The thing that bothered me the most about the movie was the zombies avoiding the sick but at the same time happily throwing themselves off skyscrapers, why didn't they just trample the sick instead of parting like the red sea to Mosses?
Or why do they even care about a sick host? Their hosts can keep going even riddled with dozens of bullet holes and limbs hacked off. Is someone having gonorrhea really going to be a concern for it?
It is something about the virus not wanting to contract another virus that could destroy its host. No idea about the cancer though. Maybe the virus sees cancer as a spreadable disease too.

The one scene of this movie I liked was when they lured the zombies to an arena then just bombed them. Zombie hoards are dangerous but easily defeatable. That's why most zombie movies have to show government and military breakdowns to heighten the tension.
Back at it again. Keep up the great work! I really wish this movie stuck with the novel. Imagine an anthology film(or series) showing how different parts of the world and different people deal with the apocalypse.
You forgot to mention that the virus in the movie is very different from the one in the book. In the book, the zombies are very much the classic romero type shamblers that will eat prey down to the bones if not distracted even though they do not require sustenance. It really deserves a Contagion style movie, where everything about fighting the virus is dissected and the crucial and interesting details are shown. The best part about its depiction of multiple narratives is you get to see the effects outside of one individual, you get to see the doctor treating "Patient Zero" and the first incidents that grabbed the globes attention, to the very end showing how the post zombie war world is very much different. Heck there's even a guy who tells his story from on the ISS, like how could the movie not use that-

The novel never actually calls the infection “Solanum” by name. It’s assumed to be the same virus as in The Zombie Guide by the same author because of mirroring the same symptoms and behaviors. The novel version zombies couldn’t be more different than the film.
In the Books, the Zombies weren't moving "fast" or do I remember it wrongly? Because, I think to remember the "Account" which described why it was a special challenge to fight those "Slowly moving Waves which regardless of the circumstances simple advanced" which caused, at first, the Soldier to panic and so on.
Your right, which is another reason why I can't understand why people keep praising the book over the movie. Nobody cares about slow moving zombies. You can just walk around them like they do in the walking dead. The whole idea just completely eliminates any sense of fear
@@MsDragonbal776 The Book was pretty good and I personally enjoyed it more than the Movie. Actually, something which approaches slowly gives a whole different vibe. Which can cause panic. I mean, livin' Dead. Not really something people are used to.

I believe that the best way this kind of movies to be accurately and lively depicted, would be to become animated like the Resident Evil animated movies. No drama between actors aging or contract scuffles, just pure animated action.
Honestly feel like people such as Karens or anyone who doesn’t respect quarantine protocols could count as the mindless and violent monsters in this film
But you have to understand that the reason the sequel was cancelled since 2019 is because the chinese government banned any movies featuring zombies, ghosts and other monsters which instead caused paramount pictures to instead never released a sequel to world war z movie.

@@Cipher_Nine oh absolutely! As much as I love the slow menacing zombies, the running feral type zombies or infected are just as if not more terrifying than the shamblers
The one scene of this movie I liked was when they lured the zombies to an arena then just bombed them. Zombie hoards are dangerous but easily defeatable. That's why most zombie movies have to show government and military breakdowns to heighten the tension.
In the books bombs, explosions and shrapnels are ineffective against the undead, it doesn't even kill them

And infection is a lot slower, though it depends on the bite's distsnce from the brain.
Niyat, I absolutely love your content, Grenada was on tropical storm warning yesterday and my biggest worry was I couldn’t watch filmscomicsexplained today much love from the spice isle
I feel like someone ha the idea of the zombie tower and they lost sight of everything else they could've used from the book, my personal favorite being the comparison of the Battle of Yonkers to the later battles.
Heck there's even a guy who tells his story from on the ISS, like how could the movie not use that-
This seems like one of the more realistic zombie movies
The likelihood of a virus is far higher then any other type of zombie and there evidence of Russia and China and both Britain and the us have been exspermenting with gmvs (genetically modified viruses) there have of course been many predictions for a zombie apocalypse
It spawned a game that was L4D2 on steroids. It is pretty intimidating.
Realistic as in how the world governments would react? Or the virus? Cuz if its the virus then id say you’re wrong.

They never do...
China people have learnt and that’s why they can recover from covid 19 so quickly and effectively. USA has not learnt from SARS, or better say, they have no intention to learn. CIA spreaded covid 19 in China in late 2019 but unluckily they could not control the virus from returning back to US.
The irony....so much irony.
I legit laughed out loud when be said the solamun virus was inspired by sars which is closely related to covid
How is it irony
@@universenerdd because the way this story relates to modern times at the moment is very similar. The chinese government weren't honest about the outbreak in the novel- just like how it was with the covid 19 outbreak.

Great video man, and i really love the new intro😊
The novel never actually calls the infection “Solanum” by name. It’s assumed to be the same virus as in The Zombie Guide by the same author because of mirroring the same symptoms and behaviors. The novel version zombies couldn’t be more different than the film.
Imagine being hyped when a zombie apocalypse *really do* happen, but get bit 5 minutes later.
*fuccccccccccc*
And the issue with "Slow Movin' Zombies" is kinda more complicated because they don't need sleep, aren't stopped by injuries and weren't even stopped by the lack of oxygen.
It's simple different.
Actually, something which approaches slowly gives a whole different vibe. Which can cause panic.
I mean, livin' Dead. Not really something people are used to.
I like how formal this guy is with his intros and outros.
It would be interesting to hear you cover Element 115 from the Call of Duty Zombies games
Yes! This movie’s end was way too rushed. I was hoping it left us with a more open ending and not a cupcake snippet of how humanity was beginning to fight back. I wanted to see the actual build up of how survivors were going to cope with reclaiming their world
thats like every zombie movie though. we never get too see humanity winning against the zombies in these movies
@@ernestogastelum9123 it’s not really realistic for us to win maybe adapt but I don’t think you could win especially if it’s like the walking dead (gAme) where u are already infected it activates when u die. Maybe they’ll inject a poison in people brains when they die?

I believe that the best way this kind of movies to be accurately and lively depicted, would be to become animated like the Resident Evil animated movies. No drama between actors aging or contract scuffles, just pure animated action.
Honestly feel like people such as Karens or anyone who doesn’t respect quarantine protocols could count as the mindless and violent monsters in this film

I bet you would love to hear that they made a game based on the movie, and it has more world building, lore, characters and even different varieties of those infected by the virus. Maybe you can do a part 2 to this based around the game.
And they recently updated the game that has more characters and two new locations as far as I know.
They should've made it into a TV series, with each episode dedicated to each interviews.
And each season the chapters
I'd never read nothing on this, so I assumed it was a virus that took over the brain, and worked kinda like rabies. That it's an undead virus kinda kills it for me. That said, I still enjoyed the movie, and was hoping for more. I'm happy they left the undead crap out of it. Considering a rabies-like virus is actually possible, would be nice to see a movie, or tv spin like that.
or ya know, just read the book which is a million times better than the movie. only thing that made the movie fun to watch was that the zombies were full break neck speed virus transmitters never slowing or stopping for anything. which they had to do to grab your attention.

also China has been a cesspool of viruses as it has high urban density since ancient times, allowing spreading of viruses to be accelerated.
