Jay I have an idea for you guys. On your UA-cam homepage you should create a "Recently Uploaded" section so people will find any new videos. Right now you have to click on "Videos" to see if you've recently uploaded. It might help get more views on the newest videos.
Hey Jay, I listen to the eps on Google Podcasts while I'm at work because it's easier than to run UA-cam open in my pocket. Any idea when these will hit that platform? lol Unless I've been listening to an unofficial Podcast on there...
I got the beavis and butthead reference straight away - no laughing is one of the funniest episodes.
That wasn't a Confederate flag. It was a Colonial Era Betsy Ross flag.

Hey! You're supposed to be watching the 2019 Survivor Series! Thanks for stopping by my dude 😀
"I quite liked Adam Bomb's gimmick, I don't know if he had a gimmick" sounds like a lot of wrestlers of this era.
I can say they had gimmicked attire, like it implied they had a gimmick. But they really didn't act like they had said gimmick.
Doesn't help that a lot of the gimmicks weren't things that one could reasonably apply to professional wrestling. Like what does being a racecar driver have to do with grappling and striking another human being?
Everybody had day jobs, they just moonlighted as wrestlers but didn't have time to change going from day job to night job
When I was a kid, I was all about Adam Bomb
@@andrejg4136 I'm 9 months late to reply to this, but I think the hallmark of the New Generation was characters that had backstories for their gimmick, but never actually acted it out
During that episode of Family Feud with the wrestlers, Tatanka gives the worst answers, "Name something that gets better with age:" And Tatanka says "Milk".

I love Marty's face when Shawn pulls the cigarettes out of his mouth. It goes from "Wait why did you do that." To "Oh this is for the commercial."
Guarantee he scooped up the tobacco to re roll later
Instead of knights, Shawn could have had “his gigolos.” Toss in the Heavenly Bodies and Greg the Hammer slowly gyrating, dancing?, and grinding awkwardly down to the ring in leather gimp outfits to a chorus of boos and facial grimaces.

Now that ya say that, yeah he does haha
Bruce Hart has come out of nowhere to steal out hearts like that jabroni Nick Bockwinkle did.
Keith Hart looks like Mr. Belvedere.
Him and Bob Ueker should have had a segment together
39:10
Bruce was pitching every and any storyline to Vince
This blew my mind because I trained under Johnny Devine (yes, THE Johnny Devine) and he had us in a circle one practice and asked us to share ideas on gimmicks, critiques, basically any wrestling idea
He then told us when he trained at the Hart Dungeon in 93 he was put in a circle with the other students and asked for ideas. Those ideas were being written down and told firsthand to Vince and the trainer was getting paid money for his students’ ideas
Who was the teacher? The little trainer that nobody loved grew up to be future OSW HOF’er Bruce Hart
So this Hart vs Hart storyline could very well be Johnny Devine’s idea
@Paul K. You mean TNA's Johnny Devine?.
He's in my boy stable along with "Stone Cold" Shark Boy, Snitsky, Rob Conway, Reno, Crowbar, Cryme Tyme (JTG and Shad), Rellik, Braden Walker and Todd Grisham.
That’s the one
I was trained by him and current TNA ref John E Bravo at Scott D’amore’s wrestling school
@@paulk6399 Wait shit John E Bravo made it into TNA? Good on him, I went to a shit-tier local wrestling show a couple years back and him and Phil Atlas were the only two people there with a hint of charisma.
Yea, he’s now a ref in TNA, I’m very happy for him
What local promotion are you talking about?
I used to workout with Phil Atlas (he sold me my first tickets that down the line got me to start training), he’s a cool dude
And John E Bravo is such a nice guy outside the ring. He truly cared about my well being but in the end I feel like I’ve failed him as a student. But he did give me the nicest words anyone has ever given me in my life.
‘Students like you make me happy to be a teacher’
@@paulk6399 Had to dig deep to find it again, the group is Detroit Style Wrestling. Looks like they still put on occasional shows, but their facebook page is down at the moment so it's hard to find any info on them.
John E Bravo had a hardcore match for their main title, that ended up being a fun little brawl that kept the small crowd of like 50 of us happy. I don't remember a lot about the match, besides it having some good comedy shots involving cheap props, and the finish being actually pretty vicious: a plastic bag put over the head to choke out his opponent, with John E Bravo the winner over the then long-reigning champion (3 years, iirc).
Phil Atlas, meanwhile, stood in for an injured member of a tag team whose gimmick were, to put it nicely, being ambiguously gay. The whole match was basically centered around Phil Atlas winning the match almost single-handedly while shutting down the advances of his teammate, ended up being hilarious and the highlight of the show for me. I wanted to buy a DVD of the show just to show my friends this match, but I never did and I doubt I could find it now.
If Bruce Hart isn’t the choice for OSW HOF this year, we riot
And "Biggest mark award"
Get those bricks and guns ready
@Mike Keller nah, Backlund would get HOF for doing good very well
OSW HOF isnt about that, its about doing bad very well
"Let's put a smile on that face!" "Helen looked like she was having a shit" LMFAO this was amazing, kudos as always to you guys for delivering each and every time.
3:46 "Three children?" Is Hugo Luger glaring at the boy from a vent in the back while practicing sewing rats to pigeons?
LOLLL
37:20 hilarious that Shawn couldn’t even get counted out without Bruce just calling his own spot to run up and shove him up the ramp. Bet anything that it was not discussed beforehand.
Bobby the Brain Heenan was one of the reasons that got Taker more over than what he was already getting over with. Especially in this match, Bobby was building the hell out of Taker. That spot where Taker gets thrown headfirst into the steel steps and Bobby's reaction when Taker flips his hair back standing back up straight and staring at Yokozuna is one of my all time favorite moments of Heenan building up a star.
How Old is Stu Hart?
SEVEN HUNDRED YEARS OLD
That line actually made me cry with laughter, good work gents. Can of coke to you
Appreciate a two year old comment is a bit old to essentially just agree with but absolutely same for me. Jay's delivery is pitch-perfect, with that almost imperceptible quarter-second comedy beat between the 'seven' and the 'hundred.' Absolutely floored me.
It always makes me crack up when they talk about Stu Hart being dead eyed and emotionless, or how the only pleasure in life he gets is stretching young boys. I die laughing every time.
Strrrrretch ‘em!
There is a young boy in Alberta this man hasn't stretched.
Yeh they certainly give him a hard time for never smiling or anything and looking moody as heck. Everyone loves giving the Hart family a load of grief. Some people just ask to be ridiculed and take the piss all the time. I know people who are like that and they just ask to be wound up as they fall for it every time and completely overeact and it's hilarious.
STRETCH EM
The Jaws reference nearly made me cry with laughter.

my mom said she watched it Saturdays after Ninja Turtles & before Saved By The Bell, in the hospital after i was born. the 1st show she watched @ home, & the 2nd right after i was born in the hospital
god i love it when i think jay does the sad "hmmm" noise. ive reacted to a few people like that on instinct and people lose it. recently i found out most of my co workers are huge wwf/wwe wcw, ecw and aew fans. i had the pleasure of showing them OSW the other night. a few of my co workers came back and told me how much they enjoy listening to you guys! yay! its always nice to find other wrestling fans that still tune into things. most people are just like "oooh yeah the rock! and stone cold! i liked that one dude with the mask too!"
Man I'd hope wrestling gets big enough to hot the mainstream again, like regular people knowing who Hulk, Macho, Warrior, Taker, Rock, Austin.... Maybe people know Brock! Rock doesn't count 😂
@@OSW its so cool seeing it gain traction again. like when aew was first announced i didn't understand all the nay-saying. its like what john cena said: puts more content out there more content means more competition and inspiration more people are finding their niches and fan service. smaller promotions get the chance to now book their guys into the tele/ vise versa, gets more people looking into their stuff, and promote growth all around. its a good thing regardless if you dont like certain companies. i love how all my friends with children are getting back into it cause their children are watching now. it's so cool talking about all these guys that made our childhoods so great. some of these wrestlers and their own kids are now making our younger generations appreciate wrestling like we did, so exciting. yeah, rock is way too over to count lol.
you guys have been a huge part of why i started watching TNA and WWE from where i left off, i love how my friends and their children are showing me new and familiar faces. 4 years ago if i mentioned OSW id get so excited when someone would say they heard of you guys but in the last year so many more people will react with "omg i love their videos! its so cool seeing stuff i would beg my parents to buy for PPV or hunt down ppv dvds at niche video stores" im so proud of you guys and all the people who put in the time to contribute to them. you guys showed me Botchamania too which is also another great channel. Thank you for everything. you guys rock!
i wasn't allowed to watch raw cause it was on too late and i had no cable in my room so i was fortunate enough to get UPN and see the smackdown 6 era, Benoit and Eddie were my favorites. im so glad i got to see them at Summerslam 03 (my first live event). it would be cool to see that PPV covered one day and listen to you guys shit on HHH's bicycle tights lol. i wasnt a huge goldberg fan but i didnt want HHH to win it. the Lesnar Angle match was pretty underrated too, ill have to find the old disposable camera pictures i had taken and share them one day. the pre show and ppv card wasnt half bad and A train did a good job making taker look decent as taker was kinda starting to really show his wear and tear. although its a bit later in the timeline so im sure theres many other ppvs you guys would cover before taking that one on. i cant believe its nearly 20 years ago since it happened.
Take care! love you guys! cant wait for whatever content is coming out next. im not a huge tattoo person myself but of the few that ive had pre-drawn out there's a couple OSW ideas in my file ;P you guys have been such a huge impact in my life.
@@OSW You know John from Super Eyepatch Wolf, right? He _finally_ got me into modern wrestling again with his amazing Roman Reigns essay (don't worry - you lads didn't _not_ get me into wrestling - you just got me watching this era and turned me into a _massive_ Bret mark, which you'll hopefully count as, at worst, a draw) and... it's really damn good.
Question, though: KO can't be a Boy if he won a Tag Title match at the headliner of 'Mania Saturday, right? That's way to big of a deal and he's way too over even if he'll definitely never be World/Universal Champion?
I think in terms of wrestlers being household names, the attempts at higher quality, more grounded storytelling and character arcs have probably hurt the chances of regular people knowing the even big names as they're less absurdly larger than life than in the old days.

With Knacker Wurst, the Dutch Rudder, and the Lady Boys comment, it has to be one of the funniest five-minute spans in OSW history.
I nearly died of laughter when they starting making the Stu-Quint comparison.
I love how stu went from wearing a Detroit Pistons jacket in the video package during promo, which would’ve worked at Summerslam, because was in Detroit that year, but had to change when he came out for the match, because they were in Boston, so stu had to change it to the Brewers jacket, also I love that the Canadian family picked the ice hockey team, and I don’t know why that was the thing I care about in this, and Bruce is my hero.

The commentators absolutely made the right call putting over Yokozuna's fear of the Undertaker, and I feel it'd be just as easy to say this even without the decades of retrospect. Taker's character is supposed to inspire fear unlike any other in the company. The superstars, especially the ones who have been world heavyweight champ, aren't supposed to fear every guy who's ever laid a beating on them or knocked them out. So Yokozuna fearing Taker (at least in that moment...because remember, they were only talking about that moment at the steel steps) but not Lex makes sense. Also consider that Yokozuna's size should put him above the typical chickens*** heel level of cowardice that we often see from other guys.
That's definitely a fair point, and it ultimately probably didn't matter as I think they'd mostly given up on Lex as the face of the company as the long-term plan by this point anyway but, if they hadn't, I'd still see what the V1's saying. It's not that it's kayfabe-breaking - as you say, it's anything but - it'd just have been unfortunate timing because the spot was _so_ damn good that it's probably the thing people remember most about that match, which isn't what you want if you _are_ still trying to push Lex as hard as the original plan was.
The "nothing but ninja" guy was actually in the Mortal Kombat movie!
Not even a quarter chub for Luger
R.I.P. Lex Express
If I remember correctly, the "nothing but ninjas" guy was in the first Mortal Kombat movie who got his soul taken before Sonya killed Kano.
Yep, Liu Kangs' first opponent. Does a weird tiger pose thing
Hakim Alston - The Machine

Every time you guys do the Diesel song perfection
It's so strange that a badass from Asbury Park would narc out Matt Borne.
The fact that Bam Bam Bigelow is a snitch, especially since he drove out the BEST Doink, breaks my heart.
LoL
Was thinking Matt Sydal til the one hour mark ...

And then i was like " ohhh ....

😹
I don't see bammers snitching on Bourne but who the fuck knows
It was Bret who did it, according to OSW. "Damn it, Bret." "Of course, it was during the Steroid Trial. So, how about keep your mouth shut then."
OMG WMAC Masters! I'm back in grade school.
Mr. OOC smashed 6,000 inflatable guitars, never drew a dime
I live in Florida. A middle school field trip was being part of the crowd during that WMAC MASTERS show. It was chessy but fun. Shannon Lee was an EVP on the show. It was soo cool to meet her.
