- This was the first pass on a new tire that had no previous break in. turned out to be rather slippery cold with 300+ hp in first gear and more power after each gear change lol. only ran the 1 mile course due to wind. unfortunately I did not get the next run on video. the next run i had the bike on a tire warmer and it hooked up great and went 263 in the mile. Fastest pass of the year 3 years in a row at Loring Timing Association!
Stay tuned for next season as we turn it up again and try to break 270 MPH
is this a good beginner bike?
Only if you add nitrous.
It’s a great beginner a bike for somebody that only wants to ride a bike once😂
One of the best
Scott Davis… I see that your still rockin my old 12r eh? 😊
😂😂😂😂🎉😊
Nothing like a 150 mph rolling burnout to clean a tire up Scott.
Weapon 💪🚀 I've had my ZX12R 22yrs & still loving it.
I'm 29 I've had my 2000 zx12r for 10 years ill never get rid of it
@@bricehale6593 good stuff...if i climbed aboard a zx12r at 19yrs old i probably wouldn't be here 🤣. You've done well.
@@wayno23 im about to do it as an 18 year old.. wish me luck. Previous experience on 600 supersports..
@yhteys good luck mate 👍 be smart & build up speed over time & you'll be ok.
@@wayno23 If I enjoy it enough i might keep it for many years.. Heard these engines are bulletproof when taken care of
I have an A2 ZX12R with a full Ti Akrapovic exhaust and PCIII… & that is more than enough for me.. this is nuts! 😯
I bought mine new back in 2003! Still have it and still love it! Way to represent bud! ROK!!
I have a ZX12 with a fully built high compression motor on race gas, gears everything you can do and it makes 239rwhp and it's insane. I can't imagine this thing.
This is bananas
Crazy fast
Damm. Oh Yeea man. Whoo!
No traction. He cruised it into last 3 gears
Need race vs h2r☝🏻
Per your megasquirt thread.
What crank reluctor setup did you settle on?
I have a 2002, the reluctor should be 8 tooth none missing. Would you try convertering to 8-1?
I gave up on the ms3x when it would not read high rpm. This has a stock ecu and ms2 to run the 4 additional injectors.
@@KZScott
Gotcha, I bought a speeduino dropbear, which is full open source design and code.
Would you try the standard 8 tone ring then attempt an upgrade to the 24-1?
This speeduino dropbear is a beast of an ECU and there are people running them on other motorcycles at high rpms with no sync issues.
It supports 8 injectors, has on board datalogger and it's really easy to modify the code and add your own features.
I would try the 24-1 from the 04 05 12. If that's too much resolution, you can modify it to a 12-1
Any gearbox work???
Billet 1st and 2nd gears, drum mod, R&D motorsports back cut.
💯%😱
Wow
8 gears bike ?
how do you get 500hp outta that engine?.....doesnt seem real.
With good parts and my custom turbo system. It's not as much power as most prostreet drag bikes. Not really that difficult.
But how much did it cost
@@brandonwelty369 I didnt really keep track as I do my own work, and get deals when I can. as far as the motor goes, its a 1mm big bore with O-ringed cylinder running now discontinued Muzzy spec MTC pistons. Carrillo H beam rods, stock crank, valves, cams (retimed). hd valve springs, hand ported head (by me). R&D back cut trans with billet output gears, billet basket with single stage lock up.
410 kph???
411
are you kz scott on Kawasaki world? good shit man I can't even imagine 250 + mph.... my zx12r looks like a mini van compared to that!
Ya I'm "KZScott"
Speedo only read 217mph. Where did 255mph come from??
From the official timing lights at the race track... feel free to check out Loring Timing Association. I have a record at 263 that was done after this video. The speedo reads transmission shaft speed not wheel speed on a zx12r. It has no idea that there's drastically taller gearing on the final drive.
Answered my question too 👍🏻 It was obvious the bike had huge power by the way it broke traction so easily at speed !
Buss all the way zx12 hàhahahqq
Title reads 255.5mph....So you just went 412kph? OK....

The speedo is not calibrated for the higher gearing or taller tire.
凶暴ですね。
Laughs in Turbo Busa
Show me your best run on your turbo busa.
Turbo Busa is a snack for one of these
@@StReEtReApEr12R you wish
@@petrolhead.corner show us your best run LOL
No where near 500hp and that wasn't 255mph...
How much do you want to bet? I have the time slips from Loring and dyno charts from RCC.
@@KZScott them busa boys are salty they needa cope haha
@@KZScott just curious why is your spedometer reading 220mph?
@@myass5964 the zx12r speedometer reads trans shaft speed not wheel speed. It has no idea I changed the final drive ratio (sprockets) or used a taller rear tire. The bike had 19 38 vs the factory 18 46 and a 200 55 vs a 200 50. If anyone is skeptical of the speeds this bike has done, all they need to do is look up the run logs on the Loring Timing Association website.
Sir is it ran in a standing one mile to hit 255mph?& whats your bike dry weight?@@KZScott
Kz… you still working out of Toronto?
Was never in Toronto, but I've been back in NB since 2021.
@@KZScott oh really? I thought you moved to Toronto to take a job fabricating turbos?? Where are you living in N.B. ?
@stevelegere9848 I was about 2 hrs west of Toronto. I'm back in my home town about 3 min from my parents place. Building turbo kits and bikes full time here.
