The deisel engines in this vehicle are incredible! We have this exact vehicle in the XL format and on highway driving get as much as 43 miles per gallon. This is a great engine. Not sure why we do not see more small deisel engines in the USA?
Not certain but is it more pollutant?
Diesel
@@drystackdogs1615 thanks mom.
43? how? 43mpg for how long? The best avg I had was 28 mpg on highway. typical 24-26 mpg
@@onlywisemanYeah 43 sure does sound like a stretch… highly doubtful
Thank you Ben. It is interesting to see the GMC Yukon and all the features and luxury items offered. The fuel economy is great for the size and weight of the vehicle. That price... that is another story for another day.
Absolutely gorgeous. I hope the market returns to a place where we can get these for 15-20% below MSRP. Shoot, It would be nice if all new vehicles got back to that. Thanks for the review!
Just buy a cpo one with 1 year old max and you’ll have the same warranty as brand new but about 10-20k less
Great video as always. Man, I love the mountains in the background! I just picked up a 2023 Suburban High Country with the 3.0 Duramax for the family car and we love it. Our first diesel and I have to say, I am very impressed. I get 30mpg highway with the family in it and 21 city. Not bad for a SUV that tips the scales at over 6,000lbs. I'm coming from a 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage and though you can't beat the reliability of the LC, America just does full-size SUVs better in my opinion. with the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, I'm not too worried. Even with the third row up, the cargo space feels never ending. Toyota really messed up in this area when it came to the new Sequoia.
Greetings Benjamin.
The SUV of the lustrum! 😮
Perfect miniDuramax, you did it well GMC!! 😊
My dad bought a 23 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate after owning an 08 Yukon Denali with zero issues. Only other vehicle he was looking at was MB. You can’t tell me a MB from 08 would have had zero issues.
Diesel engines are indestructible
I'd love to get the Denali Ultimate, but I really want the Night Vision that comes with the Escalade. It works great in blizzards and bad fog to see vehicles in front of you, and of course, to see Bigfoot better. I wish the Ultimate came with a black leather option instead of only that brown too, though as far as brown's go it is a nice one.
So when can we get that panoramic moonroof in the pick up trucks that are similarly priced?
This is beautiful, the more often I see it, the more I want one. A question. Can a larger cold air intake be put under the hood with this diesel like it could with a v8, and would it offer a similar increase in power and mpg? Or does that just not work with a diesel? I'm hoping it might help with the higher altitude of ski country here in Utah. And your reference to Wallsburg, I think that is down near or just past Sandy, do you know how long a drive it would be from there to say Alta or Solitude to go skiing? Oh, and I heard that the improved diesel comes in the 2025 model year, 305 hp and 490 torque I believe. Nice.
I’ve been researching that for weeks and from what I can find out there really isn’t anything you can do to improve that engine which is already great. If you get the 3.0 Duramax you want the LZ0 which came out in 2023. It’s the improved one with 305hp
Amazing Yukon in a good way. Amazing price in a bad way. 100k for these is just nuts.
I like it better than the Escalade - i never liked those long crazy tail lite’s. - the diesel is an excellent motor. Might get the Denali without the ultimate ? Gonna go check the 2 out .
The escalade got amazing paint and massaging seats tho
Gmc denali ultimate diesels are my favorites
Ok, I would like to see more diesel vehicles. They get so much better mpg
Do the Escalade Denali comparison I'm trying to decide
I love my Diesel Denali with the exception of the seats. The seats are not comfortable for medium to long drives! I hope they improve the seats moving forward, if not this will be my last one.
2:11 the brown box contains the headphones for the rear entertainment system.
That's one good looking SUV and it has a diesel.I can see truck drivers probably rocking this vehicle.
They counldn't afford it
@@gregoryunderwood4121Exactly. Not many could, regardless of profession
Gmc built a awesome suv love the interior TV in the front seats cool suv
5:09 it only has the 1 stalk because a second one on the other side would interfere with access to the touch screen and PRND controls.
Looking at this 3.0 Diesel... does it require the DEF fluid. Friend has a nice truck but the DEF sure ads to his fuel bill... if required, how much does it ad to a gallon of gas? Thanks.
2.5 gallon DEF fills up about 80% of DEF tank.. it was about 20 bucks in a local gas station. once full, it typically lasts about 4-5k miles.
Diesel is not cheap, but i go to gas station much less often.
Diesel smells bad and lingers around if i touch it. I smell like a professional mechanic.
@@onlywiseman We have Denali duramax. Diesel fuel prices really fluctuate. Right now it is lower than high test which I use in my regular combustion engine only I get way better gas mileage with my diesel. I grew up with diesel. They are the best. Engines last longer. The fake "diesel gate" years ago with Audi and VW were to shove EV's down our throats. They had to villainize diesel which is a better solution. DEF doesn't add that much to fuel cost IMO. If you can afford one of these cars the cost is negligible
I'm trading in my 2023 Escalade ESV Sport 6.2 gas for the new Improved 2025 305 horsepower 3.0 diesel Denali XL
I like the leather interior 👍🏽
Don't think that getting the additional headrest speakers, unique leather and wood trim, and Vadar chrome is worth the $20K premium GMC is asking for this rig.
Is the diesel engine loud while driving?
I miss the standard 3 person , 2nd row seating style . It’s a lot more practical && can fit more adults than kids with that style-seating
It’s texture like you would find in actual full grain leather.
If I'm able to get this, I gotta do something about that exhaust...lol😅
GMC Yukon is the goodness I like that
GMC GOAT! 🇺🇸
We're looking at this and Escalades. We had the same conversation. This thing is as nice as the Escalade.
100K for a GM product. This is a very nice looking SUV, but 100K...
It is a Gorgeous thing. It’s the only GM vehicle I like.
555 miles of range
What’s the gas tank size?
24 I think
You get 28 gallons if you get the XL/suburban/ESV. Our suburban diesel can do 700 miles on a tank all highway.
I rode in an EQS last week and I was not impressed. What I experienced is consistent with the low score Mercedes got from consumer reports.
what about feul economy
Do you know someone who won't to get ride of one
My new favorite 😍😍
Cadillac escalade is the best , and I hope that the next generation to work by AI .
Warning if you are buying one of these in Canada the rear infotainment does not work without you having to go buy a dvd player or a streaming device it is a total joke !!! $130k truck sold with a non working rear infotainment
100k? OMG?
It seems under-powered for a diesel.
Fuel economy numbers are decent but the cost of diesel may offset any gains and at $100K you're buying the GMC Denali name only...
2024 GMC Yukon Denali Ultimate 3.0L Duramax Diesel 10-Speed Automatic 4X4!
The Escalade has a center consul cool box that’s the difference between wealthy and wanna be wealthy. Sheesh Ben 🙄 !
The blinking lights on the stearing wheel are annoying.🙄
Ben “from a ‘x’ perspective” Hardy
Benn my mom👩 likes gmc suburban 97😊
Looks like a great road trip vehicle. I would pass on the diesel though, with diesel fuel still $1 a gallon more, plus all the maintenance costs and unknown long-term reliability, I'd rather stick to the 6.2 gas engine.
1500.00+ lease payment- you can lease a 7 series or S class for that- I think GM has lost their minds-
Idiots pay this. Until we stop paying what they ask it’ll never change
Those aren't even remotely comparable vehicles.
@@agger838 very true, but ironically find themselves in similar economies of scale. Who knew that production in Arlington and Dingolfing could be so.. similar. ?
$100,000. People really like throwing away money on these mundane vehicles as if its a high end Mercedes.
That’s hilarious🤣. I’d rather own one of these any day over a Mercedes. And it damn sure will hold its value better than a Merc💯😂👍🏽
And it will be down 40% in a few years if it makes that lol
You’ll spend more than 100k maintaining that Mercedes. That’s why Gm trucks and Suvs sell fast..
All I hear is poor people 😂🤣 just bought my GLS 63 AMG with over 600hp and love every second of it. Not worried about maintenance since I have 5 years of warranty and won’t even keep it more than 3 or 4 until it’s on to the next one. Gotta love these internet trolls 🧌
@@martinaltmann1658 id hate to wake up everyday looking at that ugly AMG , ill stick with the Escalade V 😂😂
I'd never buy it new,way too costly.
How could something this weak, cost so much
I wonder how many of these will be destroyed by clueless soccer moms accidentally filling w/ unleaded.
Way to quiet for a duramax
It doesn't get the LZ0? Wait for 2025~ there is no reason to buy this thing.
$100k 😂😂😂😂
Way overpriced and too weak only 3.0L and 277H.P :( NOT GOOD AT ALL !!
Get that over that junk Lexus bud
