I got to give props to Alex Brightman for his phenomenal performance as Fizz in this episode, it genuinely blew me away. The way Fizz can get an entire crowd to cheer for a song where the chorus is literally just "fuck you" is actually amazing.
Yes and also Sam Haft always just knews what melody the episode needs. I love every musics and just background melodies in the episodes. They fit soo well.

Fun fact about that final song, it is heavily inspired by Ke$ha songs, and that character's speaking voice IS Ke$ha. However, that characters singing voice is someone else (we presume that is because of the legal issues that she has had to go through recently, but nothing has been confirmed).

Also, the animation is so good. they perfectly captured siren vibes with how smooth their movements are. Their symmetry, the choreography, the sea-theme is all just mwah chef's.

I absolutely ADORE Bee. Love her whole design, that she appears as a Bee-Hellhound but isn't a Hellhound. She genuinely seemed to like Loona, instead of giving us a typical mean girl trope.
I love her design but the artist inside me is just crying at her honey fluid stuff (i.e. stomach, hair) and how much it probably cost to animate T .T

She did voice the character though and composed the song but the actual singer was Rochelle Diamante who honestly did a fantastic job as a soundalike

Can we just appreciate how good this shows animation is? Like, in Klown B!tch and Cotton Candy the color palette changed several times and they all looked great. This show is so beautiful.

19:28 She's supposed to represent a Queen Bee, her name being Queen Beezlebub, and is the reason she has wings and four arms. She's one of the Seven Deadly Sins, representing Gluttony. That's why she's talking about eating in this song and how she has the magic to enlarge the food.
Extra: I really like when she says, "I'm what you want, not what you need." Because of the whole Gluttony thing. I personally find it really neat.

That last song was sung by the embodiment of gluttony. Hence, she was indulgent and encouraging indulgence. Luna has her petty reasons not to like Beezlebub girl. But she was so surprisingly chill. It's weird but it seems like even some of the sins know when their specific sin isn't a good thing. Looking after people who've had too much or Lust being against even love potions because it's too forceful. Mammon/Greed on the other hand...
It's because those things AREN'T their sins. They may look like them, but their source is very different.
Gluttony is overindulging, which means you have to be enjoying it. Drinking too much in order to have fun is very different than drinking too much because you're angry or sad.
Lust is all about pleasure, and using force is all about power and control.

Of course Sylva Hound is a part of the crew for these songs - I always loved all her work, it's special everytime. I'm just a little bit sad, Kesha couldn't perform "Cotton Candy" herself because of some legal issues with her producer. Well, the version we hear here is great too. I love it!
Ke$ha does actually sing a little bit in Cotton Candy! She does the glitchy part at the start of the song, but the rest is Rochelle.
Yeah, I really hope she’s eventually able to release her version of the song, it really sucks that she’s pretty much unable to associate with HB, like if she doesn’t want to thats valid but… it seems like she *can’t*. Ex: Rochelle Diamante signs the official Bee prints, and not Kesha, or that the crew has never directly stated Kesha’s name outside of the credits. (Don’t get me wrong, Rochelle is amazing, i do just hope Kesha is able to you know… not be still stuck with this BS.)

It goes without saying that just about every song in Helluva Boss is an absolute banger! Both the voice actors vocals are phenomenal and the animators put a lot of incredible effort into making the scenes of the episodes fit the atmosphere of the song!
4:17 to answer your question, she(the tall demon girl) was selling drugs with the guy they trying to kill. Which is also why she was mad they killed him because now that she has some sort of job she thinks her brother is trying to ruin it and ruin her life again
Cotton Candy was originally meant to be sung by Ke$ha. They even got her to voice the character!
Unfortunately, contracts and legal stuff got in the way, so technically it's sung by a sound-alike.

Fun fact Mathew, if you turn on the closed captions for "Look At This" (in the original episode) it will translate the Italian - he really is just saying nonsense, it's hilarious. If you ever watch the full episodes definitely turn on the closed captions for the second season, they start adding in funny commentary in parts of it

I love this series so much! I definitely recommend you take another dip in to this series, the songs are so good. I’d recommend “Crooked”, “Crashing a Wedding”, and “Stolas Sings” if/when you do this again

I think everyone agrees that Klown B**** needs a full version release, it’s such a bop.
They have just recently released a new song called “Look my way” which you should definitely react to. It’s easily one of the best songs in the show so far

One of the reasons Fizz's finale from Mammon's Musical hits so hard is that _not only_ is it a great song to sing along to, it's also the culmination of his growth throughout the two episodes where we've really gotten to know him. Look at Fizz at the start of the episode, how nervous and down on himself he is, then look at how strong and tall he stands at the end. It's awesome and it really makes you cheer for the little guy. For a song where the chorus is literally "Fuck You", it's incredibly heartwarming.
I'm honestly surprised the song Crooked from the new episode isn't on here, having two broadway singers in the sweetest, most sincere love song of the whole show is an absolute highlight! X3
If you ever do another one of these, I recommend "Crooked" if you want that sweet and different sound than what we see a lot in Helluva Boss! One of my favorite songs yet, and a shorter one too.
Fun fact; Beelzebub, the one who sang cotton candy is voiced by Ke$ha. I don't think she sang the actual song due to some licensing thing I can't be bothered to look up but she definitely wrote it and voices her normally throughout the rest of the episode

Speaking of context, without giving too much away, the human in Millie’s Song was a drug dealer out of a summer camp, Mammon & the mob Fizz sings to are all part of the Greed realm, & the one singing Cotton Candy is the staple of Gluttony. In case it wasn’t more clear, HELLuva Boss takes place in Hell. Just makes me curious about Sloth & Pride- one of the earliest episodes over a parking spot touches a little on Lust in the best way. Love your content! ❤

Trust me, Helluva Boss is a lot deeper than it seems in the first few episodes, but as you get into it, you get really attached to the lore and characters. It makes me so happy.

The good news about Klown Bitch is that there's at least a couple videos on UA-cam where people have edited together the version from the show with the demo version written by Sam Haft to create a "full version" and they're actually pretty good

Two Minutes Notice is even better in the context of the episode. The episode is effectively all about how Fizz suffers under Mammon and how he feels trapped within due to a fear of losing everything he built without his fame.
Two Minutes Notice is set after a heart to heart between Fizz and Ozzie where Ozzie assures Fizz that he loves him for him and not his fame, giving Fizz the courage to finally break the chains Mammon has on him, symbolised by him ripping up his outfit.
Two Minutes Notice is Fizz's triumph over Mammon and him announcing his new freedom.
Helluva Boss is one of my favorite seties ever. I hope Hazbin Hotel has just as good music.

The clown Fizzy is freaking incredible and the sweetest saddest story. Him and Blitz have a REALLY deep connection so Blitz shooting the Hound on his leg is like childhood BFF supporting you- very sweet

The last girl singing is the sin of Gluttony Beelzebub or for the episode everyone just calls her Bee, which is why her song is had a load of food references and more about “what you want, not what you need”. She’s a mix of a hell hound and a bee hence the multiple arms and little antennas like a insect but still has wolf ears and snout.
He kinda comfirmed my thought about kpop , he said both cotton candy and clown bitch are kpop type and I think that both song feel very 2010 type music, and I guess kpop does have that feeling

Behind Fizz on the stage we could see the embodiment of Lust cheering Fizz on, who is also Fizz' partner Asmodeus. So far we only have appearances of 4 out of the 7 Deadly Sins, they are a pretty big deal.

fun fact about cotton candy, it was done by kesha, but due to the legal issues with her former producer, the episode couldn't even be released until the matter was settled, so the episode came out much later than it was supposed to and iirc they had to find someone who sounded like kesha to sing the song. tbh i'm surprised you didn't pick up on it sounding like kesha, because it's such a unique and recognizable sound to her older music

some context in case you want them:
"You got the power" - from S2 ep5. Millie and Moxxie are send on an investigation mission to figure out who killed their newest client and then murder the culprid, meanwhile Blitz goes to look for his sister. Millie and Moxie do a genderbent to disguise themselves. Millie (now going by "Millard") manages to become popular amongst the campers, hinch why thiw song exists. Meanwhile Moxie goes after the target. The target being one of the camp's leaders, as well as Barbie Wire's (Blitz's sister) dealer. So Moxie's trying to kill his target while Barbie's protecting him bc he's her dealer, and Blitz is kinda just there trying to get back in contact with his sis.
"Look at this" - from S2 ep6. Blitz and Fizzarolli accidentally manage to get kidnapped by Striker and Moxie's dad, who happens to be the head of a local mafia gang. Blitz and Fiz are forced to face their past and to rebound some of their old friendship while trying to escape, this is a result of that.
"2 minute notice" - from S2 ep7. Mammon, the prince of Greed, has been holding Clown contests for over 10 years, and Fiz has won them the past 10 years, resulting in him basically becomming Mammon's brand. (which is why the sex dolls exist). Hower, after an extrememly stressful and toxic day, Fiz comes to the conclusion that it would be better to just quit.
"Klown Bitch" - from S2 ep7. This one happens before 2 minute's notice. It's a song preformed by a new set of contestants who managed to get all the way to the finals. That's it. They're just contestants in Mammon's clown show. There is a full verion of "Klown Bitch" btw. The second half was used as the autro song of that episode.
"Cotton Candy" -S1 ep8. A song from the "lost episode" (this one went through development hell bc of Kesha voicing a character. Though she does not preform the song. A stand-in does.) Basically the "prince" of Gluttony is throwing a party and Loona decided to go. This is her literally singing a song about her being Gluttony.

Queen Bee, the character who sang “Cotton Candy” is voiced by Kesha, but she couldn’t sing the song due to legal reasons. And she is the Sin of Gluttony which is why she is so keen on making everyone happy with food. In “2 Minute Notice” the character Fizz was quitting from is the Sin of Greed, which is why he said that he had sold every part of him, (and the reason in those songs, you could see sigils in them. Those are the sigils of Gluttony and Greed respectively. Also in House of Asmondeus, you could see the Sin of Lust)

I’m not sure if it’s meant to be, but the song “you’ve got the power” seems like it’s inspired by jack black’s band tenacious d- the voice, the crude language, rock genre- if not on purpose, then it’s just probably just a huge coincidence how similar it sounds. that being said, in the tenacious d movie they literally fight the devil, and this show is based in hell.
