tho i htink its better to snip the wire for the power. i might cut off the unbalanced weight too, part of the reason it takes so much pwoer isdue to the inbalance, with a center rod it would be reduced but ofc not 0.

It's beyond stupid that you need to do things like this, with the first spinner the two big drawbacks were the constant need to press it or use something to hold the button down then the second biggest problem was how loud/strong the vibration was. The fact they learned nothing and did the same for the second device is mind boggling and to top it off they could solve it all with a simple software update to include an option to turn off lights/vibration.

Oh like a go-tcha... But no off buttons for simple things like vibration 🤔 no battery indicator, it's huge for no reason, oh but it tracks your sleep right!? 😅 Why would we buy this over a go-tcha?... Besides brand 😂i wish this thing was better

Awesome. You MIGHT be able to snip the wire without pulling up the battery. Let me know if that works.

if they start banning gotcha's I'll just stop playing tbh. If the first instinct after paying $60 for something is to break it open and physically disable a function because that's the only way... your product is shit. Having to choose between the ball that's used... is shit. Having to click the button... is shit. Whoever comes up with this stuff should find a new job.
