  • This is what sound you get from a cheap no-name exhaust on your 2024 zx6r. We got a link / mid pipe from eBay for $55 and a universal muffler off amazon for $35. We decatted our factory header and we have no flash or tune on this motorcycle. I think this shows that you don't need an expensive full exhaust system to get a good sound out of your bike. Comment with any questions, exhaust links for the exact parts we got are posted below. Enjoy!

    Ordered that slip on from your other exhaust video, excited to try it out !

      I also have a question. Would I be able to run the slip on without the mid pipe? Or is that a no go?

    • @hd6run
      @hd6run 3 місяці тому

      Orrr should I just go with the short link pipe?

    • @bikesandbangs
      @bikesandbangs  3 місяці тому +1

      You'll need the mid pipe because the muffler isn't the right diameter to go on the header, or the expansion chamber. So the link pipes function as an adapter, and put your pipe at a practical angle

      And the short link pipe only works on the expansion chamber, it won't work on the header, you'll need the curly link pipe if you eliminate the expansion resonator chamber

    I know you sent your ECU to be flashed by Moore Mafia, how did the bike run before you sent it out? Was it giving you any kinds of problems?

      He has a tutorial video. The video is very helpful as he guides the viewer through every process on swapping the stock slip on with an aftermarket slip on. He also leaves links in the description showcasing what parts he used. I’d say his channel is amongst the very few that deserves to be subscribed. Don’t forget to like and share too, as it can help someone who might need it.

      @bikesandbangs Hey, I was able to install the slip on thanks to your video. I have the exact same setup. But idk if it's in my head, but it feels like I lost some low-end torque after installing. Any recommendations or thoughts on that?

      @@BrothaBanye something must've been sized half a mm off, or the paint/finish on the muffler is just kind of thick on the inlet. Maybe try a twisting method with that muffler to get it on. Or you could always cut two slits on the outlet of the link pipe so that can collapse in just a bit when you put the muffler on. That's lame, I've experienced that one time before, where something was just sized slightly wrong in the manufacturing, and I ended up taking a hacksaw and making two 1 inch cuts on the link pipe
