I feel you are adding more color in your life because with Claire's arrival came the rainbow. Just an idea: How about making some of the recipes on the bread box and of course, bringing us along. You could start with banana bread, one of my favorites.

I always find the glass flower frogs, but the wire ones are really hard to find in New England. I'm in a NE state not far from NJ. =) I have a nice collection of glass but am always looking for wired ones. They are so nice to put Christmas cards in, announcements, post cards, recipes - anything you want to showcase that month - scriptures, anything. =) You're smart to buy Claire's toys 2nd hand. You will find (I've raised 2 daughters) that they get to an age where you want to invest in some brand-new collections that are meaningful to them, (and that you will save forever!) - but in order to support those purchases, it's very wise to shop the 2nd hand stores for toys! You're a very old soul for a young lady in her 20's. I love that about you. =)
Do second hand for clothes too! They go thru them so fast. When they get older they will have their “likes”

That cookie jar is amazing. I remember prints like that in families homes growing up. It looks like something called cross stitching, my grandmother did that and I remember all her walls were covered in those prints. Great haul girlfriend ❣️

Hi Genevieve. I just wanted to share this bit of information with you. Your bowl is called a Cinderella eared bowl. The "ears" serve as handles as well as pour spouts. These are nesting bowls with four to a set, so there's your motivation to be on the hunt for the other three. 😄

I have fond memories of going to my grandmother’s and getting cookies from it. I asked him for it after she passed. I was thrilled that he said, yes! All of your finds are amazing finds. Love everything!! I incorporated my Mom‘s blue/white Pyrex Butterprint mixing bowl set into my kitchen just before she passed two years ago; she gave it to me and told me to use it with her love, and I think of her every time I use the set. Cooking the same types of foods with the same recipes that she used to use when she used these bowls when I was growing up. They make me so happy and I know if you keep things like your bowl for Claire, when she gets older, perhaps she will enjoy cooking with them as much as I have with my Mom‘s set.

I love your haul. Especially the crock and the suggestion of how you use it and the tip for putting the sticky things on the bottom . I’ll be looking for those to use that way . I have the next size down from that crock and using it in our master bathroom for my hair ties and accessories for my hair. I love it . I have the same color one as yours . I bought for $4-5 at a local thrift store awhile back.

When you had shown the bread box previously, I thought so 60s/70s, because there was an emerging interest in vintage and antiques around that time. I remember there even being 1930s/1940s style dresses in department stores. I love vintage Fisher Price. I have a collection of Fisher Price pull toys, so those animals are my favorites.
It's surprising what we do and change when we become mum's 😅. They add so much sunshine into our lives, that we find ourselves adding to it. I think my favorite item is the cookie jar, it's gorgeous 💞

Another piece of good information about your Pyrex bowl…they are not microwave safe. They were made for the oven. My husband microwaved in one of mine and it exploded inside. I did some research and found that the kind of glass they are made from is not for the type of heat a microwave creates.
Another tip is to wash them by hand because a dishwasher will cause the finish to become etched and eventually very due looking. I’ve even seen some owls where the pattern is almost gone.
As for my favorite piece, I have three favorites…….the crock, the egg basket and the flower frog.
I have a collection of Pyrex. Mine is the turquoise ones with the Amish couple and the roosters called Butterprint. I found a full set of three bowls at a yard sale for $10. The older couple selling them asked if I was going to resell and my friend adamantly said no! So they went inside and gifted me another full set of the Cinderella bowls, two full sets of the round stacking bowls, multiple refrigerator dishes with their lids and several other matching pieces.
Wow, that was so generous of that couple!! I snagged a few pieces of butter print too (you’ll see soon 🤪) it’s soooo pretty!

Hi sweetie! When my Mom passed away 27yo I kept her pyrex. WELL while antiquing my middle daughter became obsessed with pyrex & she took mine too. Now that her & her future hubby have a home, she removed some kitchen cabinets to show her collection, which is quite large now. If you are ever in Pa. go to Slatington Antique Mall cause they have a few booths just of pyrex plus many other goodies. Its our favorite place!! BTW love that you are bringing color into your home!! ❤️❤️

Love all your finds! Great hack for crock bottoms for are. I’ve been doing the same thing for other items as well. Saves counter tops from scratches.
I vividly remember my grandmothers candy dish, my mother’s cookie jar because of their unique characteristics! Such fond memories sneaking cookies out of that jar. Lol. My daughter will always remember our bread box and jar light on counter because I purchased with making memories over 20 years ago.

My favorite is the bowl. My mom had a set of those, hers were turquoise. I love the addition of some color. It makes your decor homey! I think that bread box is from the 60s or 70s, it's really cute!

Wow you got some great finds love everything I am looking for small crocks hard to find in the places I go to my mom had Pyrex dishes and bowls when I was growing up I don’t know what happened to them. Love the bread box ❤

The pyrex bowl is Early American pattern. I have all the sizes and absolutely love them. They also have casserole dishes in the same pattern. Love all your finds! ❤️

I liked the bread box! I was thinking maybe it wasn’t vintage, but from the 80s…. Oh wait!.. that’s 40 years ago!!😳 it has a simple enough pattern to go with anything and makes for some great storage as well! I loved the dish towels in a crock idea. I have a crammed full drawer of towels that drives me crazy! My daughter uses that same size crock for her sourdough starter.
I’m enjoying seeing how you are making different color choices and such now that you have a little one 😍 the Little People animals are so cute… I’m a Grandma and remember every one of those. My kids AND grandkids played with them♥️♥️

The Pyrex Cinderella bowls are my favorite! I have glass cabinets that I keep mine in to display, but I do use them for food. I especially love the small ones for soups bowls. I hand wash all my Pyrex, a dishwasher will damage the gaze. Peek is a great product you can use to get off black marks. You just have to be careful when using it. It's a mild abrasive.

Your bowl is from the 1960s. I got the whole set for a shower gift in 1967. Enjoy! Love all of your finds. ❤

I love Pyrex bowls, I have a couple different sets of them, the only thing I recommend is don't put them in the dishwasher, because eventually the color or pattern will wear off.💕

I have been going crazy looking for an egg basket and no luck. But I found a crock that says gease and also found a tin grease container with strainer I have been after for yearssss I remember as a kid my mom having one so I have been on the hunt! I found one 4 towns away🎉❤
So fun to hunt for those things! Sometimes it does take traveling which I like! Lol new places to venture to 😊

🤦🏻♀️I think of all the little people my son had, so many things I wanted to keep but have to be practical🙄But I have some wooden toys saved and favorite books of course, and some special clothes. He just turned 24 and said “I’m not sure I want kids”🤦🏻♀️ Be still my heart💔Let’s hope he changes his mind! But I will tell you, many times he says I remember…..and it’s very cool when you still have the things your children grew up with and they treasure them, yes even cookie jars😂
