I was flailing about against this boss during the archon quest and never really figured out the whole "use pet on certain spots on the ground" thing lol Thanks for the guide! Actually knowing how the boss mechanics work will make this fight so much easier in the future!
I agree with you, I like these gimmick boss more than the dps test one. On the first time fighting him, I have no clue and just running around lol. Also, I see they keep buffing Yoi indirectly like this. Her range attack make her feels very comfortable to play agains these type of floating enemy.

More reliable than the game lmao, instructions popped up on the screen but I was too busy dodging attacks and they disappeared before I read them... The boss is cool but Hoyo is TERRIBLE at explaining the mechanics. So many players are going to fight the boss without knowing you need a ranged unit to kill the flying drones... it's Oceanid all over again, at least give a warning when I'm choosing my team ffs I also got stuck not knowing you have to press T and then hold E after you charge your dendro pig, why can't I just press T to use the attack... It's very convoluted, Azdaha is still my favourite boss so far
@@cheesypoohalo THIS! Why is there no explanation on the turrets? How tf was I suppose to know that hydro and electro doesn't work on them? And it's only after you remove his shield during the second phase, so there's no quick way to test what does work
@@dennisl9176 if you hold E on Nahida you go in Aim mode right? But you can't Mark those flying things at 8:08 with it, so you can't damage them with it even if you use Tap E. Only thing you can hit them with is her Charge Attack one by one.

I feel like I've reached enlightenment watching this. Oh my god thank you! Mihoyo really needs to explain game mechanics more DURING the first gameplays of bosses rather than just a "pick this then shoot, goodluck lmao" I felt like a deer in headlights, not knowing what tf those elements on the floors are or why my Childe's E skill is not damaging the drones/turrets so I thought they're indestructible =___=

Wow... your fight looked very different then mine. I just ran in and started whaling on the boss spamming everything I had. I repeated until he did that one shot attack and then I kept attacking until he was dead. Ummm... yeah, not doing that next week lol. Thanks! I didn't even realize there were 6 nodes in phase 1 or that there was a platform in phase 2. Kuki earned her paycheck healing. I did not enjoy the boss at all but I might next week after this video.
I finished the quest but I can't find the boss.. it doesn't even appear in the adventurer book list and it won't tell me if there's a quest I need to finish first Edit: Never mind, the domain is outside the city, at a random spot in Chinvat Ravine.
There's similarities in this fight with his mother: - "Burn to oblivion!" / "Torn to oblivion!" - "Perish!" / "Now you shall perish!" - Both have desperation moves that instantly kill you character within a time limit. - When both weakened in a state, the party has full burst ready. - (TBD) Both opposing characters can't solo the fight (We'll soon see how Wanderer plays in 3.3 if he CAN solo Raiden Shogun). - (TBD) a quote from Raiden Shogun boss once Wanderer enters the fight.
Your guides have been much help ever since the start of my journey in December of 2020! It's a bit sad to see you underrated, since I wouldn't have defeated Dvalin so easily back in the day.
Fun tip: you can actually counter his spirit bomb with your own dendro bomb. Just a matter of timing. While charging his spirit bomb, he is open to attack so yes you can interrupt his charging.

Thank you for breaking this down. Before watching this video, i was so overwhelmed with this boss. It caused me so much anxiety. It’s too flashy and excessively exaggerated visually. but now i know it’s not that complicated. thank you so so much Tsoul! 👍
it's important to mention that if he does the grand hand slam with pyro or cryo, trying to go for the crystal that spawns from it is fine but after a set amount of time he'll scoff and swipe towards you if youre in the range. its indicated by the scoff and easy to avoid but if you dont know about it then thats free damage he gets on you
I’ve found that in the second phase the little flying pet doesn’t seem to hit him? Anyone know why and how I can fix this as it seems to be a main method of beating him?

I have bosses that I cannot fight so after traying enough times I gave it up! Your characters must have very good artifacts and talents not to mention the weapons. Thanks for your guide but I do not have your characters, plus I am not so good and I often panic and my latency does not let me switch characters fast enough especially with this absurd boss!

The thing with platforms doesn't work idk. It never activates. None of them. Yes I have always two small crystals and one large collected. I just want the achievment. Been trying to do this for 30 mins now.
Wow, now it makes sense why during the ‘spirit bomb’ phase, I couldn’t do damage and just got instakilled. My whole team is electro and hydro
Mine was as well. But I somehow pulled through. It's funny how a fried egg can undo the damage the spirit bomb does to you xD

It is outrageous that Nahida E does not mark the little machines and instant Kills them.

If you have ayaka use her for those shooter things after u get rid of his shield her charge attack can hit the ones on the top

bringing yelan is fun in this fight since I can just sprint around the boss without even needing a shielder

They will be wasted, both in phase 1 and 2.
