From a fellow Renegade TH owner, thanks for sharing. It's winter, I'm in Michigan, but can kick back with a toddy & watch your video, and dream.
I'm now a subscriber so keep 'em coming!
Thank you for watching and coming back. We are in n the process of editing 2 videos from our Terlingua/Big Bend trip. Hopefully we can get those out real soon.
This is the must beautiful dream car ever I have. I love it, and I recommend it for anyone after retired.
When I arrived at P.I.N.S. on Thursday. I was airing down and two people stopped and told me it was not necessary to air down, "The beach is easy to access." I am so grateful I aired down. The trail is relatively easy up to the eight mile marker. After that, a four wheel drive, aired down tires, a shovel and recovery boards are an absolute necessity. Nice video.
The only thing I would change about the video is no glass on the beach, guys. You may follow the rules and dispose of glass properly, but it does not mean drunk ass Cletus and Velveeta will...
@@lemaitrethemonk we did switch to cans the second and third days.
People really underestimate how much airing down really helps. When Arctica got stuck it was because we hadn’t aired back down after going to town the 2nd day.
The locals would say that. I have seen honda civics up to mile marker 16. I have a 4x4 and i just smh.
@@rl8571as a local I have driven my 2WD f-150 20-30 miles down before it was standard v6 . I have been told others have gone further and no I didn’t air down but it helps as the days get hotter the sand gets softer .
Liked the video. Beautiful, love the freedom. Definitely not East Coast: no vehicles on the beach; no camping or fires on the beach and no glass bottles on the beach. Renegade owner.
Thank you. We have quite a few beaches that can’t be driven on as well. Technically we weren’t supposed to have glass on the beach, realized it after the trip, but we are always extremely careful and are big on packing out more than we pack in.
What an awesome video! I'm a Fellow Renegade owner myself, and I hope to visit Padre Island too. Thank you for such great footage!!
Thank you for watching!
I love padre Island my dad lives few miles from there..we go preaty frequently..love your camping setup always a great time outdoors
It was gorgeous, thinking of planning another trip next year -Andy
After Hurricane Hanna the beach is about 20 30 yards wider. If you look at your drone footage the first row of dunes is gone and the second row was cut in half. Totally changed the environment, you should come again. Also there is a beach clean up every year. This year it is February 27th, all volunteer.
That is crazy. We can’t wait to go back there again. It felt really narrow in some spots, so I could only imagine.
Great to see 2 Jeeps in its natural environment. Obviously everyone had a great time
We did, thank you.
What an adventure..your so awesome
Thank you for watching!
Very cool vid. Thanks for the insights into overlanding in a Renegade
victorsmalls thank you
These little trucks seem so cool and practical
It’s really easy to underestimate smaller rigs. These 2 rigs have consistently surpassed our expectations.
Very cool video! Now I need to do this with my wife!
Hello from Funky town!! I love this video and both Jeeps in this video that's a great set up you guys have going on, on the beach
Hello, and thank you
Cool Video, so nice Landscape, beautifull Beach👍🏻
Best wishes of another Renegade Driver from Heidelberg (Germany)
Stephan 👋🏻
Thank you!!
Love the video heading over there next month on my vacation with my family not going to lie I’m nervous but excited at the same time just preparing myself with everything I need and leaving what I don’t need
Don’t be nervous, you’re going to have a great time. If you plan on heading a ways down the beach, top off your fuel in town before heading out there. Also, keep track of the tides. Other than that, have fun.
fantastic video!! I just got a Renegade 4x4 Sport & your video inspired me alot!!
Congratulations, Jeep Renegades are extremely fun little off-roaders. I’m happy we were able to inspire you, I hope you and your Rene have many great adventures! -Andy
Congratulations on the Renegade!
Great job guys and gals, Renegades looked great
Awesome content ! Thanks for sharing guys !
Thank you for watching! 🙂
Awesome man! Next let's see one in the mountains!
We are editing video right now from CO and UT. Should be coming out soon
Really nice video.. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thank you for watching.
Probably the best vacations you can do and really enjoy. Great video
Personally this has been my favorite trip this far. I honestly can’t wait until we can go back. -Andy
I like the renegade channel. Just started thinking about getting one and I’m glad to see someone is pushing it to the limits. Would like to see as much of the Texas National and state parks as possible.
Thank you. If you would like to see what they can do off road we have a video on our other channel, ua-cam.com/video/-p1dRWF1Jvs/v-deo.html
Clean rigs. I like them!
Thank you
Alright! Ft. Worth people....... good to find you. Love going to PINS. I go every other year. Can't wait to check out more of your videos. Hit me up in March or April. I'll be kayaking the Brazos as soon as it warms up a little.
That’s awesome! Will do.
Great job guys! I'm hoping to take my Rene down to Big Bend National Park once this craziness is all over.
Elsewhere Overland thanks, that is definitely on our list as well
Looking forward to being able to do this one day.
It’s a lot of fun and relaxing
Wow awesome video!! Love the Renegade, I want to add one to our fleet!
Thank you! The Renegades are great little Jeep’s. They aren’t as capable as their bigger siblings, but hold their own when you need them to. The thing they have going for them is they are very comfortable on road, but can still get you where you want to go off road.
Actually the best airdown tool is actually airdown tools....lol You can set them to what you want and than attach them to all four tires and than adjust as needed. Mine are pre-set to 20 psi
Awesome video guys! Look forward to more
Thank you. 🙂
Thanks for a excellent video and beautiful landscape. Hugs from Brasil.
Thank you!!! 😁
Looks like y’all had a lot of fun, Ellie included! Love it!
Abby Cooper it was a blast. Really looking forward to our upcoming trips.
Awesome video! And howdy from a fellow DFW Renegade owner!
Howdy, thanks for checking out the video.
I like this videos they are inspiring kudos guys!
Thank you! -Andy
Your supposed to put vehicles on the outside of camp. Use them as a shield from traffic. Lots of people get run over out there. Easy if someone is traveling at night or early morning.
They were obviously down on Big shell, there's not much, if any, traffic out there. Requires a capable 4wd to get there.
At 2:13 the guy talking lol me and him have the same palm tree tattoo in the exact same spot 😭😂
Julie, my wife, has that same tattoo also. -Andy
Great video...just purchased a 2019 Renegade Latitude but not 4x2....which is okay just no off roading much.....lol. I do tow a small boat with it....and does good so far!
That’s awesome, congrats on the purchase.
@@RenegadeExpedition Thanks...I am pretty excited despite not getting the 4x4..just could not afford it..and the used ones i did see had too many miles on it for my taste. THough I wont be able to do any serious overlanding, I will do some camping...my overlanding I will do will be with my small 13' gheenoe boat!
@@slyfox720 don’t let not getting a 4x4 get you down. There are plenty of 2wd vehicles that have traveled the world. Most trips we take are 90% improved surfaces. Just make sure to stay within your driving ability on the other 10%.
@@RenegadeExpedition You are right...definitely wont let it let me down...lol, I am excited for this little Jeep!
Excellent video! Whoever edited this is awesome! 🙌🏼
Julie Rivera thank you!
That video was awesome!!! I’m just about done building my off road trailer and thinking bout hitting up PINS.. I’d like to see a video on you’re trailer and what u carry in it.. thanks
Alan did a walk around of the trailer in episode 3. I don’t think he showed what we were carrying on that trip, but it changes almost every time we take it out depending on the location. In episode 3 we were only out there a couple of days so the trailer only had a few items in it.
very nice keep going we watch you from Saudi Arabia
Thank you.
So want to get into this. Looks like fun
It easier to get started than you might think.
Epic.... I have been battling the decision to give up my Volvo for a 4x4 (but something stylish) and you guys have just made my decision a lot easier... Awesome Vid.... (FYI all the way from South Africa...)
Thank you for the kind words. The Jeep Renegades are a lot of fun, I’m happy you’re considering one.
Thanks for picking up trash! Looks like a great time.
You’re welcome. We make it a point to do that everywhere we camp.
Wow! Fantastic video!
Thank you!
This was really cool! Thanks for sharing!
This was a really fun trip. Thank you for watching!
Greetings from Port Arthur! Just bought a 2016 Trailhawk and am looking forward to making memories at Crystal Beach! Really dig y'all's channel! New Sub!!
Greetings from DFW, congratulations on the purchase! Thank you for the sub. -Andy
@@RenegadeExpedition To New Adventures!😎
Maaaan we wish we could go out with you guys! We've been locked in our house since March!! Apparently next week we'll be able to make a little trip, so fingers crossed!
Keep making these please! Great stuf!
Wakanda Renegade that would be awesome to get to hang out with you guys. This channel is going to be dedicated to vehicle outfitting and trips. We already have our 2nd video shot and episodes 3-5 will be solo trips fine tuning each of the rigs for our big trip at the end of the year. Stay tuned as we have a lot planned for this channel. Also, feel free to check out our website to see the build sheets for Rex 1 and Rex 2, www.renegadeexpedition.com
awesome video
Thank you Robert
I so want to do this!
Padre Island was a blast. If you get the opportunity, go. 🙂
Great setup nice work
Thanks
We are planning our trip this week and stay down for 9 days. Hope the weather is good to us lol.
@@markdeleon1875 it’s a good time of year. Safe travels!
Just bought myself a trailhawk renegade and I’m loving it.
Do you have any recommendations for roof racks or modifications/accessories
We both. built our own roof racks. If you’re looking for a platform rack, check out rhino rack. As for modifications, you can see our build sheets on RenegadeExpedition.com
Absolutely love it👌
Thank you!
Nice Renegades!
Thank you!
Excelente video! Ojalá puedan mostrarnos mas🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼✅✅✅✅✅
Angelica Fernandez ¡Gracias!
I want some of the French toast. Yum Yum
We loved this as its super helpful because we are planning a camping trip there in the next month. Did y’all have any issues with high tide at night that far down?
I can’t quite remember, but I think we stopped around mile 30. We were on a wider part of the beach so we didn’t have a problem with high tide.
very cool video... PINS is my favorite place to go to!
We had a blast at PINS. It’s very peaceful out there.
Drone shots are nice and really add perspective. Who's the pilot? That cooking apparatus...looks like a disc from a plow...looks really cool. Is there a name/location link for that item? Also, I see it's quite windy and I've read where rooftop type tent enclosures can be problematic. What has been your experience?
I did find the website for CB Adventures....and subsequently...the cook setup. What a great store for spending all you money! haha
I JUST BOUGHT MY 2023 JEEP RENAGADE 4x4🥰

Hello from UK 🇬🇧. I loved the cooking plate, stove ... whats it called and where can I get one!! I've had my renegade trailhawk now 4 weeks , absolutely love it .
Great video .. , I subscribed..have a good Christmas 🎄
Thank you. We love the Renegade, they make for an extremely comfortable adventuring vehicle.
It’s called a skottle and it’s made by Tembo Tusk.

Ok , thanks ever so much .. I'm hoping to start personalising my jeep .. love the idea of a rooftop tent . Thanks again , let's hope 2021 is better for us all .
sweet job.
Thank you 🙂
With all that gear and you use a rock or stick to air down? Proper air down tools can be bought for less than $20.
Thank you for the advice. We are actually using Boulder and ARB air down tools now.
I've been keeping an eye on the Renegade since they came out, always like the look but in the early days seemed under powered for it's weight (in my opinion). I took a 2021 4x4 Jeepster for a test drive a few weeks ago but mostly interested in the Upland trim. Holding out for the 2022 model to see if any additional safety features becomes standard. Anyways, I enjoyed your video very much and look forward to having the same camping experience in the near future!
I would look for a Renegade with the 1.3T. There is a noticeable difference in torque and they have about the same horsepower. If you plan to take it off road or carry extra weight, you will like having the extra torque.
I just bought the 2022 renegade Trail hawk I love it
It has the 1.3 Turbo in it
If you had to describe corpus christi in a couple of words how would you? General question for anyone. Might have work opportunities out there. Awesome video!!
Thank you! Beautiful to visit, don’t think I could live there.
Can you share what camera did you use to record this? And drone?
This video was done with a Canon Rebel SL3, GoPro Hero 8 Black, and Dji Mavic Air -Andy
What’s the name of the orange tent ⛺️? 🙏 Thanks
Gazelle T4. -Andy
What time of the year did ya'll go. Looking at going in late July. How long did it take ya'll from Ft Worth. Live about an hour north of Ft Worth
We’ve been there twice, both in June. Takes about 7-8hrs (to get to the beach) depending on how many stops you make. Expect an additional 1-4hrs depending on how far down you go and and soft the sand is at that time. -Andy
@@RenegadeExpedition thanks.
@@toddstevens6305 you’re welcome, hope you have a great trip! -Andy
where do you guys chuck your spare tyre? Just curious if you're using same size spare tyre.
We have a 245/65r17 spare in the trunk where the spare goes. It barely fits, but it does fit. -Andy
@@RenegadeExpedition awesome I have a plan on getting 225/65r17 means that it would fit thanks for the reply I really enjoy your page as a new Renegade owner. :)
@@jordannacu8784 that’s a Great size tire for these. Good luck with the build.
please what is the wheel on the white jeep??? I'm from Brazil ✌🏼🇧🇷

Fellow DFW peeps!
Yes sir!
Thanks guys, Great job! You probably told us somewhere... but what time of year was that July or August? Good drone footage and everything else! And good editing job.
Thank you, this video was shot mid June.
Also, if you have the room. Bring a broom and a dust pan, for the sand in your tent. You can thank me later...
Thanks, that’s great advice a lot of people don’t think about. We just got back from our Big Bend trip. Trust me when I say, I’m happy we had our mini broom, dustpan, and 12v vacuum.
Baby powder is also nice for keeping sand from sticking to you.
Is there a link that shows us the mods you made on your Rene's? Starting my build.
Our build sheets are on our website. RenegadeExpedition.com
Good luck with your build! -Andy
@@RenegadeExpedition Thanks!
My husband and I are going this weekend with our fj cruiser. We love padre island national seashore !! Do y’all have 4 wheel drive?
Nice, hope you guys have a great time. The renegades have a very intelligent AWD system.
Where did you get that round pan your cooking on? You call it a spotal? I found it... it’s a skottle camp stove

I just bought a 2022 Jeep Renegade Trail hawk What kind of lift should I put on it and what size tires with rims
Congratulations! To be honest I would keep it simple. I would do Eibach Pro lift springs and 235/70/16 or 235/65/17 tires. Depends on what size wheels you choose. I would avoid the spacer lifts. -Andy
Renegade 👍🤘👌
Thanks
How much load and towing weight can a Renegade handle?
Payload varies by trim and options.
Usual Payload 1,054-1,376lbs
Towing 2,000lbs
Exelente video clip.
El sartén está súper , where did you get it ??
Greetings from North Texas/
Thank you, we bought it from CB Adventure Supply.

I love love the white Renegade. I just bought one and want to put the exact tires and rims on mine. Can you tell me the size and brand? Also, is there a lift or leveling kit on it? Thanks so much!!
Thank you. The wheels are Ultra Nemesis 219BZ (17x8 +35mm). The Tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3W (245/65r17). It took quite a bit of work to get them to fit. Arctica has a 2” Avid Lift kit with Eibach Pro springs (about 3” of lift). The bigger tires also requires wheel spacers, went with 1.5” but we are considering going down to 1.25”. It also took a considerable amount of pinch seam work.
If you would like to learn more about Arctica, feel free to check out our website www.renegadeexpedition.com. We also have a walk around video coming out this Friday.
@@RenegadeExpedition Thank you so much for the info!!

there's like no wind!
It was pretty calm on this trip. -Andy
What was the location there where you set up camp called
The national park is Padre Island National Seashore. We were at about mile marker 30.
You guys made those renegades look good! Lol what upgrades did you put on the tan renegade other than the obvious? I'm wondering how it's towing all that weight (trailer + bigger wheels)!
Thank you. We have full walk arounds of both renegades.

10:26 make sure you have a hot pan 😆
We were fighting the wind on this trip. We kept having to find creative ways to block the wind and keep the skittle hot.
Did you lift your Renegade or are those bigger tires?
Both have spacer/spring lifts with bigger tires.
