I think it was fine. Not everything has to be relatable or deep. This is a cartoon and that means that it has the freedom to do things like this and I approve it
Not gonna lie it was probably Blitzs dad that caused it. He thought of Fizz as his son and hated Blitz, his bio son, and so he probably told Fizz Blitz wasn't there and told Blitz Fizz didn't want to see him
Personally, I feel like it was totally justified in the situation. It seems like the animosity they held towards each other was purely fuelled by the notion that they abandoned each other, because they were as close as brothers as children. When they realized that all that vitriol was being puffed up by hot air and that silly misunderstanding, it all deflated and they simultaneously understood that if it wasn't for that, they would have made up years ago, right after the accident. It felt less like a easy resolution, and more like a reunion between two friends who have both been wishing that the hate would just disappear. They forgave it all in and instant because they knew that neither of them had their heart in it, and it wasn't what they ever wanted.
well little blitzø was already hyperfixated on horses when he was young (fun fact about their legs stopping working when the horses eat too much sugar when he was like 10 👍 in the circus episode. like you know that because you're either book worm (I'm looking at you baby stolas) or a kid learning everything he can about his favorit animal.)
Honestly I kinda liked how they reconciled so quickly. It showed how easy Blitz can clean up ALL of his problems if he just talked to people instead of digging his grave deeper
@@dflaming1371understanding the position of who you are speaking to is PART of communication. Just spilling your guts out without listening isn't communication that will fix anything -- at best it makes YOU feel better. Without some form of scene where blitz talks it out *and it works* he will not grow and learn to do so *with stolas.* The barbie wire ep was him trying and failing, but him TRYING AGAIN SO SOON shows that he is growing as a character. OG blitz would take the negative Reinforcement of barbie wire blowing him off and double down on his efforts to push others away. This blitz shows growth and even if "it could be better" if there wasn't as clear of a reconciliation, THERE NEEDED TO BE **A** RECONCILIATION
Another note is that their whole deal was due to a genuine lack of good communication, and it seems someone was actively trying to ensure they couldn't reconcile, based on how their talk goes
@ajaychilds9667 yeah also the miscommunication is not the typical person walks in on love one talking bad about them and leave before hearing the rest of the context and figure out is not in a bad way, blizt actions cause an horrible accident that hurt him and fizz, and however the "they" is most likely was close-ish to them and kept them apart out of spite for the fire accident, so the miscommunication was a horrible thing that spring up as a extension of blizt horrible fire accident, so fizz and blizt still have a heavy talk to each other even with the third party miscommunication.
@@Haphu15 Yeah. It seems to me like someone (maybe Barb?) told the people working on Fizz that he didn't want Blitzø to visit. It's clear that there's a lot that needs to be done before they can have a somewhat healthy friendship again, but it's good that they've at least began to reconcile
I don't really think that Fizz has forgiven Blitz, but rather I think he's finally able to start processing what happened fully now and not HATE him anymore.
Yeah. Fizz said himself he couldn’t just forgive Blitzø, even after all these years. It’s just now he knows his side of the story and that he never meant to hurt him like he did and that he did try to see him after everything. Fizz doesn’t forgive, it’s just he understands
Fizz having survived a horrific fire and still being able to live a good life can be something so personal, especially as someone who survived a fire and is covered in skin grafts.
Hey dude, I know this won't really help, but I think you're pretty awesome. Skin grafts for burns are in the top 3 fears of mine. I'm sorry you went through that, but I'm happier knowing that you're here. Love you homie, and I'm proud of you.
@@froggie0ribbit592 i mean, i was like 2 so i dont remember much consciously, but thanks! That's actually one of the sweetest things anyone's ever said to me about them!
I feel like the conflict between Blitz and Fizz being resolved so quickly isn’t actually a bad thing. As it shows that being apart for so long is a big part of why the two dislike each other so much, they’ve had so much time to dwell on each other without any communication, and actually shows what a lot of Blitz’s relationships are, a lack of communication, Stolas and Blitz’s problems would be pretty much solved if they just sat down and talked for like 5 minutes, just as Fizz and Blitz’s were
I definitely agree!! I've definitely had moments of misunderstanding that were never resolved and instead just festered, causing so much more animosity than if it had been cleared up right away. It makes perfect sense to me why the resolution happened so quickly and easily, as there was nothing but time and their own assumptions keeping the tension in the conflict. Edit for spelling
Was just about to comment something similar and I def agree with this also personally I think it’s a testament to how deep their friendship may have been behind the scenes and outside of anyone’s scrutiny. It’s was probably the type of friendship that you really missed after the fight and when you realize the it had been a simple misunderstanding you’re just sort of relieved and ready to get your friendship back on track
Yeah. And it's not like they suddenly became best friends again. Fizz even said that he'll take a while to fully forgive him. They just lost the animosity because they learned the truth about what happened, and I think that's kinda realistic for a situation like that.
I think one major reason I don't have that big of a problem with the misunderstanding thing and quick solving of it, is that Blitzø and Fizz were such big friends in the past that they, while it still being 15 years, just can't help but make up so fast because they FINALLY wanna be friends again and are REALLY relieved after explaining themselves.
I totally agree! It was all a misunderstanding, and true friendship means they REALLY wanted to be close. There wasn’t actually anything between them that went wrong, they were just told things by others. So it makes sense that when they meet again they click again so well. It’s like not seeing a friend for a long time but when you finally do it’s like you were never apart. But add on the relief of realizing the hurt you thought they caused u wasn’t what you thought!
Agreed. I don’t have much contact with my old best friend from high school, but when we do chat every few months or something, it’s like our friendship really never stopped. We’ve had our fair share of fights and problems, but there’s no one else I can come back to like her. Some friendships are just built different 🥲
Yeah! And Stolas needs FRIENDS lol - having the Sin of Lust be his buddy also just makes sense for him lol. Horny demon owl who just wants connection lol
I love that Blitz is evolving. He opened up about his fears with Loona, he at least attempted to fix things with Barbie and he opened up about his feelings with Fizz, explaining what happened and how he felt. This is building up to Blitz actually having the guts to talk things with Stolas. That would be an endgame thing imho
Talking things out with Stolas would require Blitzo coming to the realization that Stolas wants their relationship to be more than just some business-related fornication.
@@the_furry_inside_your_walls639i don't think Stolitz is going to happen right away, Blitz is getting some character development but Blitz still has personal issues with himself to work out. Saying sorry to people he has wronged isn't going to change anything.
Fizzarolli and Asmodeus are EASILY the most wholesome couple in the series so far, which is crazy considering we just got an episode with Vortex and Beelzebub.
@@mekiherring2088 There are 4 couples we’ve seen that aren’t toxic which is surprising but stolitz, Stella x stolitz, and blitz x verosika are all incredibly toxic and we know most people at Ozzie’s except the m&m’s and the lust lord himself are in not the healthiest relationships.
Now I head canon taht all princes have good healthy relationships, including lucifer and lilith, I mean, in all family portraits they seem equally happy, so it's likely
I love that Crimson and Striker teamed up to capture Blitzø and Fizz, the amount of characters they’ve introduced finally feels more natural rather then just stockpiling more characters upon each other
I am glad Crim came back. So far, the only villain to do so was Striker (Stella doesn't count. She is supposed to be the main villain (emphasis on "supposed to be") ).
I kinda have mixed feelings about Crimson and Striker being in this episode, because on one hand it's always good to see them and It was interesting to see them team up, But on the other hand it kinda feels a little too early for at least Striker to be making his second appearances in this season because it's literally two episodes later since his appearance in episode 4. But the fact that Crimson and Striker did appear in this episode makes me wonder if they will be recurring villains full time from now on instead of making returns after several episodes.
The scene from "Loo Loo Land" where Robo Fizz is walking towards Blitzø while melting and being scorched hits differently now. This episode managed to incorporate a lot of characters and touch upon several plot points without feeling convoluted. In my opinion, this was the best episode so far.
One of my favorite things in this epsiode was actually Stolas We haven't really gotten to see him in another context than his family or his relationship with Blitz, and it was wonderful to just see him geek out over papers and actually have a conversation that isn't dramafilled
definitely, it’s nice to see a heartwarming moment with him that isn’t going to break anyone even though technically it is still a circumstance revolving around his family and Blitz as the conversation began with Blitz and Ozzie and Stolas are kinda related as both are members of the Ars Goetia
And by the way Ozzie talked seems like he just humilliated him because he needed to but wasn't with the intention of hatming Stolas, and didn't knew the situation with Stella.
I personally love that Fizz was so forgiving after learning the truth, like some part of him really wanted Blitz to just be his friend again all that time. Who doesn't remember a friend who just kindof fell out of your life for stupid reasons or circumstances and, despite a lack of action by that friend, wish they had that friendship back? (Not that a horrible, life-changing fire is anything stupid) Also OMG THE ANIMATION IN THIS EPISODE IS SO GOOD, I CAN'T GET OVER IT!! The way they emote and everything is just so tantalizing to my eyeballs
fizz realizing blitz did try to and go see him after the accident makes forgiving so quickly make sense. i could imagine a lot of the anger fizz was harboring stemmed from him feeling blitz didn’t care and abandoned him. i’m sure fizz finding out that wasn’t true changed his whole mindset. it’s been 15 years, they probably figured why drag it out any further considering one of the main reasons for the resentment wasn’t even true.
I had a friend once, like one of my first friends, all of my school life I’ve always wanted to reconnect, but I was the shy one, so I was never able to bring up the courage to talk to them but I wish I did. I really and truly miss the friendship that we had they were the only one I trusted more than my family.
This happened between me and a friend who I dated and friended since I started middle school but poor communication ended out friendship horribly and as much as it hurt I still wish we could make up like blitz and fizz did since I have dreams of us still being friends or us making up
Did they reconcile quickly? Cuz to my understanding, Fizz was not ready to completely forgive Blitzø. At least, not right away, and while they hugged by the end (to me), it felt like a _"let's try again"_ rather than "I fully forgive you, let's go drinking tomorrow". Also, I think it's worth mentioning that while there was 15 years of resentment, there was another 15 (more or less) of genuine affection that were still there. Otherwise, Fizz might have not even tried to make amends. He would've just moved on after Blitzø admitted that it was his fault. Then again, I'm biased because my god, Blitzø finally got a personal win, and I needed that
There's also the fact someone kept them apart by lying and saying Fizz didn't want to see Blitzø while fizz was told Blitzø never tried to visit. Them realizing someone clearly kept them apart helped them make amends
Personally I'm holding out to see what future episodes with Fizz look like. For all we know, Fizz may claim he's forgiven Blitzo but he may not be willing to have a fully trusting relationship yet. He didn't immediately explain to Ozzie what happened. When prompted, he said "let him have it" and that he earned the crystal to help his business, but Fizz didn't come out and say they amended their relationship yet.
ya. im not expecting them to be buddy buddy. but this was def a moment of understanding and a start to forgivness. having finally spoken about the incident they can finally at least START to move on properly. Def not a 100% forgave, but cleared up the major issue. (as well as a shared understanding on who kept them apart)
Tbh it didn’t really surprise me that they made up so fast. They grew up together, And the fact that Fizz Wanted Blitz to visit him after the fire means that he didn’t totally blame Blitz at the time- it’s the abandonment that fueled his ire. And that hurt, both feeling abandoned by the other, is what really was causing them to lash at the other. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, they didn’t really have a reason to keep being mad. Plus it’s not like they’re besties again, Fizz even said he doesn’t know how to forgive 15 years. It made sense to me.
Besides, Blitzo even says 'you're all I have left' which probably helped a lot with how Fizz was listening. Someone doesn't just risk their neck out for you for no reason and then say to be some kind of bastard, that doesn't make sense and likely means there's a lot of crap going on with that person that he doesn't understand.
Also, Fizz realizes that Blitzo didn't "just" abandon him: he had an extremely difficult choice for saving his family or his best friend, and his choice ultimately saved neither. Plus when it became clear that someone was deliberately preventing them from communicating for 15 years, they both realized that their feud was never legitimate and completely moot from day 1.
AND DID YOU REALLY THINK BLITZO RUINED FIZZAROLI'S LIFE NO FIZZAROLI RUINED BLITZO'S LIFE AND THATS WHAT MADE BLITZO HATE FIZZAROLLI AND BLITZO IS ALSO CRAVING FOR BURGERS FROM BURGER KING AND I LIKE HOW BLITZO CRAVES FOR BURGERS AT BURGER KING AM I RIGHT EVERYONE
Sorry Let Me Try Again Cause BLITZO is The One Craving For Burgers At Burgeoning Not That Ruiner Fizzarolli The Jester At LooLooLand BLITZO Should Be The One Getting Burgers From Burger King Not Fizz And Ozzie AND Fizzarolli is The One BLITZO Hates So Much Did You Really Think BLITZO is The Blame For All Of This Fizzarolli Wanted The Spotlight Because He Wanted BLITZO Gone Because Fizzarolli Was Jealous Of Him And BLITZO Looked Up To Fizzarolli BLITZO THOUGHT Fizzarolli Was His Only Brother Fizzarolli Ruined Blitzo's Life And Then Fizzarolli Just Left BLITZO BLITZO Lost So Much Because Of Fizzarolli And Fizzarolli is a Selfish Piece Of Shit Who DIDN'T Even Care But Do Fizzarolli Care Well Do He
Personally, I feel like the line fizz has at the end shows he’s not entirely over it all yet, but a moment like that was useful for initially reconnecting. It’s still 15 years of resentment, and that will take a lot more time to heal. Things don’t just fix themselves after a day.
Yeah exactly! Fizz even states directly pretty early on after the reveal that he can't just forgive them right away! It's not all solved but it's in the early stages of recovery, and a little bit of trust is beginning to form between them again. That's at least what I'm seeing. They still got a bit of beef but they're getting better. They both finally understand what happened and have a better understanding of one another. But the cuts still go deep
I really think that the reason why Fizz forgave Blitz so easily is because he understands him since he basically grew up with him. They were best friend’s since childhood; Fizz isn’t dumb and knows Blitz’s own father likes him more. Him just saying that Blitz was jealous is to just tell himself as of why Blitz would decide to burn the circus and leave him purposely when it was then revealed that everything was an accident, that he would never want to do such a thing which makes sense since he doesn’t really care about everyone liking Fizz more since it’s because he has romantic feelings for him. 👀 He easily forgave because despite the years of misunderstanding, they both still cared for each other deep down. Fizz is such a likable and mature character, he deserves what he has on his life now
Brandon Rogers did such amazing voice acting in this episode. There is so much emotion in the emotional scenes, and he knows exactly how and when he should speak
as someone who has first-hand experience in the "alienation from someone you love by the hands of others that you love" trope, i can tell you that when the truth is revealed, it's like a huge weight off your chest, but then another huge weight put back on it. it's the "so you didn't betray me, but someone still did" realization. having a common enemy does wonders for uniting people
Same and agreed. It's freeing and a little terrifying. All the sadness you had over losing your friend(s) turns into hurt and resentment at the real betrayal. It helps that you now have other people who went through the same with whom you can work through it.
I like how "rushed" it was since the story between them isn't over. Fizz himself says that he doesn't know how to forgive Blitz fully since it's been so long that he believed it was all on purpose and both Blitz and Fizz mention that, for whatever reason, "they" were telling them that the other didn't want to see them, implying that there's a 3rd party actively trying to keep them apart. Also, after so many episodes where Blitz actively refuses to open up, him finally doing it hits hard.
I like the fact that miscommunication by the 3rd party was an extension of blizt consequences for causing the fire, no walk in on something speaking bad of them and walks out before listening to the rest of the story do it makes sense, the 3rd party might be someone close to fizz and blizt from back then that out of anger and grief for the accident decided it was best for blizt to never see fizz again, the miscommunication didn't happend cause of a fixable mishearing but as a consequence birthed out of many others by bliztos actions
@@chordsofsteel-i4jHim creating this huge fire in attempt to do a petty sabotage that went too far would make him more interesting in my opinion and give him an accountability for what happened. It would then leave more impact now that he tries to change. It would not feel so cheap and it would make him an actual piece of shit that needs to change instead of this being an accident and Blitzo being free from almost all blame. It creates interesting conflict, interesting character and interesting journey. And he is damn Imp from HELL!! Why bother making this setting Hell if you are not utilizing it?
I also like that he learned from his mistakes from the failed attempt at rebuilding a relationship with Barbie. She wasn't ready and he ignored it. Fizz obviously was ready to hear him out making it easier for them to rebuild the relationship
Considering he made a lifelong friend in Moxxie by being locked up with him, then actually patched up some strain by being locked up with Moxxie again. I feel like at this point the easiest way to get Blitz to talk about your problems with him is to tie him to you for like.. 30 minutes. Which is probably easy to trick him into. @@deathpie24
This too, it also make sense we didnt hear what happened with her, it wouldve spoiled fizz's backstory, im glad things happened this way- now that they are on talkin terms, there is more possibilities of knowin more, we're literally gettin another fizz ep for ep 7, which shows thats the case. barbie will likely have her own ep eventually and see what happened on that side of the story of blitz and barbie's mom, the falling our, her addictions and the "father" if you can call him that
It was a joy to finally have some extended scenes with Fizz. Watching him be an arrogant jerk was so entertaining, but when he's vulnerable it's even better. The fact that he doesn't take any of Blitz's crap is even better.
This is my favorite Helluvaboss ship because it's like the crazy high strung one + the calm and supportive one, and it WORKS SO GOOD. Ozzie genuinely loves Fizz for who he is, and (probably) admires that he still enjoys life despite everything he had gone through. While Fizz understands that yeah, Ozzie is a big deal and royalty in hell, but sees that Ozzie is also just a person who has a passion for his work (he considers the sing of lust to be 'art') and has so much love to give. They're also both VERY clear with communication. Everything they discuss (breakfast, their work, Fizz going to greed, Fizz when he says he has 'new kinks' now) is CRYSTAL CLEAR, and they are 100% HONEST with each other. That's why it's so wholesome. That's my take on it, anyway.
Something I noticed: First time Blitz and Fizz meet in this ep, Fizz said "My horns were always bigger than yours". Later in the flashback scene, we see a small cut of Fizz's horns being burned and falling off.
Seriously, it's probably the best episode of season 2! I also love how Fizz doesn't immediately forgive Blitz. Like, yes, it was an accident. Yes, he also suffered because of it. That doesn't undo the damage he did, though But him owning uo to it and them discussing it is a good first step
That fact that fizzorali listened to what Blitzo had to say about the accident as well as forgive him from what happened. It gave Blitzo some hope that he managed to reconcile one of his relationships from the past. Even though there’s still some baggage going around and more questions left unanswered. This could give new light to how Blitzo sees himself and his current relationships.
Yes, but one thing that makes me love it even more is that Fizz doesn’t forgive him for what happened, like he understands now that it wasn’t intentional and Blitzø tried to reach out to him, and he wants to possibly be friends again, but as he says in sort of an off hand remark “and still like f*ck you but you didn’t completely ruin my life.” I like this idea more bc it shows you don’t always have to forgive in order to move forward and be friends with them.
@@islasullivan3463 I wouldn't say they are friends again, but they definitely don't hate each other anymore. As fizzaroli says at the end of the episode it's not that they are friends it's that blitz earned it.
the only relationship that blitz that could be hard to reconcile is with Barb since she still struggles to find a job and is hard to forget your own brother for killing your own mother into an fire
i actually enjoyed how fast their conflict was resolved. Fizz didn't actually forgive him yet, he's still mad at him, but he understands this was just a huga accident and it probably fucked up Blitzø's life more than his. their dynamic read a lot like twins for me, twins who grew up with each other since birth are really good at reading each other and have a really hard time keeping grudges (I'm a twin lol), the moment they realised neither of them really hated each other and they were manipulated by someone they just... didn't have a reason to fight anymore. this is a first step for Blitzø in getting over that trauma from that day, he really needed that talk with Fizz. edit: this episode also shows how easy it would have been to fix his relationships if he just *talked to people* and stop with his self hatred bullshit. if he just talked to stolas he would have seen the guy is in love with him. Blitzø just assumes everyone hates him and does nothing to fix it.
Yea I’m not surprised fizz forgave him so quickly after learning they just had a miscommunication. It’s been a longgg time and fizz seems super sweet and probably doesn’t want to hold onto the resentment
Agreed. Things AREN'T fixed completely, since a friendship wouldn't be the same after what happened, and that's normal. Whether it be stronger or weaker, we'd have to wait and see. He's not gonna forgive him completely, but it IS the first step to fixing things. It's not completely good and it's gonna need to take some time, which I think is good.
@@KSull6736 yeah and the nice thing is, he outright said he didn't forgive him. he just said "you know... if it's wasn't on purpose then we literally have no reason to hate each other, sure I'm disabled forever but I'm not ruined, i have a good life overall. I still don't forgive you and fuck you for ruining my limbs but like you didn't do it on purpose so you're not the asshole you thought you were".
@@theshipper5797Exactly. I think the final moment when Asmodeus talks about the crystals solidifies that while Fizz didn’t full forgive him, he’s still willing to understand and be nice to him. If things were fully resolved, he’d probably excitingly tell Asmo to give it to him cuz they’re cool now, but he’s more so like “ah fuck it” and decides to be nice because they got that talk “he earned it”.
Honestly, the whole issue between Fizz and Blitz being a misunderstanding is actually gosh darn relatable. In my own life and the lives of others around me, I've seen relationships destroyed or become toxic over less than that. People just not knowing how to communicate is arguably one of the big source of conflict and strife in human history as a whole.
I can see how it would fail with other characters, but Fizzarolli is established as a character who would actually listen once Blitzø finally started to explain himself.
I agree. It makes sense he listened because for the last 15 years he thought Blitz was a jealous, callous, A-hole who purposely burned him and given that Blitz created a bad reputation for himself, I am sure Fizz heard about how Blitz treated Verosika, he had no reason to contradict this belief. Seeing and hearing the raw emotion and remorse from Blitz was the biggest factor for Fizz to open himself up for forgiveness because it was obvious in that moment that Blitz did and still cared for him- I am also sure that Fizz missed Blitz being his best friend as you can't hate someone that much without having loved them once.
I think the reason they were able to bury the hatchet so fast is bc everything came to the forefront at once. Blitz couldn’t focus on the pettiness bc the immense guilt was also there, and fizz couldn’t hate him bc of his confession and empathizing with his side of things. I also think they just wanted to be friends again and being brought back together made them realize that they probably buried the hatchet a long time ago without realizing
Exactly Also like imagine if your best friend in the whole world did something you think ruined your life, then found out after 15 some years which has given you plenty of time to work things out and you find out it wasn't even really their fault and then the reason they didn't come to try and come see you after was also not their fault
The quick and easy resolve to Fizz and Blitz to me actually makes a ton of sense. Despite everything they were basically brothers. Fizz loved and adored Blitz and Blitz while yes he was upstaged, did love Fizz. Even after 15 years, hearing that the person you loved like that, especially when you have no one else, didn't betray you and did come for you, it's completely logical they wanted to make up. Even Fizz at the end talking to Ozzie wasn't 100% team Blitz but now they can both heal and hopefully come back stronger.
The key element here is that Fizz got a wonderful life after the accident and he never had to hold on to his resentment in order to survive, because he got all the love he needed. I think that's why it's so easy for him to forgive Blitzo and accept that a lot of it was just terrible luck.
something pretty sad i noticed, imps have white patches that are either beauty marks, freckles, or scars. obviously we know now what caused all of blitzø’s scars but i kinda wanted to talk about fizz’s. most of his body is now replaced by some flexible stretchy robot but the rest of his visible skin is white, well almost all of it. the only places that still have red are small places on his tail and most importantly his nose. it’s like being a performer and wearing a clown nose preserved one of the last parts of his healthy skin. outside of him being good at it, maybe that’s another reason he loves performing, it’s who he truly is 🤍
I honestly love this episode. It was nice that Blitzø and Fizzarolli got to patch some stuff up. Also Asmodeus and Fizzarolli’s relationship is so adorable... They have healthier relationship then Stolas and Blitzø throughout the entire series.
Personally, I think the two moments of them fixing their misunderstandings was a good thing. In the hug scene Fizz was surrounded by fire, and you could see how scared he was. It was like he was remembering the original fire that destroyed his body. And this time when he turned to see blitz, blitz immediately came running to his rescue and pulled him away from the disaster. I think that’s what made the reconciliation not feel rushed for me. Fizz saw that Blitz has been trying to change, and that he misunderstood everything that happened in the past and the Blitz didn’t actually want to abandon him, and that he wasn’t lying when he originally said that in the warehouse.
This is exactly what keeps me coming back to this show. For all the slapstick and crude humor this show has, they hit us with incredible writing and emotional scenes. The voice acting, the dialogue, the story, the facial expressions, the animation, the emotional music, etc. were all well done. And I love how Fizz was stuck in the middle of another fire, triggering his PTSD, only for Blitzø to save him with circus stunts. It was just a really good way to incorporate his circus background. This was a great episode.
I loved the Fact Fizz coming to the conclusion that this terrible accident gained him a relationship and popularity. It made it easier for him to forgive Blitzō and accept how things went. As someone that still cant let go of many things, this made me happy and it inspired me to search for these things in future especially when i do Therapy. What a nice Message.

I’m not sure I’d describe the fracture between them as “misunderstanding”, to me it felt as if there was deliberate sabotage there being implied, someone wanting to keep them apart. For me that’s a more interesting story line than if they’d kept them apart and Fizz as an antagonist, it was very refreshing to see Blitz actually mend his friendship when we’re questioning if he ever actually could.
They are portrayed as childhood friends with the added one sided romantic attraction on Blitz side. Just being besties is enough to understand why they make amends so quickly but they got all the package that says they're the kind of people that would never actually hate each other because they get along so well.
@@Passions5555as the audience we don’t actually know if fizz felt that romantic attraction blitz did and we probably won’t ever know because he’s with Ozzie now
@@kaylafairnbain8163honestly we might be able to get more into fizz as a child too. He’s shown up a lot and was in the second episode where the main characters are still being introduced. So I’m hoping we get to see more of him and blitz working on their relationship:)
I cannot stress enough how much I love that Stolas and Blitzo don’t interact in this episode. I absolutely _adored_ Stolas as a sort of straight-man character to Ozzie and just kind of, doing his thing in the background of the episode I guess? I think a lot of my enjoyment stems from the fact that I love seeing Stolas being allowed to be just a silly side character for once without every one of his actions being connected to his relationship with Blitzo. Sure, Blitzo is the reason Stolas went to see Ozzie in the first place, but after that, he kind of just stuck around to help Ozzie and was allowed room to breathe in the silly B-plot. He never even finds out that Blitzo was kidnapped along with Fizz and I’m so glad about that! It really allows the episode to focus on Blitzo and Fizz and their relationship. I don’t know, I just think seeing Stolas act as a minor character for one episode was a huge breath of fresh air lmao. x)
Yeah he just kinda got to let his nerd side out and got to be helpful to Ozzie even though he refused to give him the crystal. So Stolas and Ozzie possibly becoming friends, bc Stolas really needs one.
Yess!! These were my thoughts as well bcs a problem of the show (for me at least) was that in non Stolitz focused episodes their whole situation was just...forgotten? Or ignored like in episode 2 of S2. I know that it's very in character for both of them to act like nothing happened and it was more important to save Via at this point but it bugged me that the narrative never even once mentioned it!!
Yeah, sometimes Stolas has the same issue that Millie has. Being a love interest and that's it. We rarely see Stolas just doing his own thing, that isn't connected to Blitz, so seeing him just hang out with someone else is very refreshing.
I think my absolute favorite part of the episode was just that the clown nose protected his actual nose from the fire and is now a permanent part of him because of it. It's such a tiny but clever way to mix character design with backstory and I love it so much.
It's cool but I don't understand how a tiny clown nose saved his actual nose when he literally lost his limbs and was scarred white everywhere else on his face
I think their reconciliation happening after finally getting to talk to each other actually shows how much Blitz has grown and how he once was able to be open with someone. How we are with certain people we really like/love doesn't change much after the masks come off. This was a mask off moment for Blitz.
Honestly I am mostly interested in who kept them apart. It seems like it was very intentional that neither of them heard from each other, so I’m curious as to who was trying to separate them.
If I'm being honest I do like how things were resolved with the two of them. Also Fizz didn't entirely forgive him,but decided to cut him some slack in the end.
I actually really liked that this episode ended with Blitzo finally getting more of a win the emotional department. He makes himself more emotionally vulnerable and actually explains himself for probably the first time in the entire series, and I think him doing that and mending a relationship from his past was an important step for his character. It was maybe a little rushed, but I think the episode ending with Fizz at least partially forgiving him felt a little more fresh than their reconciliation getting dragged out. I’ve felt that Blitzo has been in need of some character development for a while now, and I’m hoping this episode sort of pushes that forward a bit. And I do agree with others that Fizz and Blitzo ending the episode on better terms doesn’t necessarily mean they’re friends again. I think there is still room to further explore how they could potentially become friends again.
Fizz’s quote “It’s hard to forgive you” and Blitzø’s “it’s still my fault” is what made me love this episode because it shows that NOT everything comes down to miscommunication. The trauma, the damage is still there. Fizz had to cope with it even if he now lives a healthy life. That is why I agree that the ending seemed to do the opposite and boil it down to simple miscommunication. Then again, Blitzø saved Fizz, so it’s justified. It will be interesting to see their future interactions, if we get any.
I'm actually relieved that the drama wasn't drawn out more. Finally we have a show that shows just how important communication is, and lets things be resolved when the characters just start talking. I am so sick of these miscommunications in shows drawing out hatred and drama for the sake of conflict. Helluva Boss already has enough conflict, so resolving Fizz and Blitzø this easily was refreshing, thematic, and wholesome. I just hope Fizz and Blitzø get to talk more as the show goes on.
I personally feel like the fact that the two of them literally grew up up together and were best friends up until late teens can help with the quickness of Fizz and Blitzo being willing to accept each other again.
Yesss, they were really important to each other, so once they learned it was someone else trying to keep them apart, it's understandable that they wanted to get back what they were robbed of - their chaotic yet beautiful relationship as friends
@@Lauren.E.OStolas says he was catching feelings. Maybe the crystal is a method of trying to tell Blitzø to stay away so that way neither has to worry about getting hurt again.
The resolution was fast, but I think it still worked well. Fizz seems far more together in his life and he more or less got over the incident, only getting bitter again after seeing Blitz again. Fizz didn't really seem like he was holding that much of a grudge, especially after piecing together that Blitz is in a very similar romantic situation Meanwhile, the fire seemed to be eating at Blitz ever sense it happened and he immediately took the blame for all of it. No excuses, no shifting blame, no finger pointing. He just admitted that, yes, it was all his fault
The way I saw it, they still cared for each other and felt hurt about what happened. Their open resentment towards each other was more of a defense mechanism, because it was easier to hate each other than to admit they're hurt. Even before they have their conversation about what happened, you can see how they care for each other - with Fizz accepting Blitzo's help to escape, and Blitzo protecting Fizz from gunshots. They care, they always cared, and now they finally got closure and could finally be honest with each other, and it's so sweet. Most importantly, I love that Blitzo finally got a healthy relationship instead of continuing to destroy them further
When young Blitzø accidentally started that fire, he had a love letter to Fizz. Going to possibly confess on Fizz's birthday, but accidentally nearly killing him instead 😭 Given Fizz is more communicative and open than Blitzø, it makes me wonder where that relationship will go in the future
Asmo is honestly one of my favorite characters in this show. He honestly is a pretty chill guy as long as you don’t mess with him or the things he love.
I'm surprised he can be so relaxed despite wearing such tight outfits, lol. Seriously, how did he manage to hide those guns in his stage outfit? Seeing him topless almost felt like redesign, haha. I imagined him much more slender. Well, then again, as Fizz said at 0:48, he's pretty good at fitting things in.
This was my favorite episode of the entire show so far. Fizz and Ozzie’s interaction was the most beautiful damn thing I’ve seen in an animated show so far. It’s so damn cute. I do admit that the the conflict between Fizz and Blitzø being resolved was pretty early. I love the latter’s apology and the vocal delivery. It tore my heart up that whole time. I do wonder *who* told them they didn’t want to see each other though. Also DID FIZZ JUST REFERENCE THE SQUIDWARD DANCE?! I love that Ozzie is the king of Lust, but values the development of relationships and is against love potions because that’s what modern witches also discourage using when it comes to making someone to like you. For some witches, love potions should be used to improve a relationship with both consenting parties or used as a self-love thing.
I think it was either Cash Buckzo (Blitzø’s dad) or Mammon who made an effort for Fizz and Blitzø not to see eachother for somewhat obvious reasons. This was also my favorite episode tho mostly because we got to see Fizzarolli again, him and Ozzie’s dynamic, and the past finally being shed on Fizz and Blitzø.
I love that it was dealt with so quickly because sometimes it really is just like that! They were basically family before the fire and just truly cared for one another. The main reason for their animosity was that lack of communication and thought of abandonment. It's so relieving to not have it be so drawn out since helluva boss already tends to do that when it comes to Blitz's relationships. He does care for people and he does want people to care back, so for him to finally have some type of closure with Fizz shows that he can have that with all the other characters too
For your point about Crimson trying to blackmail Ozzie: I feel like Crim probably didn't realize just how powerful Lust, as one of the Seven Deadly Sins, really is. It's already been established that Crim doesn't understand sexual preferences, as seen when he believes "gay" and "bisexual" are the same thing when talking to Moxxie in Crim's debut episode, so maybe Crim thought Lust was just big gatherings and boning whoever you want. After all, people who hear "lust" automatically assume it just means being horny for anyone you want and trying to get that sexual pleasure as fast and as soon as possible. With that kind of mental image, Crim probably viewed Ozzie as just a horny rich bird that wanted to bang anyone and everyone he could get his hands on, not one of the seven most powerful demons in all of Hell.
@@gavinziozios1431 I think that one was more just Crim wanting all of Ozzie's assets as his own to make bank. After all, Ozzie is one of the Seven Deadly Sins and a businessman, at that. If Crim had full control over Ozzie's factories, then Crim could make boatloads of money off of the sale of those toys to the members of the lust ring and essentially elevate himself to the level of one of the Seven Deadly Sins.
This might be over reading a bit, but Striker's involvement in this reflects how sex is often viewed as an unnecessary opulence of the rich, or at the very least, one of luxuries that they own but unearned. From the oversensastionalization of "Hollywood being sex degenerates", scandalising Queen Marie Antoinette's sex life, there's this drive to discredit social hierarchy by showing their weaknesses by tall tales, how their products have no means nor ends. Maybe for Crimson it's just pure ignorance, but for Stryker, this is almost... conservative ideology that blind to the role of sex in class struggles.
@@gavinziozios1431 I love this odd running gag of Crim and dildos. Like, this straight and serious idiot, definitely doing this for money, owning some of Asmodeous' assets that's all about sex and sexuality, which he seems to know very little about. The irony.
Not only is OzzFizz better than Stolitz, but it's HEALTHIER than the M&Ms too. It's nice to see that Ozzie, much like Bee seems to be just a chill guy on the DL, and the act in his club in the season 1 finale is just that...an act. I do wonder though, how Blitz would take to receiving an Asmodian Crystal from Stolas...because knowing him, he could take it as all his worst fears he told Fizz coming to life. This was a fun interesting way to see other villains come together in this episode too, felt like a crossover almost.
Tbh I don‘t think they‘re healthier than M&M but if they manage to communicate well with each other they could be one day. At the moment however I have to disagree, even tho they are really cute with each other
@@legobrickstudios21 mmm I dunno the episode "unhappy campers" showed that Mox really too much relies on Millie's positive affirmations and doesn't take her feelings into account. Sure they talk about that after, but the fact that it was never addressed until that point, where she broke down in TEARS, shows that their relationship wasn't entirely perfect.
@@meganek0597 I totally agree. M&M's represent a genuine relationship that develops over time and is based on trust and loyalty. On the other hand, OzzFizz has only appeared in one episode, and their lovey-dovey portrayal seems more like a gimmick than something well-thought-out or meaningful. But yass bara daddy and spindly twink!!11 is all that's needed to entertain the crowd these days.
@@meganek0597 not everything is perfect, relationships do indeed have moments, can't be a relationship with 0 problems, fights and arguments actually help learn about your partner more
I think them reconciling quickly makes a lot of sense. They were incredibly close (even if in hindsight all fizz sees is blitzø being jealous that wasn’t what he thought at the time) and so just like blitzø desperately wants to reconnect with people from his past like he tries with Barb, fizz probably wants his friend back just as badly and someone who he can relate to. After 15 years and his life going great, fizz doesn’t seem that angry and is instead just annoyed so it’s not like he does a complete 180. It’s great to see that with literally just a little communication shit got resolved because it sets a precedent for blitzø and he might be better at communicating in the future after the experience with fizz
It genuinely surprised me when Blitzo actually owned up to a mistake he made and apologized, instead of just blaming Fiz or just blowing him off. It actually gives me hope that Blitzo will learn to stop burning bridges and actually make real friends.
I really enjoyed this episode as Blitzø actually was able to salvage a relationship with someone close to him, so that was a nice place of progression. However, I do agree that Blitzø and fizzarolli’s reconciliation was a bit quicker than it probably should have, but overall I really liked the episode.
In defense of Fizz and Blitzø burruing the hatchet so soon, I think it makes sense considering his recent misadventure with Barbie - learning that he needs to be straightforward and push through it, as well as the fact that Fizz was his childhood best friend so he was on familiar terrain and had it easier due to that old friendship, I don't think it's really a writing flaw but character development Edit: And about the miscommunication part, I felt like Blitzø's response may indicate that he figured someone (Mammon? Ozzy?) Did that on purpose. There's also the connection to the hospital staff saying he can't see Barbie
Something else I think is very important for this story is that Fizz and Blitz still care for each other. If they didn't, those jabs wouldn't hurt so much for them. Blitz even says at one point that Fizz still cares what he thinks, which throughout their entire interaction till that point is true. They both care what the other thinks about them even while making jabs. There's a lot of resentment between them, but you see Fizz's anger melt away for a bit when Blitz confesses that it was all his fault despite it being an accident. Fizz and the audience clearly get to see how much the accident impacted Blitz. Fizz then gives a half-hearted "yeah well, what do you want a medal?" kind of speech as he tries to go back to being mad.
"As the only thing more burnt then his body, was his cooking" ( 1:51 ) I AM USEING THIS LINE IN CHARACTER AI FOR MY OC WHO WAS ALSO BAD AT COOKING AND BURNT IN A FIRE LMAO
I find it weird that Barbie Wire hates Blitz so much and I get it, he started the fire, he indirectly killed their mother, but all we see her do is run away just like Blitz?
I think she hates him due to more stuff than the fire, “ you’re all I had left” implies they’re relationship was already going downhill. I think he’s messed up with her (intentionally or unintentionally) multiple times.and pretty badly. I think she has already given him multiple chances but he’s burned them all.
In the leaked storyboard they actually showed Barbie run out of the tent their mother was in (im guessing it’s the tent the family lived in?) and stops to look back-most likely mortified-at where her mother was left For me personally 😭 im a little disappointed they cut that very brief moment of her out of the flashback in the actual episode
@@ksand12306 Makes me think things changed when they nailed down their timeline a bit more, given Blitz tells Fizz he was all he had left at that point. I think Barbie might have been out of the circus by that point.
My heart broke when Blitz said he also lost something in that fire, and it cut to a picture of his mom. Like omg. I can totally understand why Barbie hates Blitz because he indirectly killed their mom.
The backstory we've all been waiting for! Also what happened at the circus is probably why Blitz's sister don't like him now! Because she blames him! 💔
I'm not sure about that. He tells Fizz he was "the only one he had left". Which, coupled with the fact Barbie actually wasn't in this episode and that she doesn't seem to have any burn scars like the boys do, makes me think maybe their relationship had already started going downhill before the fire. Maybe the fire was the last straw for Barbie, but I think there might be more coming regarding her and him.
The episode was perfect in my opinion. Has the big three things I love for a episode. Big lore drops, extreme funny moments, and heartfelt moments. I got to say it is the best episode of season 2 so far in my opinion
Speaking of what happened to blitzo’s mom i feel like 2 things can definitely be true at once i think when the circus burned down everybody who made it out either blamed blitz (for many reasons) or everyone kinda just scattered/went their own ways as their whole lives just burned down in front of them and they would have to rebuild everything from the ground up. That would explain blitz not being able to find barb or fizz until recently. I also think that the mom’s speculated “sickness” could’ve left her weak and bed-bound and that explains why blitz went straight to her tent, as she wouldn’t have been able to get out herself (also think it’s possible that maybe he didn’t see fizz because his eye or his mom was the whole reason he didn’t get fizz out himself, he realized she couldn’t get out by herself and instead of going to get fizz help he tried to save her instead) but that’s just a theory
The ONE part where I’ll have to strongly disagree with you is about Fizz’s song being too long. That shit absolutely slaps and it’s always over too soon whenever I re-listen to it. Every time an episode comes out I see people going « oh, I hit replay on the song so many times! » and I could never personally relate, but _this one??_ It just hits me different. It’s a masterpiece. I need a ten hours version.
this is more of a structural analysis than a quality assessment, i don't think it was a critique of the song necessarily as much as of its length just not really being narratively justified with the context of the scene the song was fire as fuck, and they couldve uploaded a standalone extended version for the people who were more focused on the song than the narrative in that scene
@@mirulei Hahaha yeah I suppose you’re right, but I was personally never bothered by the space the song takes up in the episode or by the pause it marks in the story since it didn’t bore me for even one second. x)
One thing I haven’t seen many people talking about is that Ozzie and Stolas seem a lot closer than previously thought, on top of Blitz and Fizzie. Ozzie only seems to have made fun of Stolas to keep his image clean.
I honestly like how this episode is structured. Yeah everything is resolved very VERY quickly, but i cant help but think that thats exactly the point. This whole time, all they needed was an honest conversation about their feelings- something that blitz has been avoiding this whole show, especially with stolas. This is the first situation in which blitz was actually honest and VULNERABLE with his feelings and something good came out of it. This will hopefully impact the way hes going to handle emotional situations like this in the future!
I'm noticing a pattern that almost everyone from the 7 Deadly Sins upwards is very chill and friendly (When they're not angry), which is a surprise considering the amount of power they have.
We’ve only encountered two so far and it makes sense because both lust and gluttony are seen as indulgences that people enjoy it only makes sense there personification are either friendly or chill. I imagine that the ones we have to worry about are envy wrath and greed.
Blitz has been given a giant chance in this episode, one of the most if not THE most important of his past relationships is beginning to reconcile, i don’t believe that Fizz 100% forgives Blitz and is not at the “friends again” level with Blitz yet as I believe that the hug was a moment of gratefulness of Blitz saving him. But from this moment Fizz will allow Blitz to try to make amends and will be patient in doing so, but Blitz at the very least is happy that Fizz can be back in his life and probably is the happiest in this episode than we have ever seen him. The question for now is will Blitz squander the chance that has been given him, I hope not but it is very possible that he could.
I get that everything was resolved quickly but honestly it was tiring to see characters whose relationship to Blitzo was just scream and berate him, so Fizz being this guy who actually listens to Blitz was really refreshing, Fizz overall was refreshing, being a non violent person in hell and also sensitive, its true that the issue should not have being resolved so quickly but since Fizz problem was the abandonment and not the accident, you could tell he missed Blitz so he took him back as soon as everything was cleared up, it felt rushed but honestly I dont think we missed any interesting dinamic, if anything Blitz having a good relationship is interesting and new
12:48 i dont think this scene was JUST about blitzø loosing his mom in the fire, but rather how he lost all of his family (his mom and sister) at once due to the fire. Its implied by how the fire split the photo, first his mom burns then it tears apart blitzø and barbie wire.
7:56 ‘the bird boys’ had me wheezing- I wanna see more of Stolas and Ozzie interacting though. Like the two have so much in common, and could have such a good friendship dynamic
True, but we don’t know yet if they’re friends again. That hug could’ve just been forgiving the past instead of rekindling a relationship that ended back when they were both very different people, and when Blitzo in particular was a lot less traumatized and hostile towards anyone who treats him with affection and respect. Still, I do hope they can be friends again…
This was without a doubt the most epic episode yet! Getting to see what Fizz and Ozzie's relationship is like was very interesting! And it was awesome that we got to see what more of Lust and Greed looked like at the same time! It was especially a real treat to see Crimson and Striker again and working together no less. In fact I'm amazed that people in the HB fandom didn't theorize that Crimson and Striker would probably team up to bump off I.M.P. the whole time. And like everyone else I was happy that Blitz and Fizz finally made up and are now somewhat friends again. It was even interesting to see Blitz and Fizz as teenagers in that flashback just as it was to also learn that people's theories about how Blitz was involved in Fizz's accident were correct, Same goes for people's theories about Stolas giving Blitz and Asmodean crystal. Hell hearing Stolas finally admit that he has developed genuine feelings for Blitz was ever so satisfying! But Blitz sadly still has a long way to go in their relationship. But Stolas's feelings for Blitz is good enough relationship development for now.
I think the reconciliation works because Fizz, spite his sass, is actually very emotionally mature, yes, he is still angry with Blitz about what happened, but it never felt like he completely closed the door in trying to talk about the accident. We know how shame avoidant Blitz is, so it’s not a surprise that after a short while trying to reach out, he actually stopped trying. Every mention of their past was seen through Blitz perspective, and I’m sure he saw Fizz as basically the living embodiment of his worst mistake, the one that gave him a scar, mangled his best friend, killed his mom e destroyed his relationship with his sister, so no wonder his resentment towards the Robot Fizz. This is the first time we saw Fizz for what he is, not this grand villain/antagonist, just a normal dude that wants to live a comfortable life with the one he loves, this episode does break our expectation of Fizz, but I think it was intentional and for the better.
Did the Fizz/Blitz beef boiling down to MISCOMMUNICATION feel a little too easy?
Not really. Sometimes it just be like that
Not at all imo. It happens a lot and I can definitely see Fizz's early on management turning away "distractions" or something
I love how apparently Blitzo has been on his “horse thing” for over 15 years. Enough for Fizz to be like “Still!?”
well little blitzø was already hyperfixated on horses when he was young (fun fact about their legs stopping working when the horses eat too much sugar when he was like 10 👍 in the circus episode. like you know that because you're either book worm (I'm looking at you baby stolas) or a kid learning everything he can about his favorit animal.)

If the person is willing. We saw his talk with Barb didn't go so well, despite his best efforts
@@dflaming1371understanding the position of who you are speaking to is PART of communication. Just spilling your guts out without listening isn't communication that will fix anything -- at best it makes YOU feel better.
Without some form of scene where blitz talks it out *and it works* he will not grow and learn to do so *with stolas.*
The barbie wire ep was him trying and failing, but him TRYING AGAIN SO SOON shows that he is growing as a character.

I feel like the conflict between Blitz and Fizz being resolved so quickly isn’t actually a bad thing. As it shows that being apart for so long is a big part of why the two dislike each other so much, they’ve had so much time to dwell on each other without any communication, and actually shows what a lot of Blitz’s relationships are, a lack of communication, Stolas and Blitz’s problems would be pretty much solved if they just sat down and talked for like 5 minutes, just as Fizz and Blitz’s were
😢 God, please let them talk
this is a BIG BRAIN comment
This episode was adorable and heartfelt, Blitz finally got a relationship W for once in his life

Ngl was waiting on the tragedy happy blitz got a W for once
I think one major reason I don't have that big of a problem with the misunderstanding thing and quick solving of it, is that Blitzø and Fizz were such big friends in the past that they, while it still being 15 years, just can't help but make up so fast because they FINALLY wanna be friends again and are REALLY relieved after explaining themselves.
Fr fr!!
yea and it feels realistic 😭
I totally agree! It was all a misunderstanding, and true friendship means they REALLY wanted to be close. There wasn’t actually anything between them that went wrong, they were just told things by others. So it makes sense that when they meet again they click again so well. It’s like not seeing a friend for a long time but when you finally do it’s like you were never apart. But add on the relief of realizing the hurt you thought they caused u wasn’t what you thought!
I think there's probably a little more working on their relationship to do, but next episode is also supposedly Fizz themed.
Agreed. I don’t have much contact with my old best friend from high school, but when we do chat every few months or something, it’s like our friendship really never stopped. We’ve had our fair share of fights and problems, but there’s no one else I can come back to like her. Some friendships are just built different 🥲

I love that Crimson and Striker teamed up to capture Blitzø and Fizz, the amount of characters they’ve introduced finally feels more natural rather then just stockpiling more characters upon each other
At first I thought Striker was Moxxie's half brother but that seems to be not true

One of my favorite things in this epsiode was actually Stolas
We haven't really gotten to see him in another context than his family or his relationship with Blitz, and it was wonderful to just see him geek out over papers and actually have a conversation that isn't dramafilled
We got more birb noises toooooo 🤗
definitely, it’s nice to see a heartwarming moment with him that isn’t going to break anyone even though technically it is still a circumstance revolving around his family and Blitz as the conversation began with Blitz and Ozzie and Stolas are kinda related as both are members of the Ars Goetia
Yesss!!! I hope to see Ozzie and Stolas’ friendship grow
And by the way Ozzie talked seems like he just humilliated him because he needed to but wasn't with the intention of hatming Stolas, and didn't knew the situation with Stella.
@@TP-bw5jxHis snoring is so adorable 😭
I personally love that Fizz was so forgiving after learning the truth, like some part of him really wanted Blitz to just be his friend again all that time. Who doesn't remember a friend who just kindof fell out of your life for stupid reasons or circumstances and, despite a lack of action by that friend, wish they had that friendship back? (Not that a horrible, life-changing fire is anything stupid)
Also OMG THE ANIMATION IN THIS EPISODE IS SO GOOD, I CAN'T GET OVER IT!!
Then again, I'm biased because my god, Blitzø finally got a personal win, and I needed that
I definitely saw it as "Let's try again" rather than "Everything's okay now"
There's also the fact someone kept them apart by lying and saying Fizz didn't want to see Blitzø while fizz was told Blitzø never tried to visit.
Maybe Fizz can help Blitzø make his situation better and actually TALK to Stolas 😭😭
ya. im not expecting them to be buddy buddy. but this was def a moment of understanding and a start to forgivness. having finally spoken about the incident they can finally at least START to move on properly.
I love that Fizz wasnt entirely hateful of Blitz saying that “He never told anyone that he didn’t want to see Blitz”

He easily forgave because despite the years of misunderstanding, they both still cared for each other deep down. Fizz is such a likable and mature character, he deserves what he has on his life now

as someone who has first-hand experience in the "alienation from someone you love by the hands of others that you love" trope, i can tell you that when the truth is revealed, it's like a huge weight off your chest, but then another huge weight put back on it. it's the "so you didn't betray me, but someone still did" realization. having a common enemy does wonders for uniting people
Same and agreed.

… Yeah? I understand what you noticed, it’s literally what happened in the episode

It was what fans wanted. This bugs me a bit. This was really good but I don't thing making what fans say is good to a serie.
Same!
I agree! This is my favorite ep of season 2 yet
Yes, but one thing that makes me love it even more is that Fizz doesn’t forgive him for what happened, like he understands now that it wasn’t intentional and Blitzø tried to reach out to him, and he wants to possibly be friends again, but as he says in sort of an off hand remark “and still like f*ck you but you didn’t completely ruin my life.”
I like this idea more bc it shows you don’t always have to forgive in order to move forward and be friends with them.
@DontReadMyProfilePicture.104ok
@@islasullivan3463 I wouldn't say they are friends again, but they definitely don't hate each other anymore.

^That’s true.
the only relationship that blitz that could be hard to reconcile is with Barb since she still struggles to find a job and is hard to forget your own brother for killing your own mother into an fire
i actually enjoyed how fast their conflict was resolved.
I want Stolas and Ozzie to become besties. They are actually just so cute together, and Stolas honestly just needs a goddamn friend.
I'm still waiting for a type of couples episode, that would be interesting to see
I personally like how fast Blitzø and Fizz made up, really shows how powerful open communication can be and how truly strong their friendship is
I can see how it would fail with other characters, but Fizzarolli is established as a character who would actually listen once Blitzø finally started to explain himself.
Exactly
Also like imagine if your best friend in the whole world did something you think ruined your life, then found out after 15 some years which has given you plenty of time to work things out and you find out it wasn't even really their fault and then the reason they didn't come to try and come see you after was also not their fault
Catradora if they just communicated
I think that's why it's so easy for him to forgive Blitzo and accept that a lot of it was just terrible luck.
something pretty sad i noticed, imps have white patches that are either beauty marks, freckles, or scars. obviously we know now what caused all of blitzø’s scars but i kinda wanted to talk about fizz’s. most of his body is now replaced by some flexible stretchy robot but the rest of his visible skin is white, well almost all of it. the only places that still have red are small places on his tail and most importantly his nose. it’s like being a performer and wearing a clown nose preserved one of the last parts of his healthy skin. outside of him being good at it, maybe that’s another reason he loves performing, it’s who he truly is 🤍
He's all burned up like Deadpool.
His aesthetic was right on the money while hinting at the horror he actually went through.
Not gonna lie Fizz's genuine confusion for Blitz's horse thing and still having it after 15 years is so fucking real 😂
Fizz and Asmodeus are officially the CUTEST couple in the series, even more than Millie and Moxxi in my opinion.
I honestly love this episode. It was nice that Blitzø and Fizzarolli got to patch some stuff up. Also Asmodeus and Fizzarolli’s relationship is so adorable... They have healthier relationship then Stolas and Blitzø throughout the entire series.
Blitz’s smile when Fizz says things with Ozzy are fantastic warmed my soul
Honestly during that scene I literally said omg he's doing circus stuff to save him.

Is it one sided though? I thought half the bitterness from Fizz was partially do to him having feelings for Blitz beyond friendship too.

I liked it, because it showed a little more to Stolas than just his passion for Blitz. He had a *personality*
Yeah, sometimes Stolas has the same issue that Millie has. Being a love interest and that's it. We rarely see Stolas just doing his own thing, that isn't connected to Blitz, so seeing him just hang out with someone else is very refreshing.
Fr fr!! cuz imagine if Stolas did know 👀
I think my absolute favorite part of the episode was just that the clown nose protected his actual nose from the fire and is now a permanent part of him because of it. It's such a tiny but clever way to mix character design with backstory and I love it so much.
I never noticed that, holy sheet.
Anyone else thought that was his beak
It's cool but I don't understand how a tiny clown nose saved his actual nose when he literally lost his limbs and was scarred white everywhere else on his face
I thought I was the only one who noticed!!
Omg I didn't notice that!
The answer is they did it
It was probably buckso tbh, he wouldn’t want blitz to be around Fizz after what he would no doubt blame blitz for, just like how Barbie probably does

Agreed! I hate the miscommunication trope
Stolas seeing Fliz and Ozzie happy together definitely gave him hope for his and Blitzo's relationship
I feel like Blitzo is going to take getting that crystal as Stolas saying he’s done with him, which has the potential to go VERY badly.
Fizz didn't really seem like he was holding that much of a grudge, especially after piecing together that Blitz is in a very similar romantic situation
Meanwhile, the fire seemed to be eating at Blitz ever sense it happened and he immediately took the blame for all of it.
I was so hyped watching this episode
Me too

Asmo is honestly one of my favorite characters in this show. He honestly is a pretty chill guy as long as you don’t mess with him or the things he love.
I'm surprised he can be so relaxed despite wearing such tight outfits, lol.
Seriously, how did he manage to hide those guns in his stage outfit?
Seeing him topless almost felt like redesign, haha. I imagined him much more slender.
Well, then again, as Fizz said at 0:48, he's pretty good at fitting things in.
@@LinkEXwell he is the embodiment of lust, and with lust comes kinks so who knows what else he is capable of.
I mean, if you ignore all the vibrator factories that Ozzie was working in that Crim seemed strangely intent on having, sure
I feel like ozzie would defo have to power to teleport there but he doesn't wanna risk fizz in any way
@@gavinziozios1431 I love this odd running gag of Crim and dildos.
@@TheRibottoStudiosbecause relationships cant have a few bumps along the way, they always have to be perfect
In defense of Fizz and Blitzø burruing the hatchet so soon, I think it makes sense considering his recent misadventure with Barbie - learning that he needs to be straightforward and push through it, as well as the fact that Fizz was his childhood best friend so he was on familiar terrain and had it easier due to that old friendship, I don't think it's really a writing flaw but character development
Edit:
And about the miscommunication part, I felt like Blitzø's response may indicate that he figured someone (Mammon?
For me I loved that episode because it was the most detailed episode ever, like damn the animators are stepping up their game
ong top tier stuff
I hope Stolas can become a sort of assistant for Asmodeus, because he was doing a damn good job at it
Oooo (Stolas & Ozzie vs Stella & Andrealphus)
@@danaugg9183Asmodeus wrecks not only Stella and Andrealphus, he wrecks crimson, Striker and every goon by himself
I find it funny that the literal embodiment of Lust has one of the healthiest relationship of the show
"As the only thing more burnt then his body, was his cooking" ( 1:51 ) I AM USEING THIS LINE IN CHARACTER AI FOR MY OC WHO WAS ALSO BAD AT COOKING AND BURNT IN A FIRE LMAO
I find it weird that Barbie Wire hates Blitz so much and I get it, he started the fire, he indirectly killed their mother, but all we see her do is run away just like Blitz?
That wasn't Barbie. The ballerina's horns are a different shape and her eyes are different. Barbie doesn't actually seem to have been there that day.
I think she hates him due to more stuff than the fire, “ you’re all I had left” implies they’re relationship was already going downhill.
I think he’s messed up with her (intentionally or unintentionally) multiple times.and pretty badly. I think she has already given him multiple chances but he’s burned them all.
In the leaked storyboard they actually showed Barbie run out of the tent their mother was in (im guessing it’s the tent the family lived in?) and stops to look back-most likely mortified-at where her mother was left
For me personally 😭 im a little disappointed they cut that very brief moment of her out of the flashback in the actual episode
Also who knows what Buckso told her (if he survived)
I am glad we finally got some of Blitzo's backstory. Even if most of us saw it coming, it was still heartbreaking.
This has been my favourite episode yet! Only wish is that Blitzø would acknowledge Moxies dad Crim even just a line “oh moxies terrible father”
The episode was perfect in my opinion. Has the big three things I love for a episode. Big lore drops, extreme funny moments, and heartfelt moments. I got to say it is the best episode of season 2 so far in my opinion
Speaking of what happened to blitzo’s mom i feel like 2 things can definitely be true at once
i think when the circus burned down everybody who made it out either blamed blitz (for many reasons) or everyone kinda just scattered/went their own ways as their whole lives just burned down in front of them and they would have to rebuild everything from the ground up. That would explain blitz not being able to find barb or fizz until recently. I also think that the mom’s speculated “sickness” could’ve left her weak and bed-bound and that explains why blitz went straight to her tent, as she wouldn’t have been able to get out herself (also think it’s possible that maybe he didn’t see fizz because his eye or his mom was the whole reason he didn’t get fizz out himself, he realized she couldn’t get out by herself and instead of going to get fizz help he tried to save her instead)
but that’s just a theory
Wasn't his mom already dead before he met stolas when h was a kid cuz the dad mentioned her
@@JJisthatbtch well his dad mentioned “helping” him and his mother out so assuming at that point she’s probably still alive
I need a ten hours version.
this is more of a structural analysis than a quality assessment, i don't think it was a critique of the song necessarily as much as of its length just not really being narratively justified with the context of the scene
the song was fire as fuck, and they couldve uploaded a standalone extended version for the people who were more focused on the song than the narrative in that scene
@@mirulei Hahaha yeah I suppose you’re right, but I was personally never bothered by the space the song takes up in the episode or by the pause it marks in the story since it didn’t bore me for even one second. x)
I disagree with his stance on the length of the song because the whole point of it was to be a distraction for blitz. It HAD to be long.
One thing I haven’t seen many people talking about is that Ozzie and Stolas seem a lot closer than previously thought, on top of Blitz and Fizzie. Ozzie only seems to have made fun of Stolas to keep his image clean.
I love seeing that fizz takes his scars and makes it better for his career
7:56 ‘the bird boys’ had me wheezing-
I wanna see more of Stolas and Ozzie interacting though. Like the two have so much in common, and could have such a good friendship dynamic
Blitzo deserved a relationship win and also some good mental health boosting. Having Fizz as a Friend again should help Blitz heal.
For the two of them having similar trauma I feel like this was fixed quickly cause they were that close as friends.
