Just a pointer for future videos - as I understand it, standard practise for freight rail has always been to keep liquid storage (ESPECIALLY oil/fuel) as far away from the loco as possible, either at the back or in the middle of the train. Just a fun little realism/authenticity detail that costs you nothing (and obviously means nothing in game), but it'll impress all the nerds 😂
@@Hushey Nah, I'm just an enthusiast. I like photographing and filming trains around my country for social media, researching into the history and everything, and I do speak to people who work on the railways, but that's all
@@LucyJrts I know this a bit of a late reply, but do you know how they handle weight management on mixed trains then? Tanker wagons are quite heavy, so according to smooth operation they should be front, but from safety standpoint they should be at the back.. Any clue how you manage that?
I think you can make single track stations more efficent in terms of storage if one side of a station track is a passenger platform with the other side being a cargo platform all the way down, in the mid-game I feel like you could also upgrade stations with more tracks using an alternation cargo/passenger platform layout
Question for your modern cities (2020 and beyond) what trains do you use for your passenger lines like commuter and cross country and the other one (I forgot)

Yeah cool will try and remember that. Thank you Lucy. Do you work on the railways?

Yeah this is a very early game design. Youd never dream of using this any later on. Watch the video linked at the end for more advanced players
Okay that is a really smart strategy, I did this too in one of my many playthroughs, don't remember which one tho unfortunately.
Thank you just bought the game last week and this was making me go crazy. keep up the video.
Will do! Glad you found it useful!
banger vid, are you planning on updating your traffic video now that they updated the traffic AI?
Has the update come out?
video covering update - probably not. Video refreshing traffic techniques and lane management - yes.
What about the emissions generated from the train when its going in to the station?
It dosent matter as it is very early game. Watch the video linked at the end for more advanced players!
I'm happy that derailing is not a thing.
For 1850 thats suspiciously long trains
Nahh its fine

Cargo hob. I know you say hub, but it is so close to hob
🤷😂

👌
You start with 5M$ and can't build anything with trains that long in 1850.
you can, you have loans as well if needed.
@@Hushey Loans max out at +5M for a 10M total iirc.
