All these five videos of etabs are excellent. Also make a video for design of the foundation(Raft) of the building in safe by transfeering the base reactions from etabs to safe.
I have designed a hospital building with plinth area of 308 sq m. After design, I am getting more reinforcement on ground floor rather than columns below plinth level. Can you tell me the reason for this?
Sir ..this vedio is really .. helpful to us ....I have one doubt sir ....for showing the reinforcement details which we have to show either Envelope or other..
hello, your videos are great and helpful for beginners but i have doubt that why we haven't given dead load for beam and column ...is it takes automatically? second thing is i m not able to remove warning of nearby column and slab of each floor ..so make one video for that... thank yoy
Hello ! Can you please tell me that the results obtained from ETABS analysis( Base shear, Displacements, Drifts) are already amplified or they have to be multiplied with the force modification factors (R in ASCE or Rd-Ro in NBCC)?
Sir , the values of BM, SF , Axial forces ets given by etabs after design, can we know whether those values are right n can be considered for execution..? coz in etabs as we know for the things which we don't define or specify , it automatically takes up some dummy or default values..
Hi Civilknowhow, Can you please make a video in data interpretation of shear wall design? i want to know how would i check if my shear wall thikness is passed of fail.
Hello Sir, After assigning the known dimensions of Columns, Beams, Slab and Loads. If the deflections is coming more than Code provisions (Say 425mm instead of 210mm (code) ), What is the optimize solutions to control the deflection of the building ? ?
you mentioned that for checking ,,if the stucture is ok ,,we have to check longitudinal steel ratio ,,,but i have not find that option ,,SIR please tell me in detail?????
In this video. You are told that "use unfactored load comb for footing" which is unfactored comb in total 9 combs..???? And also which KN load we should take for the footing design.. Plz give reply.......
kindly inform me about the moments of slabs i.e M12, M22 and M21. I am confuse about these moment. What type of moment should I took for design of slab?
If it is a one way slab the moment is along the shorter span , if it’s a two way slab the moment should be along both spans in the X,Y directions , the moment are calculated through the supports if you know the supports moment’s that should be the slab moments as well .
Hey Bro, I just had a question for you. My building shows, Ground floor column rebar is less than Higher floor columns in ETABS... how to solve this problem?
@@rajeshpullat considering the whole building as a cantilever with fixed support on the ground, moment would be maximum at the bottom floor. How on earth would the top floor column require more reinforcement than the bottom floor column??
@@prafullagartaula123 if you have long span beams, the end moments will be transferred to column. This can cause large moments in end columns and columns at top will be affected more
one more thing, this is more relevant for small buildings, like less than may be 5 storeys or so. But, if the building is tall normally the axial forces govern and you will see larger reinforcement in lower level columns than upper level. Even then, the top most floor column might show slightly larger reinforcement than the ones just below it.
Thanks for this etabs tutorial on RCC building design. Suppose If i want to assign min rebar percentage for columns , say 1.2 or more , where i required to enter this value in etabs, Plz explain
first thankyou for ur useful tutorial. can u please explain in ur another vedio about 1. how can we do wind analysis 2. detailing of beams , columns and slabs 3. design of a footing
thanks, will try that. If you can upload videos on design of various building components as well, that would be a great help. Your videos are really, really helpful! Thanks for that as well. Great work guys!
please explain in details the column and beam designs as in STAAD PRO we have numers of these elements and detailed uot put we have the same in ETABS also.
Saw all your videos of this playlist, must say we are blessed generation to have mentors/tutors like you online! Thank You so very much! :)

+Amer Khataybeh glad to hear tat..:-)
And we need more design examples if possible ;)
Hi,
In this model before analysis you have to fix the base. ( Restrains)
And you have done a best presentation....
thnx a lot....one of the best tutorial on etabs i have ever seen....keep it up...
Very useful tutorial , hoping to go further into slab design and the differences between the shell and membrane , Thanks a lot.

What is the solution when beam fails in shear and torsion?
just change the beam property. like size, concrete grade etc ....
why do we need to consider unfactored load combo for design of footing?
hello sir .. how to check whether the drsign is safe r not ... Can u please explain.
nice tutorial
Good tutorial class, please make one video for warnings and diffrent error solving ? getting more error but dont know how to solve it , thank you

Hi
How can I get the self load for the building by using the sap2000 or etabs software
If analysis shows that our building is stable still we get members failed in the design? Why does it happen?
being stable in analysis doesnt mean it will pass design...increase the size to pass the design

How to design footing
first thankyou for ur useful tutorial.
can u please explain in ur another vedio about
1. how can we do wind analysis
2. detailing of beams , columns and slabs
3. design of a footing
+Ankit Bhadola thank you....yes I will be doing video related to it..:-)
Sir is there a minimum value for Time Period? mine says 68.8 is that bad?
+Adrian munoz check the building deflection whtr it's in the limits
whenever i go for 'check model' and check all the checkboxes,it shows 'not responding' and soon after that it hangs. Please help.
+Vishal Godhwani may b there is an issue with software...try with a diff model n see if it works
thanks,will try that.

Sir how to know if the beam or column was failed ?
+Alejandro Barce carry out to design n if the results comes out as o/s ,it means the section is failed
Please do windload
Sir I am a new learner so how we will know our design r safe and weather we know it’s failed
If design fails then, u need to re assign the value so that it becomes safe..
Sir what do you mean by Time period?
and how to get the most economical design?
