But that doesn't change my opinion.
Yes, I know Roger was to old in 1985 to play the role and bla bla, but AVTAK has some special things that touched me when I watch it...the whole castle scene is pure class, same for the song and "wine with Stacey" scene.

Tanya Roberts is my favourite Bond girl actress. Perhaps because she doesn't really look like a Bond girl: she's a stunning beauty and at the same time comes across as a very nice and down-to-earth person.
Roger was so universally loved that even here in his mid 50s we still enjoyed him as Bond when stage makeup and guyshadow had to be plastered on thick.
Despite being past his prime at this point, this Bond still knew how to charm the ladies as good as ever. It's kinda nice that this incarnation of Bond got to have one of the most stunning Bond Girls for his last movie. A lovely send off.

Carolina Zampar Yes ! I know most people hate her, but I like her for the following reasons : Everytime a new actress takes on the role of a Bond Girl, she always states that her character is "a different kind of girl", "very equal to Bond" or that "she can use a gun". Fine...but these are not "special" or "different" at all. In fact, almost every Bond girl has been a "strong", "fighting" leading lady. Stacey Sutton was actually a REAL different kind of girl : she wasn't a secret agent, an exotic beauty living on an island, the mistress of some villain or a dangerous femme fatale. For a change, she was just a normal person, an "everyday people" and this is nice, for reality and credibility sake. She was a San Francisco citizen, workin in geology field and living in her family estate. She became involved in an adventure she didn't ask for. So of course she wasn't as brave or competent as a CIA or MI-6 agent, but she did the best she could to help Bond, and faced events with braveness. Plus, she's beautiful and was, at the time, one of the sexier actress around.
I couldn´t have said any better, you described exactly how I feel/think about Stacey. She is not the typical Bond girl, she is just a normal girl who faced a Bond adventure, really down to earth, someone we can identify with. The scene inside the mine where she explains Zorin's scheme to Bond is one of the best scenes of the movie. Tanya Roberts was/is a gorgeous and talented woman and no matter who will be the next Bond girl she will always be my favorite one.
Roger was brilliant and not to old. For a man of his age he looked awesome. I am 59 and I wished I looked like he did. He should of done another one. To all the negative comments out there- who's had the better life and lived. Ha ha.

Totally agree, still charming and nice, but clearly too old for A view to Kill in 1985 not to mention in real life that the Bond girl's mother was younger than Moore! Timothy Dalton despite saying he was too young at this stage for Bond, he was 37 years old would have been brilliant in A View to a Kill and wouldn't have made the Bond girl Stacy stand out.
