One song of the show in an episode was written by KE$HA, but sung by somebody else. The fact that they got Kesha to voice a character is just cool to me.

It sounds like an aristocratic accent I don't know whether it would be British or French but it's hell. I'm American I hear aristocratic and think British.
"I wouldn't be surprised if the singer actually did get quite emotional singing that." This is actually what happened on a previous song he sung as this character - he started crying during the recording of the first take of the song, but powered through, and _that_ was the take that ended up being used in the episode. It is hearbreaking.
I think it was actually his third or fourth take of stolas sings that made it in (which is not a lot at all!), and they just used the full (either mostly or fully unedited) take instead of taking bits and pieces from other takes. Either way, he's a very talented singer/actor!
"You will be Okay" and "Owl in a Cage" are other Stolas songs if you're interested in that, but it would be interesting to hear your perspective on very different voices from the show than his like "Two Minute's notice" or "House of Asmodeous." Be warned though, the non-stolas songs and most of the show can get pretty explicit
I hope she'll react to other Helluva boss songs as well. It's definitely worth checking out the songs Edit: maybe Hazbin hotel as well (especially now with the whole season coming out in January)
To help answer any questions you may have, here’s a summary of the current storyline of the song. Stolas, a demon of noble birth, finds himself contemplating his next course of action. He has completely transformed his life for Blitzø, a demon of lower social standing, whom he has come to love. However, Stolas is uncertain about Blitzø's feelings towards him. Blitzø believes that he is undeserving of love and assumes that Stolas is only interested in their physical relationship, perceiving no genuine emotional connection between them. Stolas realizes that if he desires their relationship to progress beyond a mere contractual arrangement, he must allow Blitzø to make a choice. The basis of their contract is a mutual benefit. In simple terms, Blitzø requires access to the human realm to run his business, and Stolas possesses a book with the power to grant him that access. Stolas grants Blitzø permission to use his book, and in return, they spend one night together every month. By giving Blitzø a crystal, Stolas effectively terminates their contract. With the crystal, Blitzø no longer requires Stolas' book, rendering their monthly encounters unnecessary. Stolas is prepared to express his true feelings to Blitzø and hopes that Blitzø will reciprocate. However, Stolas is also apprehensive about the possibility of heartbreak once he relinquishes the crystal, as he fears losing Blitzø. 2:25: _”Is he in an English accent?”_ Nope. The actor for Stolas is Bryce Pinkham, an American actor and singer. Another interesting thing about this song is that it was originally a FAN-MADE song that the creators of the series decided to use! The original creator is PARANOiD DJ. I sincerely encourage you to explore more of HELLUVA BOSS as it features numerous remarkable songs. If you are interested, the series is available for free viewing on UA-cam.
He actually is singing in an english accent! Bryce himself is american, but Stolas is british, so Bryce is actually singing in a different accent from his own - all the more impressive!
Also, I just want to mention, some fans didn't like the idea Blitzo ruined Stolas's marriage, but, to be fair, Stella, Stolas's wife, abused him physically and emotionally the entire time they were married and it was an arranged marriage too so love was never a part of their relationship. If anything Blitzo only gave Stolas the confidence he needed to finally divorce Stella.
@@andyt2kare you talking about Addict or is there another one i didn't know? In case it is Addict, it would be the first time a fanmade song has made it to the show, as Addict is from Hazbin Hotel and not Helluva Boss
Yeah, even though you mainly react to game OSTs, I would seriously suggest possibly watching and reacting to Helluva Boss episodes. There's nearly 2 seasons of it available to watch on UA-cam. There's also Hazbin Hotel, the pilot episode of which is here on UA-cam but it is getting a television release starting in January.
Helluva Boss really is one of the most adult like shows that don't feel adult at times. Sure the plot is that "a company set in hell run by imps that gets clients that pay them to kill people alive as revenge" is a self-explained story, but the characters despite literally being demons and hell-ish creatures, they still feel a sense of loving their personality. The characters have difficult friendships, trauma flashbacks, and plenty more messed up stuff all while happening in some of the most hardcore fucked up scenarios. And this song SOMEHOW takes place in the same universe???
Yes, you picked up on that well. Bryce Pinkham is an American broadway singer and sets up a posh British (with a wee bit of Scottish) accent when voicing this royal demon character named Stolas. His vocal range is really incredible.
Vivziepop loves people reacting to her stuff, so you don't really need to worry about copyright issues. So no need for any elaborate editing or cutting out scenes or such.
@@Saeqoiithink the point was that Stolas' VA is impressive for being able to have such control and power in his vocals while playing as his character. Though it is to be expected, Bryce is an experienced Broadway singer who often plays characters
You should hear him sing to his daughter Octavia. There he shows he can BLAST you away with Volume of voice alone. "you will be ok." if you ever look for it. I LOVE every song with Stolas aka. Bryce Pinkham. His voice is awesome for that role.
This was an independent production by a group killing it right now. Headed up by Vivian Medrano aka Vivziepop, it has basically exploded the independent animation world. And this is just her side project. It started with her releasing the pilot to her passion project called Hazbin Hotel. TLDR description Disney Princess in Hell. Featuring a lot of music as well she produced this to shop it around to catch the eye of a bigger production company. While she did that she released the pilot to a side project set in the same universe to produce while they work on getting Hazbin picked up. And Helluva Boss hit big. In particular it really exploded as something unexpected with the second episode where the character in this vid, Stolas, sang another song that just blew everyone away. The show benefited from covid due to Broadway shutting down and thus a lot of mainline singers were looking for work. Adding to their already musically talented cast they picked up James Monroe Iglehart (the Genie from Aladdin the musical) and Alex Brightman (Betelgeuse from Betelgeuse the Musical) in recurring rolls. And their voice talent did not go to waste either. Meanwhile Hazbin Hotel which promises to be a bigger musical experience (with some of the voice talent being brought over from Helluva) got picked up by Studio A24 and went into production. And that has finished with Hazbin Hotel scheduled to be released on Prime Video this January. Needless to say the fans are freaking out. You can watch the entire season and a half of Helluva Boss on Vivziepop's channel on UA-cam. And there are a number of music vids that have spilled out of both productions already along with an entire cottage industry of musicians and composers jumping on the bandwagon releasing their own works. The song in this video came from exactly that sort of creativity. The song itself was released by Paranoid DJ. Vivziepop decided he nailed the motiffe so she brought to song into canon and rerecorded it with the VA of Stolas actually performing it.
You don’t have to worry about copyright for this one, I think. By the way, Fun Fact: this Song was originally Fan-Made. Anyway, if you haven’t Watched Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel, they usually have Songs, so I recommend checking them out, if that is something you’re interested in. I also would like to see you do Touhou Bad Apple at some point too.
Stolas is one of the Lords of Hell, stuck in an unhappy marriage but with a lover (Blitz, an Imp) who is in an arrangement with him for mutual gain. Stolas hopes for something more in the relationship. Helluvaboss is mosty about Blitz and his crew.
I would love to see you react to more Helluva Boss songs. Another one by this character is "You Will Be Okay (Stolas' Lullaby)". It's another emotional song by him with great visuals to match.
If you know who the characters are, this one is a real tear-jerker. If you have a stomach for cartoon violence and adult humor, there are some satisfyingly emotionally complex characters and great original songs. The show just gets better as it goes, it's crazy. Happy viewing :)
I love watching these technical reactions to the musical aspect of Just Look My Way. As an artist, I can definitely appreciate the sheer beauty of the animation and I know just how much effort was put into each frame. There’s definitely something there with color theory but I’m too enraptured by everything else to really do a break down lol. The camera angles as well are so good at helping to convey tone and emotion, alongside transitions and panning. I will admit that some of the nuances of the music itself is lost on me. Reaction videos like these help me get a better understanding and appreciation for music and I love it. Thank you so much for this video.
This reaction was great! If you are interested in more good Helluva Boss songs, I recommend "House of Asmodeous." Its sung by the broadway singers of both Beetlejuice (from Beetlejuice the musical) and the genie (from Aladdin the musical).
The singer, Bryce Pinkham, used to be a Broadway performer. The character, Stolas, has been called out for loving a lower class demon (an Imp), and wants to make amends with them.
I am SO GLAD you are 'ohhing and aweing' at the exact same stuff I way! All the little cracks, emotions- im so glad because no one else I watched reacted the way I was looking for.
It's so interesting to hear a more technical perspective on this lovely piece, thank you! If you just want to see more of the sad owl and get another of his songs, you could check out the Helluva Boss episode "The Circus" by itself. (The main show is delightful but not everyone is up for that much dark edgy humor; the circus episode is much milder and can stand on its own as a story.) This was a fan song by PARANOIDDJ that the team loved enough to turn into an official music video. They did the same for another song, "Addict" by Silva Hound, and that's also great if you're interested in checking it out. Bryce Pinkham isn't the only Broadway star singing for these shows; Alex Brightman and James Monroe Ingleheart also have great musical numbers that you might find interesting from a technical perspective. "House of Asmodeus" and "Crooked Heart" both show off Ingleheart's impressive baritone. (And one more rec while I'm at it, since you said you normally react to video game music: I know nothing about Deltarune or the character Ralsei, but the song PARANOIDDJ did for them was too good to pass up.)
I’m not sure if I’ve heard the voice actor sing before (but I’m sure I have??) and I’m in LOVE. I adore how smooth and controlled his voice is and just ALSJDJJFJ so so good
The singer is Broadway leading man and Tony nominee, Bryce Pinkham. He's got phenomenal range and he's best known (at this moment) as this character and for his turn as Monty Navarro in "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". As noted below, the song composition was originally by PARANOiD Dj. The television show is far more raunchy, but with that strong undercurrent of character development you see here. I believe the songs in the show (because it's a musical) are done by Sam Haft of the Living Tombstone. This song is a lovely piece for you to start on!
Oh maaaaaan, i hope you'll check out some of the songs Hazbin Hotel will eventually release because Blake Roman- a starting out Broadway actor--- HAS THE EXACT RANGE in his voice that Bryce Pinkham (the singer in this video) has! Along with just- Hazbin Hotel being an overall musical series!
So, Big Fun Fact. This song was a fan made song made by ParanoidDJ that the creator of the series liked so much that they made it in to an official animated video sung by the voice actor for Stolas, the subject of the this video
I live to hear such insightful analysis! I always check out fandom reactions but it's so cool to hear some people knowledgeable in music talk about it!
I just found your Channel, and _thank you_ for acknowledging that Stolas has an _English accent!_ I cannot tell you what it means to finally have someone say that and not claim he has a “British Accent”! Thank you from an English Lioness and call me a new subscriber 💙🐱💙
this is one (Hell) of a rabbit hole. Vivize has 2 projects Hellvaboss and Hazbin Hotel Hellvaboss is on Se2 Ep 7 and currently in a mid season break~ ~while Hazbin Hotel Se 1 is currently airing on Prime Video. an Indie animation greenlit by a publisher Hazbin Hotel was being worked on for 4 years. while Hellva boss has been released on UA-cam during those 4 years. Vivize loves Musicals if you couldn't tell by this song
Oh I absolutely would love to hear you listen to more Helluva Boss songs! As many other commenters have stated; it's a very adult, explicity show however. Personally I'd recommend House of Asmodeus (VERY explicit), and two minute notice! (Many, many swears.) And don't worry about pausing! We're here to watch you and hear your comments, if we want to hear the song we can listen to it on our own!
Vivziepop's channel is a true phenomenon. The talent attached to something like a UA-cam Cartoon is unbelievable. Broadway voices, Popsingers, professional Voiceactors coupled with brilliant nuanced writing and amazing animation isn't something you come across often.
So this song was actually originally a fan song of helluva boss made by paranoid DJ, completely separate from the actual show, but then the creator loved it so much that she decided to make it canon and make a full music video for it. So the original was made and sung by paranoid DJ kind of imitating the voice of the VA, and then this version is sung by the official VA Bryce.
I would love to just watch you react to the songs of Helluva Boss, since this is a music based channel, but if you feel like creating a one off series of watching animated shows, Helluva Boss is top tier (BUT VERY ADULT!!! Don’t let this gorgeous song from Stolas fool you. He’s only non-explicit when he sings apparently lol)
i have thoughts after re-watching this and watching the newest episode of helluva boss. i don't think these two love birds are gunna get a happy ending...... from the amount of enemies blitz is stockpiling [sins, royalty, heaven, other lower class to even humans] to the fact they can never just seem to talk things out with each other like adults. and the fact this comedy is slowly becoming more tragedy i think what we are looking at is a story similar to the star crossed lovers, "Romeo and Juliet". a war is brewing and i hope blitz remembers when its all said and done to look his way.......
The whole series is a musical so if you really want to you could either watch the whole series which is very very good even without the music or you could just look up the music videos from the episodes and react to those if you don’t feel like watching the whole series which is what I would recommend.
It shows that just because stolis lives in hell doesn't mean he doesn't have emotions it's shows the he deeply care about this friends and about blitzo overall
Thank you so much for doing this video. His voice and this video gave me the inspiration I needed to get back into singing after a very long hiatus. His voice is amazingly beautiful and he packs such emotion in to these lyrics. Thank you so very much.
As a fan of the show I've been trying to find people reacting to this music video who don't know the background behind it to see if it hits just as hard for them as it did for me.
He sounds slightly more American (well, he IS American) in this song, but the character is a Goetia Prince, and that does tend to make Americans veer toward going very English. He is also very considerably good at doing a posh English accent. He's done it on Broadway even more flawlessly than here. And in certain songs he is downright operatic.
This show has a Load of great songs, and im a bit sad for you that you don’t get to know the story up to this, but its such an amazing song its still great without context
Kinda sad a LARGE portion of people watching this video are people who don't know Helluva Boss and don't understand it going in. But it's still an amazing song and my heart breaks for Stolas...
if you like this song i highly recommend watching the show and reacting to the songs from it theres a song in ever episode i believe and there all amazing
If you wanted to react to a series, helluva boss would be a great one! it is VERY inappropriate, but the visuals, voice acting, and emotional moments are amazing.

Fan-made song, made canon. I genuinely get a cry faced everytime I hear it
Real😭😭😭
You should give Helluva Boss songs a chance, many of them are very good!!
It's even sadder with context
THIS is the kinda reaction i wanted to see
5:38 I react the same way every time I hear that part of the song 😂❤
Real
The singer is Broadway leading man and Tony nominee, Bryce Pinkham. He's got phenomenal range and he's best known (at this moment) as this character and for his turn as Monty Navarro in "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder".
As noted below, the song composition was originally by PARANOiD Dj. The television show is far more raunchy, but with that strong undercurrent of character development you see here. I believe the songs in the show (because it's a musical) are done by Sam Haft of the Living Tombstone. This song is a lovely piece for you to start on!
Bryce is great at singing this might be my favorite song throughout the whole series.
I think people forget exactly much work goes into the animation and the skill that goes into it.
I don't know about this song specifically, but Bryce said he has cried during the recording of songs for the show.
If you want to hear heartbreaking belching you should listen to Owl in a Cage. The voice actor actually cries during the song
Woulda never thought you’d do this, but I love this! It’s a GREAT show! And its made by a someone here on UA-cam and can be found ON UA-cam
So, Big Fun Fact. This song was a fan made song made by ParanoidDJ that the creator of the series liked so much that they made it in to an official animated video sung by the voice actor for Stolas, the subject of the this video
Watching this as someone who is absolutely obsessed with helluva boss, I genuinely started tearing up during the first few seconds 😭
oh, could you please react to the whole series? It’s just so great and they have songs in every episode!
I live to hear such insightful analysis! I always check out fandom reactions but it's so cool to hear some people knowledgeable in music talk about it!
I HAD EXACTLY THE SAME REACTION ON EVERY MOMENT 😭😭😭😭😭
You really need to do the song “all to you” sung by the same character/va
I just found your Channel, and _thank you_ for acknowledging that Stolas has an _English accent!_ I cannot tell you what it means to finally have someone say that and not claim he has a “British Accent”!
Thank you from an English Lioness and call me a new subscriber 💙🐱💙
this is one (Hell) of a rabbit hole.
Vivize has 2 projects
Hellvaboss and Hazbin Hotel
Hellvaboss is on Se2 Ep 7 and currently in a mid season break~
~while Hazbin Hotel Se 1 is currently airing on Prime Video. an Indie animation greenlit by a publisher
Hazbin Hotel was being worked on for 4 years. while Hellva boss has been released on UA-cam during those 4 years.
(Many, many swears.)
And don't worry about pausing! We're here to watch you and hear your comments, if we want to hear the song we can listen to it on our own!
Thanks for this reaction.
I keep meaning to dive into the series, but this and the extends "You'll be ok" have cemented that I will.
Props to Paranoid DJ too, he wrote the song and Viv made it canon🥰🥰Bryce did a phenomenal job❤❤
Helluva Boss is such a raunchy just does not care comedy but packed with emotion, amazing music, and incredible animation
Real
Helluva Boss fan here and YES! this song is 1000000% emotion. I LOVE Stolas, hes so amazing
This music video got me to binge the series on UA-cam. It’s sooooo good!!!!
Been listening on repeat and each time the lump in my throat comes and the frission is sooooo real each time
Vivziepop's channel is a true phenomenon.
So the original was made and sung by paranoid DJ kind of imitating the voice of the VA, and then this version is sung by the official VA Bryce.
this song makes me cry every fucking time, it's SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG
I would love to just watch you react to the songs of Helluva Boss, since this is a music based channel, but if you feel like creating a one off series of watching animated shows, Helluva Boss is top tier (BUT VERY ADULT!!! Don’t let this gorgeous song from Stolas fool you. He’s only non-explicit when he sings apparently lol)
Yessssss! Bro, helluva boss is so good! Even if you dont make a video about it, you should watch it!
i have thoughts after re-watching this and watching the newest episode of helluva boss.
i don't think these two love birds are gunna get a happy ending......
from the amount of enemies blitz is stockpiling [sins, royalty, heaven, other lower class to even humans]
to the fact they can never just seem to talk things out with each other like adults.
and the fact this comedy is slowly becoming more tragedy
i think what we are looking at is a story similar to the star crossed lovers, "Romeo and Juliet".
a war is brewing and i hope blitz remembers when its all said and done to look his way.......
creepy looking demon with the voice of an angel i wanna hug him. poor stolas. am i the only one who gets goosebumps by his singing?
Glad you enjoyed the song. Bryce really is something special, isn't he? 😊 I appreciated your opinions from a vocal standpoint.
The whole series is a musical so if you really want to you could either watch the whole series which is very very good even without the music or you could just look up the music videos from the episodes and react to those if you don’t feel like watching the whole series which is what I would recommend.
God! Out of all the reaction videos, this one was just -- 5:40 . Same reaction. Loved your analyzations of the song.
Wow, I have no idea what this is but it's spectacular!
Helluva boss is an adult cartoon but with good comedy and beautiful moments
You can watch this and the entirity of helluva boss here without copyright issues
OMFG YOURE A DELIGHT TO WATCH!!! Please react to the other Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel songs PLEASE!!! Starting with Addict!!!
THANKS!
Oh my god. I didn't think I'd enjoy this song even more than I already did. Your breakdown is amazing! Happy to subscribe. 😊
no matter how many times i hear this song it breaks me .. its utterly beautiful
Real
if you wanna see more of his voice listen to "youll be okay"
The songs in this series can be very emotional and can reveal the various character's emotions or inner torments
Came for the analysis cuz I love the breakdowns, stayed for your channel and what you do!
It shows that just because stolis lives in hell doesn't mean he doesn't have emotions it's shows the he deeply care about this friends and about blitzo overall
Considering what the show is about, demon assassins in hell with raunchy humor/situations, the music is beautiful.
Real
I have no idea about this but I enjoyed it and that’s what matters!
my friend showed it to me i was already entertained i was watching it for a year or 2
I’m so afraid for the future episode, the full moon. I want these two to be happy like Fizz and Asmodeus.
I just love how you went from “I’m not sure about this” to “I love this” within seconds
This show has a Load of great songs, and im a bit sad for you that you don’t get to know the story up to this, but its such an amazing song its still great without context
The voice actor is a broadway performer. :) He's so good.
Bryce Pinkham is the singer and the voice of Stolas in the series. His voice makes me want to cry every time I watch this.... 😭
This was my favorite reaction to this. You give your videos a lot of personality and entertainment while also taking the content seriously.
Listen to all the Helluva Boss Music…it’s insanely well done….which is great since the Voice actor has no formal Musical training…
Real
Your reaction was lovely. This was me listening to it for the first time. Breathtaking
You should listen to "You will be ok" its a short lullaby but it gives a little more range to this voice actor.
Brilliant reaction. Glad you put into detail the type of singing.
i love stolas sm YOU ARE LITERALLY SO ME JUST WANTING TO PAUSE EVERY 0.1 SECONDS AND ALL THE AH OOH WAH UH, TY FOR THE REACTION !
If you wanted to react to a series, helluva boss would be a great one! it is VERY inappropriate, but the visuals, voice acting, and emotional moments are amazing.
