That's why when i saw him playing in a charity game he looked in great shape and could still play a bit too and on the same team was Super John Mcginley who looked so unfit he wasn't even playing outfield he was playing in goal and looked out of breath doing that 😂

Saw that Bolton side a few times in the 90s at The Hawthorns, always had a good side in that decade it seemed. Seagraves, McGinley, Coyle, Frandsen, McAteer, Thompson, Sneekes (legend) and David Lee who was a real player.

One of my favourite players from childhood. Ripped Liverpool apart at Anfield. One of my favourite games ever. Cross to the back post for McGinlay to leap like a salmon. They don’t make David Lees any more.

I remember when Wigan Athletic bought David Lee and Scott Green from Bolton, great servants for both clubs. David was very direct and very quick if memory serves me right he coached at WAFC too. Now to sit back and watch...

Claiming Bolton beat the invincibles in the FA cup at Highbury, the game was 1993, the invincible season was 03/04 🤔
Not a 'hardman' or a drinker, but still tells a great story, good listen.
Very enjoyable and a lovely bloke. Timing was wrong at Saints and many of us resented him taking the place of MLT. That said, he had a spark about him and his heroics at Anfield were great to see. Great stuff this. 👍

Watched the first Liverpool game. Was near Christmas if I remember right. Was a top player David. Was great to watch on the wing, exciting to see. created most chances in most gàmes I watched. He does look like a boiler engineer hahaha. Is he still coaching for the wanderers. 😊😊😊
