Not to delude myself into thinking I'm dating a character that doesn't actually exist. I love fanservice and hot female characters too but there should be balance. There are literally hentai games for these gooners, they don't even seem to realize they have games specifically for what they want. It's totally selfish to try to force that shit(by bullying devs) into any game you play ruining part of the experience for others. It's a combination of terminally online plus them never interacting with real women, and male insecurity to the extreme. I for one like a good balance as I like to play both male and female characters. For example I quit Aether Gazer because it became too focused on just female characters. the male character situation is really bad and toxic from what i've cheard from some CN players. aparetly those male players are a small vocal minority but they have the CN government on speed dial in case the game doesn't cater to them so i feel like a lot of developers feel the need to please that vocal minority by releasing a lot more female characters. from what i've heard, there was an intern at kuro games that harassed a female kuro game's employee that designed a male character in PGR. it was so bad that she decided to quit work. that intern was apparently one of those male toxic CN players that wants no male characters in their game so he basically insulted the female empoyee for creating a male character for the game (i believe the character's name is chrome). idk what exactly happened to the internt or to the female employee after that incident, this is what i've heard from PGR players but yeah the situation over there is really bad.
Tbf... I used to be a pgr player in tw server and was there during global launch up to a few patches after their 1st anniversary. I ended up quitting because the release of male characters took too long lmao. I was willing to whale to get SSS+ male characters and max out their 5* weapons as well.. But to grind 1+ years just for the next male character?? It's downright tiring. I couldn't even come back for hyperreal lee release even though he's my OTP just because of the release gap.
Oh I’ve watched this video before. It’s pretty crazy, but sadly the common thing of male players hating male characters. Because they don’t want their waifu characters to like any other men but them. I’ve also seen this among western players even in WW community. That they hope men never come or rarer than the rarest than gem. I’ve seen these waifu lovers go ham insulting those who ask for more male characters in comment sections of videos. Even some CCs of WW once was on the ‘ewww man’ train with the common rhetoric of ‘If you want more male characters, go play LADS and otome. This is how gacha always will be, men don’t sell’, invalidating those who want more male characters to play’s experiences. This is also similar to the male MC problem. Yes, in Hi3, they made it a canon storyline to erase the male playable counterpart of the female MC. And I’ve seen the hate Caelus, Aether, Wise and even Male Rover get by their respective communities because they like females better and would put female MC as more better. I’ve seen people legit call male Rover boring but failing to criticise the outfit situation, or lack there of, at the female rover when she should’ve been designed better too. Most hate for male characters and MC comes from the minority CN and western side especially the male MC hate. Asian side like JP are pretty much chill I feel like, with more interest in male MCs and male characters. There’s only been a recent tune change from western CCs after the debate started but before that, it’s a lot of ‘don’t like female characters, go to LADS’ rhetoric from the community, which is sad. I remember at least for WW, 1.0 launch had the frover event page and also frover default MC for depths of illusion realm even for mrover players. Just mentioning that in the official discord led people to basically dismiss it and get angry saying to go back to Genshin if we can’t handle seeing Frover in spotlight. In reality, it was just trying to shed the light in the problem was the erasure of mrover completely from the game at 1.0 in game, just put equal spotlight to both and don’t force frover model in game for mrover players. It’s died down now I think with Kuro marketing them both but it had been an eye opening experience.
I really do hope more 3D otome games come out. If something happens to LaDS with all the attention it’s getting rn(such as negativity and the greed of devs) then I’ll actually be devastated. I love the 3D art style that they have going on. compared to the other 2D otome games, I just don’t see it anywhere else. And the way they’ve built and wrote their characters is just so well done that i actually feel something. i want to keep interacting with the guys and not just fangirl to some drawings and pictures just because i can.

Personally after pulling Shorekeeper I'm skipping camellya and all other upcoming female units to save for Geshulin👌🏽. Feel he'll go great with my Changli since he looking like he may be fusion. Honestly I think a balance of male to female characters is best as I like to play with both. Especially since the game is designed to play with three characters at once with constant swapping play style. I would pull for jiyan since I wasn't playing during that banner but I know I won't have enough as I still want shorekeepers' weapon lol.

More often than not, characters are introduced during the archon story quest or in previous patches and have their lore develpped over years before release. I still know nothing about half the Wuwa cast :/. But yeah, I'm a husbando enthusiast, I almost always pull only for men, and Wuwa being my main game atm I'm very upset that we don't have even a new 4 star dude :( ... I might need a holiday from it to cope.

Excuse me? Low performance of male characters in PGR????? There's only 9 male names there while having 20 females. By comparing the two, sure, it may seem low, but it's not really that low. If only they would put out as much special skins for guys as they are making for Lucia/Alpha/Bianca fanboys they would see the numbers. The girlies would whale! 2 big male characters are soon getting S ranks variants on global servers. They will see the numbers properly then. Additionally, the other 2 S rank male characters were designed in a way that they are meta at base level already, so we don't even have the need to get more copies for better performance. Meanwhile, female characters are design in a way that their true power is locked behind getting more copies, which in turn, boost their sale numbers. China simply needs to get on top of the online harassment. They are not anonymous, they need to sign with their (idk how it's properly called) social security number to even access any websites and apps over there, so it's super easy for authorities to track these nasty people, yet they choose not to.
??? I played their other game PGR for a long time, there were never any issues people had with the male characters. I wonder if it’s just part of the Mihoyo fanbase that spilled over from Hi3/Genshin. Back when I played Honkai Impact, the CN players were toxic af. I stopped playing Mihoyo games because they just let the CN players have their way. In Hi3 the mere idea of introducing male characters being teased in surveys and the story angered the CN playerbase and there was an overwhelming amount of backlash against it. So it never happened. The CN community also prevented a bunny event from happening in the NA server as well as influencing Mihoyo to discontinue some swimsuit skins. There were also some other things like changing a character’s voice to sound more childish and changing the pose of an ult. Anyways, as a male player who usually plays for the waifus, it’s nice to see male characters as well. I’m happy that a game like LADS exists that sort of mirrors waifu action games and fully caters mostly to the female audience. Though the MC herself can cater to the male audience as well.
Honestly I don’t get this whole shtick about waifu/husbando cancelling. Like to me a character’s gender is such a superficial aspect compared to how they’re written and their gameplay. This entire situation is just being blown completely out of proportion.

woah woah woah first of all let’s not slander zhongli bc he’s supposed to be designed with the word simple in mind. his character isn’t fussy about appearances. he prefers listening rather than being seen and heard. it’s be better to compare geshu lin to someone, anybody else cuz genshin is FULL of shitty designs that don’t really make sense for the characters or their role in the story. zhongli is one of the few exceptions.

They are not anonymous, they need to sign with their (idk how it's properly called) social security number to even access any websites and apps over there, so it's super easy for authorities to track these nasty people, yet they choose not to.
??? I played their other game PGR for a long time, there were never any issues people had with the male characters. I wonder if it’s just part of the Mihoyo fanbase that spilled over from Hi3/Genshin. Back when I played Honkai Impact, the CN players were toxic af. I stopped playing Mihoyo games because they just let the CN players have their way.
In Hi3 the mere idea of introducing male characters being teased in surveys and the story angered the CN playerbase and there was an overwhelming amount of backlash against it. So it never happened. The CN community also prevented a bunny event from happening in the NA server as well as influencing Mihoyo to discontinue some swimsuit skins. There were also some other things like changing a character’s voice to sound more childish and changing the pose of an ult.
Anyways, as a male player who usually plays for the waifus, it’s nice to see male characters as well. I’m happy that a game like LADS exists that sort of mirrors waifu action games and fully caters mostly to the female audience. Though the MC herself can cater to the male audience as well.

Honestly I don’t get this whole shtick about waifu/husbando cancelling. Like to me a character’s gender is such a superficial aspect compared to how they’re written and their gameplay. This entire situation is just being blown completely out of proportion.
Love my waifus but dude …I heard about this and I don’t understand why in gacha games it gets this extreme . Don’t mind having good looking characters but to get turned on by pixels ….no thank you . I got over nikkes pretty quick still played the game but it was really whatever to me
woah woah woah first of all let’s not slander zhongli bc he’s supposed to be designed with the word simple in mind. his character isn’t fussy about appearances. he prefers listening rather than being seen and heard. it’s be better to compare geshu lin to someone, anybody else cuz genshin is FULL of shitty designs that don’t really make sense for the characters or their role in the story. zhongli is one of the few exceptions.
i want more male characters bc i want to play as a dude ! i’m not a woman and as much as i love the women in wuwa (yinlin & changli have never left my main teams since their release) i need more dudes like jiyan and calcharo ‼️havoc rover is too clunky for me gameplay wise, and yuanwu and mortefi are my best built sub dps’s but i need more male main dps characters 😭

No i wont because I like the game. I'm willing to whale on a banner with a dude on it. Just give me more characters I can choose from that don't have tits, that's literally all we ask for. Lnds doesn't have the same battle modes or mechanics, its not open world, and its a completely different type of game. What do irl men NOT understand about that???
having dudes in gacha games is beneficial for guys too, you have time to save for ur next female characters instead of spending every 20 days

Just started playing WW and it's awesome! FYI my team is all guys. I kept pulling until I got the "daddy" chara Yuanwu & I'm all over Calcharo (throwing the ladies in the back)... will wait patiently for Scar - and the redheaded researcher??
