I guess I'm one of the rare players who didn't bother with FOMO and take it easy and play slow. Day 1 player and I still have 5 digits Diamonds, F2P btw. My rule when playing otome gacha games: -Focus only one love interest. -You don't have to pull every banner. Save it for the rare occasion like Xmas/Bday. -There will always new Memories in the future. So why exhaust every resources? -FOMO is dangerous. oh also, never pull on the first day the banner is released, you'd never know they will hand out free tickets, as they did on certain occasions. This applies to other gacha games with these patterns.
Thiss because I feel like so many people rush through all the content and that’s not how you’re supposed to play these kinds of mobile games. They’re made to play a little bit everyday. Like I’m no where near done with the Deepspace Trials and slowly leveling up cards everyday. #1 rule of mobile gacha games and mobile games in general is to not play it like a real console video game, just log in for 30 mins a day and slowly play as a pastime.
I’m trying to do that, just focusing on my fav love interest and choose wisely what memories I get ❤ so as a f2p I’m doing much better than earlier in the game 😂 but I understand the frustration from others
@@summer6286 I read a post somewhere, quite old, there's someone who actually used up all her Diamonds for Energy for levelling up....kinda dumb tbh. My DT also ain't done. Zayne is stuck at 50 while the rest is at 30. My 2 highest level Memories are at 70.

I can understand if LnD is their first gacha games/have no concept of how gacha games works. But if they do understand and still couldn't manage their resources tbh then it's their own fault. they gave out an additional 20 free wishes and resources but they waited first before those in the asia server and cn whales are already done pulling. they made sure to secure their bags first 🚶🏻♀️
Literally, i was playing the game for a whole day. Even checking constantly every hour due to the fact I have multiple account. Those free 20 pulls came in the evening. Literally almost nightime when the game was updated early in the morning. You're so right about thrm.securing thr bag first😂

Not to mention the pity system is so weird, i pulled 60 times to get pity and i got it and instead of getting my precise wish (which was sylus) i got zayne 😭 like its already so hard to grind Everything and even harder being a f2p player..i think after making so many pulls they should atleast ensure the first card we will get will be of our choice :(
Have you already lost a pity before? If not then you’d have to lose a pity once before the precise wish kicks in. Technically you’d have to pull 120-140 times to guarantee the memory (precise wish) you want unless you get lucky early. It’s really painful to pull for multi banner 😅
I think the odds are 50/50. You have 50% chance to get what you want and 50% to get anything else. If you lose your 50/50, your next is garanteed. So if you are not garanteed, you need to prepare twice as much pulls.
@@audiem.7353 50/50 is for solo banners. for multi banners like this one it's 25/75. 25% for the card you want (precise wish), 75% for the ones you don't. it's tough out here.
As someone who’s seen Gacha games die or some cases take huge blows in revenue due to devs not listening it is key to a games long term success for Devs to listen to their players.Of Course it’s good to keep the Game’s Vision,but you have to listen to your playerbase otherwise when a competitor shows up that has a really generous Dev team that listens to its players people will leave quicker than Sylus’s shirt can be pulled up

One of the problems that I noticed is that no one would be upset with the multiple banners if there were RERUNS for them. So far, we haven't gotten a single memory banner rerun, so deciding to get the card really feels like an all-or-nothing in this case since who knows when they'll be free from the banner abyss. By the end of the day, what sounds fun with the 4 choices is really a choose one and let the rest join the abyss, unless you have that bag...then good for ya.
i bet we're gonna get reruns. every game papergames has ever released has reruns in them and i doubt they'd make LaDS an exception. this game is not even a year old yet, just wait a little. i'm sure it'll start happening AFTER the one year mark.
Facts...I spent so much money on this game its embarrassing! Plus, can we get old banners to come back? I am missing two of the Zayne cards that I want to cry. Don't even get me started with Xavier and Rafa...They need to make a re-run for those banners because I AM SO SICK OF THIS! The most irritating thing about the game , excluding all the shit with the banners (for which i 100% agree with your points) is that love and deepspace dont even focus on their content. Its been out for almost a year now and what progress have we made in story content? The 3rd version with who knows how many chapters will be out soon but including the previous ones we have like 10 chapters of content. WHY???? I dont know anything about other gacha games but for a game for which one of its main draws is it's compelling story, how much story are we actually getting????? I mean the boys affinity has been raised twice and our game level is still capped at 80. On top of that all of the nonsense with the banners. Its absolutely infuriating when i think about it. Regarding the post talking about why they wont update the story, i can only laugh. If they at least padded out the newer version (sylus's) with other stuff around the plot, it would have been longer.
I haven't done really 2.0 story, and I haven't done events since..... early 1.X. I log in every once in a while, but I am waiting for more main story because that is what is interesting to me. That's what I am doing for Reverse 1999, Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero.
I also find it strange how we barely have any story because I'm very familiar with the company. But I think it's because they have other games that make them more money and are longer-standing. These are the same people behind the titan that is Love Nikki. (I haven't played one of those games in years, so idk about updates there). But they also make MLQC which just got more story and has been going on for 5 years now. It's very probable that they're choosing to focus on these games over LADS. I doubt they'll raise the level cap though since the cap in MLQC has been 60 for years and serves no purpose beyond a certain point of the story. So I expect it to be the same in LADS. I dont mind it because I'd rather not get level locked out of content in what's essentially a visual novel.
@@novaminded I would think they have different teams working on different games, kinda like Hoyoverse have different teams working on their different games. I am guessing they are trying to keep the game going as long as possible, but to me it just seems like they just don't really have a lot of story planned. I am really not familiar how gacha otome work in general tho. I am more used to otome games on Switch/PSVita. That's probably why I am more interested in the main story than the events or cards, that don't take place in the main story timeline. I find it difficult to care. For gacha, I can only compare with the ones I play the most : Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd I play patch by patch, and the last 2 have either main story chapters each patch. HI3 has one chapter per patch, HSR had 5 main story patches for the last 5 patches (all 2.X patches). I can't remember for the 1.X patches.
@@audiem.7353 I play the ones you mentioned except for HI3 and I've also played a lot of console otome as well as otoge. But LADS and MLQC are the only ones I still play where the gacha is central to the gameplay. MLQC just released 3 new chapters and all their chapters usually have around 15 parts each. Comparing both of them to others that I've dropped, it may just be commonplace to not do a large bulk of story each update the way that games like Genshin, WUWA, etc. do. Maybe because they're supposed to be taken at a more leisurely pace? I don't know. MLQC is also a prequel to LADS and its still ongoing, so that may be why it doesn't feel like the story has a direction. And even with different teams for different games, I doubt they're all getting the same amount of funding. I will say that I far prefer the cards (karma) in MLQC compared to the memories in LADS. They have longer, multi-part stories that flesh out your relationship with the MLs the longer the game goes on. i.e. in its first year, you were just friends with the guys through work and now 5 years later you're in a committed relationship that has talked about marriage.
I am very much interested in the story and lore too actually. I had even mentioned about it in the previous survey they took. I hope that they turn their attention towards story too along with all the banners
I feel like it would be nice for them to add previous 5*s in the upcoming event shops, like how they do we 3*s, and with 5*s in the exchange: wishing well part of the shop. Or they could just add a rerun banner like Captian Cabinetz suggested. The game is still new and it hasn't even had it's one year anniversary so there is still room for improvement.
I've made 200 pulls. While I did get all 4 of the memories, my diamonds are all gone (wallet is also bleeding) and I'm probably not gonna have enough time to save my diamonds for Xavier's birthday event when it comes. Infold does seem to be getting greedy this time around, it definitely felt tougher to pull the 5 star memory cards (I'm that player who collects all the LI's cards, I love all of them). It is definitely getting harder to cope even as a "tuna" or a "dolphin" or "whale", (I don't know which category I belong to.) I really hope the devs listen to their players, otherwise I agree with you. They will lose their loyal players once it gets too exhausting on the wallets. We have real life obligations and can't afford to only spend our money on this game, no matter how much we love it.
I already quit the game once and have decided to do so permanently. It's an impossible game if you don't want to waste money. Honestly, I've spent too much money so far and I refuse to go down that path. It's very abusive towards its players. It's not worth playing anymore, no matter how nice it looks and how much you care about its lore. I don't think this will change, in fact I think it's something planned consciously to try to get more money. They don't care what we think.
Did you see them releasing 20 free pulls? There is a storm brewing from CN side and it seems the devs seem to be doing damage control. I also don’t get the pity system either. My friend lost to Zayne last Misty Banner so she assumed it’s supposed to be guaranteed Sylus through the precise wish, but she just lost AGAIN to Zayne. And then we realised the guaranteed is between the male leads of the event cards, not for the specific male lead. That puts forth what people have been saying about the gacha system, predatory. Gacha itself is predatory, but I understand now what they mean for LADS. And my friend is f2p, and she felt hopeless because she wanted to get Sylus as a F2P and she couldn’t. This is insanity. I spend money in the game, but even then there’s no way I can spend at short interval of banners. In Tears of Themis, as not friendly as LADS, at least has guaranteed that you can target for the specific male lead! I’m sad that this game is becoming what people call greedy and I hope they change. Also, I disagree with the post defending the company. Gacha games are a norm type of gaming here in Asia, but even then there’s a spectrum of TOO much gacha unfair and then a good balance. Otome games has always been one of the worst in the gaming industry for gacha, it is a fact. But that doesn’t mean you can use that as an excuse to be this short term with zero notice! Tears of Themis at least has some system where we get to know what to save up for. What to expect. LADS need to release a schedule, period. Everyone can be critical of a company and still love the game. I think people on the internet forget that you CAN be critical of things you love and it’s not negative. People have valid reasons to complain, even the CN community is complaining. Companies are not your friend. There should never be any emotional connection with a company and devs. Devs listen to keep relevant, devs don’t listen to keep relevant. It’s the same to them, don’t be too attached to a company. If you don’t like something they did, send a feedback and give valid criticism. If that’s negative, nothings going to change.
You have to lose pity from any memory of the promotional banner, if you lose from one of the permanent it doesnt count, so you need at least 140 pulls to get the one you want (unless u lucky and hit them before), but still is expensive and a lot to save with so many events coming.

@@starstarsparkles Precise Wish does not carry over to the next banner. Your friend had to keep pulling after losing 50/50 if she wanted to use her Precise Wish Point to get Misty Sylus. Sure she was guaranteed to get a limited character next time she hit pity, but because multi-banners make you pick 3 characters, she was guaranteed a random one. Wander in Wonder Zayne probably showed up, and now she has to grind gems to use up her new Precise Wish Point to get Wander Sylus before the banner ends.
@@VettiYo Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, so I was right then. The guarantee is across the male leads of the event cards she chose, not for a specific one even with Precise Wish. That’s what makes this whole thing unfair. In Tears of Themis, while they don’t have a precise wish, their guarantee is friendlier due to the fact they separate the male leads into their own banners when there’s a multi banner. It’s just how LADS chose to do this multibanner makes this whole thing really unfriendly and unfair for f2p. It just means that unless she’s lucky, she’ll not have the chance to get the card she wants without spending.

I feel like they need to give us an actual estimated timeline as well. Like, we only know when the birthday events are going to be and when they make an announcement we have only a couple days to prepare. If i knew that another limited banner was coming i wouldnt be pulling for solo cards unless it was a favorite character. Abyssal Chaos is a joke. I got 2000 deduction points in ONE play and only reached level 60. Hunters contest is infuriating as well bc i dont have the right color cards bc i dont have enough resources for every LI's cards. And Id love a rerun of past myth cards. I love this game so much but it IS difficult to save and plan when they leave their playerbase in the dark for so long anout whats coming up. Loke warn us a couple weeks in advance so we can plan better.
Thank you for covering this! And thank you for addressing (near the end of the vid) the argument about “this is just how it is, get used to it”. This is my first gacha game, and I’ve only been playing for a couple of months. And I’ve stopped participating in the subreddit because whenever I brought up the same resource issues that you did people were basically like “this must be your first gacha game because this is just how it is”, basic dismissing my feedback as invalid? Why don’t people realize that having varied feedback from many different viewpoints is anything but a good thing?! If PG wants to truly be revolutionary in the space as that person put it, then they SHOULD be taking feedback from more viewpoints than just gacha veterans who are used to/jaded by the status quo. I want to continue to love this game but it really does feel like we’re out here grinding for specs of dust, and I say that as someone who buys the monthly pass and some packs… I think I’ll be putting my card away for the next little bit until the dust settles on this uproar and see if anything changes. I love our pixel men, but I’m worried the game is going to fold and then what will I have spent my money on?!
I completely agree. Honestly I'm of the mind that the gacha community doesn't realize that a successful game is a 2 way street. If we don't like what's happening in a game, then we should have a say in the matter. But getting a collective to agree on something is much harder than a corporation strong arming a group of people instead. I mean just look at the different boycotts that have been "organized" by players. There's no consensus therefore no power. The only time it really works is in the CN community. But if we actually stuck to our metaphorical guns then perhaps we could make a change.
I just wish they paid as much attention to the main story as they do popping out events. I want to know the story as I'm not interested in events for two reasons, I can't afford it, and it's not technically apart of the actual story. It's like releasing DLC before the real game is out. I certainly hope it's not going to be crap because they wrote fluffy side content and forgot how the characters act in the main story. Just my opinion though.
This is so true. If I knew there was going to be a multi banner I wouldn't have pulled on the other 2. Now I haven't got the card I wanted and 15 days is not possible to get 65 pulls... besides, Xavier's bday next, so for me is like... I either get his one now or the bday one. Mind you, I spend... but pretty much like Hoyo games, the lack of in-game rewards is putting me off. I stop paying for Hoyo games, and I spend on Wuwa when they gave me a free characters. What they need to understand is that a satisfied customer will stay and spend, a upset one with quit, and when they do, they take a bunch of unhappy ones with them.
Grinding is the main reason that I quit Fire Emblem: Heros No way to pass the harder levels without all the power crept new pulls and combining them 10 times. Plus their currency got all convoluted with like 5 new types of currency for upgrades. Rafael is my main guy but I like Xavier and Sylus too. Zayne is just kinda there for me. I will only whale for fish boi 😅
I'm a low spender and I thought this would have been a solo banner. When it came out as a quad, I was utterly devastated and am becoming disillusioned. It's frustrating and imo unfeasible for quad banners to be monthly, especially when they add Caleb and whomever else. They don't give us enough ways to get diamonds, the diamonds they do give us are ridiculously low on higher levels of deepspace trials and while I loved Abyss Chaos, you saying it was only 1700 gems in total is insane. It helped me a bunch, but that's nothing for how long it ran and how many times you have to go through it to get the other gems from collecting stuff. They need to really, really throws us more than just one bone. Upping diamonds in general, for like doing quad banners letting you choose just two of the boys instead of three, quad banners being every other month, a road map, a chocolate increase, stamina increase, heads up when the free 5* cards come and making that a semiregular thing so we can catch our break is just a few things they could do so people wouldn't be so disillusioned and would placate the fanbase some. It sure would me! This game cannot survive on whales alone!!! Low spenders and f2p players make for a healthy, longing running game. Granted this is my first gacha so I may be pulling that out of nowhere, but I believe that to be the case. Just because it's a gacha doesn't mean it can't do things to make sure the game will last in the long run. I'm not asking for guarantees or a ton of free wishes, though I do think they need to up those for quad banners. The thirty we got this time was nice~! Granted it was for controversy but I think that should be the norm. But anyway, just because it's a gacha doesn't mean you can't put out how greedy they are being or how stingy they are with the rewards. I'm typing this as I listen and I'm tired, but basically I agree. And I'm so deeply sorry for my comments always being so long!!! I have thoughts and want to vent. Also congrats on over 1000 subs! I really wish they'd give us more ways of getting diamonds because it really is ridiculous how stingy they are on the grand scheme of things. Especially if they plan to release multi banners like this on the regular. I also don't think people realize how reliable low spenders are to the game. Yes they're low spenders but they're probably going to stick with the game on the long run thinking to themselves "well I'm only spending this much". A few bucks for aurum pass and the promise is not too much and I think a bit more stable because they actually help you out as a low spender. But spending for packs of wishes for a memory you might not even get? What's the point beyond getting the two cheapest packs if that? They do need to rethink their whole rewards/way to get diamonds or else people will quit because of how you grind for so little. Like, I love the game, I love the guys, but if it's going to continue being this greedy/stingy then I may end up quitting. I've been playing since around the beginning, I've spent a little over a hundred bucks and it's been worth it so far, but with a new LI and more to come, something has to change. Hey Gacha Goblin - great video - been lurking following your videos for a while. I didn’t download the game until after Sylus came out and I actually like the story mode and mini games the best. I don’t particularly care for the Photo Booth, clothing options etc. I’m an action/adventure and fighting game console player but what attracted me to LaDS was the graphics, storyline, so I wish there was more storyline expansion. Maybe like mini shorts - for example, where do some of the 5 star memories happen in the story timeline? Is it a side story of chapter 1-4 etc? Also, I wish that it wasn’t such a struggle to get diamonds for limited banners - I ranked up/upgraded so many 3 star memories just so I could get enough diamonds for Misty Invasion and Zayne’s birthday and that was it. Luckily I waited this long and didn’t really care to level up the other men so I was able to get those diamonds but now what? My resources are so limited. Anyway, great video, great points on the topics. I hope the developers listen to the community.
These are valid points and no game, especially no gacha game should be immune to constructive criticism. However, for the banners coming too soon, I honestly disagree with it being a problem because that is basically the only driving force for their revenue. If they give us plenty of time to save and prepare, most people wouldn't spend money and the game would die faster than at it's current pace cause they need that money. This is unfortunately how the gacha genre works..
@lora8166 ur very right! If they remain consistent with their pace of banner releases, they could at least give us more ways of grinding out our own diamonds, tho. Right now there is no balance in that regard. Because I dont mind grinding out diamonds and get ready for multi banners. I actually enjoy working hard for my pulls. I'd just appreciate it if i didnt have to spend over $100 as a dolphin to get a single card i wanted u know?

Yeah its pretty sad lol There are 2 currencies for 5 limited banner pulls. There are the Deepspace Wishes and then the Deepspace Wish LIMITED. The limited are only good for the current limited banner running and will turn into Standard wishes after the banner ends. It's a sneaky little trick they put in the game to stop people from saving pulls.
Kinda embarrassing on my part but of the 140 pulls I did, I only got one of the event banners. It was from the precise wish... and it didn't even feel good because it took SO many tries. I'm devastated and annoyed that I spent so much money.
me too but this is how gatcha games make money. I spent 150€+ and I’m not really proud of it because I know that I don’t need those cards and the story are posted here on youtube but I get a lot of dopamine when I pull
@@kirsch-pf6jx yeah but I’m kinda of the mind that just because it is this way currently doesn’t mean it has to remain this way. If the goal is to make money in the short term ok. They’ve accomplished it. But if it’s for the long term, it isn’t sustainable and the player base will fizzle out. People will be dropping $150 once, twice and most likely never again.
@@kristinamuras This is such an important thing that jaded gacha players don't understand. Some people just don't have that amount of expendable income to be dishing out on a gacha. No gacha should be pay to win if it wants a loyal player base. If someone spends that much money they should at least get 2 of the cards or 3. It's insanity really.

BUT an integral part of this community is… getting the cards themselves. It’s not the same to enviously watch others getting them posting their cards on Reddit or UA-cam. WE individually want to experience this as well. It then turns the community into something a little ugly… the stark contrast between the haves and the have nots. Even among those willing to spent $150 on an event. Which is not insignificant. To have people try and explain it to me that it is insignificant feels dystopian.
It would be nice if we all joined together to not spend on this banner. But I know it's hard to let them pass if we can afford it. I'm going to do my best not to spend. I was decided to get everything, but know I'm hesitating because it's not fair. And as someone says. This banner overshadowed zayne branch release 😢
You’re right, I’m still new. I haven’t complete everything yet and I am not F2P. I’m just now feeling the burn with this banner. Not sure what fish I would be but I spent over 50$ for this banner only with the monthly pass. Which is frankly too much for one banner for a couple 5 star cards. I got what I wanted which was Raf and Sylus. I got Raf twice then Sylus. The other cards I will look at on UA-cam. They need to fluff out the game cause at this point. I could get a spicy book with plot. Just replace the male love interest name with Raf and sylus for a fraction of the price 😂. All jokes aside, They need to for sure add more energy. I agree, they need a monthly or bi monthly announcement video on banners. To excite people about the game and give a small heads up on banners. Like other gacha games , at the end the day. They need find a middle ground. You aren’t going make everyone happy but were willing to spend money on the game. Make it easy to do so.
I had 60 tickets stocked and 10k diamonds saved And somehow i still had to use all of them to get the 1 card i wanted. Its absurd. Ive already pointed out that its ridiculous having back to back to back events.
I remember the previous limited event, Misty invasion,i got Xavier's card, ( which is what i wanted so I was happy) but then i also wanted Sylus ,i spent day and night collecting diamonds and i actually got a 5, star card of Sylus ,But wait ,i already had that 5 star card ,So i spent so much time and diamonds to get the card from the limited event,but instead when i did get one ,it was a card which wasn't even limited and all and i ALREADY had it in the first place,i was so bummed out honestly. I think the devs should atleast ensure that the players should get the limited cards first instead of giving cards that can be pulled out in the nornal deepspace wishes.
New to this stuff and won’t’ spend a dime.. but Hoesntly.. i find the fighting really boring and repetitive.. the story is ok.. but it takes so much effort to get through it and yes, there is a push to spend money otherwise you can’t’ continue unless you wait for very long periods of times.. I’ve exhausted all my diamonds and stuff.. and I’m just clicking around not knowing what to do since I’m just stuck.. the sylus part was really short.. and its now locked.. there is a lot of old content you can’t acess anymore.. and I’m just kinda stuck..
I agree with all the points you’ve brought up in this video and I had to hold back from that reddit user that totally missed the plot. Basically, Infold/Pepegames really need to listen to their customers and do something about it. Because at this point, their strategies are really coming across as scummy and money-grabbing, that it seems like not enough is being invested back into the game. They’re probably trying to break into that #1 ranking of gacha games profit lol What’s the point if you’re just gonna neglect the players that support your game and don’t retain loyalty from your audience. The game won’t have longevity if they don’t pick up their act soon since there’s not much love going on from both sides..
i will admit i enjoy having many limited banners within the month… reason why? cause they have event and story that comes with it. and let’s face it, the game don’t have much content to log in everyday to play. For me , i want them to add content or maybe small side story. and please let me play something else beside kitty cards-.-… i agree people should be mad.. The game does need to improve a lot.
If things don't change by the new year, I'll probably dramatically cut back or just quit outright. I'm hoping theyll do something for Black Friday, but I'm not expecting anything tbh.
I honestly feel the same way you do about this situation. I'm trusting and following the lead of people who have played otome and gacha games for a lot longer than I have. They know what they're talking about and they're trying to help the whole player base.
I suggest to always do your own research on the opinions of others. It's always good to have others to turn to for advice but that same advice can be given through a very narrow perspective. And this goes for anything in life really.
I really also hope that they bring the old limited events back, this way the people who already have the cards won't worry while the users who missed the first 2-3 events ( like me) can get those cards as well.
I wish they give us preview of upcomming banners. Not a few days before the banner releaseee. I want it like hoyo. A month before that? So i can think carefully
Here is what I think will happen: Limited banner, Re-Run, and Standard will be the eventual options. All of the banners are labeled limited to confuse people. I honestly think this isn’t being considered. You legitimately have to pick and choose as free to play. I DO think that we should have more opportunities for diamonds. This is necessary
Me too, I'm tired, I lost all my diamonds trying to get just 1 banner card (I lost more than 10,000 and not a single one) and even with the 30 free ones they give, it takes almost 70 to secure just 1 and I couldn't get any more, in the end despite spending on the aurum pass and the promises, the diamonds aren't enough to be able to do pulls, I refuse to spend more even if they get 5 banners out of their ass, my poor little fish, you'll have to forgive me but I'm not a millionaire.
I’m a dolphin. For this banner alone I spent 150€+ because I wanted Rafayel and Zayne. However I’m not willing to spend more in the future if they don’t give us more content to play. A gatcha game shouldn’t only focus on the cards but also the story! The pity system also sucks hard. I always lose to the same Zayne 5* standard banner card and I have that card at max level and ranking. I think they should give us a precise standard banner losing option. I also feel like that the story is so behind, sure we now get a Zayne branch but this should’ve happened a bit earlier maybe before Sylus was released because now everyone wants to know more about Sylus since he’s new but the devs focus on the other 3 first. It is weird ngl I will give them time to change things till the end of the year (my birthday is on december 31 anyway lol) and if they continue that cycle then I’m going to quit
This is my personal thought. I think this month may have been the most hectic for the devs as around this time of year there holds alot of holidays in Asian countries so there may have been alot of pressure on the devs to put out something special to commemorate the holiday time alongside their own personal scheduled releases. That being said, it may have been better for them to perhaps put aside the upcoming dawnbreaker memory until the holidays passed. (Could also be the reason why they made that 1 free to soften the blow of this wallet blackhole of a multi banner 😅)
All valid one hundo points. Devs HAVE to listen to the constructive criticism us as players give. It's how games get better. Relying on predatory tactics by itself hurts your game. There was a gacha called Crash Fever I loved to death,but it died due to predaory tactics, powercreep and hardly any story. Fire Emblem Heroes is going the same route. I understand the p2w part,but just keep it fair for EVERYONE to enjoy,and give us content,not banner Memories one after the other that turns the ones we just got irrelevant
I hope they can slow down the banner, do another 15 day give away to help low spenders and f2p recover and make the whale happy. They made similar mistake in their other otome game Mr. Love which contributes to its rapid decline since many whale left. Part of the reason is because of competition from light and night but the main driving factor is the company itself. Mr. Love is doing okay now but it won’t be able to reach its past popularity.
THIS! Mr. Love was my first game of this type. But what surprised me the most was that I could ALMOST never get cards from their Wish banners! The number of my cards from them is 2-3 on ALL THE BANNER THAT WERE BEFORE! Once I spent 120 wishes and got nothing! I spent 4000 diamonds nothing! Even during the birthday you have to spend about 1500 (if I remember correctly sorry if I remember wrong) diamonds! I looked into the game last time it was Lucien's birthday and there was a change in this case but for WORSE now you have to make 70 (?) pulls to get a birthday card!
I commented on that post as well. They do really need to fix their pull system. When I filled out the survey I mentioned it as well. They need to make the guarantees/mercy pulls for that specific banner. Sure, throw in other 5 stars but never on the mercy pull. I play EverCrisis and honestly their pull system is pretty decent. (They have guarantees within the banner plus a stamp mechanic. 12 slots on each banner page and stamps vary between 1-6. You roll and however many stamps you roll 1-6 moves you closer to the guarantees on the banner.) Plus the game is fairly generous with in game currency.
Im on level 75 and it is so difficult to grind for gems😭😭 if they wont do anything abt this then I might have to quit my 2 accounts and open another one to get memories for new banners
I’d rather they reduced the pity number. Tbh, if they release banner less frequently the game will be boring very quickly. But people feels like they are paying too much. What to do? I stopped playing another game called Nu:Carnival for this same reason. So many limited pulls, so little time. There ARE reruns, but they use a different pull currency that you have to pay to get. It’s just… yeah… I personally just started this game not too long ago, and I’m already feeling the grind fatigue-

They should make more story event than Limited memory event and also I think they should put a long lost limited memory come back everytime they start another new limited memory so we don't miss any of the limited memory (Just put the previous limited memory drop low than new one). i am someone who spends quite a bit of money on this game. idk if i would be considered a whale, but for misty i spent a a few hundred and for this banner i've spent 70 so far. if they continue this schedule of multi banners every month, i'm not sure i will continue playing. or at least i wont invest anymore money. this is getting ridiculous. all players deserve a chance to at least pull their fav without spending 40+ dollars. if they don't change the schedule, then they need to be more generous with the rewards and diamonds. i'm praying the devs take this seriously bc it is really not looking good for them...
girl day one player and low-mid spender here too. i sigh everyday and felt no excitement for the new banner although it is so beautiful. every point you mentioned is VALID. some players are complaining about us complaining. we want a game, and a game requires two way input, devs AND players. or they could kiss their investments goodbye when every player gets fed up eventually. i bet those who say we should be grateful are just saying that cuz they have the financial means to whale or are living in a high currency haha. imagine playing in asian currency for an asian game, but they expect you to splurge like you're earning USD.

How abt hving separate banners for separate love interests since we hv so many cards of them? Ya know, in hsr, they hv this rerun system where theres two banners: the new chara and the secind banner lets you choose between three characters. They could do smth like that. I know theres like onky 4 love interests in this game but with the amount of cards we hv of em and the chances of getting a 5 star rlly slim, I think this is a good idea imo.

I personally don't mind banners back to back, but I wish they'd announce at least a week beforehand when they're going to drop a banner- so that players can decide to pull or skip the current banner.
i only collect Rafayel’s stuff, i dont care at all of the other boys. I really hope they open up a trading card portal or a selling it off feature that way we can trade stuff to level up cards for the card we want with other players, etc etc. i think is a great feature to have in a game like this.

I don't know much about the system but I know what I'm feeling when the games are going down. I've played echoes of mana and it was a straining 1 year experience. It didn't even reach 1 year and by January they announced they'll shut down. The first month I noticed it was too grindy and material hungry and then on the 3rd month some vloggers reacting to it are dropping the game. When I see them quitting, I know someday it will😂 fail. This game makes you spend 2.7k crystal per 10 pull and 200 for a guarantee limited banner character or at least 1400 pulls to max rank a character from its dual banner since its not guaranteed to get a specific character but only the limited banner. You need to rank up character and weapons 6 times and weapons have randomised stats. Also level cap of characters is 100. And I'm feeling the burnout again with l&d. When I first play this game I know what I signed up for and even spend money coz it's good quality game. But the 7 and 14 day solo and multibanner threw me off. February I noticed all my pulls are in 60 to 70 pull before I get the memories it was to be expected but getting gems here are much less than what I got with echoes of mana but considering it was 200 to guarantee and l&d was 70 I said to myself it was OK. Edit: 5star is guaranteed at 70 but to get the exact card from the limited banner is 140. After rafayel's birthday and announce another mulitbanner that I expected since you know a white day event. I decided to save but it wasn't enough for guarantee when they announced the god of tides banner. This I felt the strain and said enough and only buy Aurum pass and not the events pack. I'm thankful for the xavier 5star rest and I saved til May when lumiere was announced and I skipped any solo banner in between. Lumiere 150 Master of fate 80 Entwined shadows 175 missed rafayel Rafayel 5star login event(rest and like xavier has dias and sylus event and abyssal chaos so I manage to saved 200 pulls) Misty Invasion 200 Wander in wonder 130 missed sylus, zayne and xavier. (Why missed even though early coz I don't want to pull anymore) I did like the details made into the banner but I wasn't ready to pull another one after misty Invasion without a new event like sylus and abyssal chaos. With the pulls I have I was guaranteed 1 limited memory (I lost 50/50 to a solar w/c I'm ok btw since solar are rare) you can see it was hard pity at 130. I'm your usual player who will have to reach 60 to 70 pulls for a memory. I'm buying Aurum pass and Heartfelt vow and the resources as a dolphin isn't enough what more if I became a f2p.
For me, both sides has valid points. We all agreed that this game is expensive. The graphic is amazing, almost everything are fully voiced and there are chats and others (the one where they keep on talking even if I turned the screen off is amazing). That's why I never have much of a complaint about the pricing and banners. Especially since I played fgo the gacha hell for years before stopped (yea, I'm a jaded veteran). This one banner however, planted a seed of dissatisfaction to me. I think it won't happen if they put at least around 2 weeks before this since I'd have some more gems saved by the time. My opinion is that there should at least be 2 months or more distance between this kind of banner, moreover with now 4 chara.. I understand that this kind of banner generates most money for them since I always puts more money to this kind of banner, but the distance between banners are ridiculous. For me, 3 five stars cards each month is ideal, 4 is pushing it, 5 is something I only wish to happen 2-3 times a year. Like others said, if they're being too greedy there will be some that'll leave... Including me. I stopped playing fgo and ensemble stars despite already throwing more than a thousand of dollars for each game (and still loving the game when I decided to stop) for the same reason after all. If they want to become a gacha game loved by their community, they can see pgr.

I got Xavier in 10 pulls. Then Rafayel popped up in 20 pulls. Then Sylus in 50 lol I spent $0. Did they fix the pity ???? 😂 I was actually gonna spend but OK. I'm not complaining.
I agree with you and that's why I quit after Misty Invasions. Their greed was obvious from day 1 (still have a screenshot of the first Heartfelt Vow, where they "corrected" the price upwards (instead of 16,98, it was 17.99). I'm not F2P at all, but I noticed my spendings gradually went up just to get that 1 (or 2) card with the multibanners and shady "precise" wishes. I won't support the game anymore, but I wish you all, who still do, the best of luck with improvements to come!
my only personal issue is just that I wish we received more stamina daily, I'm in my whole grind to beat the trials and hunters challenges, but its incredibly hard when I grind out dailies to just just all my stamina to heartbreaker and not be able to do much else for the rest of the day edit: I also think a fair way for infold to do something is to release one mulitbanner a month for the whole month, have a rotating banner for missed limited cards similar to the echo banner but the 5stars are missed limiteds, and only do solo banners for birthday events or the release of character-specific storylines.

I am saving my gems for Sylus only. When a Sylus only event comes out, then I will spend my gems. I was lucky enough to get Rafs Into the canvas on the very first pull but that was it. I will sadly have to pass on this one.
I got all the cards from Misty Invasion while spending like maybe $6 max on the discounted packs but to be fair, I started playing literally a day or two before that banner dropped, so I did have a lot of free resources available and leveled up quickly, but now I'm level 72 and I'm getting kind of stuck to where it does feel grueling to farm for minimum materials and can't even level up my cards to do more battles :c I absolutely love this game and I absolutely adore my pixel men too but I can't afford to spend more money at this moment, I lost my job. And I feel like you when you said people saying "well just spend money to get what you want" must be children that don't understand the concept of money and working for it while also having to take care of your expenses. Hopefully the devs listen because I don't want this game to flop, it has become my source of happiness 🥹

When you're fighting a hard boss that you can't fight in the deep space battle. In the time that you have in your last one should either be added on to the next. Are they at an extra 30 seconds on? 3. More ways to get upgraded materials for your 5 star or your memories in general. In more ways to get 💎 4. If they don't already have The battle outfits that go with the character. Should add a 10% for combat or 20 etc 5.in Abyssal chaos to up the diamonds to 20 or more 6.to up diamonds in battles to 30 or more 7. To give multiple Banners more time to save diamonds and space out on events for once a month

I guess I'm one of the rare players who didn't bother with FOMO and take it easy and play slow. Day 1 player and I still have 5 digits Diamonds, F2P btw.
My rule when playing otome gacha games:
-Focus only one love interest.
-You don't have to pull every banner. Save it for the rare occasion like Xmas/Bday.
-There will always new Memories in the future. So why exhaust every resources?
-FOMO is dangerous.
oh also, never pull on the first day the banner is released, you'd never know they will hand out free tickets, as they did on certain occasions. This applies to other gacha games with these patterns.
Thiss because I feel like so many people rush through all the content and that’s not how you’re supposed to play these kinds of mobile games. They’re made to play a little bit everyday. Like I’m no where near done with the Deepspace Trials and slowly leveling up cards everyday. #1 rule of mobile gacha games and mobile games in general is to not play it like a real console video game, just log in for 30 mins a day and slowly play as a pastime.
I’m trying to do that, just focusing on my fav love interest and choose wisely what memories I get ❤ so as a f2p I’m doing much better than earlier in the game 😂 but I understand the frustration from others

Have you already lost a pity before? If not then you’d have to lose a pity once before the precise wish kicks in. Technically you’d have to pull 120-140 times to guarantee the memory (precise wish) you want unless you get lucky early. It’s really painful to pull for multi banner 😅

I think the odds are 50/50. You have 50% chance to get what you want and 50% to get anything else. If you lose your 50/50, your next is garanteed. So if you are not garanteed, you need to prepare twice as much pulls.
@@audiem.7353 50/50 is for solo banners. for multi banners like this one it's 25/75. 25% for the card you want (precise wish), 75% for the ones you don't. it's tough out here.
As someone who’s seen Gacha games die or some cases take huge blows in revenue due to devs not listening it is key to a games long term success for Devs to listen to their players.Of Course it’s good to keep the Game’s Vision,but you have to listen to your playerbase otherwise when a competitor shows up that has a really generous Dev team that listens to its players people will leave quicker than Sylus’s shirt can be pulled up

One of the problems that I noticed is that no one would be upset with the multiple banners if there were RERUNS for them. So far, we haven't gotten a single memory banner rerun, so deciding to get the card really feels like an all-or-nothing in this case since who knows when they'll be free from the banner abyss. By the end of the day, what sounds fun with the 4 choices is really a choose one and let the rest join the abyss, unless you have that bag...then good for ya.
i bet we're gonna get reruns. every game papergames has ever released has reruns in them and i doubt they'd make LaDS an exception. this game is not even a year old yet, just wait a little. i'm sure it'll start happening AFTER the one year mark.

The most irritating thing about the game , excluding all the shit with the banners (for which i 100% agree with your points) is that love and deepspace dont even focus on their content. Its been out for almost a year now and what progress have we made in story content? The 3rd version with who knows how many chapters will be out soon but including the previous ones we have like 10 chapters of content. WHY???? I dont know anything about other gacha games but for a game for which one of its main draws is it's compelling story, how much story are we actually getting????? I mean the boys affinity has been raised twice and our game level is still capped at 80. On top of that all of the nonsense with the banners. Its absolutely infuriating when i think about it.
Regarding the post talking about why they wont update the story, i can only laugh. If they at least padded out the newer version (sylus's) with other stuff around the plot, it would have been longer.
I haven't done really 2.0 story, and I haven't done events since..... early 1.X.
I log in every once in a while, but I am waiting for more main story because that is what is interesting to me. That's what I am doing for Reverse 1999, Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero.
I also find it strange how we barely have any story because I'm very familiar with the company. But I think it's because they have other games that make them more money and are longer-standing. These are the same people behind the titan that is Love Nikki. (I haven't played one of those games in years, so idk about updates there). But they also make MLQC which just got more story and has been going on for 5 years now. It's very probable that they're choosing to focus on these games over LADS.
I doubt they'll raise the level cap though since the cap in MLQC has been 60 for years and serves no purpose beyond a certain point of the story. So I expect it to be the same in LADS. I dont mind it because I'd rather not get level locked out of content in what's essentially a visual novel.

I am guessing they are trying to keep the game going as long as possible, but to me it just seems like they just don't really have a lot of story planned.
I am really not familiar how gacha otome work in general tho. I am more used to otome games on Switch/PSVita. That's probably why I am more interested in the main story than the events or cards, that don't take place in the main story timeline. I find it difficult to care.
For gacha, I can only compare with the ones I play the most : Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd I play patch by patch, and the last 2 have either main story chapters each patch. HI3 has one chapter per patch, HSR had 5 main story patches for the last 5 patches (all 2.X patches). I can't remember for the 1.X patches.
@@audiem.7353 I play the ones you mentioned except for HI3 and I've also played a lot of console otome as well as otoge. But LADS and MLQC are the only ones I still play where the gacha is central to the gameplay. MLQC just released 3 new chapters and all their chapters usually have around 15 parts each. Comparing both of them to others that I've dropped, it may just be commonplace to not do a large bulk of story each update the way that games like Genshin, WUWA, etc. do. Maybe because they're supposed to be taken at a more leisurely pace? I don't know.
MLQC is also a prequel to LADS and its still ongoing, so that may be why it doesn't feel like the story has a direction. And even with different teams for different games, I doubt they're all getting the same amount of funding. I will say that I far prefer the cards (karma) in MLQC compared to the memories in LADS. They have longer, multi-part stories that flesh out your relationship with the MLs the longer the game goes on. i.e. in its first year, you were just friends with the guys through work and now 5 years later you're in a committed relationship that has talked about marriage.
I am very much interested in the story and lore too actually. I had even mentioned about it in the previous survey they took. I hope that they turn their attention towards story too along with all the banners
I feel like it would be nice for them to add previous 5*s in the upcoming event shops, like how they do we 3*s, and with 5*s in the exchange: wishing well part of the shop. I've made 200 pulls. While I did get all 4 of the memories, my diamonds are all gone (wallet is also bleeding) and I'm probably not gonna have enough time to save my diamonds for Xavier's birthday event when it comes. Infold does seem to be getting greedy this time around, it definitely felt tougher to pull the 5 star memory cards (I'm that player who collects all the LI's cards, I love all of them). It is definitely getting harder to cope even as a "tuna" or a "dolphin" or "whale", (I don't know which category I belong to.) I really hope the devs listen to their players, otherwise I agree with you. They will lose their loyal players once it gets too exhausting on the wallets. We have real life obligations and can't afford to only spend our money on this game, no matter how much we love it.
I already quit the game once and have decided to do so permanently. It's an impossible game if you don't want to waste money. Honestly, I've spent too much money so far and I refuse to go down that path. It's very abusive towards its players. It's not worth playing anymore, no matter how nice it looks and how much you care about its lore.
I don't think this will change, in fact I think it's something planned consciously to try to get more money. They don't care what we think.
Did you see them releasing 20 free pulls? There is a storm brewing from CN side and it seems the devs seem to be doing damage control. I also don’t get the pity system either. My friend lost to Zayne last Misty Banner so she assumed it’s supposed to be guaranteed Sylus through the precise wish, but she just lost AGAIN to Zayne. And then we realised the guaranteed is between the male leads of the event cards, not for the specific male lead. That puts forth what people have been saying about the gacha system, predatory. Gacha itself is predatory, but I understand now what they mean for LADS. And my friend is f2p, and she felt hopeless because she wanted to get Sylus as a F2P and she couldn’t. This is insanity. I spend money in the game, but even then there’s no way I can spend at short interval of banners. In Tears of Themis, as not friendly as LADS, at least has guaranteed that you can target for the specific male lead! I’m sad that this game is becoming what people call greedy and I hope they change.
Also, I disagree with the post defending the company. Gacha games are a norm type of gaming here in Asia, but even then there’s a spectrum of TOO much gacha unfair and then a good balance. Otome games has always been one of the worst in the gaming industry for gacha, it is a fact. But that doesn’t mean you can use that as an excuse to be this short term with zero notice! Tears of Themis at least has some system where we get to know what to save up for. What to expect. LADS need to release a schedule, period. Everyone can be critical of a company and still love the game. I think people on the internet forget that you CAN be critical of things you love and it’s not negative. People have valid reasons to complain, even the CN community is complaining. Companies are not your friend. There should never be any emotional connection with a company and devs. Devs listen to keep relevant, devs don’t listen to keep relevant. It’s the same to them, don’t be too attached to a company. If you don’t like something they did, send a feedback and give valid criticism. If that’s negative, nothings going to change.
You have to lose pity from any memory of the promotional banner, if you lose from one of the permanent it doesnt count, so you need at least 140 pulls to get the one you want (unless u lucky and hit them before), but still is expensive and a lot to save with so many events coming.

Sure she was guaranteed to get a limited character next time she hit pity, but because multi-banners make you pick 3 characters, she was guaranteed a random one. Wander in Wonder Zayne probably showed up, and now she has to grind gems to use up her new Precise Wish Point to get Wander Sylus before the banner ends.
@@VettiYo Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, so I was right then. The guarantee is across the male leads of the event cards she chose, not for a specific one even with Precise Wish. That’s what makes this whole thing unfair. In Tears of Themis, while they don’t have a precise wish, their guarantee is friendlier due to the fact they separate the male leads into their own banners when there’s a multi banner. It’s just how LADS chose to do this multibanner makes this whole thing really unfriendly and unfair for f2p. It just means that unless she’s lucky, she’ll not have the chance to get the card she wants without spending.

Like, we only know when the birthday events are going to be and when they make an announcement we have only a couple days to prepare. Abyssal Chaos is a joke. I got 2000 deduction points in ONE play and only reached level 60. Hunters contest is infuriating as well bc i dont have the right color cards bc i dont have enough resources for every LI's cards.
And Id love a rerun of past myth cards.
I love this game so much but it IS difficult to save and plan when they leave their playerbase in the dark for so long anout whats coming up. Loke warn us a couple weeks in advance so we can plan better.

Thank you for covering this! And thank you for addressing (near the end of the vid) the argument about “this is just how it is, get used to it”. This is my first gacha game, and I’ve only been playing for a couple of months. And I’ve stopped participating in the subreddit because whenever I brought up the same resource issues that you did people were basically like “this must be your first gacha game because this is just how it is”, basic dismissing my feedback as invalid?
Why don’t people realize that having varied feedback from many different viewpoints is anything but a good thing?! If PG wants to truly be revolutionary in the space as that person put it, then they SHOULD be taking feedback from more viewpoints than just gacha veterans who are used to/jaded by the status quo.
I want to continue to love this game but it really does feel like we’re out here grinding for specs of dust, and I say that as someone who buys the monthly pass and some packs… I think I’ll be putting my card away for the next little bit until the dust settles on this uproar and see if anything changes. I love our pixel men, but I’m worried the game is going to fold and then what will I have spent my money on?!
I completely agree. Honestly I'm of the mind that the gacha community doesn't realize that a successful game is a 2 way street. If we don't like what's happening in a game, then we should have a say in the matter. But getting a collective to agree on something is much harder than a corporation strong arming a group of people instead. I mean just look at the different boycotts that have been "organized" by players. There's no consensus therefore no power. The only time it really works is in the CN community. But if we actually stuck to our metaphorical guns then perhaps we could make a change.
I just wish they paid as much attention to the main story as they do popping out events. I want to know the story as I'm not interested in events for two reasons, I can't afford it, and it's not technically apart of the actual story. It's like releasing DLC before the real game is out. I certainly hope it's not going to be crap because they wrote fluffy side content and forgot how the characters act in the main story. Just my opinion though.
This is so true. If I knew there was going to be a multi banner I wouldn't have pulled on the other 2. Now I haven't got the card I wanted and 15 days is not possible to get 65 pulls... besides, Xavier's bday next, so for me is like... I either get his one now or the bday one. Mind you, I spend... but pretty much like Hoyo games, the lack of in-game rewards is putting me off. I stop paying for Hoyo games, and I spend on Wuwa when they gave me a free characters. What they need to understand is that a satisfied customer will stay and spend, a upset one with quit, and when they do, they take a bunch of unhappy ones with them.

No way to pass the harder levels without all the power crept new pulls and combining them 10 times. Plus their currency got all convoluted with like 5 new types of currency for upgrades.
Rafael is my main guy but I like Xavier and Sylus too. Zayne is just kinda there for me. I will only whale for fish boi 😅
I'm a low spender and I thought this would have been a solo banner. When it came out as a quad, I was utterly devastated and am becoming disillusioned. It's frustrating and imo unfeasible for quad banners to be monthly, especially when they add Caleb and whomever else.
They don't give us enough ways to get diamonds, the diamonds they do give us are ridiculously low on higher levels of deepspace trials and while I loved Abyss Chaos, you saying it was only 1700 gems in total is insane. It helped me a bunch, but that's nothing for how long it ran and how many times you have to go through it to get the other gems from collecting stuff.
They need to really, really throws us more than just one bone. Upping diamonds in general, for like doing quad banners letting you choose just two of the boys instead of three, quad banners being every other month, a road map, a chocolate increase, stamina increase, heads up when the free 5* cards come and making that a semiregular thing so we can catch our break is just a few things they could do so people wouldn't be so disillusioned and would placate the fanbase some. It sure would me!
This game cannot survive on whales alone!!! Low spenders and f2p players make for a healthy, longing running game. Granted this is my first gacha so I may be pulling that out of nowhere, but I believe that to be the case.
Just because it's a gacha doesn't mean it can't do things to make sure the game will last in the long run. I'm not asking for guarantees or a ton of free wishes, though I do think they need to up those for quad banners. The thirty we got this time was nice~! Granted it was for controversy but I think that should be the norm.
But anyway, just because it's a gacha doesn't mean you can't put out how greedy they are being or how stingy they are with the rewards. I'm typing this as I listen and I'm tired, but basically I agree. And I'm so deeply sorry for my comments always being so long!!! I have thoughts and want to vent.

I really wish they'd give us more ways of getting diamonds because it really is ridiculous how stingy they are on the grand scheme of things. Especially if they plan to release multi banners like this on the regular. I also don't think people realize how reliable low spenders are to the game. Yes they're low spenders but they're probably going to stick with the game on the long run thinking to themselves "well I'm only spending this much". But if that dollar amount doesn't help them AT ALL in a game then why would they stick around?

You nailed it on the head. A few bucks for aurum pass and the promise is not too much and I think a bit more stable because they actually help you out as a low spender. But spending for packs of wishes for a memory you might not even get? What's the point beyond getting the two cheapest packs if that? They do need to rethink their whole rewards/way to get diamonds or else people will quit because of how you grind for so little.
Like, I love the game, I love the guys, but if it's going to continue being this greedy/stingy then I may end up quitting. I've been playing since around the beginning, I've spent a little over a hundred bucks and it's been worth it so far, but with a new LI and more to come, something has to change.

Hey Gacha Goblin - great video - been lurking following your videos for a while. I didn’t download the game until after Sylus came out and I actually like the story mode and mini games the best. I don’t particularly care for the Photo Booth, clothing options etc. I’m an action/adventure and fighting game console player but what attracted me to LaDS was the graphics, storyline, so I wish there was more storyline expansion. Maybe like mini shorts - for example, where do some of the 5 star memories happen in the story timeline? Is it a side story of chapter 1-4 etc? Also, I wish that it wasn’t such a struggle to get diamonds for limited banners - I ranked up/upgraded so many 3 star memories just so I could get enough diamonds for Misty Invasion and Zayne’s birthday and that was it. Luckily I waited this long and didn’t really care to level up the other men so I was able to get those diamonds but now what? My resources are so limited. Anyway, great video, great points on the topics. I hope the developers listen to the community.
These are valid points and no game, especially no gacha game should be immune to constructive criticism. However, for the banners coming too soon, I honestly disagree with it being a problem because that is basically the only driving force for their revenue. If they give us plenty of time to save and prepare, most people wouldn't spend money and the game would die faster than at it's current pace cause they need that money. This is unfortunately how the gacha genre works..

Right now there is no balance in that regard. Because I dont mind grinding out diamonds and get ready for multi banners. I actually enjoy working hard for my pulls. Yeah its pretty sad lol There are 2 currencies for 5 limited banner pulls. There are the Deepspace Wishes and then the Deepspace Wish LIMITED. The limited are only good for the current limited banner running and will turn into Standard wishes after the banner ends. It's a sneaky little trick they put in the game to stop people from saving pulls.

Kinda embarrassing on my part but of the 140 pulls I did, I only got one of the event banners. It was from the precise wish... and it didn't even feel good because it took SO many tries. I'm devastated and annoyed that I spent so much money.
me too but this is how gatcha games make money. I spent 150€+ and I’m not really proud of it because I know that I don’t need those cards and the story are posted here on youtube but I get a lot of dopamine when I pull

They’ve accomplished it. But if it’s for the long term, it isn’t sustainable and the player base will fizzle out. People will be dropping $150 once, twice and most likely never again.

I tend to feel like I need to clarify that I love the game, want to participate in the community, enjoy the art and storylines. BUT an integral part of this community is… getting the cards themselves.
It’s not the same to enviously watch others getting them posting their cards on Reddit or UA-cam. WE individually want to experience this as well.
It then turns the community into something a little ugly… the stark contrast between the haves and the have nots. Even among those willing to spent $150 on an event. Which is not insignificant.
To have people try and explain it to me that it is insignificant feels dystopian.
It would be nice if we all joined together to not spend on this banner. But I know it's hard to let them pass if we can afford it. I'm going to do my best not to spend. I was decided to get everything, but know I'm hesitating because it's not fair.

You’re right, I’m still new. I haven’t complete everything yet and I am not F2P. I’m just now feeling the burn with this banner. Not sure what fish I would be but I spent over 50$ for this banner only with the monthly pass. Which is frankly too much for one banner for a couple 5 star cards. I got what I wanted which was Raf and Sylus. I got Raf twice then Sylus. The other cards I will look at on UA-cam.
They need to fluff out the game cause at this point. I could get a spicy book with plot. Just replace the male love interest name with Raf and sylus for a fraction of the price 😂. All jokes aside, They need to for sure add more energy. I agree, they need a monthly or bi monthly announcement video on banners. To excite people about the game and give a small heads up on banners. Like other gacha games , at the end the day. They need find a middle ground. You aren’t going make everyone happy but were willing to spend money on the game. Make it easy to do so.

I remember the previous limited event, Misty invasion,i got Xavier's card, ( which is what i wanted so I was happy) but then i also wanted Sylus ,i spent day and night collecting diamonds and i actually got a 5, star card of Sylus ,But wait ,i already had that 5 star card ,So i spent so much time and diamonds to get the card from the limited event,but instead when i did get one ,it was a card which wasn't even limited and all and i ALREADY had it in the first place,i was so bummed out honestly.
I think the devs should atleast ensure that the players should get the limited cards first instead of giving cards that can be pulled out in the nornal deepspace wishes.
New to this stuff and won’t’ spend a dime.. but Hoesntly.. i find the fighting really boring and repetitive.. the story is ok.. but it takes so much effort to get through it and yes, there is a push to spend money otherwise you can’t’ continue unless you wait for very long periods of times.. I’ve exhausted all my diamonds and stuff.. and I’m just clicking around not knowing what to do since I’m just stuck..
the sylus part was really short.. and its now locked.. there is a lot of old content you can’t acess anymore.. and I’m just kinda stuck..

Basically, Infold/Pepegames really need to listen to their customers and do something about it. Because at this point, their strategies are really coming across as scummy and money-grabbing, that it seems like not enough is being invested back into the game. They’re probably trying to break into that #1 ranking of gacha games profit lol
What’s the point if you’re just gonna neglect the players that support your game and don’t retain loyalty from your audience. The game won’t have longevity if they don’t pick up their act soon since there’s not much love going on from both sides..
i will admit i enjoy having many limited banners within the month… reason why? cause they have event and story that comes with it. and let’s face it, the game don’t have much content to log in everyday to play. I suggest to always do your own research on the opinions of others. It's always good to have others to turn to for advice but that same advice can be given through a very narrow perspective. And this goes for anything in life really.
I really also hope that they bring the old limited events back, this way the people who already have the cards won't worry while the users who missed the first 2-3 events ( like me) can get those cards as well.
I wish they give us preview of upcomming banners. Not a few days before the banner releaseee. I want it like hoyo. A month before that? So i can think carefully

I’m a dolphin. For this banner alone I spent 150€+ because I wanted Rafayel and Zayne. However I’m not willing to spend more in the future if they don’t give us more content to play. A gatcha game shouldn’t only focus on the cards but also the story! The pity system also sucks hard. I always lose to the same Zayne 5* standard banner card and I have that card at max level and ranking. I think they should give us a precise standard banner losing option.
I also feel like that the story is so behind, sure we now get a Zayne branch but this should’ve happened a bit earlier maybe before Sylus was released because now everyone wants to know more about Sylus since he’s new but the devs focus on the other 3 first. It is weird ngl I will give them time to change things till the end of the year (my birthday is on december 31 anyway lol) and if they continue that cycle then I’m going to quit
This is my personal thought. I think this month may have been the most hectic for the devs as around this time of year there holds alot of holidays in Asian countries so there may have been alot of pressure on the devs to put out something special to commemorate the holiday time alongside their own personal scheduled releases. That being said, it may have been better for them to perhaps put aside the upcoming dawnbreaker memory until the holidays passed. (Could also be the reason why they made that 1 free to soften the blow of this wallet blackhole of a multi banner 😅)
All valid one hundo points. Devs HAVE to listen to the constructive criticism us as players give. It's how games get better. Relying on predatory tactics by itself hurts your game. There was a gacha called Crash Fever I loved to death,but it died due to predaory tactics, powercreep and hardly any story. Fire Emblem Heroes is going the same route. I understand the p2w part,but just keep it fair for EVERYONE to enjoy,and give us content,not banner Memories one after the other that turns the ones we just got irrelevant

I hope they can slow down the banner, do another 15 day give away to help low spenders and f2p recover and make the whale happy. They made similar mistake in their other otome game Mr. Love which contributes to its rapid decline since many whale left. Part of the reason is because of competition from light and night but the main driving factor is the company itself. Mr. Love is doing okay now but it won’t be able to reach its past popularity.
THIS! Mr. Love was my first game of this type. But what surprised me the most was that I could ALMOST never get cards from their Wish banners! The number of my cards from them is 2-3 on ALL THE BANNER THAT WERE BEFORE! Once I spent 120 wishes and got nothing! I spent 4000 diamonds nothing! Even during the birthday you have to spend about 1500 (if I remember correctly sorry if I remember wrong) diamonds! I looked into the game last time it was Lucien's birthday and there was a change in this case but for WORSE now you have to make 70 (?) pulls to get a birthday card!
I commented on that post as well. They do really need to fix their pull system. When I filled out the survey I mentioned it as well.
They need to make the guarantees/mercy pulls for that specific banner. Sure, throw in other 5 stars but never on the mercy pull.
I play EverCrisis and honestly their pull system is pretty decent. (They have guarantees within the banner plus a stamp mechanic. 12 slots on each banner page and stamps vary between 1-6. You roll and however many stamps you roll 1-6 moves you closer to the guarantees on the banner.) Plus the game is fairly generous with in game currency.
Im on level 75 and it is so difficult to grind for gems😭😭 if they wont do anything abt this then I might have to quit my 2 accounts and open another one to get memories for new banners
I’d rather they reduced the pity number. Tbh, if they release banner less frequently the game will be boring very quickly. But people feels like they are paying too much. What to do? Reduce the pity number. People who wants to collect will still pay, the game wont be boring because of less frequent card release, but those who doesn’t play have better chance to get the card
I stopped playing another game called Nu:Carnival for this same reason. So many limited pulls, so little time. There ARE reruns, but they use a different pull currency that you have to pay to get. It’s just… yeah…
I personally just started this game not too long ago, and I’m already feeling the grind fatigue-
I been thinking one thing. They should make more story event than Limited memory event and also I think they should put a long lost limited memory come back everytime they start another new limited memory so we don't miss any of the limited memory (Just put the previous limited memory drop low than new one). If they keep making new limited memory, many fan will give up because our money not for this game only and we not rich enough for it forever.

i am someone who spends quite a bit of money on this game. idk if i would be considered a whale, but for misty i spent a a few hundred and for this banner i've spent 70 so far. if they continue this schedule of multi banners every month, i'm not sure i will continue playing. or at least i wont invest anymore money. this is getting ridiculous. all players deserve a chance to at least pull their fav without spending 40+ dollars. if they don't change the schedule, then they need to be more generous with the rewards and diamonds. i'm praying the devs take this seriously bc it is really not looking good for them...
girl day one player and low-mid spender here too. i sigh everyday and felt no excitement for the new banner although it is so beautiful. every point you mentioned is VALID. some players are complaining about us complaining. we want a game, and a game requires two way input, devs AND players. or they could kiss their investments goodbye when every player gets fed up eventually. i bet those who say we should be grateful are just saying that cuz they have the financial means to whale or are living in a high currency haha. imagine playing in asian currency for an asian game, but they expect you to splurge like you're earning USD.

I played everyday since day 1. I deleted the game now. This is my first gatcha game ever so I don't know what normal is but yeah im bored now. the boys are hot though.
How abt hving separate banners for separate love interests since we hv so many cards of them? Ya know, in hsr, they hv this rerun system where theres two banners: the new chara and the secind banner lets you choose between three characters. They could do smth like that. I know theres like onky 4 love interests in this game but with the amount of cards we hv of em and the chances of getting a 5 star rlly slim, I think this is a good idea imo.
I really also hope that they bring the old limited events back, this way the people who already have the cards won't worry while the users who missed the first 2-3 events ( like me) can get those cards as well.)
I personally don't mind banners back to back, but I wish they'd announce at least a week beforehand when they're going to drop a banner- so that players can decide to pull or skip the current banner.

i only collect Rafayel’s stuff, i dont care at all of the other boys. I really hope they open up a trading card portal or a selling it off feature that way we can trade stuff to level up cards for the card we want with other players, etc etc. i think is a great feature to have in a game like this.

Hoyo has Tears of Themis. I don't know if they're interested in doing another otome in the style of LaDS, but they certainly have the ressources.

I don't know much about the system but I know what I'm feeling when the games are going down.
I've played echoes of mana and it was a straining 1 year experience. It didn't even reach 1 year and by January they announced they'll shut down. The first month I noticed it was too grindy and material hungry and then on the 3rd month some vloggers reacting to it are dropping the game. When I see them quitting, I know someday it will😂 fail. This game makes you spend 2.7k crystal per 10 pull and 200 for a guarantee limited banner character or at least 1400 pulls to max rank a character from its dual banner since its not guaranteed to get a specific character but only the limited banner. You need to rank up character and weapons 6 times and weapons have randomised stats. Also level cap of characters is 100.
And I'm feeling the burnout again with l&d. When I first play this game I know what I signed up for and even spend money coz it's good quality game. But the 7 and 14 day solo and multibanner threw me off. February I noticed all my pulls are in 60 to 70 pull before I get the memories it was to be expected but getting gems here are much less than what I got with echoes of mana but considering it was 200 to guarantee and l&d was 70 I said to myself it was OK.
Edit: 5star is guaranteed at 70 but to get the exact card from the limited banner is 140.
After rafayel's birthday and announce another mulitbanner that I expected since you know a white day event. I decided to save but it wasn't enough for guarantee when they announced the god of tides banner. This I felt the strain and said enough and only buy Aurum pass and not the events pack. I'm thankful for the xavier 5star rest and I saved til May when lumiere was announced and I skipped any solo banner in between.

I did like the details made into the banner but I wasn't ready to pull another one after misty Invasion without a new event like sylus and abyssal chaos. With the pulls I have I was guaranteed 1 limited memory (I lost 50/50 to a solar w/c I'm ok btw since solar are rare) you can see it was hard pity at 130. I'm your usual player who will have to reach 60 to 70 pulls for a memory. I'm buying Aurum pass and Heartfelt vow and the resources as a dolphin isn't enough what more if I became a f2p.
For me, both sides has valid points. We all agreed that this game is expensive. The graphic is amazing, almost everything are fully voiced and there are chats and others (the one where they keep on talking even if I turned the screen off is amazing). That's why I never have much of a complaint about the pricing and banners. Especially since I played fgo the gacha hell for years before stopped (yea, I'm a jaded veteran). This one banner however, planted a seed of dissatisfaction to me. I think it won't happen if they put at least around 2 weeks before this since I'd have some more gems saved by the time. My opinion is that there should at least be 2 months or more distance between this kind of banner, moreover with now 4 chara.. I understand that this kind of banner generates most money for them since I always puts more money to this kind of banner, but the distance between banners are ridiculous. For me, 3 five stars cards each month is ideal, 4 is pushing it, 5 is something I only wish to happen 2-3 times a year.
Like others said, if they're being too greedy there will be some that'll leave... Including me. I stopped playing fgo and ensemble stars despite already throwing more than a thousand of dollars for each game (and still loving the game when I decided to stop) for the same reason after all.
If they want to become a gacha game loved by their community, they can see pgr.

I got Xavier in 10 pulls. Then Rafayel popped up in 20 pulls. Then Sylus in 50 lol I spent $0. Did they fix the pity ???? 😂 I was actually gonna spend but OK. I'm not complaining.
I agree with you and that's why I quit after Misty Invasions. Their greed was obvious from day 1 (still have a screenshot of the first Heartfelt Vow, where they "corrected" the price upwards (instead of 16,98, it was 17.99). I'm not F2P at all, but I noticed my spendings gradually went up just to get that 1 (or 2) card with the multibanners and shady "precise" wishes.
I won't support the game anymore, but I wish you all, who still do, the best of luck with improvements to come!
my only personal issue is just that I wish we received more stamina daily, I'm in my whole grind to beat the trials and hunters challenges, but its incredibly hard when I grind out dailies to just just all my stamina to heartbreaker and not be able to do much else for the rest of the day
edit: I also think a fair way for infold to do something is to release one mulitbanner a month for the whole month, have a rotating banner for missed limited cards similar to the echo banner but the 5stars are missed limiteds, and only do solo banners for birthday events or the release of character-specific storylines.

I am saving my gems for Sylus only. When a Sylus only event comes out, then I will spend my gems. I was lucky enough to get Rafs Into the canvas on the very first pull but that was it. I will sadly have to pass on this one.

I got all the cards from Misty Invasion while spending like maybe $6 max on the discounted packs but to be fair, I started playing literally a day or two before that banner dropped, so I did have a lot of free resources available and leveled up quickly, but now I'm level 72 and I'm getting kind of stuck to where it does feel grueling to farm for minimum materials and can't even level up my cards to do more battles :c I absolutely love this game and I absolutely adore my pixel men too but I can't afford to spend more money at this moment, I lost my job. And I feel like you when you said people saying "well just spend money to get what you want" must be children that don't understand the concept of money and working for it while also having to take care of your expenses. Hopefully the devs listen because I don't want this game to flop, it has become my source of happiness 🥹

2. When you're fighting a hard boss that you can't fight in the deep space battle. In the time that you have in your last one should either be added on to the next. Are they at an extra 30 seconds on?

5.in Abyssal chaos to up the diamonds to 20 or more
