Was school like this in the 80's...? YES*. Yes it was. I was 10 years old in 1984 and remember it like yesterday. The kids, the culture...the HAIR. All of it. And funny enough..we used to listen to this very album (on cassette) during free time in music class. *Except for the bikini teachers. Those weren't a thing. But gym shorts were so tiny back then they may as well have been bikini bottoms.
If you love guitarists - just a couple of the other greats (other than Eddie Van Halen) try Yngwie Malmsteen (Swedish guitarist) "Rising Force" was a good song - or try Stevie Vai - he played with David Lee Roth after the split from VH - "Bad Horsie"
You gotta check out Prince - Bambi (album version) ua-cam.com/video/mY1OnKfDJPE/v-deo.html If you want guitar galore, there it is. All instruments and vocals by His Royal Badness all alone.
Van Halen would have been nothing without Eddy Van Halen and his ability on his 'Strat'... Feel like jumping out of your lane to hear my favorite guitarist of the 70's? Try Dire Straits with Mark Knopfler finger-picking his Fender Stratocaster ('Strat') on 'Wild West End'. Between the guitar stylings of Mark and his brother and the imagery and memories of hangin' with my 'wild best friend' that the lyrics of this song evokes... You nay like it. This old fart sure does (62). ua-cam.com/video/T4Ad_J_2l0w/v-deo.html
I wish I was a kid in those classes lol
Van Halen were quite the showmen. Btw great musicians as well.
I'm here for it. Yes, school was like this in the 80's. I graduated in 1986. (Yep! I'm old!)

Van Halen was my first rock concert in '84. SUCH a crush on the lead David Lee Roth ! Thanks for the rock 'n roll !!
King Edward been gone about a year now… so missed… Rest in Paradise Eddie!
As someone who started Kindergarten in 1980, I can say, that school was NOT like this in the 80s. LOL. Man, how I wish it had been though.
You should sincerely watch David Lee Roth’s California girls and just a gigalo that he did after he was replaced in Van Halen with Sammy Hagar .

Are you really trying to compare these guys to the greatest and most influential guitarist ever? Pay some respect brah!

What school is this? I wanna go. Hahaha! 😄 That comment killed me bro! Me too, b.t.w!

DAVID Lee Roth 🤘
Check out Jeff Healey. The blind blues guitarist. His guitar skills are amazing. See the Light, live or As the years pass me by live.
Pretty sure my bus patrons and myself were a direct result of Mr. Whites heart attack!!!
