Rover's next 4 attributes will likely have the same RES reduction as their Havoc and Spectro counterparts.
That'll easily be enough to make them a viable sub-dps for EVERY single attribute. Kuro is cooking too much with this MC.

@@Honed- Yeah rover have hidden potential. At first, I neglected her because I don't have time to build her and then I saw someone hit 300k damage with rover. I immediately decided to build her and guess what? I hit a whopping 100k damage

That 25% crit rate was nasty for a free unit.
its a completely useless stat to me :D unless you're in dark surge you don't have that crit, meaning you will be stuck with 70 crit IF you want to fully utilize that buff 75% at most.
while you build the concerto you will miss a lot of crits , it might be my bad luck but i miss a lot of crit with 94% crit rate on my rover -.-
if im at 70% i would pretty much miss every burst crit. So i was forced to give him as much crit as i could, meaning that 25% its a wasted resource , and i specify TO ME, there are people that probably always crit with 70% , so for them it will be a godly thing. not for me tho :/

Perform an attack with rover and swap to verina mid animation while pressing the BA button to generate one stack of her forte. Use skill and ult, then jump and boom, concerto filled
For Baizhi you have to use four BAs first before using her skill and then her ult to fill her bar
A strong MC is genius imo. For a low spender like me, the ability to clear hard content and claim its rewards was not easy in other gachas if it was even possible, and because of that, I got less characters, worse weapons, and a weaker account. With Rover and Xiangli Yao, I can worry less about scraping by with my current characters and actually look forward to new characters.
Rover is probably one of if not the best gacha game MC right now, in lore he is basically an amnesiac god, charismatic and a legend, all of that justifies why he is treated the way he is by everyone then is further supplemented by the fact he is a really good character used in combat, just how a true MC should be.
Despite that Rover is chill and relatable, speaking in dialogues and even sometimes having his/her own monologue adds more to Rover's personality, Rover doesn't need some dumb flying mascot to convey and progress dialogues on his/her behalf

i am new to gacha games as of this year. i am a rover main and enjoy WuWa more than any of the other 6 gacha's i am playing currently. my rover team is comfy enough to allow me to experiement with other teams and gradually build towards some more expensive progression. this is really what a mc should be.
didnt play a lot of gachas like you are rn but i played genshin impact since day 1 and hi 3rd, tof, hsr, pgr for some time and i feel like wuwa is my personal favorite gacha too

WUWA is acrually the first gatcha where i spent money because i felt the devs deserved my money. Kuro didn't make me feel like i was forced to spend.
Kuro just did what "other" (Not taking any chances) Gacha Games couldn't do. Rover is a Character which is OP and Balanced at the same time. With every element incoming Rover is only going to get even better. Rover is without a doubt, one of the best MC's in the Gacha Genre 🗿

What's really cool about Kuro Games' Financial Situation with all this is the fact that while they just offer us a strong Character for free, there is a sum of people who would Whale, anyway, just to show their greatfulness to the Game and its creators. Additionally, giving out a strong Character for free usually encourages the fact that their Limit Breaks may offer them to become even more powerful.
When it comes to Rover as a Unit in the Game, I do love Kuro Games for giving me a reason to use the Gacha Story MC, something I was not able to enjoy in another Game. The way they make Rover strong is what I love, too. Rover can be able to fill many different Roles as he/she changes Elements. Spectro Rover is great CC and DMG Buffer Partner while Havoc Rover is a pure DPS Character (but the Games many Modes would still make you need more than one DPS Character for some Challlenges). I always thought a Gacha Story MC Unit should be a Jack-of-All-Trades and I am glad Kuro Games gets to show me that. Hopefully the other Rover Elements may turn Rover into the other Roles among Units (such as Healer, Shielder, and Tank).
Whats even more promising to rover is that on stream kuro said shorekeeper would gain an exclusive buff ONLY if shes in the party with rover. Adding more value to our main protagonist.

When I first unlocked Havoc Rover, I wanted him to build him for the sole reason that he looked so freaking cool during Dark Surge state (I am a sucker for scythe users) and when he uses his Liberation. However, when I had decent enough stats, thats when I realized that Havoc Rover can basically delete almost every single enemy with one crit liberation. This was especially true back in 1.0 with some even saying that he can contest Jiyan in terms of dps if Rover is using a Danjin double Dreamless comp.
Havoc Rover back in 1.0 was what Jinhsi is to 1.1 with her enhanced skill damage and what Xiangli Yao is to 1.2 with his absurd liberation damage. Incredible nuke damage.

I like how you pointed out that the character actually being good in game, makes them more immersive in cutscenes. A huge issue I have with the traveler in genshin is despite seeming really strong and like their actions are shaping the world in cut scenes... they are permanently at the bottom of my "characters to consider" list, which just takes you out of the immersion. Must feel horrible for people that want to use primarily the traveler to keep with the lore of the game, but can hardly beat story mode enemies lol.
Lore from Hoyo is great but their execution of it is very poor, lacking even.
The strongest version of Traveler (raw dmg wise) is Geo. But even then the playstyle is very clunky since you're dealing with 3 geo constructs (perhaps 4 with the burst).
@@mr.edelweiss Tbh if they fixed the dialogue bloat(even tho I didn't really have a problem with it in Natlan, but it is probably only because I was too hyped to see Capitano), improved on their "show, not tell" and if it wouldn't be held back by the need of selling the new character, like 99% of the problems would be solved.
@@bencesilye4911 The story still has pacing issues, with some sticking out more than others. Fontaine's A3 was just painful to get through and Natlan's A2 drove me up the wall. I won't spoil anything there, suffice to say that if you tell me time is of the essence, let's maybe _not_ spend the next 2 hours further explaining how time is of the essence.
Damn, I wish Genshin's story presentation was more like ZZZ's with the voiced comic parts.
Rover is the main reason you can't make an excuse of "you can't clear content because you don't have the certain limited character to do it"
True, except for previous ToA Scar crazy spectro/havoc resistance, but you're expected to have built a 2nd dedicated damage dealer by this point, and everyone should have 3 standard 5* (2 of which were selected) and a free XY, that's still fair to say overall.
I just gotta say, you're a strong writer. This stuff isn't easy to crank out and your scripts sound professional and are well produced. Okay, I'm going back to being bad at Wuwu.

@@lekoknightgaming8071 I dont think so, 1.4 is the 2nd Phase of 1.3 Blackshore story. Camellya has a major role to be considered as a Filler patch. maybe they'll release his copy in camellya's banner because of their synergy (Havoc Damage).
I know the rover will be power-crept but man they're still fun to use. I have a habit of building MCs in other gacha and so far the rover is the most fun to use.
it will happen eventually as its the nature of gacha games. but what makes rover interesting is that she will be a stable and good free option for players later on at the game's lifespan as rover gets access to more elements. we only have 2 options and rover's already wild imagine if rover gets 4 options of elements to choose from

What I’m most excited about Rover is how they’ll play and look like when the other elements are gained. Havoc gains wings and scythe so who’s to say that he can’t become something like Roy Mustang from FMA when Fusion Rover comes?
The commandant in PGR is a badass self insert MC that the waifus fall in love with. Exactly how a gacha MC should be and Hoyo could never(even with all the fanservice in ZZZ, it feels more like being cucked when Jane doe lap dances on criminal in her interrogation trailer) Rover seems be close to just that. Male Rover ftw for us self insert, waifu enjoyers!🎉
Um i agree to certain extent but i wouldnt say thats how all gacha mc should be. For faceless self insert mc i can agree but for an mc we have a face for its no longer a telling of specific mc character's story. Plus as i like waifus as much as the next guy if all girls have simping for mc as there personality or most of their dialogue then they are bland to me. Its fact that yinglin doesnt care about the mc popularity is what makes it easier to appreciate her natural character personality should the mc not be looked from a self insert point of view

I have played many gachas but for me the best MC are Rover Wuthering wawes Kiana Kaslana Honkai impact3 and Lucia Punishing gray raven kuro's previous game that would be my favorite protagonists❤
Kiana is the only Hoyoverse MC who isn't a jobber in-game, it's a shame they went away from that formula.
@@saintontas That would be incorrect because Harmony MC in Honkai Star Rail is very powerful. They are a support character that can actually dish out high damage and has powerful buffs.
@@AzureDrag0n1 I'm not too sure but I believe they meant it from a story perspective, afterall Kiana isn't near the level of Rover gameplay-wise as she just gets many Battlesuits depending on story upgrades (like the Astral Ring OP coming soon), and you have to gacha for both her newest Battlesuit and newest gear

I believe you already answered your own question about why Kuro Games made Rover really strong.
When you talked about Spectro-Rover’s best teams, you mentioned Zhezhi, Jinshi, and Shorekeeper.
When you talked about Havoc-Rover’s best teams, you mentioned Camellya.
The Rover’s being good free characters doesn’t diminish the value of limited banner characters. They ADD value to the limited banner characters.
It takes quite a bit of time and investment into acquiring AND building multiple characters to use WITH your limited character teams, which can be exhausting. If one Rover is max level, all Rovers are max level.
Saying kuro messed up by allowing the main character to actually live up to his/her lore accurate skills through gameplay is pretty wild. I think most people would far prefer an actually usable main character than one that might never be touched upon being unlocked.

Ngl i just love that Rover has been one of the few gacha MCs where they've been incredibly consistent performance wise as well lore-wise.
We as players have a clear identity for them as we progress, and the people around them recognize Rover for who they were, who they are now, and who they will become.

This would incentivize Kuro to actually make the future versions of Rover very strong so people want to buy the skins. You only buy skins for characters you use often anyways.

@@saintontas While paid skin is great I do wish it's not paid especially for rover when he and she gets another power up, having it a default skin form would probably bring a lot players to play rover more.
The paid skin would be best for other characters that aren't like our rover.
This is one of main reasons I feel excited about plaing the game. Finally someone did justice for main character (which is also representing us players) I hope they will keep up with this kind of progress.

Hopefully, 1.3 will have 2-3 Havoc Sequences somewhere in it, so that Havoc can shine over Spectro. Spectro Rover might also become even less prevalent because Illusive Realm might be no longer a thing anymore.
Basically keeping the Main Character as what a Main Character supposed to be, and so the story can revolve around the our MC and move forward with everything. Like console games MC, you as the player who plays as the main character, not a sidekick or something.

Whenever I'm exploring Huanglong, Rover is the character I use the most because it feels natural and she's very much viable for nearly everything in the overworld.

Ultimately, the main character being strong is very good for the game. It's more emersive to have your main character good enough to fight alongside the gacha character ingame.
I always enjoyed building my MC but all my friends laughed at me for it until WuWa came out and they all started building Rover. They are just so good! I love it

We had MC in Granblue Fantasy 24h everyday never leave a single time in anyone party since launch till now for almost 11 years.
Why? Because MC can use all weapon, all element and have a flying emergency food buddy. MC had exclusive mastery passive that increase whole party hp, atk or damage and also had access to multiple classes where increase mc stats and amount of skills share across classes when you max the classes, developer still adding new classes every patch. (all free and very super easy to unlock)
MC is the only character that can buff, heal or protect other players party characters, this is why it was very important in many hardest boss raid, where maximum of 6 players you want people rotating the shield buff to avoid getting 1 shot by boss.
MC can be anything you want dps, healer, tank, buffer which makes MC the strongest in the game since you start the game until now.
MC had the most skins ingame that you can get them free from events and Yes you can also switch gender on MC anytime you want with no cost.
For those who did played the story will mostly get blow away by the amount of stories this game had and how amazing of the story is because everything is fully voiced by Japanese VA, mostly the anniversary stories are the top notch longest story every year. (around 6-8 hours long, a lot of tissues and buckets of tear that you will never experience in other jrpg stories before)

Strong MC it a thing that I like the most in Wuthering Waves. Imagine returning to a game after a break and still have meta character - MC.

4:00 You definitely got confused in there. It is Verina the one who is absolutely useless in the field.
Her intro in mid air sucks.
Her attacks are totally hopeless.
Her healing requires her to eitherbslide or attack while in the air.
And you basically just want her outro to buff the team.
Meanwhile, Baizhi can heal at will with her Skill, charger her Forte in 4 hits, and can even increase her own concerto AND heal the whole party even when she is not engaged in combat.
Baizhi can ensure that you will always enter every combat with full health and full Concerto to cast the bell and switch out every single time. Guaranteed.
I didn't realize Spectro Rover could be a team-wide healer... oh the possibilities! That's why I love this channel. :)
"You don't need to build Baizhi" - technically true. She's the first healer I built and I've never been disappointed. Of course Verina is better, but Verina can't be on every Tower team either.
I am happy with my Havoc Rover. I would consider to build spectro rover after Shorekeeper.

Now i am kind of hoping u will make a video talking how the MC is handled in the story because Hoyo clearly doesn't give a crap about their MC, turning them into a side character like how this recent 2.5 did, just doing grunt work instead of fighting the main boss, i was so pissed off at tht.
And also its been more than a year, yet we barely have any kind of development about the trailblazer meanwhile in just 3 versions (1.0, 1.1 and the upcoming 1.3), we are already learning about the Rover more than the trailblazer.
Lets just say kuro is slowly convincing me to leave HSR because i am getting tired of Hoyo's crap.
You're right, I've played a lot of gachas but the MCs aren't even mediocre because of how bad they are. The traveler doesn't matter in the game, they just give him titles but it doesn't matter that they help him in the end.
Caelus I played Star Rail but I still wasn't interested. The MC speaks but his personality isn't good and he seems retarded.
Wise ZZZ speaks but his personality is generic. It's already been seen in anime, nothing new.
Definitely a lot for us to break down when it comes to the newer stories. I haven't really caught up with HSR since 2.3. since the gameplay got overwhelmingly stale, but I should be able to do some quick story overviews to get a feel.
Hoyo storytelling is always centered around other characters instead of the main character because of gacha implementations.

tbf the 2.5 patch is like an internal conflicts between power forces in Xianzhou, so the MC standing aside is understandable, considered that said conflicts have been going on for years and Jing Yuan was kinda tired of it so he decided to loosen the tight to take the chance and scrub them all.If the XZ needs an outlander to solve their problem then their governments are basically useless lmao.
Im so impressed with the MC form this game.. Her backstory of appearences in the past. that shes an entity that can rival any boss in game by lore. and shes not really a human, she may be a taccid or some demi-god/avatar of a goddess.. Thats not counting on how great it is, for she plays exactly like a 5star standard. They didnt water her down like MCs in other games when their just 5star in name only but they really just play as 4stars. Unitil Jinhsi came for me to pull on a limited DPS, Havoc rover was my only DPS. I pulled Jaixin on beginner banner, and used my pick for Verina. Ive not failed a 50/50 yet, so I dont have Lingyang :3. So having Havoc rover lead my DPS the whole time then was just so nice. I went and threw some money in the game and pulled on Emerald of stars for her. I got it R4 now ? Pulled it 4 times and used my box pick on it.
I've played ZZZ, and the MCs have no involment other than story. I didnt like the female design of Bella, Something was off about her. so I went with Wise, he seemed cooler of the two. I played Genshin 4 years ago and Lumine hit like a wet noodle (even tho she is kinda cute). Only a little better than Amber really. Ive considered trying HSR, but I know im just going to be disappointed in the MCs being lackluster. Kuro has spoiled me now, what it means to have a great MC in the game for me to use. Also Rover is one of the hotest characters in game. I love it when she acts cold too like a kuudere. Me and cameylla share that in common :3
Greatest thing about rover I love the most.. The two times shes gotten "serious" her eyes lit up yellow and I swear her eyes turned into taccid marks. Just like Abby. Pure baddassary
Anyway, enough simping for the MC.. But its been the highlight playing Wuthering waves for me. Ill continue to spend money in this game.

Correct definition of Main character.
I mean, we have plenty of gachas that handicap the MC, and forces you to adapt to seasonal releases of new characters and their quirks. Wuwa gives you an adequate MC experience.
When the MC is actually MC-ing
All I ask for now is a Rover skin/redesign. They're already pretty, but they should make them more visually appealing and less basic if we're gonna see them in the screen that much, wether in story or combat.
I just hate male Rover's lack of details and poor female Rover wearing something that is completely not fitting for her position just for fan service 😭 They don't have to outshine limited characters, just something good to look at

This is also one of my biggest pet peeves of Genshin. Like, I want to play the main story bits with Traveler, but I feel so handicapped and takes forever to clear the easy content compared to my 5stars.

There's really no argument that Havoc Rover's last three nodes are insanely powerful. Just by reading it alone makes me more excited on how it would perform on other up coming contents

I appreciate the recognition of Rover being good, but I want to clarify that I fully 100% believe that Kuro fully intended Rover to be good. They knew they had to pull people from Genshin, and having the literal protagonist and free character being **actually good** is a great way to differentiate themselves from Genshin and pull its players away. I guarantee you they didn't mess up - this was an intentional move.
I absolutely don’t think that Kuro messed up with that.
After all most players will pull characters based on their affection and looks more than their power. As long as Kuros limited characters are strong enough and look good people will allways go crazy on them.

With coming Shorekeeper's specific buff for Rover he ir she will be much more valuable
