A mature and grounded young man. Being in the moment and living his best life. God bless you! Shout out to your parents and raising such a fine young man.
This was so refreshing to watch. He seems like a cool person. I especially like that he is not caught up in social media. And I like how he is focus on being present and enjoying the moment instead of being distracted by social media. And indeed, "Know yourself before you show yourself to the world".
I sure wish I had figured out life as well as this young man has much sooner in my life. I'm 68 years old, still working on it. By the way I have a Nissan NV3500.
My favorite build yet! I love the Nissan NV2500's. Doing this myself one day! So many great ideas! I'm 6'2" too, so this is the answer to my height and sleeping concerns!
Chase ?- what cool young guy - so positive after loosing his home after the fire. Really together, and has a good perspective on life for someone at 24 years old ( coming from a mountain biker that is 40 years older...) Mo, good interview - great questions lead to more insights !
I live in this area, and I have to say, there are a lot of folks like this. I was born and raised here, but have traveled all around the country, and the people in this area are the kindest, most generous, genuine, and laid back people.
Shout out to this guy a 24 year old without social media! As a 36 year old who can’t see the point in Facebook or instagram we are a dying breed the “social platform” resistors!
I just heard about this Nissan tall van few days ago and I've been watching people who live in this cool van ever since You look great The van looks great too
Chase is so grounded for being so young. He is wise beyond his years. I wish him much success in life and I applaud him for not following the rest of the crowd into the rat race. It takes major cahones to step away and chart your own path in life. Bravo! Your mother must be so proud of her boy. I am trying to figure out how I can come up with the funds to purchase my van. I am so ready. Best of luck to you! and great video and hair to Awesome MTB
I live in Sonoma county. I am sorry for your loss in the Tubbs fire, but I love your van and I think it's so cool that your mom lives in a van too! If you are still in the area, I'm curious about where you typically stay, and if you think this is a good area for van life for someone who doesn't want to travel most of the time? I would only travel for vacation, and the rest of the time I would want to stay here, close to family.
I don't want to be a buzz kill, ha I'm talking like a teen, watching y'all makes me feel young. But I was was a stream and the conv. got on living on the road, retirees, van life, etc. They got talking about how some politicians are trying to outlaw living in vehicles. A mayor has passed the law in one town. It was a prepper channel and it was being said that it is because the gov. doesn't want anyone to be off the grid. I don't know about all that but my point is, for example, in N.C the rich tried to pass a law to privatize some beaches, it stayed on the table for 6 years and failed but no one knew it was even on the table, they were trying to sneak it in. And I've heard one town has passed it but I believe it's against state law. Social media needs to be part of living on the road just so everyone can keep up with what the politicians are doing and then they can head off bad laws. I thought you might want to know this just to have a heads up in case this starts to get traction. Funny thing, I'm not political, a prepper, or live in a vehicle but I'm concerned because of my you tube channel friends living on the road. Sorry I wrote a book and didn't write happy thoughts but maybe it will be helpful someday. It's bout like Jack Nicholson said on the movie Easy Rider, their scared of what you represent, freedom. Later y'all. If you ever seen it, they say Peter Fonda actually got Jack high in that part and Jack wanted to do the part over but the producers left it in and made Jack mad.
.......beautiful home........love a van........have built three homes.......remember cutting grass under spotlight 11 pm after work.......decided i would rather rent than own.......now, van sounds better than turning over most of my income each month for thirty days shelter......just sayin'.
Minimum wage in this area is between $15-$20 hour, plus you typically get 20% in tips, so Chase is right. You can make good money working part time serving food. Once you have experience, there are really nice restaurants where you can easily make $300-$400 in 4-6 hours. I worked at a very fancy restaurant in Sausalito in 2000 and the servers there were averaging $1k per day because the average tip was $100 per table. And that was in 2000. I worked at the corporate office during the day and then would hostess about 3 hours in the evenings and as a hostess I was making at least $100 for a 3 hour shift.
He tells like it is. You gotta think for yourself in what you are going to do for yourself. This is what I am thinking for myself. I am trying to make a Production Company.
Good on him for digging himself out of a very unfortunate situation....his van might be a little too small for my liking, but I can appreciate his decision!
.....yeah, being a minimalist really multiplies one's options for shelter.......i platform my living space on a four point criteria......beauty/order/function/comfort.......just sayin'.......(again)
So many millennials end up with crazy student debt. Servicing student loan debt is what makes people move into the lifestyles your friends took. Did you live at home? Get a scholarship?
People don't use Nissans because Nissans are pieces of shit. Hence cheaper. Who pays this kids bills? So, house burned down so.... buy a van? Guess no insurance?
Chase is probably one of the friendliest most approachable people we’ve met! We would link his social media but he doesn’t have any!
So when can we expect to see you post the tour of Chase's Mom's van?
What?
He's a rare breed
Good for him

"Know yourself before you show yourself." Mad respect to all you van-lifers out there doing your thing. Awesome episode.

I love his spirit 🌷
It's nice to see someone with a path so figured out living life early and not just waiting for retirement and or falling into the typical life rut
So true!!
Dude is the definition of laid back and cool. House burns down in a fire. No problem.... To the van life!!!!! Wooooohooooo
So awesome Chase!! Love the van conversion.
Thanks again for helping me with my bike yesterday! You put every one of those 6’2” to good use! 😄
⛰🚴🏻♀️
Hahaha... I spray painted my gas can a different color so people wouldn't freak out. Love the simple build.

That's the van I wanted! I'm SO jealous. 5yr, 100,000 mile warranty. Just can't get it serviced at any old Nissan dealer - gotta' be commercial.
Thanks, I didn't know this. Good to know.
@@remnad2323 It MAY depend on the dealership too.

Humble young man 👍🏻
Nice. If not to late, drill some air holes on the bed platform for ventilation so you don't get condensation then mold.
Great interview Mo!

This is my new favorite van. It’s all I want/need. LOVE. If it’s ever for sale, please seek me out. :)
I support you bro. Remember you still blessed even live in a van. Because I'm here more struggle
P.S. maybe put some shelves on 1 side of the van over the bed and take the foot stool and convert it to an emergency potty. That's what i would do.
That’s a huge van.
Kinda!
Shout out to Chico State my hometown school. Right now have the same plans as him after school.
