Polaroid Tips & Tricks - the best way to take instax mini 9 pictures!!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 кві 2021
- Here are some polaroid tips and tricks for beginners and advanced instax polaroid users. these are the best ways to take pictures on the intsax mini 9 (but it's pretty applicable to the 8 and 11 as well)...
- don't shake the film as it's developing - doesn't really help it, and can potentially harm it
- don't squeeze the film image as it's developing
- there's always a flash, so the closer the subject, the brighter.
- you must wait for the blinking red light by the view piece before taking an image
- you can take out and exchange the film packs, but a few film images may be ruined
- if you change out the film the counter will go back to 10
- bulk ordering film only saves a few dollars
- hold far away from your face when you take selfies
- the mirror is warped so make sure your face is out of the mirror from your view if you are taking a selfie with friends
-with pics of big groups, make sure the subjects are as close as possible

aww omg 🥹🥹
you're not old at all!! 80/90 is old!♥️
63 is not old at all!!
I took notes 😎 Polaroid Notes
- red flash by lens means STOP AND WAIT
- Yellow means DAMAGED film
- Do NOT cover flash when looking
- House mode: Let’s the a lot ofof light in
- Cloud mode: little less light in
- Medium sun: medium amount of light
- Big sun: SMALLEST amount of light
- High Key: MOST amount of light
- S in number block means there is a plastic sheet
- If all exposure keys are blinking-> ur batteries r dead
- DO NOT PULL POLAROID PIC WAIT
- Don’t touch actual picture with fingers unless u want fingerprints
- Do not shake photo, messes with chemicals
- Keep in DARK area!!
- keep away from reflecting surfaces
- make SURE no fingers in lens (won’t show up in view finder)
- there is ALWAYS flash so THE FLASH PICS UP THE CLOSEST THING ( so nothing in between lens and object u want to shoot)
- get your camera as close as possible
- optimal cam range 6-8 feet ( excluding light)
- if taking a selfie make the takers face furthest in mirror
- fill in the frame!
- in portraits let medium amounts of light in
- DO NOT POINT AT SUN!
- if group: move closer, brighter setting

Thanks for this cause literally I've been searching for this polaride guide and all other people were " yeah pur batteries and click and all but none of them showed the really "how to take" pictures" like the environment influence and distance influence but u did and showed variety of pictures. Thanks to you that now I will be able to click beautiful pictures ❤️

I glad how you shared your experience with us and ur lil mistakes I love it thank you 💕
of course !
This is actually very helpful! Thank you for making this video!
i’m so glad!!
thank you for this! for the reflective surfaces, I recently learned that it's because light travels so fast that the flash will hit the surface, bounce back and hits the light sensor, which makes it think that there's a lot of light, so it uses a faster shutter speed. it's worth experimenting by trying to cover the light sensor.
oh thanks!!
Hello beautiful!! I threw away my manual when I got mine and this helped so much! I hop the best for you’re channel! Never drop your crown queen ✨😌🤚🏽

Thank you so much
Commenting after 1 year...just to remind you to not stop making videos...
thank you 🥹
Hey Mel, i got mine almost a year ago and the first roll of film was amazing! But with the second roll of film the first few pictures were amazing, the next shots however were bluish and then yesterday i took a sunset picture and it was totally black! Has this happened to you before? Is it a film issue? I tried everything they said online and my shutter and lighting setting dial seems to be fine 😭
hmm, yeah i’d assume that’s the film being bad - i haven’t ever had that issue before :(
Ty is really found out o
How to use this
great
I got out my camera and took a mirror pic with the last film and wondered why it was so dark, I just assumed that the film had expired since its been years since I've used it but lucky I decided to search up some tips just in case ahahah
glad to help :)
if this is too specific im sorry but i really want to take photos like the 1989 polaroid photos of taylor swift 😅 could you give any advice of how much light is let in/any way to recreate them/filters judging by the photos?
be in a room with the light on - not tons of sunshine but also not dark, main thing will be being against the white wall. I’d use the house setting. it won’t come out just like hers because hers was probably edited and taken by a different camera but that may be close n
u have the light keep go
U are so pretty btw😻😸
thank you!
wow you are awesome
now you motivated me to buy instax to take pix at the pyramids
thank you so much
yay, i’m so glad!
@@melodydawnmiller thanks to you
Keep doing youtube 🙂
Thank you
you’re welcome!!
Thank you for the video and especially for showing all the examples! Seems like it is not that easy to always get a good photo. I wonder if I still should buy it for a wedding.. the film is also very expensive and it would be only me so far who knows how to change it.
i love the results of having printed photos but it definitely depends on how much you’d enjoy having the film after! i think it makes for a fun memory!
@@melodydawnmiller Totally agree! And fun fact: I bought a second hand instax yesterday :D
that’s awesome!
can you give me tips on how to center subjects 😢 I can never get my subjects in the middle
thankyou so much for sharing so much knowledge about this camera but i have one question that can we take photo landscape??
yes!
@@melodydawnmiller Ohh thankyou so much for the advice!!
The back of my camera is broken how do I get it fixed
ty for this ! i’ve had a question that feels stupid to ask for so long but where do u look at to take the pictures ? should u look into the selfie mirror always or the lens ?
LENS!!
@@melodydawnmiller tysm for responding quick 😭 i feel dumb i’ve been doing them so wrong ty!!! ur so cute btw
thanksss
of course !
My pictures always end up dark and I’m not sure why… I always use the house setting when I’m taking pictures in dark settings (usually I do that) so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong…
hmm, try using hi-key. sometime though photos just are dark no matter what you try. it happens to me too
I think it's kind of funny how she called the 8 the older version but I have the 7s 💀
Hello, this is the first time I see you and I loved you💕💕
Btw I have a question if I took a picture but I didn’t like it and I don’t want it to be printed, what should I do?
if you’ve taken a picture it will automatically print, no way to stop it, sorry!
@@melodydawnmiller that’s sad
But thank you anyway🫶🏻💗
thank youuuu
of course
I pressed tge circle that takes tge photo but theres nothing in the pic its just white please notice me
How do I fix the back of my camera
thanks that’s really helpful 🥹💋
Remember me when you have a million followers
My camera doesn’t change the lens when I change the modes ? I’d my camera broken or something you mentioned about it in 4:04
hmmm, yeah it definitely seems that it’d be broken. there also are newer models where you don’t manually change the lens. but if it’s not changing the lens, make sure it’s turned on and the lens it’s popped out
Hi, I'm interested in purchasing either the Instax Mini 11 or 12. I'm not a professional photographer; I just want the camera to capture moments. However, I'm unsure about which one to buy. I'd like to know which of these cameras takes better pictures and if there's a significant difference in picture quality ?
great question! i actually don’t have the mini 12 or know about new features of the mini 12 so i am not the person to ask for this. I hope you can find out!
Thank you but could you explaine about the red light are we supposed to click when the red light is blinking? Or when its off??
when the red light is off!
What if you have not used it and a while and I just got index for it and turned it on and it’s not taking pics or the light is not coming on😢
then it’s probably the batteries! try changing them out
omgg you remind me of that girl in the lorax,, I forgot her name whoops 😶 haha thank you for the tips tho!!
haha that’s awesome
Can u please link your camera... Really loved the colour
i just got mine at walmart!
thanks
of course !
Hi I hope you can help me. The camera I bought is used for my kid. It is a fuji instax 7. It won't give pictures. The film is white.. The previous owner said it should be working good.
hmm i wouldn’t know about the instax 7. that’s a pretty old model. just make sure the film is good
Thx
It’s going to be very good to put Polaroids on your wall
yes!
Hi! What effect is best for sunset photos?❤
i would say the cloud setting, but it’s hard to capture sunsets sometimes
Oh my god don't even try to take a sunset photo! I took two yesterday and it was totally black even though i used the cloud setting once and the indoor setting (indoor setting is supposed to let in more light, still it was totally black)
aw bummer :(( - also make sure your finger isn’t covering it because the look piece isn’t where the photo is taken
TYSM
of course !
Which effect best for indoors
one of the the setting with a cloud on it!
