    Started off not really liking Taramps, but I've had to revise my opinion, now that I know a bit more about 'em. Choosing the right one for how it's being used is crucial. For subs, SMART, SMARTBASS, BIG BOSS or MD are the ones to use.

    The current limiting feature on these amps limiting the wattage output is the only feature I don't like about them I feel like they would do much more power if they didn't have that feature

    • @JohnG1000
      @JohnG1000 18 днів тому +7

      They did that so they won't blow up and catch fire when peoples electrical can't keep up

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 18 днів тому +2

      I don't feel like you're understanding the advantages of current limiting. If a traditional amplifier gave you 7,400w at half ohm then it would probably only give 5,000w at 1 ohm, then 3000 at 2 ohm and maybe 1800 at 4 ohm. Which amp would you rather have?
      The current limiting feature gives you way more power at the higher ohm loads. Keep in mind they only built the internals to handle 8,000 watt continuous. This is how they keep the prices as low as possible.

Batteries are rated in amp hr., so thats why i answered the way i did. I want to try to help you if i can, but please be more descriptive, thank you. Also when trying to figure out electrical requirements, its best to use the Largest draw. Like in your example 17kw. To support 17kw, you would need to be able to provide roughly 1,700 Amps of current, depending on actual efficiency. Hope this help's!?

      Completely the opposite, the Smart technology kicks in on burps and throttles back hard, you will never see 17k on a burp. Sam from Barevids explains why the amp reads that on the dyno during the dynamic burst test. Don't be surprised to see 10k with proper voltage. Make sure you dont clip even slightly or the smart tech will kick in and really throttle back on burps . For demos, these amps are monsters because of the smart technology due to variances of impedance during fluctuating frequencies.🤙🔊
