I died laughing seeing the mattress striking the worst possible pose aerodynamically.
While jamming out to the music at 7:50 ish I realised this all feels like fever dream, a good one at that.

Tip: if you completely remove the wheels and not replace them, you're gonna be getting negative gas mileage as it won't even be moving while consuming gas.
At 6:34.........As a civil engineer, may I correct your statement.....you do not actually have 400 lbs of concrete. You may have 400 pounds of cement. Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine and coarse aggregrate, and water.

I was thinking the same thing once he put the concrete in the back and lowered it. If I had more money than respect for myself I'd buy one and work with a designer to build molded fenders for the rears and put it on air. Lil stanced Insight daily.

Get a CVT insight. Underinflate the tires and leave it in Low & Sport mode, and you'll get down to 20 or lower (floor it constantly and maybe break the transmission b4 you use up 1 tank of gas) ...

i one 100% love this car. its my second favorite honda after the first gen fit. I almost went for one if it wasnt for it being a coupe. i needed a bit more room, plus i didnt want to have to replace the battery on it. but honestly mpg's are unbeatable even by today's insights. would love one for road trips

Rotas on the Insight look pretty damn good. If I had one, I'd be tempted to modify the rear wheel cover in an attempt to give it a slightly more "normal car" look and treat it kinda like a more modern CRX.

My summer car has a broken EFI system, it runs rich all the time. Best MPG I've ever gotten is 16,5. And decimals count...
Have you checked the air filter or maf sensor

Intake and coolant temp sensors are checked good, I've changed every single other sensor. Plus everything fuel and ignition related...
I've given up after trying to fix it for three summers now, I have a Holley 4bbl carburetor waiting in a box.

Swap a rotary or ej in it and you have the bad mileage :)
If you want to distroy your gas mileage reduce the air pressure in the tire as lo as 15 psi

yea, weight makes more of an issue in lots of stop and go, but once you're up to speed it doesn't require as much to keep a car rolling, plus the Insight being a hybrid can recover some of that energy that was initially used to get you going. I was also surprised though about how much the aero made. For me to get that low of MPG I got fat stickier tires, short geared transmission and lead foot.
