Assalamualaikum Humayu kabeer i need tutorials about COLLAPSE ANALYSIS OF A FRAMED BUILDING by using etabs can u please upload that i need and am really thank full to you for your etabs tutorials......
Very good contribution friend .. my question is about the height of the first floor, it is not considered or the height of rudeness to the foundation, because if considered would be giving more height to the 1st floor to vibrate and thus more movement also, and if it does not consider it would be subtracting weight to the building for a static analysis and therefore its amplification factor for reinforced concrete design .... What should I do ??????????? Thank you for your attention.
Hi, Thank you for the video but Etabs treats the staircase as wall section even though you define it as slab section and the load does not get transferred to supporting beam. Any solution for this would be highly appreciated.
+yogesh baheti Dear brother as far I know ETABS do not consider the stair in analysis if it is defined as slab and if you model it as it is. For ramp and stair it should have been defined as wall. As a slab is an element that span in a plane but in case of stair and ramp actually it's spanning between two plane there for it should be wall. as far I know. better solution is to neglect the rigidity of stair case as bracing in analysis because you will design it for gravity load only and apply stair case load on beam. It is what I practice.
Hi, Decode BD thank you for your Etabs tutorials, if ramps and stairs are considered as wall sections, and doesn't transfer loads to middle height support beam, what load will be applied to beam?.Please could explain that?.Thank you.
when i consider modelling stairs, the stress in column increases from the point the stair is joined which will result in excessive reinforcement only in that column. Is that result satisfactory??
many thanks for yours engr.md humayun kabir may i request some help about how to design shear and torsion for beams and shear walls in etabs how can i use the design result generated by the program.
+atef omar You have to be careful while assigning Diaphragm. Select only XY floor plane for assigning Diaphragm to avoid Diaphragm at mid-height of stair.
can i get ETABS software link to download that should run in. bcos i have downloaded many times ETABS software that it can't be installed properly either Evaluation License is not found or Standalone license activation key failed.. I have searched many websites to recover the errors but unfortunately can't... can you ???
Modeling of Two Flight Stair please :) Do we need link elements to transfer load from landing slab to lower beam in case if we do not have landing beam?
great work Humayun Kabir keep going and i was so pleased met with you here in Oman and
sharing the experience on several structural software
ZAZAK ALLAH KHAIR DEAR.
Ausssalamualaikum Khalid shav
The best tutorial of modeling stairs! Thank you very much
Thanks.

+yogesh baheti Load does not transferred to beams because stair acts like a bracing which transfers axial loads to columns :)
+DECODE BD is there any method to model staircase as slab and transfer the load on to beams?

Thank you for such a nice tutorial man! Please prepare a video tutorial on complete design of staircase.
Thanks for the tutorial ! but how do we calculate the reinforcement? it also treat the inclined slab as a wall not membrane or shell!
Can the mid landing be divided into two equal halves as done in this tutorial?
will there be short column effect ??
what if the beam defined at mid-height be removed ?
Assalam walekum Sir. Will u plz make a video on PEB residential building with stair design in ETABS sir.
would it be the same in a double winder stair?
sir please make video on design of staicase
Thank you.Best man

That's is great job. Thank.
The best tutorial, thank you so much!

+Mohammed Elwan I will try to prepare tutorial on these.
+DECODE BD plesse share with me thory of stairs desig
Sir, could you tell how to model a open newel staircase with quarter turning? Everytime I do this with a beam along the staircase slab, the beam fails
Dios le pague!!!
thanks ,it seems that this way of modeling stairs make un expected center of rigidty ,do you have any explnations

thanks for yoyr quick respond , but this will affect the center of mass for the slab
thanks but I ask how can I design the inclined slab or stair in etab or safe
The red is wall?
best one
Thanks
Hi! do you guys know how to read deflection in ETABS?? Thanks
Good
Sir loading kya lena 🤔
HOW DO I TURN THAT BLUE PLANE ON THE RIGHT SIDE !!!!
I did not get your point.
I am sure that this stair pass or fail after we design. And how to apply load. We apply load on beam or slab in stair ?
+Eng Vuthy On Load on Stair will be applied in stair slab.
we apply only LL on stair slab ?
can you please put a video on assign loads and for that beam and slab and upload it
thank you
SIr is it possible that the etabs show that the building has passed but still a failure in real life
can you please share the soft copy pf this tutorial ? If there one.
how can i extend column upto reference plan.
Reference plan is only for drawing ''plan elements''.
can i get ETABS software link to download that should run in. bcos i have downloaded many times ETABS software that it can't be installed properly either Evaluation License is not found or Standalone license activation key failed.. Modeling of Two Flight Stair please :)
Do we need link elements to transfer load from landing slab to lower beam in case if we do not have landing beam?
Same process with reference plan. No need, just need to be connected with column nodes.
Dear Sir,
Can you please upload the CAD files also. It will be helpful for us.
Thanks.
instead of noisy background better do with voice record..though u did hard work but its doesnt look worth going through
Check later tutorials in which I added voice.
How to install e tabs
Kegeyn problem 😔😔😔😑😑
Thanks you very much for your easy demonstration, can i have your email id please for your further communication
Difficult to use wall models in etabs once assigned cant be modify it... editing of wall property details in Etabs is how???
The best tutorial of modeling stairs! Thank you very much
