I love audiopipe I use to run 2 bd4 15s at half ohm on skar 2k amp then switched to a single 15 at 1 ohm then switched to a skar audio 10 at 1 ohm. 😃🔊🥂⛽👍⚡🤙

This subwoofer seems to be positioned in between the Savard HiQ and HO 12” subs. You should really look into the Savard subs Parker! I think you would be pleasantly surprised!

I built a dual 6.5 box using bottom shelf pyles, wasnt nearly as bad as I thought. I recently replaced the Pyles with Audiopipes of equal spec and same price plus or minus a few bucks. The overall difference in quality is astounding! Ive read AP simply clones other brands designs. Whether or not thats true, they offer some competitive quality for dollar spent!

ive always been a fan of AP bcd subs. a pair of bcd 3s or 4s and a smart3 is what ive been recommending for a laypersons budget set it & forget it setup for some yrs now the smart3 leaves just a little bit of room to grow if/when they catch what i refer to as "the feevah"lol

That sub looks like a tank. I remember my first APs i liked them alot.
That high fs seems like it would be a really punchy sub like a beefed skar ddx where 40-65 sounds extra loud.

Someone, I forget who.... already tested one against a term lab and it was only 10w off. Which is incredibly low, I bet if you ran that test 10 times the averages would even up.

You know parker, that is a pretty big sub .im sure they will sell a lot of them . The price isn't terrible for what you get . I've been a fan of audio pipe . I dont run them because i found a better deal back 2 years ago when i was shopping for more than one sub. Anywho, it could be a go-to in the future . Thanks for the video, they preform well enough for me. Oh, ya, big jeff is awesome he gives me a discount that helps, too. Great guy . So, in my opinion i would drop under 30hz. Man I have the Xv3’s and upgraded too the new Rs Gold v2s and haven’t been able to go back since imma out my X’s in my room but if u ever get a chance check out the Gold v2s they’re insane for overall daily sub and I already know the Plat v2s are gonna be on another lvl
Naw, Jacob Fuller went and posted the specs sheet of the AP 5 stack and it's complete trash and nothing has changed except an extra ferite slug to the motor

@@ChaosTherapy719that ap is not just another slug of ferrite!! Its 2 inches deeper mounting depth. That frame is kinda the same but depth double tinsel and I'm sure a few other minor changes... I like all companies and all subwoofers but on that sub to say only change on that subwoofer is an extra slug is funny af!

I wonder if they got rid of the mega roll surrounds and made the cone area a bit more what they would sound like. Seems like a massive surround. The cone area would be so beneficial on these cheaper Chinese rebranded subwoofers.

You should test the new Trinity E series subwoofers. Budget but high Efficiency ratings for 12s and 15s.
I like audiopipe for a daily set. My bdc2 is still going strong. Im still waiting to see someone do a good review of the DS18 ZXI12.4

Audio pipe stepping up there game they need a good 2500-3500 RMS sub to really get into the big league these other companies are making some ridiculous stuff I'm currently waiting for a new 15" Incriminator audio TYRANT rated for 5K RMS to put on the Deafbonce AAK 6k running at 15.8 I should see a little over 7K to the sub I think 🤔 really really stoked to see what it can do watching you guys on here has inspired me to upgrade everything I'm trying to float stuff and do hair tricks too lol 😆

Jhu. AP cutouts smaller than typical. Additional problem to solve if you have a prefab box.
That's true this is 11 even cutout and not 11 1/8 like most 12 inch subs
So I’m looking at getting a new set of audio pipes @ 4ohm as a daily and I like that deep bass With my little understanding since the fs is 50 and the bbs 279 on the bdx it wouldn’t be that good for the lows… that the five stack would be a better buy for that deep bass I know you had them both so what do you think?
Point the speaker at the rear hatch leaving about a 9 inch gap and redo the DBL test

I have the same watt meter and figured out a couple songs that it would be a lot easier to consistently get 1500 watts. Because the song you used on the test bench was all over the place you might have hit 1500 a few times.

@ParkerTheBassHead is it possible on the the DB score could you do a 30hz as well? I know your king city is not tuned that low but My thinking is it will really show what the sub is Capable of. Just food for thought.

An FS of 48! Damn that's high, I don't see it playing down low as good as others but should be super punchy and play metal kick drum pretty insane. The wlldse HCY subs were like that they had an FS of like 41 out of the box and 38 broke in, I added mass and they went to 31 and they dig deeper with more authority now before they just kinda fell off down low but kick drum was a killer punch to your chest at that fast metal pace now there kinda in between they play down low and higher bass great.
Box design will make this play reasonably as low as 25-28 hz, depending on how your port, or horn is designed.
@@Bezzle. Well it will obviously help some but porting will boost the output at tuning but a stiff sub with a high FS will not have very good response or output down at those frequencies so it will just boost the not very good low frequency output, if that was the case FS wouldn't matter and it does. If you were to run that subs parameters on win isd or and box modeler you would see it drop like a rock down low regardless of tuning, also SQ suffers on a high FS sub because SQ is buttery lows you get with a soft suspension and a stiff suspension really fights excursion and low frequency response, that's why spl subs are very stiff SQ are really soft.
@@95Sn95if u added some mass under the dust cover and got the fs around at least 35 htz it would prolly sound like a totally different sub but I'm not into high fs subs any over about 38 htz for 12 any higher and u just get 40-65 htz punchy bass there's been quite a few subs I've added mass to to bring the fs down also on the wlldse hcy added mass and it really got low and wouldn't bottom out super easy.

Got a question if you use to small of a power wire to your amp it Will melt but you can use a small whire from your amp to sub and won't melt

But all jokes aside, looks like a great sub. Can't believe it only has 20 mm of x max one way though. That's disappointing
Hey Parker, can you review a jl w7 13.5 or a 12. I’ve never heard one but I herd that those are known to be one of the best subs you can buy
They are for "sound quality" arguably the best. SPL not so much. Do they get loud ? Hell yeah just not the crazy numbers other subs can do. But hey they'll sound 💯 better than most, just a couple of DB quieter. JLs don't like a lot of abuse/clipping.

Wow, that 50hz Fs is pretty high. Is the suspension extra stiff? I suppose the Fs will come down after some play time but probably still be over 40hz.
Yessir it is super stiff out the box
The TS parameters are meant to be accurate after the sub has broken in. So brand new the Fs is probably around 60hz. Once it breaks in and softens up then it'll be 48hz

There are two zvx-12v2's and a evil series or ddx.. and I have a different triple sealed enclosure in my jeep patriot and I put all precision power Phantom Series 12's it sounded good then I put a kicker crv on one side a ddx skar in the middle and kept one precision power 🔋 on the right side my thought process was it would cover all the different bass frequencies and it does sound way better than having all three of the same I just wired them up the same 2 ohm parallel

You should try 28 32 33 audiopipe dont like 40+ unless underpowered audiopipe loves 28 and up American bass 25 and up kicker is 35+ lovers 45 smashers sundown just plays anything i know it xant stand alone next to the hd 12 which is my go to u plan on doing any orion hcca or splx been wit u since u had 25k subs

Okay I need help, for a $500 for 2 12’s I’m currently going for the XFL’s I’ve looked at plenty of reviews and comparisons and they all point to XFL for loud and low with pretty good SQ, tho the XFL’s aren’t for sale ANYWHERE rn, so what is a good alternative if I’m not able to find some after a while ?
