Your thoughts on the Captain America franchise were spot on. The movies were solid and I felt like each sequel got better and then Falcon and Winter Soldier dropped the ball.
Always thought first avenger was most underrated mcu movies because winter soldier and civil war always overshadowed it.
I know a lot of people didn’t like The Falcon and the Winter Solider, and I’ve never understood why. I really dug the show, it’s my second favorite show behind Loki.
Thats why I dont consider falcon and winter as apart of the Cap trilogy lol
@@zackarydecicco3919 it is a really good show but it drops the ball with its treatment of the Flag Smashers. We already had the narrative of villain has a point but is a murderous maniac in Black Panther.
@@lararys7765 To an extent I can understand that but it doesn’t bother me as much as other people.
How would you rank the Marvel shows??
I'm fairly sure Ant man 3 is actually gonna be very important for the MCU going forward with Kang. I hope people who treated the first two as being "just fun" but not too important will still see this one
Yes more important to the mcu, but let’s not kid ours less that movie want be another doctor strange 2, it’s Paul Rudd so it’s gonna be filled with humor.
@@scruffd0g193 Paul is capable of dramatic too
Well Antman and Wasp is a very important movie because we got to explore Quantum realm more for the first time. Quantum realm saved half of the universe in Endgame.
Execute Order 66!
@@SathishKumar-sk8fe I always think this when people say that the antman films are just for laughs and don’t have serious effects on the MCU
Falcon and the Winter Soldier should have definitely been a movie. The first film in a new Cap trilogy.
Right now, the multiverse, cosmic/magic, and Thunderbolts/crime syndicate elements of phase 4 haven't really come together yet. I hope X-Men and F4 will be the glue that ties everything together going forward.
That’s what I think will happen. I legit thought doctor doom was gonna be the next thanos level threat and not kang
@@scruffd0g193 Fingers crossed he still will be. Maybe phase 5?
@@scruffd0g193 absolutely not! They will do a horrible job with him. They'll probably taskmaster him
@@VinceCasciani F4 and X Men wont be the glue of the phases but they'll be great additions
I never thought Marvel could give me another awesome theater experience after Endgame, but along came No Way Home. Those two are definitely two of the best Marvel movies ever made
It's incredible how a guy like Thor who has lived more than 2000 years, is still figuring out who he is. This is the most frustating character for me because there are so many epic stories that you can make with this character, so many villains and world that you can explore. I would have loved a movie of thor with a group of warriors going in adventures. More fights like the one at the beginning of thor 1 where they are fighting the Frost giants. Thor is a warrior, and the best stories that you can make of this type of characters is something like he was in Infinity War. Unfortunely, we can pick just a few moments of this in his entire franchise
I mean it’s a reflection of life, just cuz he’s immortal doesn’t mean he’s immune to identity crisis
Been alive for 2000 years but is still in his young adult stage.
I wanted more of that too which was why I was really upset that the Warriors Three from Thor 1 were killed off unceremoniously in Ragnarok.
I think it’s more that he was well developed in his first 2-3 appearances and then the studio decided that not only is he in a major depressive state, but hes also basically a toddler in terms of his intelligence.
@@lararys7765 yeah, that did not make sense. If you want to see the best Thor adaptation, you gotta watch Avengers: The mightiest heroes on earth.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one baffled by the Infinity Cone thing in Love and Thunder!
A lot of people on Twitter have mentioned how much they hate it
@@arshaddahlan Twitter hates everything
@@shane7778 I usually try to stay away from all the negative discourse, but like Sean, the infinity cones thing bothered a lot of people haha
We do have to remember that the infinity stones are also what helped bring everyone back from the blip 🤔
I think it was probably a tribute to Tony, giving how he used the infinity gauntlet to defeat Thanos
I can confirm you used the term “mid” correctly 😂😂
Awesome ranking Sean been waiting for this love it man
I like the background for this video it’s really cool I wonder how you did it
I love your videos, keep up the good work!!!
Here is my ranking:
9. Captain Marvel
8. Thor
7. Doctor Strange
6. Ant-Man
5. Iron Man
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
3. Spider-Man
2. Captain America
1. The Avengers
Captain America movies>mcu spiderman movies
100% agree with all these placements
1. Captain America (most complete journey)
2. Spider-Man (similar to Cap works as a tight standalone trilogy and goes on journey from 1 to 3)
3. Avengers (I love all the films and last 2 are epic but you still need to watch other sub franchises to get the full experience unlike the Cap & Spider-Man ones)
4. Guardians Of The Galaxy (I think will move up after vol 3, incomplete trilogy atm)
5. Ant-Man (fun but inconsequential films)
6. Doctor Strange
7. Iron Man (Iron Man 2 & 3 were let downs)
8. Captain Marvel/The Marvels
9. Thor (inconsistency of films and character throughout 4 films)
💯
Bro I've been watching you since Infinity War came out and you are just such a charm to watch. The way your spoken about your opinions and just the type of rankings and reviews you do are just really good and you're easily my favourite reviewer. Keep it up Mr. Sean
You’re spot on with your use of the word Mid Sean😂
Hey Sean, are you doing a Stranger things character ranking or no.
1.Steve
2.Hopper
@@iamgroot3615 I don’t know how people like hopper
He’s such an annoying character for me and pisses me off
@@elijahrincon3586 you lose your right to an opinion
@@elijahrincon3586 hopper is one of the best wdym
@@elijahrincon3586 David harbour is a great actor, he is a flawed character, great relationship with el, great relationship with joyce, heroic, funny, sad/emotional backstory with his daughter, emotional moments talking to Russian guy in prison. Overall I think he’s the deepest character
When you were talking about the Ant Man franchise Sean and saying about your expectations for Ant Man 3, saying it’ll just be a fun film, won’t try to change the MCU, I don’t think that is the case. This film is introducing Kang fully in his true form, and personally I think they’re setting him up to be the next big bad of the MCU after Thanos. Where do you go after the guy who has gained himself ultimate power over one universe/one timeline? How about the guy who has power over every universe/every timeline.
Exactly lol. I was like the next film is gonna be massive
Was coming here to comment that lol
It’s rumored that Ant Man 3 will have MODOK too, and that MODOK will be Kang’s second in command
Thought exact with Gorr too. What happened?
Gorr is a bigtime villain but he’s more so a personal villain for Thor personally. Kang is a MARVEL VILLAIN. This dude has run ins with the Avengers, Young Avengers, Fantastic 4. He’s a much larger deal as a whole than Gorr is, and this is coming from someone who absolutely adores the Jason Aaron run of Thor with Gorr being a heavy focus
Loving the content sean!
Also Sean in regards to your Ant Man comments, let’s not forget we’re getting Kang the Conqueror fully fledged in Ant Man Quantumania next year. So that movie will be MUCH different than the first two in terms of stakes, importance, and it’ll probably be darker too. It won’t be crazy dark or anything, but definitely more serious than the first two
Agree, no way it’s gonna be crazy dark. It’s Paul Rudd ant man so expect a lot of jokes and comedic humor
@@scruffd0g193 Hopefully the stakes are quite high though. The low stakes is prob the main reason for ant man and the wasp being so underwhelming
Keep it up man! Love your content.
Same
Love the vids man! Been watching since 1k!
My ranking would be:
1. Avengers
2. Captain America
3. Spiderman
4. Iron Man
5. Doctor Strange
6. Guardians
7. Antman
8. Thor
9. Captain Marvel
I rewatched the second guardians and it’s a 8/10 for me now. Before it was a 7.
The yondu arc is by far the best part of that film
It’s colorful, better than the 1st one
@@david-arthur8166 Disagree, the first one was better
@@Bobby_30 yeah first one was better
@@david-arthur8166 I think first one was better but 2nd one was still good imo
love your vids bro
Spider-Man franchise rating/description is one of the best takes I’ve heard in awhile.
Wasn't expecting this one 🔥🔥🔥
My personal list
9. Marvels
8. Dr strange
7.Guardians
6. Thor
5. Ironman
4. Antman
3. Spider-Man
2. Captain America
1. Avengers
oh my
W list, I would switch Captain America and Spider-Man
@@zacharyshen811 tbh I think Spiderman has the most overrated movies, no way home was good, far from home was very bad, homecoming was decent. It’s like the iron man movies, When every you watch a captain America movie, you expect it to be good and it always is. The only downside is falcon and the winter solider, I think it was a above average show compared to the other ones.
@@Jappaa. I liked far from home to be honest
Sean saying Mid is something I didn’t know I needed 😂😂
Yo Sean loved the rankings! I recommend watching umbrella academy and ranking the three seasons!

9.The Marvels
8.Guardians
7.Dr Strange
6.Antman
5.Thor
4.Captain America
3.Spider Man
2.Avengers
1.Iron Man
Cap is better than the spide which everybody likes for some reason
I have a feeling if done properly Ant Man and the Wasp 3 will surprise how Ragnarok did for Thor based on Kang being in it.
9. Marvels
8. Thor
7. Iron Man
6. Ant Man
5. Doctor Strange
4. Guardians
3. Spider Man
2. Avengers
1: Captain America
I fully agree with you on the Thor issue. I actually liked the tone of the first two. So when I saw Ragnarok, I was a bit let down at first because I thought THAT one was treated as a Thor film parody. Then my fear for Love and Thunder was that they would take the overwhelming success of Ragnarok and lean more and more into it. Sure enough, that's what happened.
Sean you are amazing! You always give a reasoning for the order of your lists. And that makes me agree! Bt most of all it doesn't matter what we like the most it's about what makes it the best and be the number one. And not just on this video bt in every video. For instance I love thor and loki. Bt I totally get it why they are located on that line. Great job as always Sean! 👌😁
Sean Chandler I just subscribed to your channel awesome content man your totally right about the marvel universe franchise wise the avengers the best
I laughed way too much at Sean not knowing what mid means lmaoooo
1. Avengers
2. Captain America
3. Guardians Of The Galaxy
4. Thor
5. Iron Man
6. Ant-Man
7. Spider-man
When phase 4 ends can you do a ranking of the mcu phases?
Can u rank the How to Train Your Dragon characters
Very well use of the word “mid” 👍
Great video as always. Just want to add that the infinity gauntlet is not only tool of mass genocide but also of mass saving
My Ranking from the best to worst:
1.) Avengers Quadrilogy (9,5/10)
2.) Captain America Trilogy (9,3/10)
3.) Guardians Of the Galaxy Duology (8,7/10)
4.) MCU Spiderman Trilogy (8,6/10)
5.) Doctor Strange Duology (8,3/10)
6.) Iron Man Trilogy (7,9/10)
7.) Ant man Duology (7,6/10)
8.) Thor Quadrilogy (7,2/10)
9.) The Marvels (6,5/10)
9:59 I know this is a minor detail, but it’s actually “go on red” in that universe (Earth-838) from Multiverse of Madness. The way you phrased it is the normal way it works. Anyway, this was an interesting ranking of each MCU franchise.
Great video, Sean. Here’s my list.
9. The Marvels
8. Doctor Strange
7. Guardians
6. Thor
5. Ant Man
4. Spider-Man
3. Iron Man
2. Captain America

Doctor Strange is in it’s right place here.
What's guardians doing down there?
Doctor was pretty good
Got to drop your address for not having Guardians top 5 lol

Great ranking! My favourite is absolutely Avengers
The infinity cone thing you said from Love and Thunder is exactly what I thought
1. Avengers
2. Captain America
3. Spider-Man
4. Iron Man
5. Guardians Of The Galaxy
6. Doctor Strange
7. Ant-Man
8. Thor
9. The Marvels
Can you do a lowest rated marvel movie bracket showdown? I enjoy that series!
Hey Sean, can we expect a complete MCU ranking soon?
He does one once a year so he’ll probably do the next one in like January
Likely after black panther 2
I lost it when Sean said “mid”
Great ranking, Sean. Original idea tbh. My list is pretty similar to yours, I think we only really disagree on Thor.
My ranking:
-Average Tier--
9) Captain Marvel
8) Ant-Man
--Good Tier--
7) Iron Man
6) Doctor Strange
--Great Tier--
5) Thor
4) Guardians
3) Captain America
--Amazing Tier--
2) Spider-Man
1) Avengers
I added up my scores for the movies (and shows if applicable) for each franchise. Here is my ranking:
9. Iron Man - 78.6% (1 is terrific, 2 is ok, 3 is great, probably the most inconsistent franchise for me)
8. Thor - 81% (Ragnarok and Love and Thunder are fantastic, Thor and Dark World are acceptable, but not on the same quality. If Loki were included, my score jumps up to 84.4%)
7. The Marvels - 82% (The franchise has potential to go up with the new one next year, but both entries are great, not exceptional)
6. Ant-Man - 85% (Both movies are great, but not exceptional. I like them slightly better than The Marvels)
5. Doctor Strange - 88% (Multiverse of Madness propelled this one higher. The first Doctor Strange is great, but Multiverse of Madness is so fun to watch)
4. Guardians of the Galaxy - 89% (The opposite of Doctor Strange. The first one is fantastic, while the second one is only great)
3. The Avengers - 93.75% (I’m shocked this isn’t number one. While I adore 3 of the movies, Age of Ultron isn’t as good as the others. While makes the franchise top 3 for sure is Infinity War and Endgame)
2. Captain America - 95.25% (Every one of these movies + the show are fantastic. I love the themes and deep arcs for each character in the franchise. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is awesome, even with obvious missteps such as the Flagsmashers)
1. MCU Spider-Man - 95.6% (Like Cap, I love each of the movies in the trilogy. I adore No Way Home in particular, as it is an exciting, endlessly rewatchable ride that concludes Spider-Man’s arc in the trilogy on a very high note)
Love that you are trying to use the word ‘mid’, as someone on the older size of Gen Z (23) I have absolutely no idea when this word randomly became a thing and I also sound like that ‘how do you do’ meme trying to use it
Hey Sean will you do a top 10

Here is my ranking of the MCU franchises:
1. Spider-Man: Home
2. Avengers

8. Thor
9. The Marvels
Why tf spiderman so high😂
@@nightmare_1874 Because Spider-Man is my favorite superhero and I've adored all three of his movies in the MCU, in my personal opinion.
1. Avengers

6. Doctor Strange
7. Ant-Man

Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Elvis (2022)
I watched Elvis six times already. It might be my favorite film of the year. It's very rewatchable like Forrest Gump. Watched Top Gun: Maverick a 5th time yesterday. These movies are better than Infinity War, Endgame, The Winter Soldier, Civil War, and No Way Home.
We already peaked with MCU. It peaked in Phase 3 from 2016-2019 starting with Civil War and ending in Endgame. Now we must lower our standards and cross our fingers hoping at least half of them are good. It's going to be very hit or miss from here on out.

MCU Franchises Ranked
1. Avengers
2. Captain America
3. Spider-Man
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Iron Man
6. Doctor Strange
7. Ant-Man
8. Thor
9. Captain Marvel
1 - Thor
2 - The Avengers
3 - Captain America
4 - Guardians Of The Galaxy
5 - Spider-Man
6 - Iron Man
7 - Doctor Strange
8 - Ant-Man
9 - The Marvels

2. Captain America
3. Spider-Man
4. Iron Man
5. Doctor Strange
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Thor
8. The Marvels
9. Ant-Man
Here’s how I would rank the MCU franchises.
The best and most consistent, well rounded franchise(s):
1. The Avengers Quadrilogy
2. The Captain America trilogy
3. The Spider man trilogy
Franchises that are good but are either incomplete or have flaws:
4. Guardians of the Galaxy franchise
5. The Iron Man trilogy
6. Ant man franchise
The franchises that are the most inconsistent or have many flaws:
7. Doctor Strange/Wandaverse franchise
8. The Thor Quadrilogy
Outlier: Captain Marvel franchise
Apparently the word isn’t actually quadrilogy, it’s
tetralogy.
I have so many problems with Far from home
@@jeromevaleska2014 both mean the same thing though.
I agree with most of this list but I would switch the ant man franchise and doctor strange franchise.
so basically you copied video lol
i completely agree with every ranking.
please rank the IMDB top 20!
i did this franchise ranking a couple days ago
The Thor films are very frustrating because it’s generally all over the place, they found its place in Ragnarok but they did embrace it a bit much in Love & Thunder (Which I enjoyed), and before that The Dark World is not terrible but easily bottom line of the MCU
Sean forgot the Etermals at #10.
Are you gonna do like one hits next ?
My list before watching
1. Avengers
2.captain America
3.Spider-Man
4.Thor
5.dr strange
6.guardians
7.iron man
8.ant man
Are you completely digging the MCU for content?
Love your videos, please do something other than superheroes
My list is almost identical to yours, Sean, with only one big difference. For me, as it currently stands:
1) The Avengers tetralogy
2) Spider-Man trilogy
3) Captain America trilogy (+FATWS)
4) Thor tetralogy (+Loki)
5) Guardians of the Galaxy duology
6) Iron Man trilogy
7) Doctor Strange duology
8) Ant-Man duology
9) Captain Marvel & Ms. Marvel
1-6 are all pretty close, and then a big gap between 6 and 7
1. Avengers
2. Spider Man
3. Iron Man
4. Thor
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
6. Captain America ( I think it’s just a bit less memorable then some of the ones above it)
7. Ant Man
8. Dr. Strange
9. Captain Marvel
Pretty much a perfect list
The Avengers movies are really tied into Tony’s story arc just as much as his stand alone Ironman movies.
My MCU Ranking
1. Avengers
2. Captain America
3. Spider-Man
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Doctor Strange
6. Iron Man
7. Ant-Man
8. Thor
9. Captain Marvel
I think my rank as far as the movies/series as a whole are
1. The Avengers
2. Spider-Man
3. Captain America
4. 4 way tie between Ant Man, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange
5. Thor
6. The Marvels
I am missing having more movies like Avengers 1 where superheroes are trying to protect people, where the common people are in danger, and superheroes have to fight their villains but protect people at the same time. I had some moments like that in the last episode of Miss Marvel, but before that it's being a long time. That is why I still have Avengers 1 very high in my list.
Ok, but infinity cones was awesome😂
My MCU franchise ranking
1. Avengers (obviously)
2. Captain America
3. Spider-Man (I love how this is a trilogy long coming of age story)
4. Dr. Strange. I actually LOVE both of these films a lot
5. Iron Man (in large part due to the first and 3 is actually better upon rewatch)
6. Ant Man. I agree with your views on these films as a whole
7. GOTG. I actually love the GOTG as characters, but for whatever reason I can’t connect with their solo outings. Tho I have a feeling that’ll change with GOTG3
8. Thor. Yeah… this one is rough. I even find Ragnarok pretty overrated now a days
9. The Marvels
This would exactly be my ranking except I would switch Antman and Gotg. I also think both doctor strange films are pretty solid tho
Say what you want, I loved thor love and thunder. It was my favorite thor movie, I personally think critics and ppl like you are over hating it🤷♂️
I feel like the Mcu is in a way kind of like star wars. The first 3 phases was the original trilogy. Just iconic stuff. Now we are in the phantom menace unfortunately. I feel like no way home would then represents the final battle with Darth maul.
The Star Wars prequels are good though
We're gonna get 2 DogShit Phases then?
And Phase 6 is gonna be still flawed but slam-dunk *Revenge of the Sith* ?
I would find a list about movies you hated or liked at first and over time your opinion changed interesting.
Except GOTG 2, that’s never gonna change or FFH
I know this is off topic, but Dr Strange 2 was a solid movie and Sam Raimi only had some of the control over how good it was. If he can make a solid movie under those circumstances, imagine what he could do under normal circumstances, hopefully the phase 4 hate doesn’t intimidate him and stop us from finding out, #TeamRaimi
Dr. Strange 2 was bad BECAUSE of Raimi. It was as cringey and sloppy as every other movie he has made
@@shane7778 Nah, it's great. Really "Cringy"?. You think this is NWH that has to much of humor and bad jokes?. MoM's Cinematography is also too good.
@@mahmoodluqmaan3286 I said nothing about humor and bad jokes. The ten people I went with were literally laughing at how bad some parts were. The piano scene? Absolutely horrible and felt like it wasn’t necessary. Zombie Strange was totally terrible looking and looked like it took an hour to throw together. The only good part about that movie was Wanda’s character.
Sam Raimi makes campy movies(Spider-Man trilogy, Evil Dead, etc.) which is great if you like that. For me it’s just cringey and I’d rather not watch that type of movie.
@@shane7778 basically you saying it's cringe it's like saying is laughable garbage with a bunch of jokes like NWH, the Zombie Strange WAS SO AWESOME!, why you didn't like it?. Literally almost every Marvel fans love the moment when Dc Strange dreamwalking and use a variant of himself and he uses all the souls to try and defeat Wanda. The Piano scene was decent to say at least.
There's literally no proof that Raimi was heeded in any way other than with the gorey deaths. His fanboys just refuse to believe he could fail to make a great movie and want it to all be Marvel's fault to cope.

Best MCU franchise :)
The next Ant Man movie has Kang the Conqueror as the main villain, so I have a feeling that it will have mutch higher stakes than the previous two
I love it
Rank all of the movies and tv shows from worst to best
My list is the same as yours.
Spider man no way home, endgame and infinity war are my top 3 favourite mcu movies
Yeah man i love marvel movies and shows
This is not a critique at all but it's funny how Thor the dark world is the introduction of the reality stone, and how ant man set up the tech that ultimately saved the universe. So these are in my must watch list for people who want to watch phases 1 through 3, because otherwise you are lost. Too bad the essential films can't all be bangers as well!
Spiderman
Captain America
Avengers
Iron man
Dr strange
Guardians of the Galaxy
Thor
Antman
