Ladies and Gentlemen, the fan song that did the most Emotional Damage to fans. Bryce Pinkham, with every bit of his soul, utterly MURDERED this song in the best way possible. I'm dead serious. I was on the edge of tears when watching this and the original version.
Major props to Paranoid Dj for creating the song in the first place.

I did cry watching this. Multiple times on fact.
I broke at the very end when the star scape turns back to the great hall and his white pupils disappear into his red irises. IMPORTANT NOTE stolas's pupils only appear in times of intense emotions, mainly fear(when striker shot him in the Café or when he realized he broke his promise to via), anger(his divorce to stella), and sadness(anytime he laments)

Lot of symbolism here, like the red string of fate, the sun being the giver and the moon being the receiver. God they did amazing to explain so much on how they feel.

And the worst part is that blitzø is so hard on himself that if stolas gives him an alternate way to reach the mortal realm he'll just assume that stollas is done with him especially after at Ozzies of stolas hiding his face after they were called out

While this may be after episode 6 or 7, he hasn’t given it to Blitzø yet and Blitzø did just get confirmation that a Demon Sin Lord is in a confirmed loving relationship with an imp (Fizzy) so maybe/hopefully he’s more open to what Stolas has to say when he gives him the crystal ❤
This is After season 2 episode 6. Likely during the mammon clown pageant.
Because the crystal he holds at the beginning is the one he went to ask Asmodeous for in episode six and was sent at the very end of it when fizz told Ozzy "fuck it just let him have it"
Stolas asked for the crystal in episode 6. When both Blitzø and Fizz were kidnapped by Crimson and Striker.
Stolas went to Ozzy's office and asked him about it.
Later in the episode Fizz says that's its okay for Ozzy to give stolas the crystal, after he and Blitzø had their emotional rekindling amd repaired the relationship they once shared.

The light from Stolas' eyes fading at the end of his song, hit the hardest honestly.

Near the end of the song, Stolas jumps from a giant body of water towards the red moon, which represents Blitzø. But just like the moon and the tides, even though they're drawn together, they can never reach one another. As if this song wasn't tragic enough already.
The bubbles looking like tears is so cool too
and the color gradient. blue for stolas and dark to lighter shades, red hues for blitz (plus gold for his constilation) and purple to represent both of them
As demented as Helluva Boss is the show knows how to make us cry
It's what convinced me to stick around. Crass humor is one thing, but genuine feels requires talent to inflict.

Not only does it make me laugh, but it makes me cry, and I love things that make me do both.
This was originally a fan song by artist paranoid DJ, they’ve done a lot of hazbin and helluva boss songs probably getting close to having one for each character by now. Definitely recommend checking out more from paranoid DJ.
I would love to see more people check out the original content, like the show is awesome, this official ver. is magnificent, but support for the original ye?
Also the original has slightly different lyrics in a part of the song. Both songs are fantastic, but the original makes me feel a lot more.
Just Look My Way hits even harder, when you realize Blitzø and Stolas have hardly even made eye contact with each other all of Season 2.
S2E1 was primarily flashbacks, and Stolas confronting Stella the night after Ozzie’s.
S2E2 was them frantically trying to track down Octavia when she fled to LA.
S2E3 was dealing with Crimson and Chaz
S2E4 was when Blitzø sent Moxxie & Millie alone to save Stolas from Striker while he brought Loona to the hospital. And even when they all regrouped at the end, Blitzø didn’t go up to visit Stolas in the hospital, merely flaking after a brief text message.
S2E5 was the camp when Blitzø confronted his sister.
S2E6 Fizz and Blitzø finally talked, but Stolas didn’t even know Blitzø was kidnapped by Crimson either.
And S2E7 was all about Mammon and Fizz.
So the way I view this song, isn’t just the idea of Blitzø and Stolas sitting down and talking. It’s also that since Ozzie’s, the instances where they’ve both been in close proximity, they haven’t even made eye contact since. When neither stood up for the other at Ozzie (Stolas didn’t stop Fizz or Verosika from laying into Blitzø, and by then Blitzø was petrified, being stared down by Fizz for the first time since his accident), it did some major damage to the relationship. Even when Stolas was endanger and nearly killed by Striker, Blitzø hadn’t come to save him or visit him in his hospital room.
I didn't notice that! That makes this even more sad 😭
The line "and i'm Terrified..." breaks me. Whether you hide your emotions or wear them on your sleeve, being emotionally vulnerable like this can be terrifying, especially when you've had years living with someone like Stella tearing you down at every chance she could...
And while i thankfully don't have someone like Stella in my life, I've felt that emotionally vulnerable fear before, and i wouldn't wish it on anyone.
11:38 The first refrain, Stolas sings, in Eb minor;
“Is there something more that I don’t know,
that you won’t say till we’ve both grown cold?
Just say…please stay, look my way.”
But the final time in Bb minor, he sings,
“And if there’s something more that I don’t know,
I’ll save us both before we grow cold, if you’ll stay…
And just say, look my way.”
The first refrain suggests an openness to get to the root of what’s holding them both back from taking the next step in the relationship. He questions it, ready to hear what Blitzø has to say. But the final time, it’s not a question, it’s a direct statement. He resigns himself to not even having to hear what Blitzø has to say, like he already knows what the answer is going to be. And statement also becomes an action, “I’ll save us both, before we grow cold.” I’ll give you this out, before we spend the rest of our days in this “will we/won’t we,” so we can both move on. Because-let’s face it, pining for unrequited love, or love that the other person says they can never return for any number of reasons, at some point, you may have to let go, and just make peace knowing whatever could have been, just CAN’T be now…Sometimes that’s more painful than just an initial flat-out rejection.
The extend to which Stolas' voice actor can convey emotions through songs is incredible.
So that little gem at the start is one of Asmodeus's crystals, which is what he and Stolas talked about in "Oops".
A sad prediction I heard from someone though is that while Stolas is giving it to Blitz to start a relationship by ending their contract, Blitz will see it as a customary parting gift as if to say "Thanks for fun. You can go now", making him see it more of a sign of rejection.
We can't forget the fact that Blitz feels he's not worthy of being anything more than a temporary plaything. From his perspective, the business arrangement is the only way someone of Stolas' status could ever want to be with him.
Stolas is ending their arrangement to show Blitz that he means more to him than that, but in doing so, he's also giving Blitz the chance to run away...which is what he's done with every relationship before this...when he hasn't actively sabotaged it so the other party is the one to break things off.
Both Blitz and Stolas are broken in fundamental ways. They both want the same thing, but in Blitz's case, all of that pain and rejection has manifested as an active hatred of himself. This brings along with it a belief that he's a toxic pariah who only hurts those close to him.
That's a huge barrier to break through.
Honestly, there are SO many songs by Paranoid DJ that would be perfect for the Helluva Boss or Hazbin Canon.
F*****k! Why?! Why does this show have to hit us so deeply? We all went into this thinking "A show about imps running an assassination company? That'll be worth some good laughs"... And now look at it and at us. Clutching our hearts and shedding tears for a story that continues to come across as so effing relatable that it just... Yeah.

It’s an astounding accomplishment for what started out as a fan-made song to be seen and adapted by a series’ creator, and have it adapted into the canon! For reference, an artist who goes by “Paranoid DJ” wrote and produced this song nearly 3 years ago!
I say adaptation though, because DJ’s original song, had a few differences with the lyrics that were changed here.
In Vivzie’s adaptation, the lyrics in the Pre-Chorus are,
Let me hold you, keep you close to me.
I long to hear your voice.
But dearest, I know better now.
I must give you this choice.
Whereas DJ’s lyrics changed halfway through before the refrain;
“Let me hold you, keep you close to me.
I long to hear your voice.
Come now, my little impish plaything.
We both made our choice.”
I can see why Vivzie adapted the lyrics as she did, because the lyrics there get kinda gross. You have to remember, Paranoid DJ wrote this song nearly 2-3 years ago, close to when Stolas’ character was exclusively the flamboyant guy who’d cheated on his wife, and had seemingly subjected his daughter to a toxic home life, just to bang Blitzø. This song was released on October 11th of 2021, 20 days before Ozzie’s dropped, and well before S2E1, “The Circus”, had dropped, so we didn’t know Stolas’ abusive marriage was arranged, or that he’d stuck it out for so long just for Octavia. We only had the narrative of him cheating in mind, and seeming like this sex crazed guy, fetishizing Blitzø and the prospect of sleeping with the lower class while in his position. I can see why the lyrics where Stolas calls Blitzø his plaything, and says that Blitzø forfeited his choice to leave their toxic, monthly arranged bang-sesh for the Grimoire were changed. It was when Stolas’ character seemed-at best, desperate to be with Blitzø, and at worst, preying on him because of their class differences. In the canon version though, Stolas’ does acknowledge that at some point he only saw Blitzø as an outlet for his desires, when he sang the final refrain, “I will try to make amends, for making you, means to an end.” I don’t hate Stolas, but we have to acknowledge that for as much as he wanted to be more with Blitzø, he didn’t always do the best job of making that clear. It speaks volumes though that Stolas wants to atone for unintentionally hurting Blitzø, and “to save [us] both before we grow cold,” with the Asmodean Crystal as an out.
I respect both versions of the song, both the original and the adapted canon one, because DJ truly captured Stolas’ perceived character at that time in those lyrics. But Bryce’s voice and the altered lyrics do it a lot of justice too. Please though, do listen to the original too. Far too often, smaller artists and their work are overlooked. Happens all too often with fan-made stuff.
AND THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE LIGHT-HEARTED SERIES! 😭
When I first saw this music video, I was confused for a few seconds before I realized what the song meant for Stolas and Blitz's ongoing relationship. The parts that had me crying, and on the edge of my seat were where Stolas was outright begging to explain, the one where he realized Blitz has walls up to protect himself, his proclamation to make amends with him jumping off of the water, and finally... the light going out of his eyes at the end. That part broke me on a personal level.
The original song was written before Ozzie’s but I truly think this is meant to take place between Oops and The Full Moon (the upcoming next episode)
I'm pretty sure this takes place after season 2 episode 6 since Stolas went to Ozzie's for one of his stones for Blitz to go to the human world without the grimoire. Stolas wants to give Blitz the stone with no strings attached to show how much he cares for Blitz.

If it makes you (and everyone else) feel better: Stolas and Blitzo's relationship WILL happen. Vivzie and her crew have said that this is indeed the end goal. We'll probably have to go through Hell (pun not intended) until it happens, but it will happen.
There's a song called "Thank you and Goodnight" that's sang by the cast of the OG UA-cam Pilot of Hazbin Hotel. I don't know if you'll ever see this comment but, if you do, I'd love to see your reaction to it.

Gawd. I remember when "Addict" was just a lyrics video too. I stumbled on "Look My Way" due to recommends and the excitement of it being turned into a full animation as well. The things this team does sometimes are just stunning
So there's actually four parts in total here. Which explain everything really good especially the music in the background. (Music geek sorry)
You have the 1st part which is Stolas explaining his duties and saying what he could do for Blitz, so its calming and kinda has the inviting but melancholic tone which already draws us in.
The 2nd part gradually goes up as Stolas questions the contract and begs Blitz to let him explain himself but as he falls to his knees it goes back down.
Then the 3rd part is probably my favorite because of how it is so soft and the tone is brought even further down with the piano and strings (Masterpiece 👌🏽). Obviously the piano does have it's little changes when Stolas blames himself but then realizes that Blitz is hurting and it starts to bring it down with the strings as Stolas is willing to let Blitz go.
The 4th part is the big revelation, but not immediately as Stolas does hesitate for a moment which is why there's a pause, but when he leaps at the moon (which is Blitz) the music brings everything from a 1 to a 10 immediately, because Stolas is willing to fight for the relationship and when he falls he is now willing to let Blitz go if it doesn't work out. Which is when he falls into the water and the music gets softer as he just wants Blitz to look his way before deciding on anything.
That's at least my interpretation and so sorry for those who are reading this 😂
This song is so good lyrically, visually, emotionally. It hit me in such a deep place because i had recently got out of a toxic relationship that took everything out of me. No matter what i would do no matter how hard i tried to be there for them and help i was always accused of doing something terrible behind their back. And thru it all part of me thought what was i doing wrong and second guessing myself on every action i would take, and all I wanted was to have them to look my way without anger and delusion and see what they where doing to me and to see how much i really cared and loved them. Now being out of that relationship im much better mentally and emotionally, i don't have to feel terrible for liking my hobbies, watching anime, and just being myself. Alicia you have helped me so much in bringing me back to who i am and have effectively saved my life because i was on the brink of taking my own. For that i thank you so much for helping me see the path forward and bringing joy back to my life. ❤
maaan,i've been going though some tough relation situation for past month and a half and listened to this track every few hours after this dropped, song is great, voice actor is great and that whole situation was kinda on the same level until few hours ago

The Shoryuken of Emotional Damage is here. I wasn’t a big Stolas and Blitzø supporter before this before this, but damn if Bryce Pinkham didn’t just rip my heart out like the guy from Temple of Doom with this song. I like many others just want these two characters to be happy. And to top off the amazingness of this tearing of heart strings is that it started out as just a fan song on Paranoid DJ’s channel. Well done to all involved!

the moon is representing blitz, so at the beginning of the song it starts out small, like an object that stolis can hold and own, how blitz feels, but at the end the moon is waaay bigger than stolis, meaning he wants to let blitz know just how much he feels about him, he sees him as a literally huge part of his life, and him falling back away from the moon is blitz being unreachable, thats why he wants blits to just acknowledge him as someone he cares for

Hey Alicia, so this was a rollercoaster of a ride. I actually managed to not cry, and not because I'm heartless or have no soul. But one thing that is evident for most who ship Stolas and Blitz together, and even the two themselves, is that to heal their relationship, they need to understand each other by actually opening up like when Blitz did to Frizz but on a personal level towards himself and Stolas being able to see the scars and making an effort to heal them properly. This was a great music video that was both beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I give my thanks to Stolas's voice actor for keeping his melody both calm and dynamic without losing the tempo or pitch and the way he breaks to show emotion helps to sell the singer's turmoil within the song.
Another thing is that now I want to see Luna's back story into the fray. I also wish for it to be done in a soft rock genre since her character is not one to show an aggro dynamic toward her past, instead, using a slower and softer melody. Showcasing her deeper and vulnerable side that she doesn't want expose. Her back story I want to see and for someone to heal her, either Blitz or Octavia since they are the only ones that can reach her on an emotional level.

Yeah this music video is set after the episode where Stolas talks to Asmodeus (episode 6 "oops" of season 2) because that crystal in the box is what he's planning to give to Blitz so he can travel to the living realm without having to use the grimoire.
Crazy thing is, I held onto my emotions throughout this music video... but it nearly broke me down.

Yep Blitz as going to see this as Stolas discarding him because he's done with his 'novelty' he doesn't think Stolas really cares about him, if Stolas doesn't make it clear he still wants to see him, if Blitz is okay with it, Blitz will absolutely take this the wrong way and blow up his connection to Stolas.
What's interesting is that the "Bind on our souls" might be something literal and physical in this world. Hazbin Hotel is exploring this with Valentino+Angel Dust and Huskar+Alistair and it seems like a contract/deal with a more powerful demon like what Blitz and Stolas made might literally be a pain point for Blitz because he is being effected by the deal. I wonder if that does play into this at all and why it's such a big deal for Stolas to let Blitz "go his own way" and "have an out."

the first part is acknowledgement, that despite what he wants there is something amiss. that this isn't straightward
2nd part is reflection, that this started as a obligation. caring not about status or physical desires... while expressing the doubt that he should even indulge in these feelings, out of fear of being left with them
3rd part is a Conclusion, while still phrased hypothetical he suggests that, maybe it is mutual, it's just that someone thing is in the way... that this could be painful for both of them
4th part is a resolution, "i'll try to make amends, for making you a means to an end, so look my way. please look my way" an apology into a plea. into "and if there is something more i don't know, i'll save us both before we grow cold, if you'll stay, just say, look my way" a promise and an offer. to be whatever he needs to be...
Its a greay song, hiys so many good notes for their characters for how the story represents them.

Blitz HAD a moment where he saw Fizz and Asmodeus together and it's not been dealt with yet.
So far, he has very little reason to believe that the higher Demons are driven by anything but veign desires. And while Stolas is no Mortal Sin, he is absolutely a higher Demon either at the level or slightly below that of a Mortal Sin.
But a working, healthy relationship between Fizz and Asmodeus might very much change his perspective.
My prediction:
Asmodeus will get in trouble for being both the Demon of Lust and being in a monogamous relationship, which goes very much against the concept.
Blitz won't believe that it's serious and expects Asmodeus to dump Fizz to save face and is so convinced of it that he blows off Stolas' last try in a moment of rage.
Asmodeus will stand by Fizz and Blitz will realize what he's done to Stolas
