I love how people are comparing Asmodeus and Valentino. Asmodeus unlike Valentino cares about the people he works with and it shows with Fizzaroli. Hope to see more of this man.
Valentino probably modeled himself after Asmodeus to boost his image more, maybe a way of broadcasting that he's just as good if not better than Asmodeus. Which is laughable since the eons-old physical embodiment of lust and perversion treats his workers with more respect than a dead pimp. Another example of how the natural demons can show more humanity than ones of human origin.
Depending on the interpretation Osmodeus used to be a high ranking angel that lead other angels that embodied love in it's purest form however these angels wanted to share more of that love with mortals but did not agree with the system put in place by God on how that love was shared, who was allowed receive their blessings and comfort and were eventually worn down by grief and pain as all they can do is witness the suffering of world below them. Fed up in similar ways to how Lucifer felt Osmodeus lead his rebellion with they Angels of Love that he was able to sway to his side only to be cast down to Hell. His form turned into this grotesque perversion and the angels who fought for his cause were turned into Succubi/Incubi the love they wanted to give so badly is now perverted along with their physical forms. but that's a TLDR from what i got in the DnD interpretation

Wally calling out "are you sleeping with an imp?!" is the only person in the room who cares that his lover/date is an imp. Instead, he mocked him for losing his life over it. He risked his status and reputation as well as the status and reputations of his entire family, ruined his marriage and relationship with his daughter, and made his life miserable, just to have sex with Blitzø. He was basically saying what Stolas did wasn't worth the cost, but he did it despite the consequences because he was lustful. He pointed out that the "spirit of lust" is being willing to or not caring if you lose everything just "for a thrust". He's insulting Stolas by telling him he's a loser who couldn't even cheat on his wife right and ruined his whole life over basically nothing. Ozzie, as a king, and moreso as the king of Lust, wouldn't lose anything if he slept around, even with imps. Stolas, on the other hand, had a lot to lose. And lose, he did. Edit: Sorry, I felt that if I went into more detail on Ozzie's meaning this comment would have been too long, so I didn't say it before. But, yes, I do think he was also complimenting him. The fact he went as far as he did and risked as much as he did for such a lustful thing is commendable in the eyes of Asmodeus, and that comes across in this song as well as the insults. I was just trying to point out that he wasn't a hypocrite for insulting him, so I focused on the insulting part.
I agree, except for one thing. He's the ruler of the lust ring. Why would he insult anyone who chose the path of his sin? While it definitely sounded that way to Stolas, I think it's more accurate to say he was saying "Look everyone! We won!"
I do think that Ozzy while making fun of him also admires his spirit. Like, he kind of tells him that it isn’t worth it, but then immediately goes on to saying in a totally different tone, “That’s the spirit of lust!” in that way that many demons across depictions in media often look at sinners as being rock stars while also wanting to torment them for that same sin they admire. I totally would see Asmodeus buying Stolas a drink to have some drinks together. Friendly teasing him the whole time as he listens out for the full story before buying him another drink or two for being such a brave bastard.
The first line Ozzie says after "I hope you didn't give it up, so you could get it up" is "So delightful a thrust". I get the feeling that he isn't really mocking Stolas, even if that is the intent of the scene, but congratulating him. This is everything that Ozzie stand for, letting lust take full control. On the other hand it really dose look like Fizz wants to take real pleasure in Blitzo suffering.

With how much of a fan favorite they are, I can guarantee we will since Vivsie knows how to make a happy audience without dipping into fan service. They’re way to unique of characters to be so full of life if they were just one offs.

Either lovers or at least very intimate friends with benefits who care for each other. Some of those brief frames were just too much worry from Asmodeus for Fizz’s well-being for him to just be a hype man who fucks. They spend a lot of time around each other and kind of just know what each other are thinking without needing to say it. Just continuing from each other’s points in statements or songs shows they’re in sync.
Two things make him not a hypocrite: First, Asmodeus doesn't have a wife and kids so he isn't in the same situation as Stolas. Second, he was technically _commending_ Stolas for giving in to lust.
depends what version of asmodeus we talking about. Lore wise he sometimes is married to Lilith but she is also his mom in other versions. But i do agree he was impressed with Stolas giving in to his lust for an imp of all demons.

I think a good way to describe Ozzie and Fizz is "Best friends with benefits". They aren't in love persay, but enjoy the same things, and enjoy helping the other achieve the same things. Fizz doesn't need to be as prominent as Ozzie, but Ozzie doesn't need to assert superiority over Fizz either, cuz they both simply enjoy feeding into each other's personalities and goals.
I disagree, when Moxxie was singing the lyrics "Cuz I love you, I love you~", it panned to Ozzie and Fizz when the two looked at each other and did that cute cheek snuggle thing. I don't think that was a coincidence or meant to be interpreted as non-romantic.

Even though I personally view it as a romantic interest, this honestly could very well be how it is, as they could just be close enough friends that acting like that doesn't really bother them. I am pretty close with my friends and some of us act like this with eachother so it's definitely plausible. Either way, whether it's romance or a bestie thing, it's honestly really nice. ☺️

I do think that they're somewhat hypocritical, at least to the eyes of the public. What they're saying (mainly what Asmodeus is saying) is obviously going to be misinterpreted by everyone because to them, Asmodeus is nothing but a sex symbol. They see Asmodeus like they see Valentino, nothing but a sexual deviant who wants nothing but to fuck as many people as possible. They're going to take his shaming of Moxie for "killing the vibe of his club" as him actively dismissing romance all together. But he doesn't actually hate romance. He never says he hates romance, and he himself has a romantic relationship with Fizzarolli, but his personal life isn't something he's concerned about projecting. His romantic relationship is none of the public's business.

I think there is some love in their relationship, though not as mushy and wholesome as the M&M's, you can tell Asmodeus is probably the more tender-hearted of the kings of hell- which makes a lot of sense for the sin he represents. An addiction to carnal desire doesn't inherently mean a lack of emotional connection, it just means that sex and physicality would take a precedence, and I think people forget that healthy communication makes for best the sexual experiences. Of course I'm making assumptions here, but it would make sense to me that Asmodeus would care for the feelings of his partner, and would strike a healthy balance of chaotic vulgarity with some tender loving between him and Fizz. It's obvious to me that every demon in hell is perfectly able to feel a full range of emotion, it's just with the culture of hell and it's expectations is very stifling and doesn't allow you to show it off.
This may be my own view on lust.. but lust is not simply a more crude kind of love. Lust is inherently selfish. It encourages you to value others simply by their looks, by what pleasure you can wrest from their body. After you've had your fun it's, "Hey, that was great! I'll definitely call you later, but I have to be up early for work so GTFO."

It's nice to share some good food with your loved ones but some people still don't like to share and keep it for themselves even when they have more than enough. We can see two different approach of lust with Valentino and Asmodeus, Valentino clearly being the kind of person who uses people as toys to satisfy his desires and throw them away when he's done. The moment he started to sing, Asmodeus went straight on the top of my "best characters" list of the Vivzie-universe. It will never be the case, but I would love it if his "performance mode" in actually the only way he acts. Realistic? No. But he is a primordial demon of lust, he can afford to disregard logic and just be caotic and fabulous 24/7.
Came here to rewatch after S2 E6 Oops. Hilarious that we thought they were pretty much casual f-buddies that just have fun together. Now we know they are literally so madly in love and were 1000% projecting HARD on the m&ms to hide their absolute adoration for one another.

Asmodeus doesnt get enough credit for how patient he was .He could straight up kill the M&M's and noone would dare give him shit or call him out on it (in the end of the day he is a freaking KING and they are Hell's lowest class citizens) but he instead allowed them to finish their song and then just told them to leave.
I think that kinda ties into healthy sexual relationships in general. You need to be patient with your partner, particularly if it's a new relationship or you're doing something that one (or both) of you haven't done before. Patience is key to making things work in a healthy relationship. This falls under Ozzie's status as lust incarnate pretty well, IMO. If he's patient enough to be in a relationship with Fizz (an imp who's WAY smaller and physically weaker than him), then I think that patience would extend to his general behavior, as well.

I think that as long as people think that Ozzie and Fizz are just boning, no-one bats an eye. It may be disgraceful for Stolitz to be with an imp, but no-one expects self-control from the embodiment of Lust. But what if the King of Lust fell in love? Could that be the one crime he could commit that would get him kicked off his throne?
Unrelated but I _love_ how Fizzaroli moves. He's so fluid and exaggerated. Giving him cybernetic limbs was a smart idea, because not only does it allow him to move a lot like an old-fashioned cartoon character without being weird, but it allows him to match (and surpass) Robo-Fizz in terms of visuals. He's just really fun to watch. I might be a little biased there, though, because robots, AIs, and cyborgs are _always_ my favourite characters in shows, movies, and games, without fail, as are jesters, so a cyborg-demon-jester with a veritable army of robotic doppelgangers is naturally gonna be pretty high on my list of characters-I-love.
One thing I realized about him calling out Stolas, he's not being hypocritical. It's pretty much been established that Stella and Stolas either had an arranged marriage or it was expected of them so much to the point that it practically was an arranged marriage. Stolas basically had a duty to his wife, not just by marriage, but as an ars goetia, and in doing the do with Blitzo, he basically put an imp over his duty (and when you take the book into account, he DEFINITELY did). Asmodeus doesn't have those same duties to any wife or child, so him sleeping with or even publicly showing affection to an imp isn't something anyone would make fun of him for, even the other sins, because he has no other obligations. Just thought that was interesting
I think because hes a high status individual and imps are seen as lesser than or inferior to royalty. That people find it embarrassing that stolas would hook up with an imp of all beings. But because frizzoli or whatever his name is. Is a big shot in the entertainment industry hes seen as a successful higher status imp than stolas so he gets a pass. Its the exception to the rule i guess.

I honestly think if it were revealed that Fizz is an imp, nobody would say shit to Asmodeus. Not only cuz he is the top prince(literally, Asmodeus is considered the strongest of the princes next to Lucifer himself), but because he represents Lust and all of the debauchery that comes with it so sleeping with an inferior demon race isn't anything to feel shame over. In contrast to Stolas hiding when they called him out.
Asmodeus wasn't being hypocritical he was praising stolas for his lustful behavior. However Stolas didn't see it that way which only made things worse, I don't think they'll work if he keeps feeling ashamed/embarrassed about their relationship.
@@nicolersands If you asking about Fizz and Blitzo's family status its all based on the fact that you can see a pic of Blitzo and Fizz when younger without the clown makeup on, they have matching forehead marks and they look awfully similar. Maybe cousins since Blitzo has a sister named Barbie Wire who's in rehab and no other sibling(he had an older sister in the pilot but she was removed and her design seems to have been used for his mom). If its about Fizz being described as an asshole with a heart of gold it was in one of the livestreams.
I may be stretching here but I also see Ozzie and Fizz as a symbol of healthy lust. Too often we associate lust as something negative but with these two we see that, while sex is more likely than not the driving force of it, they still care for eachother and trust eachother. They may not be sentimental and lovey dovey but they both seem content with a lust driven relationship
Actually, I would go so far as to say Fizz and Ozzie love each other. It's just that their bread-and-butter is Lust, and they are both professionals. They're probably just a raunchier version of the M&Ms once the show's over and they're both off the clock. And that's what makes them such a wonderful foil for Stolitz, maybe even moreso than the M&Ms.
They seem like the couple who after work is done, will sit down and watch like, Adam Sandler level romcoms and laugh at how cliché it is while they secretly make dinner for eachother and dance together and shit.

From a musical and story-boarding standpoint too, Fiz - quite literally and figuratively - embellishes Ozzie’s melody in “House of Asmodeus.” He adds those trumpet sound effects while the big man sings, but he also brings out the best in Ozzie for the shows they put on. He’s like an enemy in a rpg that uses de-buffs on you, to help the main boss dish out more damage.
Immediately Ozzie became my fav he's sassy, but caring. He's hot af and his voice is butter. I would go straight for that man. And his thing with Fizz really made him stand out to me. Robofizz didn't spark anything with me. But og Fizz was super cool
I ship them romanticly just cuz I feel like they'd actually talk about their feelings unlike our beloved dumbasses; And sure that could make them hypocritical, but it IS a lounge for lust and not JUST fluff so,, Also the thought of one of the highest forms of royalty finding someone who's most likely handicapped and apart of the lowest class attractive and fun enough to make robotic verions to entertain children and.. others, and to have them around as their host, and to let them sit on their shoulder, AND to care so much when they get hurt means so much and I feel like people need to give that more attention. It's interesting how episode 7 presents 2 different types of relationship that Stolas and Blitzø could be: -Considering the hand holding, face stroking and nuzzling, I'm 98% sure that Asmodeus and Fizz are an actual couple, but have to keep the lovey dovey on the downlow because of the club and Asmodeus' reputation. -To me, Asmodeus and Fizz represent that sort of wild and free relationship you might have when you're in your 20's. The kind where you don't settle down and just go with the flow, just enjoying each other's company along the way. -Moxxie and Millie however are the complete opposite. Their relationship represents the cliché domestic relationship that a lot of people dream of having. The kind where you settle down, buy a house, and probably have a couple of kids while enjoying eachother's company. -Stolas and Blitzø have the potential to be either kind of relationship. They both enjoy being wild and free but they also both want to settle down. I guess only time will tell which side they'll choose.
My prediction is that Fizz's lustful air is due to a bad breakup with Blitzo leading to young Fizz internalizing that lust is the only thing that matters and in that case he can do better than Blitzo. Also Fizz selling himself to Mammon and becoming a cyborg is literally him selling his body.
during his path to fame fizz wanted to share his fame with Blitzo but he refused and despised him out of envy, before this he became conceited as a protection to all bad comments from his former friend. Maybe They left for a while and careless, blitz left without saying anything, leaving him hurt and forced to become what he is now.
I would love to see Blitz and Stolas go back to Ozzies as an actual couple, and Stolas be on stage singing to Blitz and it be like that phone call in Murder family. Where just about everything is bleeped out, and even Ozzie looks kinda horrified! lol

I believe that they do really love each other and it shows when they play off each other in the song. Fizz constantly looking at Asmodeus for approval and Asmodeus letting Fizz do his own thing a couple times during the song. There's trust there and Ozzie's concern for Fizz and the face nuzzle says it all, they do really like each other and Ozzie the King of Lust cares more and treats his lovers much better than Valentino ever could.

I disagree on Fizzarolli working for Mammon instead of Asmodeus. Fizz has hearts and shades of pink and teal all over his outfit, which Ozzie has all over the place. Fizz even says that the Robo Fizz-es are designed and manufactured by Asmodeus. I find it more likely that Mammon purchased Robo Fizz for Loo Loo Land, and repurposed it as a mascot. Also, consider that Fizz calls Loo Loo Land an "off-brand shithole", which he probably wouldn't be allowed to say if he worked there.

The great thing about us only seeing their stage personas means we can pretty much interpret Fizz and Ozzie however we want. I think it's hilarious to picture them as ace platonic soulmates who are just reeeeeally protective of their brand and know what their crowd wants. Also, nuzzle = adorable. Also Fizz is a REALLY good jester??? Jesters typically serve a monarch and support them, pricking egos and making truths palatable through humour. Fizz, as you point out, really bigs up Ozzie as the star. Warms up the crowd. Puts a heckler in his place. Master of his craft. Gods I love jesters.
6:23 I took me a few rewatches to make sure but if you look closely at Blitz in this moment you can see he just slightly teared up whilst talking. It was a quick frame or two but it was there.
I agree that Asmodeus and Fizz don't strike me as antagonists or villains, just dicks who enjoy what they do and keep the rest of their lives separate from it. I would indeed like to see them again outside of the club and get a feel for how they would behave in a more normal climate. They may even be far better people than what we've witnesses.
Another great contrast within the Fizz and Asmodeus couple I don't see being mentioned often is their voices. Fizz's raspy, wild sounding voice paired with Ozzie's silky, smoky voice sounds fantastic together. The two are just designed so well for each other. Everything about their design is so complimentary and I live for it.
A small headcanon of mine is Asmodeous treats all his workers with fair respect, and takes care of a problem they have. Just he gives Fizz a little more affection, we all know what they got going on.

I'd like to point out that if the possibility that Fizz was the one who soiled his relationship with Blitzo, then him having the commercial and romantic success that Blitzo oh so craves only rubs more salt on the wound. Now that I think about it, Blitzo's obsession with the past is one of his biggest flaws. He may not be as big as Fizz, but his business is IMPlied to be surprisingly successful in it's own right but he seems stuck in reminiscing about his failures, and he could have a relationship with Stolas(which to be fair, we never did see what led him to having an affair), likely out of fear that Stolas is just using him and that he's burned too many bridges to trust himself. I think he does want what Fizz and Ozzie have, but can't bring himself to really trust others or himself, while having an unhealthy obsession with the personal lives of others, both of which corrodes his relationships. It's like a dangerous and self destructive concoction of borderline personality disorder and avoidant personality disorder.

This ship is so popular that when I looked up Ozzie's VA on Google the second thing that showed up was "Asmodeus X Fizz." For a King of Lust he sure holds Fizz a lot...and nuzzles him...it's adorable as hell.
I think that Fizz and Ozzie actually love each other deeply, but don't ever show it in public. There is a small frame in the trailer for 2022 helluva boss where it is them really cute doing cute couple things and an imp sees them. then it cuts to a frame of calling ozzie a hyprocrite. .w.
It'd definitely be cool to see more of these two, and whether this is Viv's plan or not, it definitely feels like this may have been the set up to have these two be mirrors and antagonists to Blitzo and Stolas and that would be cool to see. I wonder if Blitzo and Stolas are going to work through their trauma so hard they become the power couple Fizz and Asmodeus become jealous of, or if Blitzo and Stolas could become so comfortable in their relationship they don't care if Asmodeus and Fizz always look down upon them, because they don't need their approval, or hell even any of a hundred other ways the dynamics between these four could play out. Whatever happens, I'm excited and absolutely here for it.
I think there is a misconception on Fizz, Mammon, and Ozzie. Ozzie is the one who made the robots and cyborg parts (as stated the bots are from Big Ozzie's factory), Fizz contributes his likeness and possible program to get that personality in the bots, and Mammon is paying for and profiting from using the bots.
The 'lust' thing seems to me like just a fun thing they do on the side of their actual relationship; love isn't mutually exclusive with lust. It makes them a foil because they don't need to pretend. They know *and are confident in* the fact that they love each other. As a result, they aren't afraid of playing around with the whole lust thing. It's a game to them. Fizzeroli contrasts Blitzo by being so much more successful and with a much more content relationship all while loving his job, and Ozzie contrasts Stolas by being so much more open about his feelings and using no pretenses. He isn't conflicted about his genuine affection versus his lustful desires. And I think that they're so patient with M&M because they do actually appreciate the sentiment behind the song. It's just that, as other people point out, it's not the venue for it. They probably find it too saccharine.

I suspect, - and am hoping - that Fizz and Ozzie actually are a couple in love, but they likely have a very different love language for each other than M&M's dynamic. Physical touch, i.e. sex, IS a love language, and it's likely that these two are most comfortable showing love this way while M&M show each other love with singing, dancing, poetry, etc.

I really like this take on them. There is so obviously something there and, honestly, I can't really say that they are villains. They are more just protecting their establishment's name since Moxxie, as fucking cute as his song was, is literally singing a love song in their "lustful lounge". They aren't hostile until Blitzo tries to argue and Fizz sees an opportunity for some, supposed, revenge, and Ozzie just goes with it which ends up being one hell of a performance for their club in the end with Verosika joining in.

FIzzorali is by far my favorite character from Helluva boss, he's so fun! I really hope we see more of him in the future, and him and Asmodeus are so cute together, despite saying lovey-dovey stuff is bullshit
So of course Asmodeus has amazing improv ability to just instantly have a song and a tune to diss a peer. But I prefer the idea that he is constantly thinking about it and preparing rhymes and verses and just waiting for the opportunity to use them
A common narrative trope you see in a lot of things is the "Dark Shadow" archetype, where the main antagonist is basically the same character as the protagonist but with the protagonist flaws turned up to 11. The antagonist then becomes a warning to the protagonist of what they'll become if they don't deal with those flaws, driving the protagonist to change. I don't know if this was intentional on the part of Viziepop, but it was genius if it was, but Fizz seems to reverse this archetype: they're the protagonist with the flaws turned down, a sort of "Light Shadow" that could drive change in the protagonist to change by providing hope instead of warning.

Something I'd like to point out; Fizz is Blitz who succeeded *with other people.* Blitz is Fizz *who had to find value for himself.* I'd argue from a hypothetical point of view that it's not so much a matter that Fizz is *better* Blitz, but that Fizz never had the baggage on himself that he needed to succeed on his own merits, never gained a problem with relying on someone else to prop him up. It's not that he's in this for a good time (clearly not, he's selling robot sex dolls of himself and is clearly creeped out by coming even close to acknowledging the reality of that _and made himself a cyborg for it)_ it's that Ozzie is 100% a goddamn kingpin of the underworld and among the best people to have as your sugar daddy, patron, whatever they are. Fizz seems to have zero shame in working under someone (hah) and that's why this is purely a transactional relationship for them just like Stolitz. ...Just, y'know, they both prefer that working relationship.
I love how people are comparing Asmodeus and Valentino. Asmodeus unlike Valentino cares about the people he works with and it shows with Fizzaroli. Hope to see more of this man.

Valentino probably modeled himself after Asmodeus to boost his image more, maybe a way of broadcasting that he's just as good if not better than Asmodeus. Which is laughable since the eons-old physical embodiment of lust and perversion treats his workers with more respect than a dead pimp. Another example of how the natural demons can show more humanity than ones of human origin.

Unfortunately I confused them at first, though I suppose this means Valentino takes a lot of inspiration from the king of the Lust ring.
Depending on the interpretation Osmodeus used to be a high ranking angel that lead other angels that embodied love in it's purest form however these angels wanted to share more of that love with mortals but did not agree with the system put in place by God on how that love was shared, who was allowed receive their blessings and comfort and were eventually worn down by grief and pain as all they can do is witness the suffering of world below them.
Fed up in similar ways to how Lucifer felt Osmodeus lead his rebellion with they Angels of Love that he was able to sway to his side only to be cast down to Hell. His form turned into this grotesque perversion and the angels who fought for his cause were turned into Succubi/Incubi the love they wanted to give so badly is now perverted along with their physical forms.

Wally calling out "are you sleeping with an imp?!" is the only person in the room who cares that his lover/date is an imp. Instead, he mocked him for losing his life over it. He risked his status and reputation as well as the status and reputations of his entire family, ruined his marriage and relationship with his daughter, and made his life miserable, just to have sex with Blitzø. He was basically saying what Stolas did wasn't worth the cost, but he did it despite the consequences because he was lustful. He pointed out that the "spirit of lust" is being willing to or not caring if you lose everything just "for a thrust". He's insulting Stolas by telling him he's a loser who couldn't even cheat on his wife right and ruined his whole life over basically nothing. Ozzie, as a king, and moreso as the king of Lust, wouldn't lose anything if he slept around, even with imps. Stolas, on the other hand, had a lot to lose. And lose, he did.
Edit: Sorry, I felt that if I went into more detail on Ozzie's meaning this comment would have been too long, so I didn't say it before. But, yes, I do think he was also complimenting him. The fact he went as far as he did and risked as much as he did for such a lustful thing is commendable in the eyes of Asmodeus, and that comes across in this song as well as the insults. I was just trying to point out that he wasn't a hypocrite for insulting him, so I focused on the insulting part.
I agree, except for one thing. He's the ruler of the lust ring. Why would he insult anyone who chose the path of his sin? While it definitely sounded that way to Stolas, I think it's more accurate to say he was saying "Look everyone! We won!"
I do think that Ozzy while making fun of him also admires his spirit. Like, he kind of tells him that it isn’t worth it, but then immediately goes on to saying in a totally different tone, “That’s the spirit of lust!” in that way that many demons across depictions in media often look at sinners as being rock stars while also wanting to torment them for that same sin they admire.
I totally would see Asmodeus buying Stolas a drink to have some drinks together. Friendly teasing him the whole time as he listens out for the full story before buying him another drink or two for being such a brave bastard.

I get the feeling that he isn't really mocking Stolas, even if that is the intent of the scene, but congratulating him. This is everything that Ozzie stand for, letting lust take full control. On the other hand it really dose look like Fizz wants to take real pleasure in Blitzo suffering.

Fizzarolli and Asmodeus seemed like they were so in sync that it was difficult not to think that they were probably lovers or something.
Either lovers or at least very intimate friends with benefits who care for each other. Some of those brief frames were just too much worry from Asmodeus for Fizz’s well-being for him to just be a hype man who fucks. They spend a lot of time around each other and kind of just know what each other are thinking without needing to say it. Just continuing from each other’s points in statements or songs shows they’re in sync.

I think a good way to describe Ozzie and Fizz is "Best friends with benefits". They aren't in love persay, but enjoy the same things, and enjoy helping the other achieve the same things. Fizz doesn't need to be as prominent as Ozzie, but Ozzie doesn't need to assert superiority over Fizz either, cuz they both simply enjoy feeding into each other's personalities and goals.

What they're saying (mainly what Asmodeus is saying) is obviously going to be misinterpreted by everyone because to them, Asmodeus is nothing but a sex symbol. They see Asmodeus like they see Valentino, nothing but a sexual deviant who wants nothing but to fuck as many people as possible. I think there is some love in their relationship, though not as mushy and wholesome as the M&M's, you can tell Asmodeus is probably the more tender-hearted of the kings of hell- which makes a lot of sense for the sin he represents. An addiction to carnal desire doesn't inherently mean a lack of emotional connection, it just means that sex and physicality would take a precedence, and I think people forget that healthy communication makes for best the sexual experiences. Of course I'm making assumptions here, but it would make sense to me that Asmodeus would care for the feelings of his partner, and would strike a healthy balance of chaotic vulgarity with some tender loving between him and Fizz. It's obvious to me that every demon in hell is perfectly able to feel a full range of emotion, it's just with the culture of hell and it's expectations is very stifling and doesn't allow you to show it off.
This may be my own view on lust.. but lust is not simply a more crude kind of love. Lust is inherently selfish. It encourages you to value others simply by their looks, by what pleasure you can wrest from their body. After you've had your fun it's, "Hey, that was great! I'll definitely call you later, but I have to be up early for work so GTFO."

It's nice to share some good food with your loved ones but some people still don't like to share and keep it for themselves even when they have more than enough. We can see two different approach of lust with Valentino and Asmodeus, Valentino clearly being the kind of person who uses people as toys to satisfy his desires and throw them away when he's done. While Asomdeus cares about the people he sleeps and works with, he clearly likes or maybe even loves Fizz. ( Sorry if there's some mistakes I don't speak English perfectly )

The moment he started to sing, Asmodeus went straight on the top of my "best characters" list of the Vivzie-universe. It will never be the case, but I would love it if his "performance mode" in actually the only way he acts. Realistic? No. But he is a primordial demon of lust, he can afford to disregard logic and just be caotic and fabulous 24/7.
Came here to rewatch after S2 E6 Oops. Hilarious that we thought they were pretty much casual f-buddies that just have fun together. Now we know they are literally so madly in love and were 1000% projecting HARD on the m&ms to hide their absolute adoration for one another.

Asmodeus doesnt get enough credit for how patient he was .He could straight up kill the M&M's and noone would dare give him shit or call him out on it (in the end of the day he is a freaking KING and they are Hell's lowest class citizens) but he instead allowed them to finish their song and then just told them to leave.
I think that kinda ties into healthy sexual relationships in general. You need to be patient with your partner, particularly if it's a new relationship or you're doing something that one (or both) of you haven't done before. Patience is key to making things work in a healthy relationship.
This falls under Ozzie's status as lust incarnate pretty well, IMO. If he's patient enough to be in a relationship with Fizz (an imp who's WAY smaller and physically weaker than him), then I think that patience would extend to his general behavior, as well.
Honestly, I really like the character of real Fizz. Much better than Robo Fizz, at least.

I think that as long as people think that Ozzie and Fizz are just boning, no-one bats an eye. It may be disgraceful for Stolitz to be with an imp, but no-one expects self-control from the embodiment of Lust.

Unrelated but I _love_ how Fizzaroli moves. He's so fluid and exaggerated. Giving him cybernetic limbs was a smart idea, because not only does it allow him to move a lot like an old-fashioned cartoon character without being weird, but it allows him to match (and surpass) Robo-Fizz in terms of visuals. He's just really fun to watch.
I might be a little biased there, though, because robots, AIs, and cyborgs are _always_ my favourite characters in shows, movies, and games, without fail, as are jesters, so a cyborg-demon-jester with a veritable army of robotic doppelgangers is naturally gonna be pretty high on my list of characters-I-love.

One thing I realized about him calling out Stolas, he's not being hypocritical. It's pretty much been established that Stella and Stolas either had an arranged marriage or it was expected of them so much to the point that it practically was an arranged marriage. Stolas basically had a duty to his wife, not just by marriage, but as an ars goetia, and in doing the do with Blitzo, he basically put an imp over his duty (and when you take the book into account, he DEFINITELY did). Asmodeus doesn't have those same duties to any wife or child, so him sleeping with or even publicly showing affection to an imp isn't something anyone would make fun of him for, even the other sins, because he has no other obligations. Just thought that was interesting
I think because hes a high status individual and imps are seen as lesser than or inferior to royalty. That people find it embarrassing that stolas would hook up with an imp of all beings. But because frizzoli or whatever his name is. Is a big shot in the entertainment industry hes seen as a successful higher status imp than stolas so he gets a pass. Its the exception to the rule i guess.

I honestly think if it were revealed that Fizz is an imp, nobody would say shit to Asmodeus. Not only cuz he is the top prince(literally, Asmodeus is considered the strongest of the princes next to Lucifer himself), but because he represents Lust and all of the debauchery that comes with it so sleeping with an inferior demon race isn't anything to feel shame over. In contrast to Stolas hiding when they called him out.
Asmodeus wasn't being hypocritical he was praising stolas for his lustful behavior. However Stolas didn't see it that way which only made things worse, I don't think they'll work if he keeps feeling ashamed/embarrassed about their relationship.

@@nicolersands If you asking about Fizz and Blitzo's family status its all based on the fact that you can see a pic of Blitzo and Fizz when younger without the clown makeup on, they have matching forehead marks and they look awfully similar. Maybe cousins since Blitzo has a sister named Barbie Wire who's in rehab and no other sibling(he had an older sister in the pilot but she was removed and her design seems to have been used for his mom). If its about Fizz being described as an asshole with a heart of gold it was in one of the livestreams.

I may be stretching here but I also see Ozzie and Fizz as a symbol of healthy lust. Too often we associate lust as something negative but with these two we see that, while sex is more likely than not the driving force of it, they still care for eachother and trust eachother. They may not be sentimental and lovey dovey but they both seem content with a lust driven relationship

Actually, I would go so far as to say Fizz and Ozzie love each other. It's just that their bread-and-butter is Lust, and they are both professionals. They're probably just a raunchier version of the M&Ms once the show's over and they're both off the clock. And that's what makes them such a wonderful foil for Stolitz, maybe even moreso than the M&Ms.
They seem like the couple who after work is done, will sit down and watch like, Adam Sandler level romcoms and laugh at how cliché it is while they secretly make dinner for eachother and dance together and shit.

From a musical and story-boarding standpoint too, Fiz - quite literally and figuratively - embellishes Ozzie’s melody in “House of Asmodeus.” He adds those trumpet sound effects while the big man sings, but he also brings out the best in Ozzie for the shows they put on. He’s like an enemy in a rpg that uses de-buffs on you, to help the main boss dish out more damage.
Fizz just made me think Beetlejuice just put on a jester costume, walked into this show like he owned the place, and nobody stopped him.

It's interesting how episode 7 presents 2 different types of relationship that Stolas and Blitzø could be:
-Considering the hand holding, face stroking and nuzzling, I'm 98% sure that Asmodeus and Fizz are an actual couple, but have to keep the lovey dovey on the downlow because of the club and Asmodeus' reputation.
-To me, Asmodeus and Fizz represent that sort of wild and free relationship you might have when you're in your 20's. The kind where you don't settle down and just go with the flow, just enjoying each other's company along the way.
-Moxxie and Millie however are the complete opposite. Their relationship represents the cliché domestic relationship that a lot of people dream of having. The kind where you settle down, buy a house, and probably have a couple of kids while enjoying eachother's company.
-Stolas and Blitzø have the potential to be either kind of relationship. They both enjoy being wild and free but they also both want to settle down. I guess only time will tell which side they'll choose.

during his path to fame fizz wanted to share his fame with Blitzo but he refused and despised him out of envy, before this he became conceited as a protection to all bad comments from his former friend. Maybe They left for a while and careless, blitz left without saying anything, leaving him hurt and forced to become what he is now.

I believe that they do really love each other and it shows when they play off each other in the song. Fizz constantly looking at Asmodeus for approval and Asmodeus letting Fizz do his own thing a couple times during the song. There's trust there and Ozzie's concern for Fizz and the face nuzzle says it all, they do really like each other and Ozzie the King of Lust cares more and treats his lovers much better than Valentino ever could.

I disagree on Fizzarolli working for Mammon instead of Asmodeus. Fizz has hearts and shades of pink and teal all over his outfit, which Ozzie has all over the place. Fizz even says that the Robo Fizz-es are designed and manufactured by Asmodeus.
I find it more likely that Mammon purchased Robo Fizz for Loo Loo Land, and repurposed it as a mascot. Also, consider that Fizz calls Loo Loo Land an "off-brand shithole", which he probably wouldn't be allowed to say if he worked there.

The great thing about us only seeing their stage personas means we can pretty much interpret Fizz and Ozzie however we want. I think it's hilarious to picture them as ace platonic soulmates who are just reeeeeally protective of their brand and know what their crowd wants.

I agree that Asmodeus and Fizz don't strike me as antagonists or villains, just dicks who enjoy what they do and keep the rest of their lives separate from it. I would indeed like to see them again outside of the club and get a feel for how they would behave in a more normal climate. They may even be far better people than what we've witnesses.
Another great contrast within the Fizz and Asmodeus couple I don't see being mentioned often is their voices. Fizz's raspy, wild sounding voice paired with Ozzie's silky, smoky voice sounds fantastic together. The two are just designed so well for each other. Everything about their design is so complimentary and I live for it.
A small headcanon of mine is Asmodeous treats all his workers with fair respect, and takes care of a problem they have. Just he gives Fizz a little more affection, we all know what they got going on.
Legit let Moxie got off and stop everything he was doing just to hold Fizz in a comforting and caring way. LIKE THIS IS SOMETHING WE DIDNT KNOW WE NEEEDED
I'd like to point out that if the possibility that Fizz was the one who soiled his relationship with Blitzo, then him having the commercial and romantic success that Blitzo oh so craves only rubs more salt on the wound.
Now that I think about it, Blitzo's obsession with the past is one of his biggest flaws. He may not be as big as Fizz, but his business is IMPlied to be surprisingly successful in it's own right but he seems stuck in reminiscing about his failures, and he could have a relationship with Stolas(which to be fair, we never did see what led him to having an affair), likely out of fear that Stolas is just using him and that he's burned too many bridges to trust himself. I think he does want what Fizz and Ozzie have, but can't bring himself to really trust others or himself, while having an unhealthy obsession with the personal lives of others, both of which corrodes his relationships. It's like a dangerous and self destructive concoction of borderline personality disorder and avoidant personality disorder.

It'd definitely be cool to see more of these two, and whether this is Viv's plan or not, it definitely feels like this may have been the set up to have these two be mirrors and antagonists to Blitzo and Stolas and that would be cool to see. I wonder if Blitzo and Stolas are going to work through their trauma so hard they become the power couple Fizz and Asmodeus become jealous of, or if Blitzo and Stolas could become so comfortable in their relationship they don't care if Asmodeus and Fizz always look down upon them, because they don't need their approval, or hell even any of a hundred other ways the dynamics between these four could play out. Whatever happens, I'm excited and absolutely here for it.
I think there is a misconception on Fizz, Mammon, and Ozzie. Ozzie is the one who made the robots and cyborg parts (as stated the bots are from Big Ozzie's factory), Fizz contributes his likeness and possible program to get that personality in the bots, and Mammon is paying for and profiting from using the bots.

The 'lust' thing seems to me like just a fun thing they do on the side of their actual relationship; love isn't mutually exclusive with lust. It makes them a foil because they don't need to pretend. They know *and are confident in* the fact that they love each other. As a result, they aren't afraid of playing around with the whole lust thing. It's a game to them.
Fizzeroli contrasts Blitzo by being so much more successful and with a much more content relationship all while loving his job, and Ozzie contrasts Stolas by being so much more open about his feelings and using no pretenses. He isn't conflicted about his genuine affection versus his lustful desires.
And I think that they're so patient with M&M because they do actually appreciate the sentiment behind the song. It's just that, as other people point out, it's not the venue for it. They probably find it too saccharine.

I suspect, - and am hoping - that Fizz and Ozzie actually are a couple in love, but they likely have a very different love language for each other than M&M's dynamic. Physical touch, i.e. sex, IS a love language, and it's likely that these two are most comfortable showing love this way while M&M show each other love with singing, dancing, poetry, etc.

I really like this take on them. There is so obviously something there and, honestly, I can't really say that they are villains. They are more just protecting their establishment's name since Moxxie, as fucking cute as his song was, is literally singing a love song in their "lustful lounge". They aren't hostile until Blitzo tries to argue and Fizz sees an opportunity for some, supposed, revenge, and Ozzie just goes with it which ends up being one hell of a performance for their club in the end with Verosika joining in.
Imagine what would have happened if Moxxie did began to make his song more sexual. I would LOVE to see that AU.

So of course Asmodeus has amazing improv ability to just instantly have a song and a tune to diss a peer. But I prefer the idea that he is constantly thinking about it and preparing rhymes and verses and just waiting for the opportunity to use them
A common narrative trope you see in a lot of things is the "Dark Shadow" archetype, where the main antagonist is basically the same character as the protagonist but with the protagonist flaws turned up to 11. The antagonist then becomes a warning to the protagonist of what they'll become if they don't deal with those flaws, driving the protagonist to change. I don't know if this was intentional on the part of Viziepop, but it was genius if it was, but Fizz seems to reverse this archetype: they're the protagonist with the flaws turned down, a sort of "Light Shadow" that could drive change in the protagonist to change by providing hope instead of warning.

Something I'd like to point out; Fizz is Blitz who succeeded *with other people.* Blitz is Fizz *who had to find value for himself.* I'd argue from a hypothetical point of view that it's not so much a matter that Fizz is *better* Blitz, but that Fizz never had the baggage on himself that he needed to succeed on his own merits, never gained a problem with relying on someone else to prop him up. It's not that he's in this for a good time (clearly not, he's selling robot sex dolls of himself and is clearly creeped out by coming even close to acknowledging the reality of that _and made himself a cyborg for it)_ it's that Ozzie is 100% a goddamn kingpin of the underworld and among the best people to have as your sugar daddy, patron, whatever they are. Fizz seems to have zero shame in working under someone (hah) and that's why this is purely a transactional relationship for them just like Stolitz. ...Just, y'know, they both prefer that working relationship.
