I've been working through his filmography and he's amazing, 12 angry men is one of my favourite films of all time. Just recently watched Prince of the City which is an incredible epic film about police corruption in New York and the real life story it's based on has a connection to Serpico.
Was completely up for this purchase until I saw the price, ☹️ Have not seen many lumet films, I have enjoyed watching the Hill many times with my grandad
Is the special features disc really a feature-length documentary about Lumet? The features list on the Imprint site sounds more like three interviews with collaborators, perhaps edited with stills and scenes/video. I already own all six of the films on Blu-Ray, so the supplementary disc would be my main reason for purchasing.
The Ultimate box set for me would be 12 Angry Men, The Hill (not available on Blu), The Pawnbroker (superb film, probably the best film I have seen about the Holocaust and which is unfortunately tough to find Blu), Serpico, Network, Dog Day Afternoon, The Verdict (still not available on Blu) and The Offence. DAY 1 Its a bit weird some of those discs have no special features. I wonder if that is a rights issue with the other labels that made them.
Got the BFI of the Pawnbroker and The Offence and the Kino Twelve Angry Men I want to mention The Anderson Tapes another Lumet film and Deathtrap and Running on Empty of course.
I like the look of this set but leaning more towards the Brando or Farrow set. It seems the majority of these films are available elsewhere for cheaper. For example I already own The Pawnbroker, and Serpico 4k from Kino, although that is also in the Masters of Cinema line and easy to get. The offence is also in MoC line. I'm pretty sure The Deadly Affair can be picked up from Indicator, probably for £5 in a sale. What are your thoughts Elliot? I haven't seen much about the extras in this set, but my other Imprint titles I own are often fairly light in that department. The set looks very nice though I'll say that!

Lumet was a genius- even his last film is great; Prince of the City is wonderful too.
I haven't seen all of Lumet's films, but _Deathtrap_ is my favorite. I never hear anyone mention it! Hope it gets a 4K release.

Lumet doesn’t always get credit as a great director and yet when you look at your shelves he’s done many of your favourite films
Looks great but I’m just not paying 120 quid (incl. p&p) for this, when you consider how much say, an Indicator noir set goes for new
