As you mentioned. It was 2 years before GM unlocked the C8's ECU. The S650 was introduced June 2023 while already having a Whipple Super Charger that uses a Ford approved Whipple tune.
StangMode Great Video I hope Ford Unlocks S650 Mustangs asap so people fully enjoy their S650 Mustangs and I can't wait to see some Drag Racing Content
I am getting all my information sent to me for my application for my GTD and it's coming together real good hopefully I'll have some more info to share with you in your channel and I'm also getting another secret mustang that's coming out I'm sure it'll probably be shown on April 17th I think you know what it is and I don't want to say unless it isn't what it's supposed to be they also have for the 60th anniversary which is going to be shown off on April 17th sort of like a sticker package saying 60 of anniversary mustang that would be available on mustangs after April 17th
Simple solution put a haltech in it or other aftermarket ecu, beats waiting 2 years for them to unlock the ecu. Haltech will likely have a plug n play one ready within the next few months possibly since we've got s650s in Aus now too, wish they weren't 90k au though 😳 2016s still going for 40k used 🙄 be my next toy to replace my xr6 turbo for sure though, barras are fun but I think a coyote would be more fun 🤔👌
Gonna be 2 yrs . They say its the same encryption as the bronco raptor and its not even close what palm beach dyno said.look at the 21 f150 was 2 yrs before was unlocked. If ford would let something just slip out by accident mustang sales would go through the roof untelling how many people are just keeping there s550 because the s650 isnt tunable. If ford want to sale cars unlock the mustang for aftermarket !!!! I think the darkhorse would be a monster with boost ajd custom tune with the bottom end and gt500 base short block talking 1200whp with boost and fuel
The 2023 f150 with the 3.5 ecoboosts are still untunable. Its pretty sad as a mpt 93 prx tiune (on the mechanically identical 21 and 22s) get you from 370 to 490 rwhp. The only option is to swap to a 2022 ecu which is an pain and requires ecu cloning via fdrs. Maybe the 650 guys can run an older ecu???
EPA is after all of us. In the Motorcycle world they are starting to force companies to submit forms on who buys tuners, and fining MFG’s of tuners.. EPA sucks
Since its inception 60 years ago, modding has been a central part of Mustang ownership. I think Ford’s going to hurt their sales if they don’t open up the programming. If they’re going to try and offer all the mod options through the factory, that’s going to hurt their business, and also everyone whose business is modding Mustangs. This is just bad vibes all over the place. Mr Jim Farley, please hear this. Time to open up the mod market.
People out here acting like it’s a brand new platform. We all already know what it’s capable of as it is hands-down, the most used and documented platform on UA-cam now…
As I said there bro I was in the I've been in the automotive business for 45 years and I would say half of my business or more is aftermarket we'll get there don't worry about it there are people doing it You're not going to put people like people like Whipple steeda Whipple out of business Borland they're not going anywhere anytime soon
2024 mustang won’t be tune able. Got to think about it, Whipple and Ford may have agreed on getting the money for the supercharger and keep the aftermarket out.
@@spookhurt2374 Ford is working on keeping a V8 engine an option by staying within the fleet mpg and carbon emission regulations. Ask Stellantis how not following those guild lines created the end of the Hemi along with a 300 million dollars mpg fine. Ford's isn't following other companies. Ford tunes the engines in their vehicles so they can comply with those government regulations while continuing to offer their performance V8 engines. If you complete some research. You'll discover that Ford's crate engines are tunable. The same engines used in their vehicles which means those V8 engines are also tunable. The Whipple SC that Ford uses on their 5.0 Coyote's requires a tune. It's obvious the new 830+ S650 Gen 4 Coyote Shelby Super Snake is tuned. I'm wondering if you own or going to purchase an S650 Mustang GT or Dark Horse and is tuning that important to you or are you just complaining? The tuning will become available. If you can't wait. Purchase a pre-owned S550. FYI. Ford isn't losing money because the lower sales volume Gen 4 Coyote S650 Mustang GT and Dark Horse has a locked ECU. Any drop in Ford's profits is from the cost of EV development and vehicle pricing. That statement even applies to Tesla's 55% stock lose
@JasonWagner-qf1in Ford performance is offering unlocked ECUs on their crate motors. It's pretty easy to move that tune to the S650 Mustang GT and Dark Horse since both the crate and vehicle engines use basically the same ECU. Also keep in mind the Gen 4 Coyote Whipple Supercharger install requires a Whipple tune and it appears the new S650 Gen 4 supercharged Coyote used in the Shelby Super Snake has been tuned to produce over 830 horsepower.
I quit buying your stuff because I’m still waiting on a hoodie that I ordered 7 months ago. Just keep getting excuses. Been trying to give the benefit of the doubt because I’ve ordered many things from u. But this is getting ridiculous. And yes I’ve emailed many times and just keep getting excuses.
I can guarantee you that ford would sell more mustangs if the tuning was unlocked.. ford's losing sales and the aftermarket is hurting because of it.. I dont get it

Wait…so the ecus are actually locked still that’s crazy

I am the Only Person with a Mustang 6.0.😂
There’s a lot of LS swapped mustangs out there , 6.0 are very common in mustangs

this is another c8 tbh. they can "tune" them but not fully tune them. olde will be better

Ford doesn’t want people to tune them, the s650 gone be just like the c8
Just confirmed that the S550 is still the better choice currently.
Ford want more people to buy the FP800S option - rather than go to a tuner they can’t make money from .
By 2026 all new vehicles sold in states will have a gov shut off switch. No more new post 24' vehicles for me, nooooo.
Shpuldnt be putting a tune on new car that has way more pwr than 80% of people can handle and see ya warranty.
Log off bro!
