The Rev wrote this song from a dream he had and he arranged and wrote all of the music himself. He also has one of the best backing vocals in this song.
His vocals are not back but actually co-lead
dude was a genius
All correct except he wrote it in a single night while absolutely drunk off his ass.
@@VladiIliev You're right it says it in the song and album credits.
@SigTheSauceMan not just drunk...
At this point you should just do the whole lbc series. That'd be like a journey and we'll have fun watching it.
omg, YES
i second thissss
YES PLEASE!
Yes
Yes!
I love Live versions, but this is one song that the official video is worth seeing. The visuals drive it home.
Should definitely watch the music video before seeing the live version. You understand the story way better
Its better that people see the live version before the music video so they know what they're getting into, cause yall have scared off loads of people from reacting to a7x by recommending this song
I think she would’ve reacted to the music better if she didn’t have the lyrics up in this version. She was so distracted by trying to figure out the story lol
@@chlaco2005 Valid point!
I personally put the lyrics over my copy of the official video so you can keep up with the story; if any one wants it reply here.
"Cause I really always knew that my little crime would be cold, that's why I got a heater for your thighs." That lyric has lived rent free in my head for over a decade lol. It's so messed up.
Man, I used to blare this song in my little Toyota Corolla. That part IS so catchy. I also used to like PaPa Roach- I almost told you that I loved you.
@@michellesnightmare that's also a banger.
What does it mean exactly? I have a rough idea but I doubt it’s right
@@YoungDyl99its about 👉👌
@@YoungDyl99 keeping a dead bodies thighs warm. I'll let you sort out the rest.
This song was supposed to be a joke song they made for halloween, but turns out to be one of the a7x's masterpiece, they had so much fun recording this song.
Also, the music video for this song slap, you must watch it!
Well, actually, the animated version was recommended to me by UA-cam 😂😂😂😂
And they almost weren't gonna do it but the Rev really pushed to get it done
My favorite part about this song is that it was the real first step of Avenged Sevenfold trying something almost... Prog
One of the best song of A7X
Syn's little gesture during the heater for the thighs line always makes me chuckle
this video shows just how incredibly amazing of a musician the rev was, he sung a difficult vocal line WHILE playing the drums. And i didnt even hear a single mistake
Syn's Guitar Lead at 8:28 with that Vocal Climb from Matt and Jimmy always gives me chills to this day. Such incredibly wicked art in performance. 🤘
bass players do that sort of thing all the time......but we never get recognition......just saying.

As a fan from A7X, your reactions are EVERYTHING hahahahahahah Srsly! Please, make some more videos about them. You are so sweet! xoxo from Brazil ♥

Eu amo as reações dela kkkkkk
KKKK
The best masterpiece ever made, this is a love story, with necrophilia, killing, heart ripping, the best melody ever made, and on top off that we get Shadows and Rev singing together. Rev was such a good song writer, this song as such a deep meaning, it’s funny like everyone when listens to it for the first time gets shocked, and when you listen to it carefully you will see the true meaning of the song.
Modern day Mozart!
It's so nice to see someone who can accept the song for what it is, go on a ride, and enjoy the performance, and not get all outraged and pearl-clutchy, like a certain other creator I've seen.
Great video! Kudos!
Is there necrophilia in this song?! I think there's necrophilia in this song! The unmitigated gall! How dare they! I can't believe this! Unbelievable!!! 😤😤😤
Where are my pearls? I must clutch them!
"And the frickin guy with the guitar that does the hand gesture" 😆😂💀 That's Gates alright. Lmfao. 💀
It sounds very theatrical and playful. A very fun song 😊
This song was written by their old drummer, The Rev (passed away December 2009) because the band asked him to make something absolutely nuts for the album they were working on. In turn, he came up with a song where a guy kills his girlfriend for denying his marriage proposal because he is obsessed with her, then she comes back from the dead to kill him. In hell he begs for forgiveness and she gives it to him and then they live happily ever after as a married zombie couple. The song itself, although is purely meant to tell a wicked story, is basically a love song, a really dark love song..
I think that "A Little Piece Of Heaven" is like "Bohemian Rhapsody" It’s unique masterpiece of art and it takes time to be totally appreciated or understood for some people.
This song was all Rev. He wrote the whole thing, drumming is amazing as always, and then does the insane backing vocals playing the woman's part. And this crazy multi part song was all executed flawlessly . . . live. Amazing performance.
This song and this live performance is just a masterpiece!
I loved how in the live version at 7:16 he changes the lyrics from “I know it’s not your time” to “yes I know it’s time to die “ showing that he knows she’s gotta kill him ! Love it !!!!
I just realized that after reading your comments
i was pretty sure he says "yes i know it's not your time", but okay i guess...
@@ShinyaKougamithat's definitely what I heard too idk what they were hearing
Clean ur ears buddy
As a fan since 06
Missing the Rev's voice and drumming one of the best heavy metal drummers of the mid to late 2000s funky jazz and ska influenced drumming
You progressively learning and getting more into this band throughout your videos gives me life. Fyi this is forever one of my favorite bands haha
I know you’re only doing 3 from this concert but you should also do BAT COUNTRY from this concert! You would absolutely LOVE IT!
Beast and the harlot would be better
Bat country!!!! 🔥
I like how you dive into this an innocent girl, and then gave the proper reaction to the theme of the song 😂
Yes the theme of this "love song" is wicked and twisted, but it's so fun as a song, and this is a long time anticipation since you reacted to this concert for the first time, this closing song for this concert has never been played with this amount of energy and fun like this one concert, clearly why many people agreed that this is to this day, their best performance ever, and a tip for our beloved drummer, The Rev ❤
I think youre my fav reactor lol :)) the live version is definitely sooooo much fun and amazing, but the video and official audio of this is probably my favorite song of all time 😂
I think im totally in love with you, keep up the reactions! love them
A little piece of masterpiece
@rayactions your face of realisation to what Syn was doing at 10:20 absolutely killed me especially after he did it every time they sang that line 😂😂🤣🤣
When I listen Avenged Sevenfold. I feel like I traveling in their world that they created. Every albums of this band, It's like they create a new world. Their music tried to bring me into the world they created and their voice try to explain about that world. I really love this band so much.
Check out the death bat club. You can be a part of their world.
Avenged Sevenfold did a breakdown video on this song that went over a lot of the writing and production process for the song too. It is on their UA-cam channel and well worth the time to watch it for anyone interested.
The rev actually wrote/composed this entire song. And directed most parts and indicated how he wanted it to be. Have a look at the making of this when you get time @Rayactions
Seeing someone learn what this song is about is like watching someone look into who the band "Mayhem" are. It's one of those experiences we all have.
I love the faces and commentary Ray does and also when she starts processing the visual info she just received lol
Watch the animated version, to really get all the clues and disturbing facts of this song. Love this song in the car, so i can scream along :)
I’ve heard this described as one of the greatest love stories of modern time. A7X has a video where they breakdown this song and how it came about to be. Its a cool story. The Rev wrote a good amount of it.
The couple you see in the crowd towards the end having such a genuine romantic moment to such a horrific song always feels so wholesome aha
Gotta do Gunslinger from them. That song was released when I was overseas and it helped so much. It’s a good one! Love your channel.
LMFAO YOUR REACTIONS ARE SO FUNNY 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣 GREAT VIDEO!!
Masterpiece!
Fly high, Rev❤
This song is music pure musical theater! Love it! Their playful performance is manically fantastic! And on a side note, I've gone down a Rayactions rabbit hole and you've earned a fan! 🤣
Your face at 3:37 perfectly sums up anyone's reaction their first time with this song 😆
Died laughing at your reaction the first time you heard the creepy stuff.. The song is so dark, but so great! Awesome vid!
Now that's the reaction I love to see since I couldn't see mine when I heard it for first time ❤🤣🤣🤣 you're subbed now❤
8:36 you can see on your face what we all feel when we see this live video how heart broken we all are the rev is gone we know your heartbreak 💔 the same we are
Forever
I didn't even realize as a teen listening to this stuff, the uniqueness and crazy genre-bending energy is what had me hooked on em. I just figured I was a huge fan of metal since i grew up on stuff like Metallica, but a7x always had a way of hitting different for me
story is a lot easier to pick up with the video but you got most of it. at the end they got married in the afterlife and went on a rampage in the living world, killing everyone for their "wedding". very wholesome stuff 😄
I don't know why, I always like seeing you make videos wearing glasses, very beautiful especially when listening to a7x ❤
This reaction is golden🤣🤣 I love it
Do another reaction from this concert, it's really good to see
You're right
This song was written by the late REV. This is one of The REV's best works Masterpiece. And every time I hear REV's voice, I always get goosebumps and of course really miss REV . He is a genius and great drummer in creating A7X songs. I love a7x at heart. Must Look Into Their Song Seized the Day Powerful Song.. Thanks for responding My Fans A7X.

Oh yes finally another Avenged Sevenfold reaction video from this beautiful girl❤❤
I was showed this in like 2008 when I was 14, and it was the wildest thing I had ever seen. Now it's legitimately one of my favorite songs hahaha
You should definitely react to the official video. You'll get more of an insight into what the song is absolutely about and the creative that went into this music video is absolutely one of a kind 🖤🤘
Was just about to say the same…if not a react, definitely go an watch the official video
Was also going to say the same. I like watching her reacts to A7X, but I feel like she wasn't fully understanding this one.
Aguardo ansiosamente 🇧🇷❤️

I saw them on this Tour. Still one of the top shows I’ve ever seen my 18 year old self had great taste
Love ur reactions❤
2:29 this is the reaction i was expecting
This song is a masterpiece and one of my fav songs from a7x & the music video is so good.
I would like to see Hail to the king - live rock am ring 2018. I was there and it was amazing & the flames where so big :D
& ofc Parkway Drive live at wacken
It’s nice to see you dressed up as Syn’s guitar for the occasion!
Jokes jokes hahah. Great vid as always
I knew a7x 17 years ago, and somehow i miss this band and their song and the rev nowadays mucher than i first knew and play their song. The rev is just so genius people you can ever imagine with his master piece!!
The Rev wrote pretty much the whole thing. Along with a lot of other songs on self titled and nightmare.
Thats whyy. He is really genius, miss him so much
Hey, really love your reactions! I feel like you have a lot of good input on these songs.
If you want, take a look into Architects. Although I'm not the biggest fan of their newest album they are my favorite band by a long shot. Very unique style and excellent writing.
Funnily enough I'd consider Sevenfold and Architects two of the most important bands I ever came across. Architects circa 2009 with Hollow Crown was the only obsession I ever had that rivalled my obsession with Sevenfold in 2006 with City of Evil.
Great taste!
Love your reactions and ability/willingness to roll with the darker lyrics. That’s what makes it fun! Many reactions get turned off and can’t enjoy the humor of it. But seriously, how do you know the Rev and not know this song? The two go hand in hand!
They are still legend ❤❤i start listening their song from 2002
I had a feeling since you delved only a bit into A7X's catalogue that this song will eventually come up and first time reactions to this song is always golden haha.
The Rev is a genius song writer and i wouldn't personally take this song's lyrics as black and white cause yes the themes behind it are well dark, depraved etc, but Jimmy (at least to me) is a master at writing metaphors and deeper meaning and at least from my take away from this song is that, Love is untouchable, when two hearts connect you can fuck things up, and have things go so dark, but in the end of the day, if the effort is there, and you're truly intertwined, it will conquer all!
Or i'm just delusional haha, regardless love the reaction Rachel!
Like the others have said, you'll understand the song way better when you watch the music video. It helps you understand a lot of the crazy lyrics. Definitely check it out
God, seeing you react to one of the more traumatizing songs I heard in my youth was endlessly funny for me. At "thats...big bad" I was cackling and out of breath. Thanks for helping me process some old trauma lol
This is what we call a perfect composition. ❤
Watch the music video on your own time. It was is impossible to get the story without it because it is complex.. 👀 It is also a pretty cool production ;) However this concert is so cool and I always prefer that singers/vocal coaches reacts to onetskes/live music if they are reacting primarily to vocal since there is no production aids on those
Why on her own time, she should do a reaction video, you however don’t have to watch it
@@kattastadir-sydri stop getting offended over everything, it’s pathetic
Not gonna lie, when I started getting into avenged sevenfold and heard this song for the first time I also got very weirded out, now it's one of my favorite a7x songs
The Rev - We Love You 🙌 foREVer
How is it possible that I go to see the video and end up mesmerized by you
For sure, this is one of the best songs i've ever heard... The vocals, the music, the live scene... It's so perfect
I really enjoy this video and how you describe what a lot of people thinks about this great band and this song, we all see that you we're really enjoying the concert haha
Cómo que para el 7 de junio, estamos a 5 y ya lo quiero ver 😂 Muy buena elección de musica ☺️
One of my favorite reactions on the internet @ 2:00
The confusion, followed by the "WTF" face, followed by the "wait wait wait ..."
The slow realization of Necrophilia.I don't know why, but I laugh my ass off every time.
I love that I got to see them live this song was amazing
You’ve gotta do some of their older material from this show like unholy confessions and second heartbeat. “Unholy confessions” is the song that first put them on the map and is a staple in almost every live set they play, plus they’ve got a lot of harsh vocals which is great to hear shadows sing live, song has some really bad as epic moments that make for great reactions. Anyway great reaction as always, I look forward to see the next song you eventually do for this show, glad to see your channel growing real quickly.
Love your a7x reactions. I think you should perhaps do some of the newer stuff too. The Stage is such a great journey along with the official video, a different genre in a way, but still the way a7x knows how to deliver themselves like before.

Watching you start to understand this song was so fun!
You definitely need to see the video from this song, is simply a masterpiece
She needs to listen to COSMIC! From their new album. 😇
Yeah the music video for this one really helps paint the story. It’s about a guy who murdered his gf because she said no to his proposal for marriage (not only that but laughed at him as if he was crazy thinking anyone would ever marry him). He snapped and killed her and ended up preserving her body and well….having fun time….with it but since dead bodies are cold he got a “heater for her thighs” so it would feel like she was alive. Eventually her soul came back to her dead body to get revenge and she killed him. He then snapped back out of it and realized what he had done and how fucked up it was so he asked for her forgiveness and she decided to give him a chance since now they’re essentially both stuck in this purgatory together of basically being zombies. They end up doing regular zombie shit together, you know the normal zombie shit, and they ended up falling back in love and deciding to actually “get married” and spend the rest of eternity together as the undead killing people, more specifically killing people getting married because the idea of marriage is what got them both in the situation they were now in in the first place. It’s definitely an extremely morbid and fucked premise and story, and that’s kinda the point. That type of story and lyric to the background of the musicality they play throughout is haunting because it doesn’t seem like the story will be that dark. The Rev wrote the song basically entirely himself and it’s considered one of their best songs simply because it’s so unique to all the rest of their shit and it’s just so well done and if the topic were different, it likely would’ve been nominated for some shit
The first part The Rev sings is the guy killing the girl. He stabs her about “50 fucking times” rips her heart out and eats it. He just fully loses it. The second time he sings the lyrics change to “must have stabbed HIM fifty fucking times” because she comes back for revenge and kills him the same way he killed her. Stabs him and then rips his heart out and eats it. The point being she was an asshole to him, he killed her, she came back to get revenge and killed him, now they’re both stuck undead and they’ve both eaten each others hearts and realize they both messed up so they end up “bonding” over that and end up together forever. Toxic ass relationship tbh 😂
Another fun fact. This song is such a loved song by A7X fans, when they play it they tend to play it at the very end nowadays as a closer, so when I went to see them a few years ago when they had a make up concert because they were supposed to open for Metallica but had to postpone because Syn’s wife went into labor, they had a make up concert that was free if you had tickets to the Metallica concert and now it was a headlined A7X concert so longer setlist. Anyways, they played this song at the very end and right before they played it, they brought a guy on stage from back stage and he proposed to his gf on the stage. She said yes and then they went into this song to end it off 😂
I love how The Rev do the backing vocals like laughing and screaming. And i heard The Rev just yelling "hot dogs" lol. I heard it because i'm searching only The Rev vocals and i found it.
No she didn’t reject him, he was terrified that she WOULD reject him
@@robert3401 yeah but in terms of the video it was very obviously about to be a no lol. But yes technically true “before the possibilities came true, I took all possibility from you”
Finally, a reaction to this song that doesn’t include the music video. Everyone who has reacted to this song, has reacted to the music video, and they end up focusing on the music video more than the song itself.
Love when people realized the lyrics of the song for the first time
You must see Scream live at LBC ! The most badass part in LBC concert believe me :)
Masterpiece song 🤘
Fun and insightful reaction!
If i could relize a moment in life, it would be 2018 when I was fortunate enough to haul their show, and hearing this every night live. Its because of them I'm touring for the past 10 years.
The song always reminds me of if Tim Burton created a Circus. Thats the way I explained it to my wife when I introduced her to A7X
I loved your reaction 😂🖤
It’s a love story… a dark and twisted love story mixed in with murder, cannibalism, necrophilia, zombies, a crashed wedding and a massacre. It’s about a love so strong that not even death could keep them apart.
Aahhhh, youre one of the very few, who react to the live version, which is by the way much better than clip version..Nice!
You crack me up. I've never seen your vids before.
I'm waiting for this for so long... Avenged Sevenfold reaction😁
you should do a video of watching this whole concert at this point. like one long video of the whole concert would be sick
Tuviste mi corazón, al menos la mayor parte 🎶💙
This is one of their classic songs that was only added to the album after the label heard it and told the band they'd be crazy not to include it. It was written by the Rev and the demo version featured him on all instruments.
The rev was the one came up for the song idea and wrote it, there is a documentary about the making of the song, its great
This is so wild because this is literally their encore song and it’s 8 min in length after performing the rest of the album.
I was waiting for this
My fav song of all time❤
Love when people react to this live show, i personally love the live version of this track more than the studio one (primarily for the Matt - Jimmy call and response part). Some things you may enjoy (maybe not even video worthy - more like on your own time). There are numerous videos on the story of how this song came to be, it's the Rev's baby. Also, they have a bunch of studio track breakdowns (and yes they did this song) they started doing which are super cool because a lot of the times they'll isolate the different instruments and vocal parts or little parts of the songs that are easy to miss.
"Did i hear that correctly?
... in her sleep???!!"
you are so innocent 😂
I love the way your outfit matches sinister gates' guitar
This reaction is hilarious! 😂
