Mushu’s moustache always makes me smile he’s such a sweet boy. His movement is lovely, it looks very smooth and his feather makes him almost look like he’s pointing his toes.
I had not known horses could have moustaches until seeing a bunch of draft crosses and maybe some Gypsy Vanner's on UA-cam. At first, I wasn't sure it was real, i.e. maybe photoshopped. After 50+ years around horses, you still find new things. Mushu has an excellent attitude and I love the firm but fair kind way you train and handle your horses. It is amazing that a 1,000 plus pound prey animal are willing to partner with us and trust us over their innate instincts. Thanks for sharing your beauties with us. Izzy is so cute in the background.
Mushu is so gentle with you. He knows you love him so much. Horses are incredible creatures, who deserve to be treated with respect. And you treat your horses like royalty. ❤ ❤
Mushu is one of those horses that has the temperament, character and energy to be a well rounded best buddy who will always show up and be interested in what is going on. He will be steady, reliable, patient, yet have a desire to play with spiritedness and stamina. He will be good with children, fearful riders, special needs riders, adults and riders that want a high energy, yet a calm horse in unusual situations. I can tell he has all of that in him. He will be great on long trail rides, camping out, pulling carts and doing gymkhanas and other horsey games. That is the kind of spirit and soul I see in Mushu. He reminds me of the gymkhana horses and ponies I used to see and ride when I was a young teenager at those kind of shows. Anyway, Shae you have a great relationship with Mushu already and he so obviously loves and respects you. I think you will be great buddies for a long time to come. Happy Birthday Shae. Glad you are taking time with your birthday horse to enjoy part of your birthday day! And thx Kyle for spending that time doing the videography on this special day. 👍👍❤️❤️🐎❤️🥰☮️💟
I had a neighbour in Devon that bred vanners and I worked with his youngsters. I remember going over one day and him saying 'One of these young mares has been ridden before, one hasn't and I can't remember which!'. Guess which one I got on! LOL. Bless her, she was a total sweetheart who kept looking over her shoulder at me to check she was doing the right thing. She was adorable!
Really impressive riding Shae.Mushu is a sweetie, thank god the old ways of 'breaking' a horse are changing, you are a wonderful example of how to train him, only 5th time, bareback and bitless. Well done, Shae, from Australia.
When it comes to how I like a horse to look, I go for the Akhal Teke look: the lean, gracile build, the metallic sheen of their hide. They're like horse ballerinas. But I agree with you that all horses are beautiful. I've become fond of Mushu, especially his cute little mustache. And I've finally figured out what he looks like to me: if I was making a plush horse toy it would look like him with the thick cuddly body and the fluffy mane, tail, and feather. He's cuddly. They made a magnificent statue of Man O' War, but he's not cut out to be a plushie.
You do an incredible job getting the horses to trust you. It shows how much kindness and respect you show them. Excellent job! Mushu is such a good baby. Also his mustache is like the cutest thing I've seen. OMG! lol
Gosh, I love Mushu's husky build... he is so strong and gorgeous! He must be a lot of fun to ride. Watching Ezzy run around and be curious is so cute. Such sweet horses.🐎
People don't take catnip as seriously as they should if they don't have cats, but deal with flies due to livestock. We used to almost not be able to deal with the flies until I met an old farmer who asked me why I was not using catnip as ground cover around my arena and corals and stables. It took two growing seasons for the catnip to really take and spread like ground cover but by year 2 the difference was extremely noticeable. I now plant it everywhere but in the pastures, and let it grow in the stables in barrels as we have skylights that give it enough sun. The flies are not gone but over time have gone from tolerable to barely noticeable. While it is planted where horse could grab at it we make sure they do t get more than a taste and when do they don't want seconds. Our goats like it well enough that they can keep it under control and year the barn cats, depending on the growing season can get sort of silly acting in the barrels
Happy Birthday Shae, Monday, 7/24/23. Mostly I appreciate the way you trained Mushu today. You had much knowledge about Mushu’s character, so, so much of his training was complimentary to his base knowledge, his temperament, his size, his arena for learning. Even with the exciting distractions of a curious foal, a young Gypsy Vanner, and video grapher recording the training, did not disturb the focus of Mushu, but for a second, yet easily directed to the task at hand. He is a solid horse with great manners and abilities already growing in confidence and consistency bc of your excellent training skills Shae. I love these videos when you teach and explain. There is knowledge, skill, insights and it glows easily from your head to mouth to film. Love it. Thx! 👍🥰❤️❤️❤️
Shae, you and Mushu look so cute trotting around together! By the end of the video he was more comfortably secure, wasn't he?! Posting your little self on his bareback, wide middle must have been somewhat of a challenge. Wahoo! 🤠🐴🧡
Mushu reminds me of the first horse I learned to ride on. She was a Quarter pony named Coco and built like Mushu. She was very comfortable to ride bareback, intelligent, sweet and patient.
Mushu is such a sweetheart Shae, I used to say that riding my gypsy mare bareback was like sitting in a big comfy armchair, she was big and round too lol, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
So happy to see you riding Mushu your dream horse!! I love gypsy vanner horses!!! They are so kind and absolutely beautiful horses!!!Mushu loves you!!!🐴🐴💞💞😍😍
Hi Shea. Mushu is showing what an honest hardworking boy he is. Obedience and calm is not only characteristic of his breed, but is a display of his personality. He is in earnest to please - a sign of his compassion, his intelligence, and his respect. Such a gentleman! ❤❤❤ Lovely peaceful Bella, Esmi blossoming, fearless and friendly. Those legs are like pogo-sticks... full of zoomies and bounce ❤❤❤ Angie. North Yks. UK

This is fantastic Shae!!! I love that little horse I would LOVE to own a horse as sweet and willing to please as Smooooooshy smooch lol!!! I just love your posts girl more than any other channel ever. I'm so happy to relearn and watch these beautiful spiritual creatures build bonds with their favorite human! I don't know when I don't know how: but I WILL have horses again!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful life with all of us!💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛🐴💛
Mushu is a handsome boy and has such a calm demeaner. So glad you did not use a bit. Essy is getting to be such a big girl. You are such a kind soul and love you for the way you take care of the horses.
I bet Horses don't call them Dear flies. Pesky blighters! Although it does mix things up having them around and it's nice to see Moshu's little spat wasn't too extreme. I'd be most reassured to know he can be horridly bothered, possibly bitten and he didn't totally lose his mind and you. He is just completely adorable and perfect and I reckon little Essy thinks so too.
He has nothing but I want to please my momma attitude, he truly loves his human momma. And you can see that in his walking, and licking his lips through it all. He is definitely a keeper love bug. Tfs
Hi again SHAE Soo sweet how he shows affection to you! A cuddly boy for sure. He's coming along really good. Quiet and responsive no nonsense. Can't imagine you ever selling your dreamhorse! Enjoy every moment with his journey too. Thx for sharing. Catcha next time.
Good boy Mushu. Love your style with the training. And your style of outfits and lippy! I had an Appaloosa years ago. He was such a brilliant horse 🐴❤️
He obviously loves you a lot! Its so cute in other videos he tends to check on his rider like when you get on he seems to be like, "You all set Shay? you up there ok?" He seems to be a very caring heart.
Happy Birthday and anniversary of one year of Mushu videos! He looks so happy and content when he gets to hang out with you. Hope Dove is doing well and your ankle is healing. Thought maybe that was why you went saddleless until you jumped off Mushu’s back! I was like what? You’re just full of surprises. Yes, those darn flies actually take bits of skin and draw blood! Can’t believe summer is going by so swiftly. 🎂💐🥂💖🐎

Such a good boy and doing so well with training. Like you said, he’s learning balance and is continually improving. He’s so eager to please that he’s going to such a phenomenal horse with training. Since you mentioned “riding a potato” 😂 (cracked me up), with his future training, will he also be taught side passing? He done quite well with the emergency dismount. I just smile when I see him, especially when he uses his mustache as sensory. 💕🌻
