Right! Anybody do anything like this today? I ask because this video is amazing but I wanna see an 4K HD version lol camera technology was too bad back then lol
Same brother … and I revisit regularly. GR’s the sickest street rider the world’s ever seen. Flashing by his mate (who was doing 280km/h [or 174mph] on a litre bike) at warp speed while on the ‘Busa’s back wheel is next level and watching him do it never gets old.
His mate’s doing 280km/h and Ghost Rider flashes past him at warp on the back wheel of the ‘Busa, making his mate appear to be stationary. Dope AF man … the sickest street rider ever! Edit : Next-level meta-human riding skills.
Oh, i can beat that. Saw it when it was relesed on VHS way before there was such a thing as You Tube. Glad it is here since i do not own a VHS player anymore :)
I love this guy\'s spirit. Long live Ghost Rider! Long live the individual. But there's no questioning his skill or bravery - even in the legal world, Furstenhoff holds the official world record for high speed wheelstands, hitting a blistering top speed of 215 mph (346 km/h) on the back wheel. Anyone who's taken a sportsbike on a racetrack knows how powerful a force air resistance can be as you approach 180 mph (300 km/h) - the idea of raising the front wheel at those speeds is frankly terrifying. The air itself would be like a brick wall - you'd be hanging onto the bars for dear life, let alone trying to deal with that force getting under the bike and trying to flip it over backwards.
Mike Hutchinson A little background for the uninitiated: Ghost Rider (widely believed, but never legally proven to be Swedish Wheelie Team member Patrik Furstenhoff, or possibly an amalgam of Patrik and his friends) is an ex-racer, stunt rider and generally rather handy chap behind the handlebars of a motorcycle.
Mr. Wises where is the actual footage of riding a Willie at 215 seriously if it's not on him it's bs and I for sure don't believe it he had the gift but was not that gifted r lucky at speeds that high period!?! BS simply is what it is
Lmfaooooo I thought he just couldn't give it full throttle and the bike kept wheeling so he was just balancing it but if a power wheelie is a trick to higher speed then alright
Holy SHIT! wheelies past buddy doing 297km like he's standing still! OMG I am still laughing hysterically at this video. I can't even imagine the feeling of that much power...
@@Willam_J if you'd like my unsolicited advice about going to a sport bike from a Harley, go naked bro. All day. MT-09, CB1100/650, XSR900.. It's how your neighbor is still riding after all this time; get a comfortable bike. Going from a Harley, everything might feel less than comfortable. Naked bikes have more torque generally, upright seating and are far better for long trips than a 'proper' sport bike like an R1. I think you'd have more fun with a naked regardless, torque over top speed all day. (My 919 can still go about 140. I don't ever touch close to there though.) Source; sold motorcycles in Texas and traveled across the country and back on my naked bike :]
@@Willam_J A new R1 will never be not enough power, unless you're the guy in the video. You can stand an R1 straight up at 140mph, without effort. My ex boss turned me on to them. You have to either have a death wish or compensate for small thang, if you need more..lol Don't take my word for it, test ride an R1. Be warned, first two gears are a doozie.
@Doug D ironic because you're wrong. Not every bike is a 1000cc race bike. Naked bikes for an example do not generally have as much power as super sports do. Some bikes fall even under 100hp since engine placements are different.

It's cause it was originally a non naked bike he just made it a naked bike cause of where the turbo sits plus the turbo has a intercooler system hooked up to it so the turbo doesn't blow the engine especially cause it's a big turbo
