Fun watch. I love seeing people who re-line their furnace, it’s ALWAYS educational and neat to think about the inner workings of these simple but amazing tools. I’m dreading the day I have to redo mine, but considering what I’ve been doing lately, it’s still far enough away.

Thanks! These kind of videos can be boring, so I tried to be entertaining.

Great video buddy!! Where do you get the Kaowool from? I need to redo the whole furnace 😑. But I’m delaying it for a couple of months now 😅.

I found it on Amazon, here's a link to the kit I bought. It probably wouldn't be big enough for a whole furnace, but it's in the right temperature range. I don't know who those gloves are made for though, they're even too small for my wife. a.co/d/b1ShY1y

@@KrakenCasting thanks! I have wool but not enough for the top and bottom so this could do it 😃. I have plenty of gloves so I’ll throw those away immediately 😏.

There are so many different types of refractories, what are you using?

I'm using K-Bond Wet Mortar Refractory Cement rated for 3000 degrees. It lasts me about a year between patches and retains heat pretty well, but you'll probably know something better.

You get what you paid for and since you didn't pay for anything you can't complain 😂😂😂😂
