This is such a great idea to put them on your steps! You are right; this makes it so much easier to show and tell! I love your ironstone collection! Take care and God bless. Sincerely, Diane from Missouri. 😊
Good morning Genevieve, I really needed a pick me up this morning. Drove straight through from Minnesota to Missouri to see my stepdad before he passes. Left Saturday morning and was back home last night by 8 pm. Your video was the first notification I got this morning when I opened up UA-cam. I love all the pieces you have so carefully and lovingly collected. It brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you for sharing.
Thankyou for sharing the beautiful ironstone, Genevieve! You were the one that inspired my collecting of ironstone. My favorite is the pitcher with the striped looking staining that you "bee lined" to get to!! I think you can tell if it's ironstone if you hold it up, dangle it and strike it with something like a spoon. If it makes a ringing belltone sound it's ironstone. I also get ironstone and restaurant ware mixed up. Stained, crazed restaurant ware and yellow ware mixing bowls are nice to mix with ironstone for stacking.
You are so dang adorable. .Like I just can’t ! Thank you so much . I too love ironstone ! I have a couple cheat pieces in my hutch until I find the real things . I even glaze new pieces to look old. LOL ( no one can even tell..shhhhh) but ironstone is so hard to find ! My other is yellow ware ! I only have 4 bowls. But that journey began after seeing Deb and Danielles collection ! Holy cow ! I just sit and stare at their home and memorize everything ! I started laughing because my husband , who watches you over my shoulder said “ You should ask her why she didn’t do this video with Claire!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂 He seriously thinks you are a mini me. He never knows what either one of us is going to say!
*Hi Genevieve❣️💛 The "unusual" pitcher you showed to us with the hole 🕳 in the spout up front - as opposed to the typical wide open pour spout - is called an "ice 🧊 lip" pitcher. This type of spout was made especially for cold beverages that are served with ice cubes in the pitcher, keeping the beverage cold, 🥶 like lemonade, 🍋 iced tea or soda pop. The ice lip 💋 keeps the ice cubes 🧊 inside the pitcher as you pour - instead of them unceremoniously "plopping" into the glass you're pouring your lemonade into and causing a splash-over mess. 😟🙊🤪* *I enjoyed this video very much. I believe your larger oval chunky "soap dishes" are actually restaurant ware used in "supper clubs" of the past for "side dishes" that needed to be popped under the broiler for a few minutes before serving. Typically, they would be filled with a side-dish portion of escalloped potatoes 🥔 🧀😋 and then topped with grated cheddar cheese, 🧀 put under the broiler until the cheese was browned, crispy and bubbly - and then served to the diner "on the side" - also known as "ala carte."* *Your collection is lovely, Genevieve❣️😁🤍 We would get along great shopping for our Ironstone collections, because you are looking for the stained, crazed pieces - and I am looking for the white pieces, LOL. 😉😊🥰*
OMG. You did it! AMAZING collection. bless you for bringing us this collection. Cant imagine what the rest of your home looks like this moment. I only say that because I know what what my house would look like if I showed my entire collection to the internet! THANK YOU!
Genevieveseeing your ironstone on your staircase was a great way to see each piece well!!Can't wait to see how you place them all in your hutch!!!P.S.You look so pretty today, your hair and makeup!!!!!😁❤👍
Wow looking at all the pieces there like that.. Looks like you have twice as much than when we see then in the hutch! We can really see all the pieces & how many you really do have! And so many really cool pieces too😊 Just Amazing! And your love for ironstone is just like none other! You really should start using your google Lens, especially on those pieces you're unsure of! There's no telling how many rare or valuable pieces you have! Thank you for sharing & I'm excited to see how you restyle your hutch! Also I'm pretty sure this if the largest collection I've seen! I'm thrilled for you, that you can find & rescue the pieces you love so much.. TFS😊
Hi there. I found the spoon rest in your Heartland Stoneware pattern. It was a few dollars at my local Goodwill and I’d be happy to send it to you for your collection. It’s adorable. 😊
My friend, your collection is amazing 😍 I’m a compote, cake stand and tureen lover myself. A glass cabinet full of cake stands with greenery sitting on them takes my breath away. There’s a rare antique French patisserie stand I would love to have, they usually sell for $200 and up so that’s a goal to save for 😂
Hi Genevieve Love your ironstone pieces. I find some pieces but ironstone is hard to find in my area. Ive never seen the pitchers like you have even at antique stores Love to you and your family Young old we all age definitely not affended iam 66 and its just my age Be content with who you are. ❤❤❤
You have a wonderful collection, it’s so wonderful seeing a young woman that absolutely loves vintage and antique items! Keep collecting and keep enjoying!
Genevieve, I am absolutely sweating myself absolutely overwhelmed. You have quite the amazing collection of beautiful ironstone I have less than half of that. It’s very hard here in Ontario Canada to find true pieces for reasonable prices or at all ❤❤❤
Wonderful video crazy hoarder lady! 😂 😂 Seeing all your beautiful pieces laid out like this I can only imagine how much fun you will have decorating with them when you and Nick find the wonderful farmhouse of your dreams!
You have a gorgeous ironstone collection! So many unique pieces. My favorite collection is cream and green enamelware. I still love scoring a new piece that I've never seen and I have been collecting it for 30 plus years! The thrill of the hunt never goes away. You should make a plate rack, then you could display the platters and plates with their stamped sides up they are so beautiful.
I don’t like chips o crazing but you do you. I a 71, soon 72 and still collecting some ironstone. I guess when I stop it will be time for me to go to heaven.
I am 68 and glad Genevieve enjoys her ironstone. I don’t actually ever follow the craze, I just follow what I love! I’m very lucky because in the 80’s I fell hard for Victorian everything…. I still do & now the Victorian things I love have finally came down to exceptionally low prices. So thank you ladies for loving/ collecting your ironstone, rolling pins, brass candle sticks, basket etc. my marble top tables I’ve paid $350-$500 yrs. ago are now selling for $50-$100… my only fear is that the “Dark Moody Look” will catch on. I enjoy watching the ladies here on UA-cam show us their goodies & respect what they buy. I feel we are all entitled to buy & enjoy what we love….life is too short not to!!
I have a very small ironstone collection that I mostly got between 20 & 25 years ago - I have a fluted bowl similar to yours, some soap dishes, small bowls, a couple of scalloped platters, but what I love the most are my 11 butter pats ! 6 of them are tiny, although vary a little in chunkiness & the other 5 are a little bigger & 2 of them are the more golden color - I got them “in the wild” but it was at least 20 years ago - I NEVER, EVER see them in antique or thrift stores anymore - anyway, your collection is beautiful - I would like to have seen each one of your butter pats up close - lol - greetings from sunny Central Florida 😎
Beautiful pottery. I understand the love for pottery. All my various colored vases and planters might fit on those stairs. If I stacked them. lol. I have sold many thinking I'm downsizing but then end up buying another one. At one time I had 100. But now probably about half that. Some displayed and some tucked away for "safe keeping". 😊
Hey, enjoyed your video, wowza girlie, hit the ironstone jackpot. I have some pieces too but can’t find here where I live found at Goodwill, only have one Goodwill, and one antiques store in my small town in Ohio.
I have some of my Mom’s so that means they are old but they are not stained or have crazing. He gravy boat is Homer Laugh,in. I love the Hertiage white. But I do have some different.
I get the biggest kick out of all you collectors. One person gets into iron stone, then everybody wants Ironstone. Then it was transferware, then butter pats, etc. I’m glad I am not a collector of anything, but it’s fun to watch.
@eunice - LOL - I know what you mean ! I have a few pieces of ironstone but just ones I considered very special, but I do have about a dozen butter pats, which I love - they’re so small & cute - I will never get rid of them & if I ran across more, I would get them just because they really are impossible to find - but I find if a collection gets too big, it starts to lose some of its uniqueness - what I’ve collected the most of over the years are vintage wooden kitchen utensils - mostly spoons - but I have so many now that I think it’s time to start passing some on ! Fortunately, they don’t take up near as much room as ironstone - anyway,,, I also enjoy watching what others collect ! Greetings from sunny Central Florida 😎
That’s the point of sharing the collection. I don’t see it as a braggy thing but she is showing it. I love seeing collections to see what all is out there and what might be hard to find. I have a cake stand but had no idea they were hard to find until she mentioned it.

I am always attracted to the minatures so I see your attraction to the smaller things. That was a beautiful musical rendition of Amazing Grace!
Wasn’t it?! I love that version!
I found 4 chunky ironstone butter pats at an estate sale yesterday. They were 50 cents each. I was so excited.
WOW!
So excited for you!!!!
You have a beautiful collection Genevieve thank you for sharing with us 💕
Tfs this beautiful collection w/us. Between the collection and Amazing Grace playing in the background, you almost had me in tears!

I do love the white pitchers. I pair with blue and white. I don’t think anyone gets rid of butter pats here,
Wowza! That's a lot of Ironstone. So gorgeous?❤😊
Hey, enjoyed your video, wowza girlie, hit the ironstone jackpot. I have some pieces too but can’t find here where I live found at Goodwill, only have one Goodwill, and one antiques store in my small town in Ohio.
Maybe you could style some of your pitchers on your mantle. Nice collection.

I did not see any of your recommendations, and I watched all the video.
Hi! Recommendations for what?
Thank you
Good morning, beautiful. Do you use any of your pieces ? I hope so . They are to beautiful, not too . 💞💕💞 Blessing to you and your family. 💜💞💜
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
I have a chamber pot with no markings on the bottom. Does all Ironstone have markings as such?
Your collections is fabulous.
Thank you! No, not all ironstone has marking!
You don’t have any chamber pots. Some of them are quite beautiful and a lot of them were ironstone. Love your pieces ❤
I do have one mini one!! I shared it in a video recently so I didn’t go over it again but I have one 🥰
I hope the cats and dog are locked up while the beautiful collection is on the stairs!😂
Surprisingly they did not disturb me 😂
So you have all the iron stone in America lol !! 😅
Ok this comment wins I’m cracking up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@genevievelynn737 no wonder I can’t find any lol
What state are you in?
NJ
Where will you put it all? 🤦♂️
It’s called a hutch!!! 😘
Exsessive
You have a lovely collection but putting it all together like that seems kind of like you’re showing off
😂😂😂 You can’t win no matter what you do. If you think I’m “showing off”, you must not know me. Take care now
That’s the point of sharing the collection. I don’t see it as a braggy thing but she is showing it. I love seeing collections to see what all is out there and what might be hard to find. I have a cake stand but had no idea they were hard to find until she mentioned it.
