Plant Collecting & Herbarium Research! Pt 2

  • Did you know that there are millions upon millions of preserved plants in herbarium research collections around the world? How do botanists preserve the plants they study, and what kinds of research projects make use of herbarium collections? We went to UC Berkeley to find out! In this episode, Specht Lab PhD students Joyce Chery and Carrie Tribble tell us all about Berkeley's herbaria and how they plan to use and add to the collections there.

    This is absolutely amazing... So I wonder if the benefits of the specimen is still available for use... Like dried lavender?
