Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge on plant pressing! I am currently a resorce management student who is collecting plants and pressing them for a study. These videos are very helpful. 🙂
haha! i like the last part when you had to make use of the "very large, expensive biology book" to press your herbarium mount! very practical! well done! :)
Thank you for mentioning the coloration of the leaves fading. I've been pressing specimens from Piperaceae and the stems and petioles turn BLACK. I was freaked out at first, but now realize it's an enzymatic process that naturally occurs.
Im curious if it is possible to plant press berrys as well? Any advice about the procedures to fallow if its possible to press berrys would be appreciated.
A small piece of linen glued with PVA would be better than tape. And archival PVA as used by conservators or book binders will ensure the right PH content.

Super helpful thanks! 💚😊🖒
Sir tell me simpl method for preservation and writing thesis formate
When the plants are glued on with glue, examining the reverse side is forever impossible. Why don't you use water tapes?
Don't use Scotch tape.....use duct tape, it holds the universe is together👍
why did bro get the excess glue off with the blotting paper he just pointed out how important it was not to mess them uo
Why bother with acid free paper when you're using scotch tape? That tape will discolor quickly and ruin the sample...
Ahhh!! You can't use scotch tape!! It has to be archival tape or it will discolor over time :(
lol acid free paper, and than we destroy the plant with glue haha, and a scotchtape, what a timewaste
