Man, good video. I’m telling you the gutless method has changed my transport game up. All I need now is ziplocks and backpack. Keep up the videos! Good luck this year.

I’ve seen videos on the gutless method but never really considered doing it myself. I typically take my deer to the butcher to have it processed professionally. I have processed them myself in the past (with help from a buddy) and my wife wasn’t impressed. And it’s not something I’m inclined to do myself anyway. So, for me, it’s not worth the extra effort in the field if I’m not going to go the whole nine yards. But more power to you! Thanks for the great comment, and compliment!

I was leaning toward this cart before I saw your video. But now I'm sure this will be the one I purchase! Thanks

Great video, very informational. Thanks for seeing your opinion. I’ve been looking to upgrade my dear card as well.

My husband uses his Hawk Crawler for hunting elk in the mountains. He loves it! After exhaustive research, my husband found out, that although wheeled vehicles are banned from hunting trails, game carts are allowed.

I bought the same Hawke cart on sale after deer season ended last year, haven’t had the opportunity to try it yet but the first thing I did was get rid of the junky tires that came with it and bought 4 flat free tires at Harbor Freight, about $12 per tire. I did deep research on this cart and time and time again it was noted in other UA-cam video reviews that the original tires have a difficult time holding air. Last thing I want to happen is dealing with flat tires. Good luck this season, shoot straight and stay safe. R, Eric

I saw some of those same comments regarding the wheels. However, my experience with small inflatable tires is that if you do not over-inflate them they perform and hold up well. I’m taking the position that if the tires don’t hold up under normal usage, shame on Hawk. I plan on releasing my one year review soon with my observations and opinions. Thanks for the comment! I hope you get plenty of use out of yours this season! Good luck!

I also drilled holes to lock the handle into place but I also put an eye bolt in the handles near the grip and one at the bottom. I use a tie strap to hold the deers head and the other to hold its hind legs in place. Without that mod even a normal size deer would not stay/fit in the cargo area. Fell out repeatedly. Spent way too much time repositioning the deer.

@@jasonhutchison993 Sounds like a good hack. As you can see in one of my other videos, I stretched the deers legs in the fore and aft handles and it stayed put without straps. Just kinda figured it out on the fly.

This is the best cart I’ve used except a few minor issues. The biggest one is the top bar that you hold onto from folding over and collapsing when dragging a deer. There are 2 remedies. The first is to drill a second hole and and a bolt or a pin. The second is to get the thick and wide zip ties and zip tie the bar into place. Problem with the zip ties is that you will have to cut em to fold the bar back over if you need it folded over for transport. They know these issues but for some reason, refuse to fix them.

The 'Long bracket' is called a walking beam, part of walking beam suspension.

Dad's trailer uses the same design. Tows beautifully, especially on nasty forestry roads with a heavy load of firewood where it just floats across while my mitsubishi pajero (shogun/montero) is climbing in and out of holes.

Please show how you would load a deer in the cart into a truck bed?

Ok. I’ve been thinking the same thing but I think I’ll have to make some mods to the handle to make sure it doesn’t fold over inadvertently. With each opportunity so far I’ve had help so it wasn’t necessary, but I’ll test it out. Thanks for reaching out!

It would be nice if they narrowed it up a bit so it would fit down a 30" corn row. Other than that it looks very good. Good review.

looks like you might have a bike mount clamp on it in the wood stacking clip, I'm looking for a cart i can attach to my bike seat post or long recoveries. were you able to mount this to one of your bikes?

Good observation! Yes, I recently installed a hitch so I can attach the cart to my bike. I’ll cover this in an upcoming video. Stay tuned.

Looking at it, my first concern is the material webbing it uses. Any issues?

No issues at all. It wasn’t heavily used but it hauled a few deer and helped with a few tasks around the house.

Looks like you could tote a truckload of gear and game in this. Also looks like you will need a truck to tote it to a hunting location...lol. Kind of big
