I wish they would get rid off the missing cargo option - it does not make sense to lose cargo like coal or iron ore when the station is "overloaded". It happens when the cargo waits there longer and its not picked up by vehicle.
Biggest problem with hub is, how long you are going to make the train to satisfy the city's demand for all the products? After trying it, hub is not able to keep up with the city's demand for all the reconfiguration by moving all the goods and storing it in a hub.
The limit in the game for length is 680m, x that by multiple trains going in and you should be sound as long as you have a strong network to get them there fast
@@Hushey Sure, also noticed that need add like 4, 6 etc engines, but it is slowing my main line down and the length of the platform/track to make it merge back into main line in cities is a impediment. Also it is not looking to be cost effective in the game. No question, hub is a cooler design. But with point to point, I am making 130 to 140 M/yrs income with just 2 products and only 8 cities connected without any passengers network. Game should make the running cost 10 times when the train is running vs being idle. Are we able to make more money in hub vs point to point, I doubt it. Current game doesn't give any benefit for hub network for sure even though that makes perfect sense.
Just set it to easy or normal, you'll be fine, dont worry mate! Cargo hubs are not a requirement however they are much better to do than plugging every industry to every city
That's not vanilla though, it's exciting because this is what we will see in EVERY let's play and play through, not just one or two, if you're lucky. Thanks for watching!

you already had it in the vanilla game that the cities would take more goods the bigger they got. Up to 6 goods i think. So don't know how much this actually changes
@@Hushey you can literally change it before you start a new game. when you start a game you see what map you get and if you press next or whatever it is in english on the bottom right you can choose the amount of goods that your city can have.
hmm, maybe not the most up to date video, but: Would be cool if multifreight cargo trains actually worked, but doesnt seem like it the way I like to do it. If you have several cargo lines from the same industry to different destinations it already gets hairy with the goods distribution by the transport hubs, then if you try multiple lines with the same destination & cargo you can pretty much forget about even trying to make that work, dont you? Have only been playing for 1,5 weeks to be fair, but - from what I experienced in hours of testing - the cargo distributation AI (or whatever you call it) is a mess. E.g., I hope I can explain: I tried to deliver bread with a few goods wagons on all my trains coming by the bakery industry (instead of one big train), but: Some stupid mechanic allocates like 150+ bread for a train with 2 small 1850 cargo wagons, only stopping by very rarely above all things, while the train composition with way more space for the bread and higher frequenzy only gets like 20% of its capacity filled up. Same with the harbour I tried to make the logistical hub for bread delivery on the whole map: More than 1 ship line doesnt really work, ships on one of them leave half empty while there is still a lot of bread left on the pier (allocated for the other line). I love this game so much already but this good distribution bs really annoys me tbh. Seems to make it impossible to dive into more creative cargo logistics - for me at least, maybe I got sth. wrong? - I did find just a few forum discussions about the matter though... If you have any ideas (or more questions) on it: - help would be much appreciated!
You mean the one about the distributation center and stuff? I did. So you are saying I should do 1 large train? Im quite early game so that doesnt really work with the vehicles I got so far. Also, my map (small size and lots of ships) doesnt really fit it. Problem then is if you got multiple train routes that bring stuff to the same destination one way or another the game messes up the distribution on the cargo ramps (see above for more detailed explaination)
@@Hushey Ironic thing is, that profit decay on goods has actually been implemented in the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe, which is a 2,5D pixelart/sprite game from like the 90s. However, it will be interesting once it gets added into Transport Fever 2, because that is also a balancing thing, which is very hard to do.

I suppose its for balancing. Just make sure your platform and frequency is good!
The game really took off. Great work on the channel. Awesome stuff.

Ooooo that's sounds like a great update. Will be so nice to have mixed trailer trains
It will!
Will there be a way to remove this feature? Im a newbie and This game is already hard the way it is

Very much a US style of train loading, not very UK orientated, but will reserve full judgement till the update arrives
Thanks for the comment! Would you care to explain the UK method? Interested!

still waiting for decaying goods. If a goods takes too long to get to destination it will give you 0 money but if you are fast it gives you more.
That would be fantastic. If you don't mind learning a little LUA, that shouldn't be too hard to do as a mod!
