Giselle is the classic ballet of the Romantic era - and, for the dancer performing the title role, one of the greatest challenges in the repertory. Peter Wright’s production, a classic itself, perfectly achieves the dual aspects of the ballet, moving from the naivety of young love between Giselle and Albrecht in the village setting of Act I to the ethereal Wilis in Act II’s eerie moonlit forest. Rich in vivid character detail and poignant depth of feeling, Giselle is a reminder of ballet’s power to move and thrill.

Después de.ver una y otra vez a.Marianela Nuñez interpretar Giselle, ninguna puede compararse. Ustedes en el Royal saben que.tienen una.joya y como se llama NELA !!!!! Tienen muchas bailarinas pero tienen alguien que es el ballet. !!!!

@@lidiademarco7253 Nela is indeed a fantastic ballerina and now finally the prima of the Royal Ballet.
But Yasmine Naghdi is an amazing ballerina, who displays her pure classical technique in every role. Her interpretive skills are finely nuanced and her musicality is more than apparent in every role. Her interpretation of Aurora in 2019 was THE performance of the season.
Comparing Yasmine Naghdi to Marianela Nunez is nonsense as they are completely different dancers and not forgetting that Nela is 39 years old with 10 more experience than Yasmine.

Just lovely, thank you. I bought myself - for Xmas last year - the DVD from the royal ballet of Natalia Osipova and Carlos Acosta in Giselle. What a treat. These two pair very well together. Hope we can see more. 👵👵👵🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🩰🩰🩰
