A C6 Amber would do better than any others with C0 but Amber's playstyle (according to her constellations) requires a lot of aimed shots so it feels very unappealing to most people.
@@GreatExtended Ranged characters (not just archers but catalyst users) in general will be a safer choice when it comes to fighting bosses. But melee DPS can work as well if you know how to dodge attacks perfectly.
@@minhtuanle4019 A C6 Amber? Who actually have that? an extremely lucky player or an unlucky whale? If its a whale I'm sure he must feel unlucky because no whale want multiple Ambers. Nonetheless, C1 Amber is enough for a DPS build. But still, if you want to proc elemental reaction a lot in your party, she is not the one to build. It takes longer for her to apply Pyro on enemies because her E explosion time depends on enemy damage.

It might be because you take too long then. If you didn't get about half of his hp gone after the first aura and he goes after a while into second aura and will automatically shift into second phase, doesn't matter at what health he is then. This boss fight is supposed to get harder the longer you fight it Therefore small advice: I don't recommend going in there underleveled. Dodging all of his attacks like the guy did in the video doesn't always work and one hit on underleveled hp can be already deadly. Make sure to level your weapon, artifacts, character and talent high enough. Eat certain foods before if you need to. Use at least one healer in your party and choose your party members wisely(ex. obviously is fire and electro going to work better against this boss). Good luck fighting him!
Yeah, bow users are usually easier when it comes to damaging bosses. But the thing that makes me appreciate most in the guide is the way he describes all the boss' attacks and how to dodge it all. That way you can preserve HP to deal with the boss better, cause the higher AR you are, the harder the bosses hit. So I find these guides very useful and informative.

thanks for the guide. a lot of different scenarios, a dodge for every possible attack. compared to dvalin, i always found andrius to be more difficult and more skill based. now i rly need to practice dodging more ^^
I've been fighting this boss for weeks, and this is the first time i'm actually seeing beyond his 2nd phase, and his attacks are cool as heck, despite the damage he does to my characters, I usually finish him seconds after he goes into phase 2, so its cool to see what he can do, he's way cooler than Stormterror!
That iframing tho, too good. Never thought about playing that way and dodging attacks using the dash. I always just ran and wasted stamina and time to avoid attacks lmao. You earned a sub from me. Thanks for the video, I learned a lot!

Going to try this out, I recently started playing Genshin again. Quit the first time because I thought to myself what's the point of playing a gacha when I can't even beat the weekly bosses lol.
THANK YOUUUU this was a great help, i tried to fight him multiple times and lost every time because I was reckless with my attacks and didn't know how to doge, but after video this I was more careful with my attacks and managed to defeat him
correction about the "20% wolf adds", they're a soft enrage mechanic. when i attempted this vastly undergeared and underleveled i started getting adds at 70%, and the rate they appear seems to increase the longer you take. While on the kill later on when i was equal level i didnt see adds at all. so seeing wolf adds just means you're slow \o/
@@IloveJellow they aren't targetable. they are these little wispy wolves that jump at you and do dmg if they hit you. the rate increases the longer you fight the boss in that phase.
Another easy way to beat the boss is to just use Noelle. You’re guaranteed to get her the first time you summon 10 characters in a row, and her elemental skill gives her a shield and super armor

(Can only happen once every 14 seconds) Just use the shield (it has an initial hitbox when you summon it), when it runs out wait 2 seconds before reusing it for the sword's cooldown to end
I like how everybody is surprised he did the fight while doing it with Amber i did it too shes my only unit who can damage the Wolf without having to get much damage and since shes my only range unit and archer I didn’t have much of a choice
This is real helpful, I honestly was terrified of this noble wolf god when I ran into him during the early game. Was a massive nope moment and am yet to muster the courage to face him. I kinda feel like this is the same wolf who was in the boar princess book series and find the lore in this game to be just fantastic. Will definitely keep this guide in mind when I do get brave enough to face this wolf head on.

I'm here to update everyone that he doesn't do the phase 2 at 50% anymore. My jaw dropped when he went to Phase 2 at 75%!!! Noelle hard-carried this fight for me. Her shield is everything!!! No damage during the howl and remaining unfazed during the tail sweep when her shield is up!

you can tank everything of his damage with a bit of dodge with QIqi. I suck at dodging but maybe because i got an unkillable zombie as my main dps and she heals like crazy. It's funny to see her getting thrown and getting back up again like an anime mc lol

I've been avoiding the Wolf Boss like a plague ever since i first tried fighting it. Personally, i'm not a very big fan of Amber and i only use her for killing boars and birds. I prefer characters with Swords like Razor, Beidou, Kaeya, Chongyun and Spells like Yanfei, Mona and Ninguan but after watching this, I'll try to upgrade my Lv. 30 Amber and give a shot on defeating Wolf Boss.
All the bosses in this game are piss easy, even with just the f2p characters. The thing is that there are a lot of people that are absolute shit at gaming in general and don't upgrade either their characters, weapons or artifacts and then they struggle with these bosses.

Nice guide. This actually reminds me of Dark Souls a little bit. Namely take it slow, learn the rhythm, and you will do just fine even with underpowered/undergeared characters. Unless there's a timer of course.

when i was first fighting this boss for razor's quest i thought i wasn't going to make it and thought of abandoning the whole quest 💀 (i somehow pulled through tho thank god i didn't have to kill it fully)
Quick Story: When I saw the "Commence Trial" for the first time, I accidentally press F and I was so scared to fight the boss. My team was: Beido, Barbara, Xinqiu and Geo traveller (all of them around lvl 29 and only Xinqiu the one with lvl 35). The thing is, I made Xinqiu as my DPS and since that Wolf King is an Ice type... Let's just say I've been Frozen more than I hit an attack

if u mean amber, she's "i-framing" a lot of the swipes, i.e. using the short window of invulnerability when she dashes to dodge the hitbox of boss attacks. aka just git gud.

Just a quick note. He is not invincible when he’s doing the dash. You can hit him with an archer if you time the shot perfectly. I hit him once

A little tip: Fight this boss with no sound. Taking away the music takes away a lot of the 'intimidation factor'

Used this technique, worked pretty well until I overfed my Amber and ran out of stamina. Everything crashed into hell after that.

Believe me after a few times you'll get the hang of it. Just practice a few times and you'll understand the patterns

This is real helpful, I honestly was terrified of this noble wolf god when I ran into him during the early game. Was a massive nope moment and am yet to muster the courage to face him. I kinda feel like this is the same wolf who was in the boar princess book series and find the lore in this game to be just fantastic. Will definitely keep this guide in mind when I do get brave enough to face this wolf head on.

I'm here to update everyone that he doesn't do the phase 2 at 50% anymore. My jaw dropped when he went to Phase 2 at 75%!!! Noelle hard-carried this fight for me. Her shield is everything!!! No damage during the howl and remaining unfazed during the tail sweep when her shield is up!
Voice quality wasnt the best but overall I liked that you showed the tips for the attacks whenever they appeared!

you can tank everything of his damage with a bit of dodge with QIqi. I suck at dodging but maybe because i got an unkillable zombie as my main dps and she heals like crazy. It's funny to see her getting thrown and getting back up again like an anime mc lol

Hi for everyone I defeated him with Fishl, Zhongli, MC Geo, and Xinyan. I repeatedly used Xinyan and Zhongli shields and used Fishl when he was far away.

I've been avoiding the Wolf Boss like a plague ever since i first tried fighting it. Personally, i'm not a very big fan of Amber and i only use her for killing boars and birds. I prefer characters with Swords like Razor, Beidou, Kaeya, Chongyun and Spells like Yanfei, Mona and Ninguan but after watching this, I'll try to upgrade my Lv. 30 Amber and give a shot on defeating Wolf Boss.

Watched this and thought "oh god, this boss looks hard" but then I actually tried it and it wasn't so bad.

All the bosses in this game are piss easy, even with just the f2p characters. The thing is that there are a lot of people that are absolute shit at gaming in general and don't upgrade either their characters, weapons or artifacts and then they struggle with these bosses.

Nice guide. This actually reminds me of Dark Souls a little bit. Namely take it slow, learn the rhythm, and you will do just fine even with underpowered/undergeared characters. Unless there's a timer of course.

when i was first fighting this boss for razor's quest i thought i wasn't going to make it and thought of abandoning the whole quest 💀 (i somehow pulled through tho thank god i didn't have to kill it fully)

Quick Story: When I saw the "Commence Trial" for the first time, I accidentally press F and I was so scared to fight the boss.
My team was: Beido, Barbara, Xinqiu and Geo traveller (all of them around lvl 29 and only Xinqiu the one with lvl 35). The thing is, I made Xinqiu as my DPS and since that Wolf King is an Ice type...

if u mean amber, she's "i-framing" a lot of the swipes, i.e. using the short window of invulnerability when she dashes to dodge the hitbox of boss attacks.
aka just git gud.
Tbh I love using Beidou when he's at charging circle part. He takes huge damage when you counter him with Tidecaller.
